Talk about everything going on tonight here.

  1. London & Kendrick's indy as fuck baggy shorts kinda doomed them out the gate, don't ya think?

  2. That paper tried to kill me, my staff tried to mutiny me, but I'm still here, pilled the fuck out and itching intensely

    ReplyDelete
  3. Clash of the Champions 8. A roll of coins used as a foreign object, and Terry Funk trying to murder Ric Flair via plastic bag suffocation.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Speaking of random tag teams, I wonder how far Lo Down could've gone if Tiger Ali Singh hadn't gotten injured.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Cena's acting during the Orton angle was so absurdly hammy.

    ReplyDelete
  6. This match pisses me off. Such a fuck finish. Orton attacks Cena's father so Cena loses his focus and eats an RKO and loses his title. SIMPLE! Then run the blood filled rematch.

Don't have your top heel bitched out by being punted by dude's daddy.

    ReplyDelete
  7. If only they had know all you had to do was add a flak jacket.

You know what else would we nice, keeping with these booking scenarios
we've been laying out? Terminating the overriding storyline that has for
all intents and purposes been building up since 2011. You can really
trace the start of the 'modern' product back to CM Punk and the
'breaking the fourth wall' bit, which was seeds for the Reality Era and
the 'blurring of the lines' between the on-screen and 'backstage'
happenings. Triple H comes in during this storyline as a company
official for the first time, and from then on there's almost always this
overriding focus on Hunter and the McMahons in power.

    No matter
who wore the gold during that period (Punk, Bryan, Cena, Lesnar) it all
felt like the continuation of the same story that's been developing
since 2011. There has to be an endgame at some point.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Weird transition period Orton. Not The Legend Killer anymore, not The Viper yet.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Wrestling on the Heat match before the PPV's?

    ReplyDelete
  11. The end game for this storyline is when Aurora is 30 and takes over.

That's literally it. That's the plan.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Morphine, they are making me itch like fucking Tyrone Biggums

    ReplyDelete
  13. The video package even lays out the obvious story of the match! Cripes I was losing my mind for this and they do the bullshit finish.

    ReplyDelete
  14. It wasn't personal? Didn't Edge walk into Cena's house and slap his dad in the face?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 31, 2015 at 5:36 PM

    Oomph. lol

    ReplyDelete
  16. Reigns gear looks great when he has the blue accents like at Summerslam.

    ReplyDelete
  17. A slap is recoverable. A PUNT MAN! Punt!

    ReplyDelete
  18. "RAGE IN THESE. TWO. EYES." Was something my friends and I lampooned quite a bit for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Mr. Cena needs to stop getting his assed kicked.

    ReplyDelete
  20. What are you guys watching?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I was legit disappointed when Cena got hurt in 2007 because I wanted Randy to beat his ass and finally take that title.

Worked out because his LMS with Hunter is one of my favorite matches.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Unforgiven 07.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Haha, I know right? But I'm not even kidding. They have ZEEEEERO intention of ever taking themselves off TV. Ever.

Unless it's to set up for a HUGE return to TV....then they might take a month off.

But to be sure, the Helmsley McMahon thing will be a feature of pro wrestling for DECADES to come.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oh yeah this is RIGHT before the injury!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I legit would have applauded if Dana had pulled Ronda from the show because "people can die in pro wrestling, in face someone JUST DID"

    ReplyDelete
  26. WHY ARE YOU SMIRKING!? TEAR HIS HEAD OFF!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 31, 2015 at 5:40 PM

That just makes me not want to watch anymore. Even Vince knew enough at the height of Hulkamania that the same shit for years on end will ultimately sink the ship, so he varied things up - then ultimately just overhauled the company when things were desperate.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ah, I dunno, maybe you could take benadryl for the itching.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Putting on Casino Royale.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well....that also took a threat of prison though lol

    ReplyDelete
  31. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 31, 2015 at 5:41 PM

True. You'd think losing $300 million last year in personal wealth from the cratering stock would also be impetus for change, but NOPE.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah, I gotta try something, I'm throwin' a mad crack fiend over here

    ReplyDelete
  33. They were running ads for an Orton/Cena Cyber Sunday match where you could vote between No DQ, LMS, and Hell In a Cell before Cena got injured. I think Orton was supposed to win that anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Speaking of, there is zero fucking chance Vince didn't come up with that Cole injury from hearing about Aguayo's death.

    ReplyDelete
  35. They were booked for No Mercy in a Last Man Standing match already but Cena got injured like a week before the show. Fucking Kennedy.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Business genius man, SO LOYAL...wait I'm getting my snark mixed up

    ReplyDelete
  37. What is the timestamp on Unforgiven 07?

    ReplyDelete
  38. I am super thrilled to watch this blog do a complete 180 on Michael Cole in the next few weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh goddammit, why am I so anal about watching everything chronologically. Got a bunch of SNMEs and a Clash before making it to the '90s.

    ReplyDelete
  40. He should come back with the haircut he had when he made his debut

    ReplyDelete
  41. LOVE Funk with plastic bag bit. If I remember right, TBS got flack for it and they stopped showing it in replays or someyhi mg

    ReplyDelete
  42. Saxton actually made me appreciate of loud and excitable Cole it.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 31, 2015 at 5:44 PM

The WWE midcard on April 1st, 2015 will look like this: Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Harper, Wade Barrett, Sheamus, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Bray Wyatt, Rusev, Cody Rhodes, Damien Mizdow and the Miz.

The WWE main event scene on April 1st, 2015 will look like this: Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Big Show, Ryback and Kane.

    We have a mild problem...

    ReplyDelete
  44. I love the Ryback but he isn't a main eventer right now.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 31, 2015 at 5:45 PM

After last night, I think he's probably going to be one of Rollins' challengers in the next few months, maybe as early as May.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Damn, Cena looks small back then.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yeah it's going to be fucking HILARIOUS the way this place switches sides before this story is done, haha, can't wait

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm glad it was left on the Network and they just show a little disclaimer on stuff like that.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Cena hasn't showed much fire for a guy who's father was decimated. Crowd is hot for this. They deserved better than this finish.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I was in peak Cena hate so when he got hurt I was like "Meh, not the worst thing in the world ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

    ReplyDelete
  51. DQ win? This feud MUST CONTINUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

    ReplyDelete
  52. lol I see they still had these shit finishes back in 2007.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Spoiler: It didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Finish was criminal. As was the length. 8 minutes? WTF

    ReplyDelete
  55. Spoiler: It's still going right now

    ReplyDelete
  56. Damn, Orton just spiked Cena's dad on his head.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Who cares? As long as the wrestling is fine and the storylines are sound, I don't care who's in what scene.

    ReplyDelete
  58. This is where the match should've gotten crazy, not ended.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Was this before the punt kick was a thing?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Haha, I jumped right into the shit

    ReplyDelete
  61. He gained like 20 pounds of muscle when he returned at the Rumble

    ReplyDelete
  62. No. He first punted Shawn in May 2007 and began using it then. I think he punted Dusty and RVD too.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Yeah. Weird transition period Orton.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm wrong lol

    ReplyDelete
  65. ^ Fucking mid-00's encyclopedia right here

    ReplyDelete
  66. All this post match stuff with Orton attacking his dad and Cena snapping should have been in the match itself. Then Orton hits an RKO and slimes away with the title.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Punted RVD right out of the promotion, too.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I know my 2000-2009 like nobodies business!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Better Call Saul goes on Netflix on Tuesdays

    God I love Tuesdays

    ReplyDelete
  70. Randy getting punted by Daddy Cena. FUCK. THAT.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 31, 2015 at 5:50 PM

Anything from 2007-2011 is a blur for me. I can't even recount what year each WrestleMania took place at off the top of my head.

    ReplyDelete
  72. According to his doc this was the period when Randy was still a dick....*puts head down and pound fist on desk*

    ReplyDelete
  73. Pfft, except for me of course! I CHALLENGE YOU TO A GAME OF JEOPARDY, MY FRIEND.

    ReplyDelete
  74. The main eventers get better chances to shine, the best storylines, and longer matches.

    that's why

    ReplyDelete
  75. Don Cena has better acting chops back with Coach then half the roster today

    ReplyDelete
  76. Mid '03-WrestleMania XX is off limits tho

    ReplyDelete
  77. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 5:51 PM

I'd swap Cena and Ryback there. And I'm not sure I'd call Kane and Show main eventers.

    ReplyDelete
  78. What is the main event for this show?

    ReplyDelete
  79. Eh, I thought he was ludicrously hammy throughout this feud.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Taker/Henry

Anticipate bitch, you know you wanna

    ReplyDelete
  81. BITCH I ain't got no limits!!! Except 2010.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Look at it!!!! These are my fake dog tags!!!!!! I played a marine in a movie!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Kane and Show are more Main event then anyone on his mid card list save Cena and Bryan

    ReplyDelete
  84. Deadman Return. Henry attacked him in May after a Cage Match with Batista. Then Edge cashed in. Bad Day for a Dead Man.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I always hated when Cena would get in backstage brawls because rather than keeping up the intensity he'd bust out all of these goofy 80s one liners, like when he tossed Edge into the Long Island Sound. I watched it again the other day and it was just so over the top cheesy.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Dunno if I haven't seen Coach in awhile or what but he's giving serious "Jasper Sitwell" from Cap2 vibes for some reason

    ReplyDelete
  87. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 5:53 PM

That's a sign you might be allergic. Many people are.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I don't think Cena will be getting any shorter matches as US champion nor Bryan as IC champion. Heck, Bryan has had some of his longest WWE matches in the last couple of months without being WWE champion.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 5:54 PM

Not a good idea to mix opiates and antihistamines, at least not if you want to remain conscious.

    ReplyDelete
  90. The Marine stuff was the tipping point for my Cena opinions. Going strong since August 2006, baby!

    ReplyDelete
  91. I wouldn't even give a shit if that salute wasn't deserving of a fucking court martial by itself.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I can't quite remember when I turned on Cena. Definitely by 07 because I was rooting for Orton to whoop his ass.

    ReplyDelete
  93. This video package just confuses the shit out of me even more.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 5:55 PM

Being in the last match does not make you a main event guy. They're just Seth's lackeys.

    ReplyDelete
  95. F4Wonline.com reports that WWE officials have confirmed that the NXT specials will remain quarterly. They will be changing the wording in their press release that says the specials will air monthly.

    ReplyDelete
  96. CJ Parker was released.

    ReplyDelete
  97. So then...what's the purpose of the press release?

Like...if they edit the announcement to announce nothing....wtf is the point?

    ReplyDelete
  98. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 5:57 PM

Good. WWE shouldn't be doing 12 PPVs a year, absolutely no reason for NXT to be doing it.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I first got into the IWC in mid-05 when the Cena hate just began and I didn't understand it. WrestleMania 22 is when I started to become on the fence about him, and boiled over to dislike by the Edge feud.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I think they were just listing the original content that is on the Network. WWE 24 is on there as well.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Won't lie Henry scared me around this time. Hearing his music inspired uneasiness.

    ReplyDelete
  102. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 31, 2015 at 5:57 PM

Good Jobber, Bull Dempsey is now the official NXT jobber.

    ReplyDelete
  103. JBL's really been doing commentary off and on for EIGHT years?! Jesus, he should be better.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Ahhh, ok. For some reason I thought that release was NXT-centric

    ReplyDelete
  105. He did it from 06-07 and was awesome. Then returned to the ring from 08-09 Before leaving and coming back for commentary in 2012. He's sucked for most of his 2012-2015 run.

    ReplyDelete
  106. He was awesome once upon a time

    ReplyDelete
  107. He sucked anyway. Four years in Developmental and he still couldn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Creepy thought: 2007, Connor's being born right about now

    ReplyDelete
  109. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 31, 2015 at 6:00 PM

    Good jobber.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Good timing with WWE's embodiment of Death making his entrance.

    ReplyDelete
  111. According to Mike Johnson he asked to be released and it was an amicable split.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Awwwwwww....that's just not...well, whatever

    ReplyDelete
  113. He has been walking for five minutes, how is he still just at the edge of the stage?

    ReplyDelete
  114. What show are you watching?

    ReplyDelete
  115. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 31, 2015 at 6:02 PM

Fun fact: Daniel Bryan has been in the opening match in three of the last four WrestleManias.

    ReplyDelete
  116. It's funny, after almost 25 years of Taker, that Vince legit didn't understand the appeal of The Sandman

    Uh...the entrance dummy

    ReplyDelete
  117. Starting the main event of Unforgiven07

    ReplyDelete
  118. I recall hearing that Vince was actually a fan of Sandman and wasn't happy to see him go in 2007.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Shawn had a pretty good curtain jerking streak going in the beginning too

    ReplyDelete
  120. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 31, 2015 at 6:04 PM

Yep, three in a row between 1991 and 1993.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Wow really? I only remember stories from the ONS days but I always read that he didn't understand it at all

Of course, he probably never saw Sandman with his actual music either...

    ReplyDelete
  122. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 6:04 PM

He understood it, he just didn't want to pay for the actual song. Though fuck giving Metallica one cent.

    ReplyDelete
  123. So I think JBL just accidentally called Taker Mark.

    ReplyDelete
  124. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 31, 2015 at 6:04 PM

So... Zayn is dating Paige, lucky muthafucka.

    ReplyDelete
  125. His voice is fucking weird in this, he keeps calling him "Markle" too

    ReplyDelete
  126. Look how thin Taker is.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Because he reminded Vince of himself. He spent so much time parodying rich people as Mr. McMahon that he needed a reminder of who he really was at heart.

    ReplyDelete
  128. He's in RIDICULOUS shape here for sure

    ReplyDelete
  129. His pronunciation of it still has some semblance of a K at least.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Terrible bowl cut on Lil Naitch tonight

    ReplyDelete
  131. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 6:06 PM

I love the story about how he almost got a Nitro shut down for smoking near the pyrotechnic.

    ReplyDelete
  132. The crowd didn't chant "You suck Zayn" at her so how do you know they're dating?

    ReplyDelete
  133. I'm surprised he wasn't more popular in WCW. Of course they didn't do much with him while he was there.

    ReplyDelete
  134. For a long time I was stunned Henry made it past that first crazy contract...and now he's still around 20 years later

That dude's career is a wet dream

    ReplyDelete
  135. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 6:08 PM

    YOU SUCKED RAMI!

    ReplyDelete
  136. His first contract didn't run out until like a year before this show.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Nothing like a good steak

    ReplyDelete
  138. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 6:09 PM

Southern fans weren't exactly the target ECW audience. And no one is getting over with a name like Hardcore Hak.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Yeah that's what I mean, he got a 10-year in 96 didn't he?

And he's still around in 2015, it's amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Hasn't he also been in a title match at every Mania?

    ReplyDelete
  141. He signed another 10 year contract after his first ran out.

    ReplyDelete
  142. And he's never really had a consistent year health wise.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Shush Art, I'm pilled out I'll believe you

    ReplyDelete
  144. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©March 31, 2015 at 6:11 PM

Rami is his real first name.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Yeah that's what I admire about it, he kind of just snuck through, he's decent but never great, no reliable...

He's just good enough to not get noticed either way, good for him

    ReplyDelete
  146. He went off TV for a month or two in 05 and came back in crazy shape.

    ReplyDelete
  147. This thread sucks, I need some Roman Reigns hot takes.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 6:12 PM

You didn't hear about last night? Fans were chanting "you sucked (whichever guy said chick is married to/dating)" during the divas match. Paige didn't get targeted because no one really knows about her and Generico.

    ReplyDelete
  149. That's the very reason the night threads are better haha

    ReplyDelete
  150. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 6:13 PM

Come to think of it, yeah. The one that wasn't he beat HHH clean and won the title later that night.

    ReplyDelete
  151. About the 'give the divas a chance' stuff. Are they actually producing decent matches with the extra time?

    ReplyDelete
  152. He was briefly great.

    ReplyDelete
  153. That's the point I was making. The Raw thread and the update thread are unreadable from all the 411 types.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Mark Henry on offense. Not a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Gotcha, my bad I'm on morphine I don't process well

    ReplyDelete
  156. The guitarist from A Day to Remember is, at least after he tweeted a pic of he and Paige at the HOF and was stoked to go to Mania with Paige's mom.

    ReplyDelete
  157. That fence doesn't stand a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  158. There's been some good ones lately. AJ and Nikki had an okay-ish one and then Paige and Nikki had a legit MOTN (well until Bryan/Ziggler) last week.

    ReplyDelete
  159. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©March 31, 2015 at 6:15 PM

Man, lot of heat in that Raw Chant thread, which lead me to wonder about something, if chanting "We Are Awesome", random wrestlers, and doing the wave aren't a cool thing to do at shows, what made it acceptable on the Raw after Mania 29? I'm curious about that.

    ReplyDelete
  160. The magical time in 2011 where Henry and Show had good matches.

    ReplyDelete
  161. A bit better. I think it might take some of them a while to get used to the time.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 6:15 PM

He still looks like a fucking jackass on the WM poster. And he either needs to turn or fuck off for a couple months to blow off his bad heat. A Big Show feud is about the worst possible thing you can do for him.

    ReplyDelete
  163. It sucked then too.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Henry, Taker and Sheamus.

Big Shows had weird great matches opponents.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I could forgive any chant besides "We Are Awesome" they could have chanted horrible things at anybody they wanted. The moment they chant "We Are Awesome" I cannot abide.

    ReplyDelete
  166. It's only one show out of the year so I don't see why people make such a big deal over it.

    ReplyDelete
  167. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 31, 2015 at 6:16 PM

    He looks like Zayn.

    ReplyDelete
  168. If June 16th were National "Boo Your Baseball Team" day I'd think it was pretty fucking stupid too.

    ReplyDelete
  169. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©March 31, 2015 at 6:17 PM

It's been happening more and more lately.

    ReplyDelete
  170. This. That's when it turns into a crowd sucking each other's cocks.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 6:17 PM

"We are awesome" has never been acceptable. Ever. And after 29 it was a new thing. Now WWE is encouraging, which automatically makes it lame.

    ReplyDelete
  172. I think there's a big difference between MLB and WWE. MLB isn't scripted entertainment.

    ReplyDelete
  173. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 31, 2015 at 6:18 PM

So, Brock is the top babyface after last night?

    ReplyDelete
  174. I couldn't beliee it because in the thread I was making jokes about how they were going to start chanting "US!!!! WE!!!! ME!!!!"

    And then they did....

    ReplyDelete
  175. he was redneck-y enough to get over down south. Just needed to lose the piercings.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Fucking hell. Still can't really breathe, still sneezing and coughing like a bastard, and my headache has stuck around all day. This is dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 6:18 PM

I dunno, chanting "X-Pac" at Orton and Sheamus was pretty fucking hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  178. MLB has a LOOOOOOOOOT more years of dealing with a shitty product between a decent show lol

    ReplyDelete
  179. Oh I guess that PPV on the other tab ended....

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    ReplyDelete
  180. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©March 31, 2015 at 6:19 PM

    ReplyDelete
  181. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 31, 2015 at 6:19 PM

I hope you don't have a week like I did last week.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Sick? Or is the shitty longitude killing you?

    ReplyDelete
  183. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 31, 2015 at 6:20 PM

Still, the name was a killer from the start.

    ReplyDelete
  184. yup, which makes all the sense in the world.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Honestly, I don't really care that much about the "We are Awesome" chant, I'd be more annoyed if they were doing it the whole show, but it was during that crapshow main event where they had totally checked out on the show at that point. I personally wouldn't do it if I were at an event, but to me it's not the worst thing in the history of the world. I think the diva chants in all honestly were worse.

    ReplyDelete
  186. It's the only live show where we pretend this isn't insufferable, disrespectful behavior.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Yeah but if your team is playing bad it's not like it's because the manager told them to go out and get one hit and make five errors. WWE has intentionally trolled its audience several times and has written some pretty bad storylines.
