Michael Cole is still dead

If rumors are true and "Michael Cole" shows up on Raw, would this have been the most ridiculous fake injury on-air talent have recovered from in a week?

As I recall, Triple H survived being dropped from his car when it was lifted up by 20-30 feet by Austin.  The Rock survived the nWo beat down followed by his ambulance being jacknifed by Hogan's semi.  Vince survived the explosion, but they dropped the storyline on that.

RIP Michael Cole.

Well, plans change.  I was hoping to find a clip on Youtube of "Mr. Burns was pronounced dead at the hospital, before being moved to a better hospital where his condition was upgraded to alive."

It also blows my mind that they have access to Jim Ross and Joey Styles as temporary commentary choices and still feel like they HAVE to rush Michael Cole back as if people somehow give a shit about him.  They spent an entire year building up an angle where he was a complete dickface to the fans and then just expected them to suddenly like him again because Lawler had a heart attack?

Comments

  1. Just like Shane-o-Mac paying fans to stop booing!

    ReplyDelete
  2. Don't they realise, in this so called "reality" era, where the majority of fans are internet savvy, that actually covering up and editing reactions for someone will actively hurt them more. It's not Reigns fault at all, but it certainly doesn't make me want to like him on principle alone.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I think Cole is the only guy willing to deal with all the bullshit that goes on with announcing Raw - product placement, Vince screaming in his headset, corporate shilling, mentioning the Network 50 times.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Selling the beating Lesnar gave him was the perfect opportunity to take him off television and repackage him or hit the reset button with him and come back with a fresh feud that keeps him out of the title picture for a bit but it looks like they're not turning him heel or keeping him out of the title picture so who knows. The Reigns train is dangerously close to falling off the tracks for good.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Plus, they didn't even have to do it. Those fans? 30 more seconds and they were going to go rabid in favor of Reigns

    ReplyDelete
  6. Of all people for Vince to be mad at for not being a yes man puppet he is shocked and enraged Stone Cold isn't being that guy?

Also a correcting: TNA is planning to throw money they don't have down a toilet in late June

    ReplyDelete
  7. Vince will eventually crawl back to Austin for one reason: WWE needs Austin FAR MORE than Austin needs WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I bet a feud with the Big Show will freshen him up

    ReplyDelete
  9. C'mon, no one should be surprised by this. WWE has no patience or storytelling ability.

Tom Izzo and Coach K are clearly both complete shitbags, I mean, just look at them. Wish they could both lose, and somehow take that fucking scumbag wanker from the UConn women's team with them.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Actually that's probably true. Also the reason why we've had Cole as announcer for going on 78 years now.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Calipari is worse than both of them.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I woke up this morning still fuming about the HHH/Sting match. Well, woke up is relative because I haven't really slept thinking about it. Yesterday I was at a 23, but today I think it's up to 27. It's just ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:15 AM

He's at least honest about being an assbag.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:16 AM

I'm more pissed about the battle royal.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Rabid? I don't think so.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yea, not sure why they're going for it. They should be asking Destination America to do Clash of the Champions style specials every 2-3 months, rather than PPV's.

    ReplyDelete
  18. No one is getting sympathy babyface heat when they suck at their job. Cole isn't as bad as he was in 99 but he still sucks and of course the fans aren't going to miss the prospect of never having to hear CREATING SEPARATION BUILDING MOMENTUM VINTAGE *whoever* ever again.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Why would Hogan have a problem beating Piper in a cage match? I get why Piper would have a problem because he didn't job period, but why Hofan?

    ReplyDelete
  20. No, you're mad about HHH/Sting and the collective here is 100 percent focused on it. BE ANGRY.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The funny thing is theres so many ways to fix Reigns and make him the guy that Vince wants, but he doesn't care about it...it's all about doing it the way he wants, and if it doesnt work, then screw it, force it to work.

Which makes the ending of Wrestlemania so much more amazing how Vince managed to buckle on that.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Vince hates Austin. Art imitates life.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I assume Vince sees putting Rollins over at Mania simply a "pause" to try to salvage Reigns' megapush. He's not going to give up on him.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:20 AM

Aren't they doing that every day? Like Chev Chelios, TNA needs to find a quiet place and just die.

    ReplyDelete
  25. You know, I thought Austin did an amazing job trying to not tell Vince he's an ass hat for being so out of touch and senile, in those words at least

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well Vince better be careful. Austin can infiltrate almost anywhere. Hospitals, Pillman's house...Then it's all Kick Wham Stunner.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Sounds like both Austin and Vince have some serious anger and maturity problems.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm just happy the young guy won.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:21 AM

I was ecstatic about that finish. Fuck Sting.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Met him in person in a private setting. Cant say enough bad things about him.

    ReplyDelete
  31. More like Vince

    ReplyDelete
  32. That's brilliant. Book it. Kane as the special referee. DISSENTION AMONGST THE AUTHORITY

    ReplyDelete
  33. Austin doesn't seem to have very good conflict resolution skills. He'll just pack up or no show if he's not happy.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:24 AM

Well, pretty much any NCAA coach is expected to be a terrible human being, it's a requirement for the job.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Chev Chelios and TNA have a lot in common.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:24 AM

    Compared to what?

    ReplyDelete
  37. respectfully disagree: Chev is pretty watchable and has a more believable story.

    ReplyDelete
  38. idk you seem a bit angry over the past day or so.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Agreed. Neither JR or Styles could take being shouted put in a headset any longer.

JR and Styles like to call wrestling matches. They don't like to shill and play paddy cake with Lawler and JBL

    ReplyDelete
  40. He treats his family like shit too.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:25 AM

    And he doesn't suck.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Good, I don't want him to give up on the guy either, but he clearly needs to find a different way.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm thinking maybe Vince thinks his way is the right way just needs more time to "plant the seed" so to speak. They WILL come around...any day now....yep.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Theberzerker, #1 HUSS CHOMPIONApril 3, 2015 at 7:26 AM

To be fair, Cole gained a measure of acceptance from fans after the Lawler heart attack because he handled the situation so well. It WAS organic, what little there was.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Were there ever any numbers released for TNA's One Night Only shows? Those things couldn't have gotten 2,500 buys.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ding ding, we have a winner

    ReplyDelete
  47. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:27 AM

No man, I'm fine. Need to smoke a bowl, but I'll take care of that later.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I only remember one job piper ever did as a heel in the 80's in the WWF, and it was a cage match for Bruno Sammartino in the Boston Garden (and if you can find it on youtube its worth it just to see the heel heat Piper got). If you guys can think of more let me know but literally ONE JOB.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I don't remember him winning many big matches as a heel either. Most were ended by DQ

    ReplyDelete
  50. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:28 AM

    I'm shocked he has one.

    ReplyDelete
  51. The cards on those shows suck a big one. They are just taped for international and regular PPV obligations.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Call me crazy but I'm thinking of buying TNA's new Sting DVD. I figure that along with the WWE set is pretty much a best of of his entire career

    ReplyDelete
  53. i wonder if Austin ever actually told Vince he was coming to Mania in the first place

    ReplyDelete
  54. YEAH, THE YOUNG GUY WHO HAS BEEN 13-TIME WORLD CHAMPION AND BURIES EVERYONE. EFF HHH

    ReplyDelete
  55. You could tell he was holding back quite a bit. There were more than a few times where you felt he just wanted to burst out "What the flying FUCK is the matter with you, son?"

    ReplyDelete
  56. What were his best TNA matches? I'm not being a clown, I'm actually curious

    ReplyDelete
  57. Early on with Christian and Jarrett were pretty good, Angle of course, Samoa Joe. He did alright there.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Theberzerker, #1 HUSS CHOMPIONApril 3, 2015 at 7:32 AM

Having watched NXT, please stop doing 2/3 falls matches, Double Double E. If you consider them so much more like SUTHERN RASSLIN' that EVERY single one you do follows the same "2 pins in 2 minutes followed by the 3rd in 10" formula EVERY single time, then just don't fucking do them.

    ReplyDelete
  59. A couple of bucks? At the normal McMahon family bribe rate I'd ask for $125 minimum (I'm not sure how well I adjusted for inflation there, but...)

    ReplyDelete
  60. The voices in Vince's head don't lie.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Can I just say how enjoyable Smackdown has been in the last few months? You can tell just how easier it is to get through two hours, the show flows smoother, and we aren't forcefed every single talent on the roster.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Which is a big sign of that aforementioned maturity issue, not being able to communicate or express your concerns in a professional manner. Teenagers do this when they walk out of their jobs at Burger King, not full-grown men.

    ReplyDelete
  63. "well Dixie...we are out of money..." "ok turn the lights out." "wait....wait We've got a hit!..someone just bought the Sting DVD !!! we can stay in business for another 15 minutes" :a single tear of joy runs down Dixie's cheek::

    ReplyDelete
  64. Also, don't forget AJ Styles and I thought he had a decent one against Bubba Ray while doing the Main Event Mafia angle.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:33 AM

This is calm by my standards, you've seen me when I'm drunk and REALLY angry, I'm sure. But no, I'm great, all my money problems are officially over.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Whada we have for 'em, Johnny?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Joker's Wild is not that bad, the tag matches are fun, but the battle royal at the end is crap

    ReplyDelete
  68. Yeah I was wondering that because on his Podcast that Thursday he said he wasn't going to be there, that he would be watching it at home.

    ReplyDelete
  69. After 15 years I'm still pissed Cole called Foleys title win. It's infuriates me to this day.

    ReplyDelete
  70. https://youtu.be/7VBAHdeyn9s?t=3m44s

  71. Just imagine what he REALLY wanted to say to Vince

    ReplyDelete
  72. Theberzerker, #1 HUSS CHOMPIONApril 3, 2015 at 7:33 AM

It's definitely improved since SyFy demanded they actually pat attention to the damn thing and take it seriously again.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Replacing Austin's Podcasts on the Network with Jericho is going to be awful since Jericho has become a total WWE shill. His interview with Cena will probably cover how horrible Internet fans are, how Reigns is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and they'll wrap up 15 minutes early when Kevin Dunn tells them to.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Yep. You could tell Sting had a lot of fun in TNA because he got to be himself.

    ReplyDelete
  75. How did Piper get away with that? I started watching in 84 and while he was good just never really saw why he was a big deal (big enough to never job)

    ReplyDelete
  76. I'd be shocked if Wrestlemania 33 wasn't in Minneapolis. The Super Bowl is there the February after and WWE loves to say that there were A) there first and B) drew more fans.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:35 AM

Um, they coach big NCAA basketball teams? And just look at them.

    ReplyDelete
  78. It will be like every other Jericho podcast....something I don't tune in for.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Have there been any famous wrestling moments that happened in Minnesota? Only thing I recall is the first Nitro.

    ReplyDelete
  80. The American InsomniacApril 3, 2015 at 7:35 AM

Piper did a job to Snuka in a strap match with Lou Thesz as the red. I think it was on a Coliseum Video tape. But that was the only one, unless you count him losing by DQ to Mr T at WM2, and nobody does.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I need Cole in his wrestling gear challenging Brock to a fight thinking he won't show up only for Lesnar to appear and f'ing SLAUGHTER HIM~! Put it exclusively on the network and it will finally break even and than some.

    ReplyDelete
  82. "What's the story with you and Macho Man, anyway?"

    ReplyDelete
  83. They should do a Scott Steiner one : http://i39.tinypic.com/j9afiq.gif

    ReplyDelete
  84. I've never rewatched a TNA show but I recall most of his matches being perfectly acceptable wrestling, with the only truly awful stuff being his matches against Abyss and Jeff Hardy.

    ReplyDelete

  87. Theberzerker, #1 HUSS CHOMPIONApril 3, 2015 at 7:36 AM

I love how each podcast is advertised as HARD HITTING QUESTIONS and promising to tackle what's on EVERYONE'S MINDS...and then Vince gets upset about all the questions and wants to control the whole thing into a fluff piece.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I love the idea that Piper would have no problem laying down for Bruno.

    Piper: Bruno? I'd be honored!

    Vince: What about Hogan?

Piper: That fucking jobber? Not gonna happen.

Vince: C'mon pal, I'll owe you one.

Piper: Tell Hogan you'll owe him one.

Vince: One day, everyone will job all the time!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Why? General consensus is that Cole actually did a great job with that one.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I legit LOL'd at that one.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Theberzerker, #1 HUSS CHOMPIONApril 3, 2015 at 7:37 AM

Considering that I live in Philly and have no plans to move anytime soon, I am not a fan of this inclination.

    ReplyDelete
  92. That's the problem with the shows. 90% of them end in a battle royal.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Nice! Glad to hear.

    ReplyDelete
  94. He was the biggest heel in the business at one point, and a huge draw because of it. He basically had a strong enough personality to say "Fuck YOU" about jobbing. From a strictly mercenary POV, it makes sense- Piper was basically maintaining his standing in wrestling by refusing to job, so he could make big money anywhere as a guy who hadn't been destroyed like so many of Hogan's Opponents of the Week. Most guys looked MUCH worse after a Hogan feud- Piper didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Playing off his stupid smackdown promo...30 seconds from beating Brock because Brock couldn't counter reigns counters

  96. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:39 AM

One man's fuck up in another man's gain.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I listen to some of his non-wrestling ones since he occasionally interviews some musicians I like. But that's about it.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I went back to watch the triple threat title match at RR. With the crowd chanting "John Cena sucks" in line with his music, he'll never have to do a heel turn.

    ReplyDelete
  99. YankeesHoganTripleHFanApril 3, 2015 at 7:40 AM

Random thought I had this morning. If The Rock and Triple H face off at Mania next year do you think the entrances will be reflective of The Scorpion King vs The Skull King?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Wasn't Summerslam 99 there?

    ReplyDelete
  101. The bizarro world where Cuban is money marking battle skull wrestling is amazzzzing

    ReplyDelete
  102. Was the the one Jesse reffed? That popped into my mind, too.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Who cares? HHH will bury him anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Mitch, The GodfatherApril 3, 2015 at 7:41 AM

Well, Cena and JBL had their I Quit match in Minneapolis.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Well not much in terms of WWF/WCW history I don't believe but it can be argued that Minneapolis was possibly the 2nd or 3rd biggest pro wrestling city for decades because it was the AWA base of operations. Tons of history and fans there. Of course I doubt WWE would play that aspect up, obviously. Well maybe to say that Vince poached all their talent and buried them in 1983-84.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Maybe it went down like with my friend...we'll call him Mike. Mike's wedding. Mike told me that A. The wedding was going to be on a party boat, and B. I was going to have to wear some medievel garb and get fitted for a sword. So I said, "Mike. I will go to your wedding despite what I think of your fiancee (who was a pathological liar...a fact that he knew.) But if you're telling me that I need to wear medieval costumes and a sword, I will not show up to this thing."

And Mike said, "Ha, ha, Pal. This is going to be awesome. I'll see you there."

And he was furious that I didn't show up despite us going through that conversation multiple times. In any case Mike divorced the girl after she cheated on him a bunch and kind of went crazy after they had a baby. Anyone ever heard of Munchausen's by proxy? She was purposefully getting the kid sick and taking it to the hospital for attention. Now the kid lives with his dad and Mike is one of those guys at ren faires who does fire breathing shows? I think he's dating a 22 year old.

My point is that maybe Austin was like. "Vince. I'll come to Wrestlemania, but I don't want to wear the 3:16 T-shirt, I don't want to be on TV and for the last time, I don't want to do Tough Enough because I already do Redneck Island on an actual TV Network and they pay me a lot more."

And Vince was like, "Ha ha, Pal. This is going to be awesome. I'll see you there."

    ReplyDelete

Watching Gangland on Spike. Bikers need to just be eradicated. At least hood gangs are useful because they can sell you a dime sack. But I sure as shit don't need any meth.

    ReplyDelete
  108. He did fine, but having Ross there would have been far better. I believe I recall Foley writing in one of his books that it was unfortunate and bad timing that Ross got sick when he did, because he would have loved for him to commentate his win.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Happy Good Friday to all my fellow Believers, and to all the non-believers, happy Friday.

...and no I didn't say Belieber

    ReplyDelete
  110. Well the one Jeff Hardy match was where he came to the ring stoned out of his gored and Sting was visibly disgusted by it.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Ugh, no way. Horrible! It's the my greatest live wrestling moment ever and every time I rewatch it I wish Ross was calling it. Whenever he says "and it's Billy Gunn" I become murderous with anger.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Theberzerker, #1 HUSS CHOMPIONApril 3, 2015 at 7:47 AM

    I's just kiddin.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I know that AWA was based there, but I can name specific moments that happened in Memphis, or Dallas, or Atlanta. Nothing springs to mind about Minneapolis. And I'm by no means trying to say that is a reason it should or shouldn't get mania. I was just curious.

    ReplyDelete
  123. with reigns he goes 1 step forward 2 steps back, i was actually liking him during that WM match...not enough to want him to win, but enough to be ok with him as champ ONE day. It's a shame because I was rewatching WM30 and when he came out with that cool skull bandana, he was just awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Battlebowl was actually an awesome concept, but the battle royal at the end was unnecessary. Vince Russo killed the concept when he kept using the "partners who don't like each other are tag champs" angle.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Adam "Colorado" CurryApril 3, 2015 at 7:48 AM

    Technically he's African-American.

    ReplyDelete
  126. The Hall of Fame will be a great one too. HAVE to do Larry Hennig, Rick Rude, X-Pac, and probably some more AWA guys

    ReplyDelete
  127. Me too. I love those shows. Outlaw Empires is another great one.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Not to be a dick, but if you were watching in '84 and '85, how did you not see why Piper was a big deal? I can't think of anyone in wrestling history who got more heat than Piper did around that time.

  129. Oh crap. Then I need to be more careful.

    Like him again?

When did we like him before?

    ReplyDelete
  133. I just saw his sit down interview on smack down, and that was great. I mean it's no Rock or anything but he was at least on par if not better than ziggler and maybe even Bryan. Of course it was done with about a million takes, but he actually put emphasis on the right words.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I thought it was serviceable. I liked the playing possum bit. It was a solid heel maneuver. But it's also been a while since I've even seen a best of 3 match on NXT. And it was good enough way to end the feud. (Though I don't understand what they heck they're doing with Itami.)

    ReplyDelete
  135. YankeesHoganTripleHFanApril 3, 2015 at 7:52 AM

Or at least him him show up in a wheelchair, and Brock fill up his car with cement

    ReplyDelete
  136. Rick Rude got named dropped by both Madusa and Kevin Nash - he may go in next year.

    ReplyDelete
  137. *sob* It was supposed to be party time....*gulp* ALL the time.

*crawls into a foetal position and cries himself to sleep*

    ReplyDelete
  138. Hogan was on Jericho's podcast a few months ago and said something along the lines that if Piper would have jobbed, they could have done even bigger business. He then mentioned if Piper would have just taken one lose, Hogan would have been happy to drop the belt to him and made it an even bigger run....which I find very laughable.

He also said he wanted to turn heel at Wrestlemania 6 which was even funnier.

    ReplyDelete
  139. It's a Friday and I'm off...it's a damn good Friday

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  141. Looking back, I think that may be my favorite Sting moments. Jeff got wrecked by that Scorpion Drop.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Might as well do an extended versions of Cole's sitdown interviews.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Outside of the WWE UNIVERSE he actually sounds like a great guy. Also, when he commentates or does media where he does not have to follow the script, I think he would be much better than he is.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Hogan also beat him by DQ at Wrestling Classic. No one counts that either.

    ReplyDelete
  145. It has also been reported that the WWE wanted Austin for this season of "Tough Enough" but he turned it down for an unknown reason.

Maybe because he gave up a season's worth of his time just for the company to do jack-and-shit with the winner, whereas the most useless person that season continues to enjoy gainful employment.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Has Austin had a podcast since all this went down? I wonder if he's said anything about the situation.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Austin is the very first person he needs to get for WM 32, but he's likely going to be the last hold out. It'll be like assembling a team for a heist movie.

    ReplyDelete
  148. It took my 15 minutes to get to work today, which was great. I would much rather have off. I usually take Good Friday off every year but up until yesterday I thought Easter was next Sunday.

  150. They talk to him they understand.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I heard Suplex City put in a bid for WM33.

    ReplyDelete
  152. If I remembered, they edited the infamous Steiner/HHH match at Royal Rumble 2003 to mute the boos a bit on the DVD and if I recall on the WM XX DVD they also muted the Goldberg/Brock debacle. Haven't checked to see if they restored it on the network. This isn't really anything new. I don't mind it so much, the only real negative is that part of what makes those matches so memorable IS the crowd and hurts the re-watchability of it.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I dunno man. Austins the wife beater.

    ReplyDelete
  154. He did a Mania review with Keller.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I did buy a ticket to a house show when they came to town last year, so blame me for them surviving those last few months on Spike

    ReplyDelete
  156. For the record, the new Vikings stadium will not have a retractable roof. Half of it will be some clear plastic stuff where the drawings make it look like there's no roof, but it's some stupid "cool" feature to eliminate the need for a ton of lighting.

    ReplyDelete
  157. They need to keep that cage match against Foley off there. I felt worse for Mick in that match then I did watching his I quit match with the Rock.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I'm kind of over "open air" Manias, honestly.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Until it's covered entirely in bird shit

    ReplyDelete
  160. I missed it; what happened to Cole?

    ReplyDelete
  161. They should really drop the fake "random draw" and just do a tag team tournament.
A selling point would be to bring several team from the indies (Young Bucks, Monster Mafia, Bad Influence, ...) to fight against their own talents.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Ugh, Cole's call is awful.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Well there was nothing they could do about it.

    ReplyDelete
  164. >They spent an entire year building up an angle where he was a complete dickface to the fans and then just expected them to suddenly like him again because Lawler had a heart attack?

Yes, actually. Hard to take Cole as a heel when he spent two hours grieving over the possible loss of his friend. And despite seeing someone almost die in front of him, he handled the situation perfectly. Of course fans will see him in a different light then.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Then they should definitely have it in Atlanta. Not only does it have a roof that opens and closes, it looks like a giant asshole. Top that, Minneapolis!

    ReplyDelete
  166. Plus, it has the added benefit of allowing Vince to bury WCW the entire night as opposed to just during one match!

    ReplyDelete
  167. So Steve Austin has the nerve to be his own man and not be beholden to Vince for a paycheck? The nerve of that son of a bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Obviously but it still takes away from the moment hearing his bitch voice over one of the most iconic moments of the last 20 years.

    ReplyDelete
  169. I would have prefer to do a best of three serie with the one getting two win over the other get title shot or something.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Why won't Austin do Tough Enough?

    Broken Skull Challenge.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Wrestlers shall be paid in Brock's old bitches.

    ReplyDelete
  172. I still think this may be a bit of Meltzer'ing. If it stems from the podcast, Vince would have stopped HHH's. And not to take Austin's podcast as gospel but he never even hinted he'd be going leading up and flat out said he'll be watching from home.

    ReplyDelete
  173. I'm facebook friends with the kids and they seem to genuinely love them.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I think Larry is going to lead a AWA invasion just to bury them in Minn.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Crowd gets served Moose Steak after Brock singlehandedly puts them on the Endangered Species List.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Just like the old I-35 bridge.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Did anyone see Justin Roberts' post about Connor? Even Mick Foley would say: we get it, you're a nice guy

    ReplyDelete
  178. Just started Smackdown (Spoiler free) hoping for a great show to continue the momentum.

    ReplyDelete
  179. I didn't mind having Byron Saxton out there because he kept his mouth shut for majority of the segments he was out there (of course, when he did open his mouth, it made me cringe). I liked that different vibe, though, of just letting the wrestlers tell the story instead of the constant stream of inane chatter.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Sure, it can build momentum. But can it create separation?

    ReplyDelete
  181. I haven't listened to yesterday's show yet, but Austin stated last week that he was going to be at the Broken Skull Ranch watching WrestleMania. Whether or not he shared that with Vince, no one knows.

    ReplyDelete
  182. I never understood how jbl and booker t, wrestlers for 25 years and in shape, can be put in the hospital because of a flipped table. Almost as bad as Christian not getting back up even after 10 minutes after getting hit in the chest with a briefcase. Must have been the fall on the padded mat that did it.

Oh and i still hate cole for wm 15 and letting it slip who was going to win Austin/rock.

    ReplyDelete
  183. It was PWInsider Elite who broke the story

    ReplyDelete
  184. God bless you folks that hold down two jobs. I'm wiped out after one.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Thanks, I just went by what it said in the Observer.

    ReplyDelete
  186. Fuck Minnesota.

I want Wrestlemania in Philly. We deserve it!

    ReplyDelete
  187. Well hell. Saw the PWI today but misremembered it as a Meltzer break Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Really? Iconic? I forgot it happened the next day.

    ReplyDelete
  189. Because Piper could claim Hogan never pinned him?

    ReplyDelete
  190. Tough ebough is still a thing?

    ReplyDelete
  191. Invite someone on your show and then get pissy over what they say. Brilliant.

    ReplyDelete
  192. At this point, I'm just in it for the NatureBox promo code.

  194. I've trained my brain to operate on low to no sleep. I'm sure I'll crash and burn when I hit about 30. But in college I did about 20-25 hours as week in the classroom, 38-43 hours a week at job 1 and 10-15 hours a week at job 2, plus my standard 2-3 hours a night playing video games like a savage.

    ReplyDelete
  195. After we booed Roman Reigns and brought back singing "John Cena Sucks" to his theme music? I don't see a WM coming back any time soon.

    ReplyDelete
  196. WWE probably doesn't want fans throwing batteries at performers.
