It's raining out today. On that note..I am inspired by the legendary poet Hilary Duff:
Let the Reigns fall down fall down, and kill smarks dreams
Let him wash away smarks sanity
Cause there will be no Bryan
    and the smarks will scream
    Let the Reigns fall down
    Also triple H and sting

  7. I read that MSG already took the banner down . lol.

Also, the track pad on this new laptop is crazy sensitive. Driving me a little crazy. I may need to get a wireless optical scan mouse.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I still use a stationary mouse with the ball. Just feel comfortable with it.

    Cover letter?

You need to learn to cook man. We don't do cover letters and resumes and shit. You walk in and ask for a job and you either get hired or don't.

  12. Pumped for the ROH PPV tonight. Styles vs. ACH and reDRagon vs. Young Bucks will be awesome.

Don't see why they would. With the Knicks the way they are now they could use some Hogan in the garden.

Someone has to keep this place going on the weekends...

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hogan has won more world titles than the Rangers and Knicks combined. No reason to rub that in their faces.

Hogan won a title in the Garden 10 years before the Rangers did. And Triple H's return puts Willis Reed's limp onto the court to shame.

  26. WWE said they were going to add all the HoF ceremonies in their entirety today. All I see is a handful of 3 minute clips. Lame.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The HHH return pop - The guy was the #1 heel when he got hurt. They showed some rehab clips, no hint that HHH would return as a face. Still don't know why MSG went nuts for his return.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't remember it like that at the time, but it's been 13+ years and I didn't go to youtube to rewatch it. That's one guy I could never get used to as a face. HHH & Kevin Sullivan. Natural heels.

I rewrote the lyrics to Bow Down to the King to fit my cat. Enjoy.

Behold the cat...the cat of cats.
    (he wants treats punk)

His name is Panthro and he my cat
I don't overfeed him cause then he gets fat
He likes to roam in the neighborhood
He hunts birds and mice...and he hunts them good.
The cats eats their head...leaves them broken and dead.

Bow down to the...bow down to the cat.

  46. Live dangerously, Calhoun.

  47. I have a membership at the university where I work's gym, but I like having a bench and stuff at home too. Just ordered a pull up bar thing which I just put together

    ReplyDelete
  48. Calhounerd?

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm going to pick up a goalie before the games start to pick up extra points. I have two options, both back up goalies getting a start today but they both suck. No idea who to pick.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 1, 2015 at 9:49 AM

Random thoughts: there's a lot of wrestlers I can't fucking stand. Jeff Hardy, Bret Hart, Undertaker, etc... But I don't wish them any ill will, I just think they suck for various reasons.

Jay Briscoe? I hope he gets killed in the most painful way possible.

    ReplyDelete
  51. You really love that cat, Calhoun.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I think you need to get out of the house today.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Do you get points per save?

    ReplyDelete
  54. YankeesHoganTripleHFanMarch 1, 2015 at 9:51 AM

he was being bad one time so I gave him an F5. To show I was serious I gave him another one...he no sold them both.

    so true

    ReplyDelete
  57. There's fantasy hockey?

    ReplyDelete
  58. 0.2 points per save, 5 for a win, -1 for GA, and 3 for a shut out.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Jay briscoe is a total Calhoun.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I heard Hallelujah this morning. Good stuff.

well now Bret Hart has tears in his eyes because of that

    Any points for penalties?

    ReplyDelete

whats up with the Calhoun? I didn't know old Haystacks made his way onto the bog

    ReplyDelete
  67. Honestly not the biggest fan of how Bayless set up this league but is still fun. I set up my own for another league and it has been a blast. It's super deep and leads to fun end of the week scores in the 500-900 range.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I thought they were referring to former vp john c Calhoun

    ReplyDelete
  69. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 1, 2015 at 9:54 AM

I passed out last night and missed this whole running joke.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Who are your two goalie choices today?

    ReplyDelete
  71. YankeesHoganTripleHFanMarch 1, 2015 at 9:55 AM

Fitness is my passion, (that and writing song parodys about my cat) but I can't stand the thought of working out at home. Need to get out and do it.

    ReplyDelete
  72. 3 for goals, 2 for assists, no points for penalty minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I do, now and again. Used to do it obsessively for a while a couple of years ago. I found it was really good for toning up and cardio, but I'm mainly trying to add muscle at the moment. I'm pretty lean so I'm not really trying to lose weight at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Either Montoya or Enroth. Both suck and both are facing good teams.

    ReplyDelete
  77. No, he said:

"The Delaware Senate passed a bill yesterday that allows same sex couples to get married. If that makes you happy, then congratulations!!!!!!

... try and teach my kids that there's nothing wrong with that and I'll fucking shoot you"

    ReplyDelete
  78. I hear that. I love my home comforts though. Much prefer working out at home, and I find it easy to stay motivated to do it. I rarely come home from work and just crash out on the sofa

    ReplyDelete
  79. YankeesHoganTripleHFanMarch 1, 2015 at 9:57 AM

I respect that. To each his own.

    ReplyDelete
  82. YankeesHoganTripleHFanMarch 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM

I agree. I am straight. Gay marriage has nothing to do with me so let them get married.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Adam "Colorado" CurryMarch 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM

Okay, I misquoted his stupid Twatter post. Still, fuck that bigot shithead, hope someone puts a bit of lead where his brain should be.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Roddy Piper is one out of shape Calhoun in this Always Sunny episode.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Exactly.
I'm divorced so I would be a big hypocrite if I said "you gays would ruin marriage by getting married."

    ReplyDelete
  86. What do you mainly do? Are you a runner or a weights guy or just everything?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Yeah, in the HOF section. On the ps3 as well.

    ReplyDelete
  88. YankeesHoganTripleHFanMarch 1, 2015 at 10:03 AM

Never been married myself. In fact I am single these days. Maybe that's why I am writing song parodys about my cat

    ReplyDelete
  89. Shit, that's a really tough choice.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Chicken and Dumplings for breakfast... fuck it.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I went with Enroth. Averaging 4.8 points per game in our league. Montoya only averages 2.8, plus he facing a better team in the Lightning. With that being said, I'm fully expecting him to post a shut out.

The worst part about all this is I was forced to drop Hammond to pick up Enroth. Hopefully I can get him back tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  92. The Amazing GamecockMarch 1, 2015 at 10:09 AM

I miss fantasy booking for wrestle.net back in 2000.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Moving on to Van Morrison as I do some weekend work from home....

    ReplyDelete
  94. This is what REALLY happens.....

    I dont watch Mania.

    ReplyDelete
  95. It's like you're in my head!

Van on a Sunday is the correct way of doing things.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Either way, it would be tough. Not sure if Ducks are starting Andersen or Gibson. Gibson has been adequate but if it's Andersen's first game back, he might be a bit rusty and Dallas could jump on him.

I think Hammond's bubble will burst eventually. The team is playing awesome defence in front of him.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Gotta do the 2004 one if you haven't seen it. I still think it's the best one, as they hadn't WWE-ized the entire thing yet.

    ReplyDelete
  98. He made those tweets a long time ago and then immediately afterwards, his contract was up and he sat out for six months. Carey Siken, the openly gay president of ROH, eventually forgave him even though Carey was deeply hurt by the whole thing.

It's problematic, to say the least. My feelings are I don't have to agree with someone's values to enjoy their matches and if Carey forgave him, cool. I was never going to buy Jay Briscoe merch anyway and much prefer just about anyone else as champ, but I'm also a diehard ROH fan.

    ReplyDelete
  99. what equipment do you have? any racks/platforms? been thinking about turning my garage into a home gym if I can find some cheap bumper plates for DLs

    ReplyDelete
  100. I hate working out at home too, but this winter it's been a fucking drag driving to the gym especially with the number of snowstorms and the roads being shit.

    ReplyDelete
  101. you know he loves you for that.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I'm a big cardio guy and can't do it without going to the gym. I'm just way too social to be motivated to do it at home. I do a lot of yoga, too.

I'm weird, though, cuz I'm naturally pretty broad, so I don't look like a cardio guy. I also ate nothing but junk all of last year and added a few pounds, but it's coming off at a pretty good rate.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Agreed. In theory I'd work out more if I had the stuff at home, in practice I'd probably blow it off more. Listening to music on the drive and drinking a coffee with a chocolate muffin in the parking lot is part of the routine - I had to settle for a blue berry muffin the other day and it threw me all off.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I've got a barbell bench, dumbells, treadmill and a pull up bar. I've just realised pull ups are hard as fuck and this thing may gather a bit of dust. My wife's also got a yoga mat and one of this big giant ball things that I'm confused by. The bench cost about £100. It's a bit wobbly but I haven't died so far! It's currently got 65kg on it

    ReplyDelete
  105. It was a good year to have Kane and Seguin on your fantasy team. Until the last week. I'm not sure if Ribero and Tatar are going to pick up the slack.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I'm also in the job hung despite having a job. It's very daunting at times. I'm trying to do one application a day, but changing the cover letter and resume for each sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  107. and since then, HHH has booked himself so many times hoping to get a monster babyface pop like that, just once more. the Orton feud at Mania 25, the HBK tag teams, the Brock feud, the good guy face of WWE before the Authority went full heel, etc. And I'm sure a part of him just hates the fact that he could never get that reaction a second time, while guys like Austin, Rock, and even Foley could.

    ReplyDelete
  108. He's likely not going to lose until Cole comes back because that's the big feud. Also, AJ doesn't want the belt.

    ReplyDelete
  109. You and me both, brother. I could not be more excited for those two matches.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I've gotten into a pretty steady routine. Home about half-five, then from then until 7 I'm in the spare room/gym with wrestling/UFC on and working out. The only downside is the university gym is full of incredibly hot 18-21 year olds and the spare room isn't.

    ReplyDelete
  111. That's nice to get such an early start. I work at home and rarely get done before 6 or 7.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Pull-ups are my mortal enemy. I'm determined to crack them one day....

    ReplyDelete
  113. Aye, the uni's pretty flexible with hours, if I get in early I can leave early

    ReplyDelete
  114. You work for a university?? I'm very jealous. I worked at one for a bit on a contract and it was incredible.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I hate pullups, but then again my rotator cuff keeps giving me problems - I find it easier to do them with a neutral grip, or do chinups instead.

    ReplyDelete
  116. so I no longer have the WWE network. But on the upside, MLB TV just renewed

    ReplyDelete
  117. yeah, been trying to get into this place for *years*. Finally got a job here last year. It is the best working environment I've ever been in

    ReplyDelete
  118. "Ween" Dean AndrewsMarch 1, 2015 at 10:28 AM

Hm? Sounds juicy and interesting, what gives here?

    ReplyDelete
  119. They just announced Earthquake vs Ludvig Borga for WM 10 on this WM Report. Add that one to the list of matches that never happened.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I've been doing DDP Yoga and watching what I eat lately but I'm probably gonna just say fuck it and eat Chinese food today.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I'm swinging around like a motherfucker.... I'm sure it's supposed to be a more controlled motion than this!

    ReplyDelete
  122. "Ween" Dean AndrewsMarch 1, 2015 at 10:29 AM

Tazz on commentary during Wrestlemania 24's MITB match entrances:

"Shelton Benjamin is the gold standard apropos the tights"

Mongo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tazz >> Mike Adamle

    ReplyDelete
  123. That's a weird one. He was advertised for a match at the Rumble too that didn't happen. Wonder if recovered and then relapsed

    ReplyDelete
  124. I have an exercise bike, elliptical, yoga mats and weights. I love being able to work out at home.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Isn't it sad that 20 years ago people were happy with iyh for $15 and today people are complaining to pay 9.99 for rumble, wm, summerslam, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  126. How´s the DDP Yoga thing working?

    ReplyDelete
  127. Yeah, I'm gonna try and work out some different moves on this one. I'll try tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  128. It's the best. The gym I sometimes go to is pretty good, but it does have LOUD MUSIC BLARING ALL THE TIME.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Twenty years ago people still gave a shit. That was before the concerted effort to enforce ad nauseum that no one should care about anything on the show, and anyone who does is a pathetic loser.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Watching wire season 2. So weird them trying to explain what text messaging is

    ReplyDelete
  131. PPVs back then featured matches that wouldn't or hadn't happened on TV 200 times before/after for free.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I'm like you, much rather workout at home than a gym. I just put something on the WWE Network and then just knock out 20 miles on the exercise bike.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I'm doing a re-watch of Oz and it's definitely weird to see how backwards the tech was back in those days.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Pretty good. It's helped my back a ton. Lots of good stretching.

    ReplyDelete
  135. "Lukewarm" MrJustinBMarch 1, 2015 at 10:39 AM

Man, SNL was terrible last night. Like... More than usual.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I always love telling my students about technology when I was their age.
"Back in my day we had pagers and we had to go to a pay phone if we had to call them back."
"Back in my day if you wanted something printed out, it would take you 5 minutes to print one page."

    ReplyDelete
  137. Just put that show out of its misery

    ReplyDelete
  138. Still takes that long to print at my crap job. I hate printers.

    ReplyDelete
  139. And you needed noise cancelling headphones to keep from going deaf from the sound of the printer.

    ReplyDelete
  140. This pretty much encapsulates the issue.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Can anyone tell when was the last time that show was funny?

    ReplyDelete
  142. Problem with snl or any late show: if a segment is funny, I see it on twitter or Facebook the next day like the saved by the bell sketch. I don't have to go through an hour of crap to get one good segment.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Doug Collins and Jalen Rose just said James Harden is the MVP. I haven't been paying much attention to the NBA but that seems wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I would say he's in the mix with several guys. Curry and Westbrook are having monster years (there is at least one other guy but I can't think of his name) and Harden's defense is just so bad, I think he would need a runaway offensive season to beat out the other guys.

    ReplyDelete
  145. He's had monster stats and carrying an injury ridden Rockets squad to a top-3 seed.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Problem is, is there a single match to look forward to at WM? Ziggler vs Bryan may be good if they give it time, but nothing feels even close WM worthy, especially the main event. Some IYHs from 20 years ago may be better than this year's WM.

    ReplyDelete
  147. CruelConnectionNumber2March 1, 2015 at 10:55 AM

    Eat me, bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Sage Steele sucks. She's always cutting people off so she can babble. No one tuned in to hear you talk. Gah

    ReplyDelete
  149. There really isn't another guy unless you want to say LeBron just cause

    ReplyDelete
  150. I love it because I rarely care at all about the guest, but you can catch the funny bits.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I think there's a shit ton of TV shows and movies where the entire premise would fall apart if cell phones existed

    ReplyDelete
  152. Well now your keyboards ruined.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Watched the Vice: Killing Cancer special. Holy crap. Bright future we potentially have

    ReplyDelete
  154. Lorne Michaels is a Calhoun.

    ReplyDelete
  155. He turned a laughing stock team into a legit contender while putting up his usual monster numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  156. At least we could count on Bret and Shawn back then.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Ahh Season 2...easily the weakest Season, but still great just cause its The Wire

    ReplyDelete
  158. Only knock against LeBron is the lack of consistency. They just started getting it together the last few weeks; whereas, the other guys have been doing it all year.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Definitely. I don't know how people can do long stretches of cardio without wrestling on the TV. Running outdoors? Insane!

    ReplyDelete
  160. The numbers don't lie, his stats are just as impressive as everyone else even if he wasn't his usual self earlier in the season. Thunder might not make the playoffs and Harden can't carry Houston that far.

    ReplyDelete
  161. DeAndre Jordan has never shot better than 53% from the line. It would make sense to foul him every play but I'm against hack-a-whoever on principle

    ReplyDelete
  162. I love season 2. Better than 4 or 5.

    ReplyDelete
  163. LeBron is a lot like Jordan in his prime. He's always the best player and if the Cavs get to the point that they gel, they are going to be a really tough out for anyone in the playoffs. He could definitely still win MVP with a strong finish.

    ReplyDelete
  164. I can't believe he's not in the conversation. People still bitter about Si getting the scoop?

    ReplyDelete
  165. I remember Hack-a-Shaq going particularly horrible for the Portland Trailblazers.

  166. My guess is two fold, 1) Lebron fatigue. You can only talk about how great he is for so long and 2) The Cavs haven't been that good all year (until lately) and that always falls on the best player.

  167. It worked when the Bulls did it in 96. Jordan is already 1/4 in this game. It's effective but it's just bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  168. People aren't grasping how bad the Cavs were the last 4 years. He turned the entire franchise around.

  169. Liked the isis sketch.

  170. They had 1 bad stretch of the season.

    ReplyDelete
  171. 1 bad stretch = the first few months of the season. They have it together now but those first couple of months count also

  172. Replace Reigns with your cat in the WM main event. He'd get a better reaction.

  173. They also had huge expectations, and when those weren't met early on (much like the first year he was with the Heat), a lot of people wrote him out of MVP voting.

  174. He's in the top 3 for me with Steph Curry and LBJ. He's been a monster on offense, more impressive considering he's been without Dwight Howard for almost half the year

You might be onto something. He was bad the other day so I gave him an F5. To show I was serious I gave him another one....he no sold them both.

  176. I miss the days where a guy would come in for 6 months and we'd still remember him 20 plus years later.

There's some guys on the current roster who've been there 6 years and i'd forget they existed within a year or two.

  177. D-Rose can sit out 6 weeks or 6 years but it's not going to help his knees. If the knees are gone, they are gone.

    ReplyDelete
  178. I think a lot of that was because LBJ was battling something injury-wise early; since he took those games off to rest, he's back to Best Player on the Planet LeBron. Their roster is also much better: Mozgov, Shumpert, and JR Smith are much better upgrades in their rotation.

  179. If he were a better promo he could make the switch to wrestling.

Dammit now I have the Bulls theme song in my head/

  181. I dvr'd a bunch of old Looney tunes.I'm watching one now where Roman Reigns boy Sylvester gets put in a bird addict recovery program and tries to work the 12 steps with the help of his sponsor but keeps relapsing like an addict. Its fucking hysterical!

    ReplyDelete
  182. Sigh, stellar start by my Bulls. Maybe at the end of episode 3 of "The Slap: I Don't Take Crap," Chicago will look a little better.

    ReplyDelete
  183. heir roster is also much better: Mozgov, Shumpert, and JR Smith are much better upgrades in their rotation.

This doesn't do much to prove how valuable LeBron is, but I get what you are saying.

  184. How is that show? The name is a worst of all-time contender.

    ReplyDelete
  185. He's a B+ player

    ReplyDelete
  186. Was Lord Alfred Hayes always this terrible?

    ReplyDelete
  187. Joey Crawford always trying to get himself over. That ref is a mark for himself. No one bought a ticket to see you brother

    ReplyDelete
  188. It is hilariously bad. A stellar hatewatch. Currently Gwyneth Paltrow's mom is doing an accent of completely undetermined origin. British, I think...its quality is close to Russell Crowe's Irish accent in Winter's Tale.

    ReplyDelete
  189. Yes. I can comfortably say yes.

    ReplyDelete
  190. Sounds like Earl Hebner always shoving people and having more spots than some wrestlers.

    ReplyDelete
  191. He's a big enough asshole for Tim Duncan of all people to hate him

    ReplyDelete
  192. He should have retired a decade ago. That guy is awful!
