Question for the Blog 'O' Doom Universe.

> Every since I installed the 1.42 update for the WWE Network on my PS3 the Network will play for roughly a minute or so.  After that minute the video skips a tad, freezes five seconds later, but the audio continues to play.  After about 10 more seconds or so the audio stops and my PS3 completely freezes and I have to reboot it.
>
> My question for anyone out there is:  IS there ANY way to fix this?  I'm forced to install the update so that's not really an option. I've deleted, and re-installed the WWE Network App 3 times now.  It's very disheartening because I've literally been subscribed since the Day 1 Launch.

> I really miss my NXTs, old WCW PPVs, and the occasional new content.  Any help, remedies, or just general empathy would be greatly appreciated.

> PS.  Roman Reigns isn't THAT bad.

Sez you.

As I've mentioned recently, the Network has been getting nearly unwatchable on Roku, XBone and PS3 for me too.  It buffers FOREVER especially during archival content.  I don't know what's up with the Network but the problem is on their end. I can't even watch Nitro!

Comments

  1. I only watch on my Roku. Yesterday was pretty bad but tonight it has been perfect.

  2. So far I have had no problem with PS3. {knocks on wood}

  3. You guys should direct your questions to @AskWWENetwork on Twitter. They offer helpful advice all the time, like uninstalling and reinstalling the app. And uninstalling and reinstalling the app. And uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

  4. So even installing and uninstalling get 50/50 booking.

  5. It didn't work for me on PS3 for the longest time until I figured out that it wouldn't go past the login in screen if I had a special character in my password. Weird.

  6. My entire PS3 just bricked last week, and I had to buy a new one. It was 8 years old, so I should have seen it coming.

  7. That's bullshit.

My NES still runs and it's ten years older than I am.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Nes didn't have a disc drive and a hard drive.

  9. Don't just stand there drinking coffee waiting on the network to buffer when a man's talking to ya

  10. My roku does shit like that for on demand stuff. Gets really annoying. Some days it works fine tho

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yeah mine has bad days too (on demand content stops then pretends to load forever then nothing)

    Everything is fine

Yeah, no thanks. I dont have the patience for that

  14. I can't tell if it's my shitty internet (alleged 6MBPs), or the router, or the devices. But I mean, Nexflix runs fantastically. Hulu does great. Network has been kinda poor.

    ReplyDelete
  15. But did you try uninstalling, and the RE-installing, the APP.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Man, the longer I wait for Rogers and Bell to work something out, the least likely I am to even get the network.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Nothing you can do on PS3. Just wait for an update. I remember when I had similar problems with Youtube, took over a year for them to make it watchable.

    ReplyDelete
  18. is it the older model? I had one for about four years, by the end of it Hulu plus was just a sea of buffering screens. upgraded the apparatus, works fine now.

  19. I'm outta here McMahon, I can't take it!

  20. I have been arguing via email and phone for a week with them. For some reason on any device I've tried when I type in my password it's automatically doubling it and won't accept it. I've changed passwords twice. I was a day one subscriber but if it's not resolved by Wrestlemania I won't be a customer for awhile. I love the network, but the lack of help has me frustrated. NjPW world is working fine so they'll get my money in the interim.

  21. Yeah, setiously. I've been jamming a screwdriver handle in with the game since 1992, but it still works.

I've been having more and more trouble with the Network on Roku; whenever I load up a PPV, the screen will pixelate and revert to the start screen with John Cena. I have to pause it and restart seven or eight times before it clears up.

  23. Roku issues here too for older content

    ReplyDelete
  24. It's about 2 years old, not too old

    ReplyDelete
  25. Accessing the Network on a system designed for video games is the problem FYI. Apple TV never lets me down.

My 360 is shot, won't load anything.

  27. I had to get the pins re aligned on mine to avoid having to do the old "blow in it and try again" method 1000 times but anyone can do that themselves and yeah, the machine functions perfectly some 30 years after release.

  28. Nintendo built their stuff to last. A museum has a Game Boy from the Persian Gulf War that was in a bombed out building or something and it STILL works.

  29. I've been having an issue on my Roku 2 XS where it takes a while to start and will sometimes buffer a few times in the first minute or so, but it's fine after. This seems to have started last month. I chalked it up to servers being overloaded due to the increase in users because of the free month. Guessing that wasn't the case.

Fortunately, it's watchable for me aside from the rough first minute or so, but it's also something that wasn't happening until a month ago, so it's a little frustrating.

  30. I've been having problems with it on the Xbox One. Right now, I'm trying to watch WrestleMania 1 but it keeps freezing and kicking me out.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I would say that assessment might be true people were trying to watch the Network on a Super Nintendo, but since most consoles (XBOX ONE and PS4 especially) are now considered entertainment consoles and use similar specs that are found on computers I no longer think the system is the problem.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Watching it on my PS4 is fine, but I have a Roku 3 and a Roku HD and I keep getting a "this content is not available" message. At first it was just for old PPV's but it did it when I tried to watch NXT as well.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I watched NXT last night on my laptop and a Clash on my PS3 this afternoon. Everything worked fine. Of course, now that I've said that, the next time I log on my PS3 will explode in my face, Ambrose style.

  34. Towards the end of my subscription, anytime I'd log into the network on my ps3, I'd get signed out of the psn and have to sign in over and over until the content worked. Sometimes it was only once or twice, sometimes it never worked. Netflix works perfectly on my ps3, so I know it's not my playstation.

It wasn't a big issue since the iPad app worked flawlessly but then they updated that and you couldn't scrub forward through videos and you couldn't stretch old ppvs to fit the screen.

    I don't regret canceling.

  35. Thanks for the input y'all. Hell of it is. This is a recent development. It worked perfectly a week ago. Reckon Ill wait till update 1.43. And satiate my rasslin fix off various websites for less than 9.99 :(

  36. I've watched Netflix on a nes. Wwe network on Abe's might be a cool idea

  37. Apple TV is for streaming services and streaming services only. I'd suggest investing in such a wonderful product.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm not sure my problems are as severe as the rest of you here, but I watch the Network on my PC, which is connected to a television. The on demand content isn't perfect; these days, it seems to jump a couple of seconds as opposed to simply freezing up.

One thing I do wonder is how the live stream works for everyone, because it works fine for me- I'm watching Wrestlemania X right now and I haven't had one issue. Also, replays of NXT always work without a problem, which is curious. I find that any content that doesn't have those bookmarks along the timeline works fine. I wonder if the issues have something to do with that.
