Not taking anything away from his ability but Steamboat had the weakest looking offence ever. Even as a kid I always thought it looked horrible. Maybe that's why he didn't get a log run with it.
Probably for the people In it. And for the measly 30 comments that people post in it. For 99.99 percent of everyone else who visits the BOD it comes off as corny as hell and just something people scroll past.
She's old enough to be his mom. And not like a teen mom or young pregnancy or whatever. Like, a mom that got married, waited a few years to have kids, and then had him.
The more I watch it I think they must have bumped teeth or something I mean I think she is old and gross as the next guy for trying to still act and dress like she is 25 but ..i have to assume something happened and that she couldn't have been THAT gross that drake couldn't hold it together for 10 seconds for the lights to go out.
"You see that, pal? That's how you connect with a crowd. You should be more like them and not so... so... foreign. Now hand over your tag title, you Swiss Millennial and watch those Lucha guys."
I had read long ago that they prefer Rosemont for logistics purposes. It's apparently closer to the airport and highways so getting the trucks there is easier.
As many have said below, it's because Dolan charges ridiculous rent to run the arena. Maybe if he wasn't such a colossal fuck-up with the Knicks he'd have some more revenue. Outside of the Rangers being awesome, the Garden only gets away with it because it's the Garden.
It's amazing because WWE still pretty much sells out the Garden for a house show and yet that still apparently isn't enough to make a profit on it. You'd think that because the Garden has had a 50+ year relationship with WWE that Dolan would want to keep that relationship going, but he's a fucking idiot on so many levels.
I think a series of matches with the Dragons vs. Cesaro & Kidd would be gold. Though those two are basically just workhorse teams. They still need a team or two that can give effective promos (Maybe someone who wasn't Sawft? Even though I'm sure I'm in the minority on that one.)
The United Center is only 21 years old. I've never been there, so I'm wondering what it doesn't have that couldn't be fixed with a renovation instead of a total rebuild?
I remember when Madonna kissed both Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera and all anyone wanted to talk about was Britney, like Christina just stopped existing for whatever reason.
Most of the reasons for new arenas center on luxury boxes and suites, amenities, etc. I haven't been to United Center in a long time, so perhaps they were forward thinking and put plenty of those in place from the beginning.
"The cost of running the event would fall significantly, though, primarily because it costs roughly $400,000 to rent the Garden, which seats about 16,500."
...wait wait wait....so they put up every raw from the end of 97 through the start of 99...but not in the Raw section but in the Raw attitude section? to the extend that 98 is now now an option on the Raw section....who makes this kind of decision?
You think with the local competitors (Prudential Center in Newark, Barclays in Brooklyn, and until it closed Izod Center) that MSG would make sure that they offer reasonable deals.
While the Knicks are a mess (as a lifelong Knicks fan, I know) Dolan and co rake in a TON of $$. Revenues aren't the problem for him - running a basketball team certainly is. Plus why would he care about a long term relationship when he can rent MSG out to any other number of counterparts?
I can't imagine Reed holding the title for as long as Honkytonk did. I presume he would have dropped the title back to Savage upon his face turn or the Warrior would have gotten the title sooner. Or maybe we would have gotten something wacky like a Billy Jack Haynes IC title reign.
Question: Is there more of a colossal fuck-up in sports ownership than James Dolan owning the Knicks?
I know there are owners of rinky-dink teams that might suck more, but those teams don't have the pedigree/advantages of having a team in New York. Here is a team that has a strong history and plays in the Mecca of basketball, and is in a city most players WANT to play in. He even has Phil Jackson -- a guy who knows a thing or two about winning basketball games -- and can't win with him. They're not even average, they are dead last in their conference. And despite that, the Knicks still make a ton of dough with outrageous ticket prices, so it's not like money is an issue.
The most hilarious thing is that he owns the Rangers and is pretty hands-off with them, and they've been on a hot streak over the last four or so years.
When I saw all those ex-WCW guys, Nash in particular, I thought promotion wouldn't last but here we are 9 years later after all the mistakes and terrible ideas TNA is still out there somehow, with a solid roster of talent. It's an amazing thing in its own way.
I think they're a bit one-note, to be honest. I mean, they're decent in the ring - and I'm glad they're not being split up and Kalisto getting the rumoured hairdresser gimmick - but I see them more as good guys to put others over rather than champs themselves.
I always thought Steamboat would have been way cooler with a better finisher. The Flying Bodypress worked in the 80's, but during the second leg of his career, when move finishers became more common, it felt incredibly dated.
I've read that not only is it super expensive to run a show at MSG, they also charge huge amounts on top of that if you want to record or broadcast a show from there. Hence the rare shows they do run there are always just house shows rather than Raw or PPVs.
"Plus why would he care about a long term relationship when he can rent MSG out to any other number of counterparts?"
Because it's good to know you have a client who will still be a client 10, 20, 30 years from now and will continue to generate business for your company long-term. I have clients that I give preferred pricing because I work with them all the time and want to ensure we will continue working together for years.
I don't know, as a businessman I'd probably want to have WWE running 4-6 or so sellout shows a year at my arena rather than the one across the East River. WWE is now down to 2-3 MSG shows a year -- I wouldn't be surprised if it goes back to zero like the 18 month break from 2005-2006 when they were having that dispute.
You know what would be awesome? If the Lucha Dragons get into a heated angle with Kidd and Cesaro where the teams build a rivalry through some stellar matches on TV with the heels barely holding on to the titles. Then, after a few weeks of frustration and the fans supporting them, the Dragons challenge for the titles at a big PPV and finally win the titles to a big pop!
They're in the middle of money. It's easier for moneyed Manhattanites to get to the Garden, so they can charge a much higher fee than somewhere in Brooklyn or the sticks.
I'm sorry, but this is a ridiculously stupid notion. You've used four lines and haven't mentioned Big Show standing tall over both teams once. Yyyyyyyyyyyyyouuurrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeee ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffired!!!!
You say that and then Pitt pulls out a win in a 3 overtime game to even the series going back to Pitt and all of the sudden you're looking at game 7 and wondering how you got there. Hockey is the most glorious bitch God ever created.
BTW not hating on the Rangers. Just seen so much how the fuck did we get here bullshit from Bruins over the last 6 years, it's a wonder why I love hockey so much.
It really isn't though. Just looking at the calendar, MSG has nothing scheduled from May 28 to June 20 and another big break from August 20 to September 12. They're not renovating anymore so I'm surprised there are such big gaps during the summer.
I get that but Dolan is in a total position of advantage here as he can rent it out to more profitable counterparties. I don't know specific obviously, but it's probably not worth the compromise for either. Unless both sides are stupid (they're not) then they'd come to an agreement if it's beneficial to both. I do think the days of having to route through NYC/MSG are dying. the NY metro population isn't growing as people leave the area due to the ridiculous housing/rent prices. 30 years from now who knows what it will look like
"Unless both sides are stupid (they're not) then they'd come to an agreement if it's beneficial to both." I don't know, we are talking about Dolan here...
All kidding aside, I get that Dolan can get more from other counterparties, but I do see value of having a preferred client that you work with regularly. We don't know the financial particulars, of course.
And the population isn't the only thing that will be changing in New York. The lease on MSG will be up in a few years and there are some politicians who are gung-ho about making the arena move.
Per the observer: "Madison Square Garden's capacity for house shows (remember, WWE doesn't run TV or PPV there anymore due to the fees MSG charges for broadcast rights) is listed at 12,709, which sounds impossibly small, as even with renovations and the addition of the house show entrance set, it's under the capacity of Barclay's Center for both TV tapings and PPVs with a much bigger stage."
I forgot all about moving the garden again, heard that last year sometime. They should build the next one on wheels and just shuffle it around as they see fit. As a native NYer that's moved out I don't miss it at all. Certainly not worth the price in my opinion. There will come a day where they can't just name their price and people will jump simply b/c it's NYC.
The kids in the audiences really seen to be digging them. At the NXT shows the kids loved then, the grown ups were usually bored when they were out there aside from Kalistos high spots.
The capacity for basketball is listed as 18,200. I don't see how they put a set up in there that would take up 1/3 of the seats. Maybe the 12,700 number takes into account blocking off upper deck sections they won't sell?
Man, I can barely IMAGINE them as a team. Quite the wrong pairing. Like Tito with Warrior and Hogan at Survivor Series 1990 - dude stuck out in that company!
I really wish TNA would get rid of the One Night Only Shows. I know they are to fulfill international and cable obligations, but seriously how many people order them? 5? They use the same handful of formats each year, too and every show ends in a battle royal.
Montreal, stiffing wrestlers on PPV money to cover Network losses, hiring veterinarians as medical staff...
LIKING THE SHITASS, BORING LUCHA DRAGONS?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I say this and I believe it is not hyperbole: liking and pushing the suckass, everyone-hates-them-because-they-suck Lucha Dragons is the same and putting razors in kids' Halloween candy.
"He even has Phil Jackson -- a guy who knows a thing or two about winning basketball games -- and can't win with him."
He knew how to win them in the 90's and 00's as a coach, when he had two all-time great players as fulcrums for an offense that's now mostly outdated. I don't think 70-year old Phil has anywhere near the capacity to run a modern NBA organization.
Has there ever been a wrestler as beloved as Ricky Steamboat who was as terrible on the mic? He is an absolutely atrocious interview. Seeing him at WM 31, he hasn't improved a bit in over 30 years.
Tom Landry was 65 years old and couldn't even remember his players' names by the end of his tenure. (Read Jeff Pearlman's excellent book, "Boys will be Boys.")
He was one of the game's great innovative minds in the 60's and 70's, but the game had obviously passed him by.
I think they are using the shows almost like tryouts for new talent. They've signed quite a few people after using them at the tapings.
I don't like how they have nothing to do with current or any storylines. They should explore the iPPV market and air a monthly live PPV for $14.99. I'm sure that would get more buys than the ONO's, but they are probably a bit more costly.
Steamboat's mentioned that he was meant to hold the title until Wrestlemania IV. Even without the supposed bad feelings over asking for time off who knows if that actually happens.
Just wanted to point out that in the last month the Spurs have gone from the 6th seed to the 2nd seed by winning 4852856558 straight games and beating the shit out of the competition.
Kawhi Leonard has more or less become a Pippen clone, and I don't throw that out there lightly because Scottie is my favorite player ever. The only thing he's missing is the playmaking. He's one of the 10 best players in the game now.
I'd still be pretty confident if I was a Warriors fan. They're in historic territory with their point differential, which is a strong playoff predictor; I think all but one team to have a double digit point differential has won the title. That said, I'm done trying to figure out when the Spurs' window is even closing a little bit.
Well, in Phil's defense he has only been there a year, and he was saddled with a crappy roster. You can't fix it overnight - the roster needs to be overhauled. Whether or not he can do so successfully is still in the air.
Just a heads up, the new Terminator Genisys trailer was revealed, and to everyone who says today's trailers give away too much...you don't even know. I don't think I've ever seen a movie trailer give away something that big.
My favorite player of all time is Steve Nash, and I loved those mid-00s Suns teams, so my hatred for the Spurs was palpable. But a few things have happened since: the Suns carved up their team and shipped people out for peanuts on the dollar, my favorite player up and broke my heart by signing with my second most hated... and the Spurs kept winning, kept a degree of continuity year after year. My respect for San Antonio grew year after year, and when they came up just short in Miami and went out with absolute class, and then came back and beat the shit out of them the next year?
I wouldn't say I became a fan, but I definitely root FOR them now instead of against them.
Pop made a rare playmaking mistake by overly relying on Ginobili in the series they lost...they adjusted and changed strategies in 2014 and dominated the Heat as a result. It was really amazing.
wow...yea...that was a lot but I guess in fairness they are trying to revive a property that bombed last time out and...it seems to be a huge part of the movie so probably would have been a really hard thing to sale without revealing it.
Also of all the money spent on this movie...not like...20 more bucks on John Connor's scar?
Advice for the blog, if you ever get married just fucking elope. There is too much stress and other factors in planning a wedding. Like crazy fucks in your family another assholes. Apparently my fiancee's friend who offered to bake our wedding cake AS A GIFT IS NOW ASKING US TO PAY HER. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SMOKING LADY?
Awful. I was at the game on Saturday and the new stuff they did to the stadium looks really great except the seats out in the upper deck in right field have been replaced with what looks like storage containers. Ugly.
Not taking anything away from his ability but Steamboat had the weakest looking offence ever. Even as a kid I always thought it looked horrible. Maybe that's why he didn't get a log run with it.

ReplyDeleteMSG > Barclays by a wide margin! PS Lets go Rangers!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, there's just something really hokey about them, and it makes me zone out or change the channel when they're on.
ReplyDeleteShe's old enough to be his mom. And not like a teen mom or young pregnancy or whatever. Like, a mom that got married, waited a few years to have kids, and then had him.
ReplyDeleteBut really, we're better as a people getting to hear JD and the Straight Shot play MSG rather than a WWE show.
ReplyDeleteEast Rutherford/Newark? Lowell or Worcester?
ReplyDeleteDolan is doing great for the Rangers because he doesnt interfere and lets Sather make all the decisions. Great time to be a Blue Shirt fan!
ReplyDeleteThe more I watch it I think they must have bumped teeth or something I mean I think she is old and gross as the next guy for trying to still act and dress like she is 25 but ..i have to assume something happened and that she couldn't have been THAT gross that drake couldn't hold it together for 10 seconds for the lights to go out.
ReplyDeleteOr the best if you don't have Cablevision and root for the Celtics!
ReplyDeleteUnited Center is getting long in the tooth, by modern arena standards. Are there any plans to build a new arena in Chicago?
ReplyDelete"NO" - Chicago.
ReplyDeleteWWE's home city is Wall Street, much as they'd love it to be Hollywood.
None I've heard about. There's a boatload of money going into Wrigley renovations right now.
ReplyDeleteIts insane how much it costs to rent Madison Square Garden. Unless you are an A+ list musical act or tour, don't even bother.
ReplyDeleteOnce Vince finds out they're supposed to be Mexican, they'll be riding lawn mowers to the ring in no time.
ReplyDeleteYup, basically boils down to James Dolan is a shithead. The Barclay's Center is fine, anyway.
ReplyDeleteIzod in East Rutherford just closed, hence why SummerSlam had to be moved to Brooklyn
ReplyDelete"You see that, pal? That's how you connect with a crowd. You should be more like them and not so... so... foreign. Now hand over your tag title, you Swiss Millennial and watch those Lucha guys."
ReplyDeleteI had read long ago that they prefer Rosemont for logistics purposes. It's apparently closer to the airport and highways so getting the trucks there is easier.
ReplyDeleteSad to see what they've become after the promise of 2005-2006.
ReplyDeleteVince doesn't know Kidd and Cesaro are the tag team champions. He just thinks that's how foreign people dress.
ReplyDeleteAs many have said below, it's because Dolan charges ridiculous rent to run the arena. Maybe if he wasn't such a colossal fuck-up with the Knicks he'd have some more revenue. Outside of the Rangers being awesome, the Garden only gets away with it because it's the Garden.

ReplyDeleteI loved his armdrags.
ReplyDeleteTNA wrestlers not getting paid?
ReplyDeleteMeet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Oh wait... it's the same terrible boss.
Do you have a quick link to this info? If not, it's cool, I'll search for it.
ReplyDeleteThe United Center is only 21 years old. I've never been there, so I'm wondering what it doesn't have that couldn't be fixed with a renovation instead of a total rebuild?
ReplyDeleteMaybe she had bad breath.
ReplyDeleteHockey is a fickle sport. Winning the Presidents Trophy don't mean shit. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rangers lose in the first round.
ReplyDeleteI remember when Madonna kissed both Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera and all anyone wanted to talk about was Britney, like Christina just stopped existing for whatever reason.
ReplyDeleteI forgot about how awesome the Mean Street Posse's music was. Wasn't it one of them was a legit wrestler and the other two were Shane's friends?
ReplyDelete...I think until she got on the swinging chair show..that is a decent representation of her career isn't it?
ReplyDeleteJoey Abs was the legit wrestler
ReplyDeleteCan't lie, every time I see a sweater vest their music starts playing in my head.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the kids love them.
ReplyDeleteThey will if they have no place else to go.
ReplyDeleteMost of the reasons for new arenas center on luxury boxes and suites, amenities, etc. I haven't been to United Center in a long time, so perhaps they were forward thinking and put plenty of those in place from the beginning.
ReplyDeleteIs the "Everything is fine" joke played out yet? Didn't want to be lame.
ReplyDelete3-0-1 against shittsburg in the regular season plus winning 3 straight against them in the playoffs last year, i think we will be ok....

ReplyDeleteToo bad, MSG PPVs are some of the best.
No need to even blow a spot. Give it a few weeks and Vince will forget he has a tag team division.
ReplyDeleteSo Raws from 93-98 are up in full now?
ReplyDeleteEverything IS fine...they aren't losing money if they aren't paying their guys!
ReplyDeleteno they skipped 97 and the end of 96 to put up all the 98s
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure there titantron is the only on screen appearance kevin Dunn ever had in wwe
ReplyDeleteI just had to watch the WM 2000 Hardcore Battle Royal to see Pete Gas' glorious blade job.

Wow. I like the Lucha Dragons, but I'd hardly say they were really over with the main WWE audience.

It only took Sather like 25 years to put together a decent team. Hang around long enough and lightning strikes.

ReplyDeleteHe was my favorite one.

They're over with the audience of one.

And that's all that matters.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure Tito Santana would've formed the Mega-Powers with Hogan instead lol.
ReplyDeleteRight now, sure. Hunico is versatile enough that he can do pretty much any gimmick. I don't know about Kalisto.
ReplyDeleteJustin Timberlake's face. Better times were ahead for him.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they'll be getting Kaned in the ring shortly anyway.

ReplyDeleteHOLY SHIT
ReplyDeleteSo three months from now one of the luchas will ask why they aren't on TV anymore, and Vince's reply will be THAT'S AN EXCELLENT QUESTION REY.

ReplyDeleteAt least the Cowboys have won 3 Super Bowls under Jones. Of course, he did fire Tom Landry, so fuck that guy.
ReplyDeleteThe kids in the audiences really seen to be digging them. At the NXT shows the kids loved then, the grown ups were usually bored when they were out there aside from Kalistos high spots.
ReplyDeletePretty ironic considering Summerslam 1994 was the first ever event at the United Center.
ReplyDelete" There will come a day where they can't just name their price and people will jump simply b/c it's NYC."
ReplyDeleteThose days did come. It was called the 1970s.
Vince: And you all told me I was crazy to cut Rey Mysterio in two and replant him!
ReplyDeleteHHH: Oh God, not this again.
Vince: Goddamn it, if someone hadn't stooged on me to Austin, we'd have six of him!
HHH: We'll...we'll get him next time.
Vince: What's Jericho doing?
HHH: Jesus..I don't think..you know what? Nothing. He's doing nothing. I'll call him.
Vince: Ten little Jericho's with their light up jackets! It'll be Goddamn adorable, pal!
Hunico/Sin Cara must confuse the fuck out of Vince.
ReplyDeletethe renovations weren't complete, I think just the 200 level had them done at that point.
ReplyDeletemost arenas only run 250 nights a year though
ReplyDeleteI for one am all for a 6 pack of Stone Cold
ReplyDeleteHmm, good point. The 12/26/14 house show -- so that means no stage -- had a listed attendance of 14,000. It wasn't a sellout though.
ReplyDeleteAdd Kane there too. Double chokeslam, Big Show has his arms crossed and Kane throws his arms down for the fire.
ReplyDeleteInfant-like chant? One of their top guys just yells "YES" over and over.
ReplyDeleteThe capacity for basketball is listed as 18,200. I don't see how they put a set up in there that would take up 1/3 of the seats. Maybe the 12,700 number takes into account blocking off upper deck sections they won't sell?
ReplyDeleteMan, I can barely IMAGINE them as a team. Quite the wrong pairing. Like Tito with Warrior and Hogan at Survivor Series 1990 - dude stuck out in that company!
ReplyDeleteThat has to be it. There's no way MSG only holds 12,700 for wrestling if it holds 18,000 for basketball.
ReplyDeleteYeah, ok, I'll give you those. But not much devestating besides, like... Variations of the roll-up?
ReplyDeleteI really wish TNA would get rid of the One Night Only Shows. I know they are to fulfill international and cable obligations, but seriously how many people order them? 5? They use the same handful of formats each year, too and every show ends in a battle royal.
ReplyDeleteMontreal, stiffing wrestlers on PPV money to cover Network losses, hiring veterinarians as medical staff...
ReplyDeleteLIKING THE SHITASS, BORING LUCHA DRAGONS?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHe knew how to win them in the 90's and 00's as a coach, when he had two all-time great players as fulcrums for an offense that's now mostly outdated.
ReplyDeleteWell, aren't you just a fun person.
ReplyDelete:you're not wrong though:
Or the Lucha Dragons could lose a Loser Leaves Town match to J&J Security tonight.
ReplyDeleteAl Davis was a winner at one time though.
ReplyDeleteTom Landry was 65 years old and couldn't even remember his players' names by the end of his tenure. (Read Jeff Pearlman's excellent book, "Boys will be Boys.")
ReplyDeleteHe was one of the game's great innovative minds in the 60's and 70's, but the game had obviously passed him by.
do they open up stuff like the Chase Bridge for wrestling? the floor configuration with seats behind the baskets is somewhat different too.
ReplyDeleteYOU CAN'T BODYSLAM RICKY STEAMBOAT!!!
ReplyDeleteJim Buss is making a play for the top spot with the Lakers.
ReplyDeleteMost arenas are vacant for the spring in case of the playoffs
ReplyDeleteYeah, those shows are boring as fuck too. And they are aired like several months after they are taped.
ReplyDeletePeople use the Knicks as leverage to get better deals from other teams, like the Leafs in hockey. Who would want to play for the Knicks?
ReplyDeleteHahaha. One of Rush's best songs is being defeated by Repo Man.
ReplyDeleteI think they are using the shows almost like tryouts for new talent. They've signed quite a few people after using them at the tapings.
ReplyDeleteI don't like how they have nothing to do with current or any storylines. They should explore the iPPV market and air a monthly live PPV for $14.99. I'm sure that would get more buys than the ONO's, but they are probably a bit more costly.
They should probably worry more about using shows to make money.
ReplyDeleteJust a matter of time before that team gets ruined.
ReplyDeleteSteamboat's mentioned that he was meant to hold the title until Wrestlemania IV. Even without the supposed bad feelings over asking for time off who knows if that actually happens.
ReplyDeleteSomeone has to be cannon fodder
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to point out that in the last month the Spurs have gone from the 6th seed to the 2nd seed by winning 4852856558 straight games and beating the shit out of the competition.
ReplyDeleteGo Spurs go!
They.know how to.turn it up when necessary. And I'm sure the tounge lashing Pop gave them awhile back lit a fire under their ass too
ReplyDelete"I THOUGHT WE GOT RID OF HIM???"
ReplyDeletePop is a genius.
ReplyDeleteWhat was Butch Reed's cred at that point? I was like 4 at the time and don't remember him being a major player at any point.
ReplyDeleteWonder if Jobber is worried.
ReplyDeleteKawhi Leonard has more or less become a Pippen clone, and I don't throw that out there lightly because Scottie is my favorite player ever. The only thing he's missing is the playmaking. He's one of the 10 best players in the game now.
ReplyDeleteGood lord, chill the fuck out, dude
ReplyDeleteEveryone sleeps on the Spurs...until it's too late. Would love to see them take on the Cavs in the finals.
ReplyDelete"There's no place like home"
ReplyDelete-Tommy Dreamer
I'll be a third of the roster!
ReplyDeleteYes. Unfortunately so. I wished him better. But it's totally understandable.
ReplyDeleteIf that happens and takes the championship, they'd be 3-1 against LeBron in the Finals. And I will laugh
ReplyDeleteI'd still be pretty confident if I was a Warriors fan. They're in historic territory with their point differential, which is a strong playoff predictor; I think all but one team to have a double digit point differential has won the title. That said, I'm done trying to figure out when the Spurs' window is even closing a little bit.
ReplyDelete....what
ReplyDeleteLooks like tripping over all those lines finally caught up with Lillian.
ReplyDeleteCan you dance, pal!
ReplyDeleteI think you have a problem.
ReplyDeleteThey'd look the same as every other show, though, since the renovations make it impossible to use the old setup where the entrance was hard camera.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I'd rather have late 80s/Early 90s Superstars than the Attitude Era Raws.
ReplyDeleteHave you *seen* me?!
ReplyDeleteHere's the internet you just won
ReplyDeleteWell, in Phil's defense he has only been there a year, and he was saddled with a crappy roster. You can't fix it overnight - the roster needs to be overhauled. Whether or not he can do so successfully is still in the air.
ReplyDeleteJust a heads up, the new Terminator Genisys trailer was revealed, and to everyone who says today's trailers give away too much...you don't even know. I don't think I've ever seen a movie trailer give away something that big.
ReplyDeleteNick Stahl is still alive? Is that the surprise?
ReplyDeleteThey said the same thing about cm punk!

ReplyDelete"I don't think I've ever seen a movie trailer give away something that big."
ReplyDelete"Shelton's Wiener: The Movie" did
I completely forgot they beat Lebron before he went to the Heat!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite player of all time is Steve Nash, and I loved those mid-00s Suns teams, so my hatred for the Spurs was palpable.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say I became a fan, but I definitely root FOR them now instead of against them.
Goodnight everybody!
ReplyDeleteShelton's Wiener
ReplyDeleteThe Michael Tarver Story
Should have been 3-0 against him. He'd have been 0-4 against Texas teams.
ReplyDeletehttp://threemanbooth.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/b901d-cabanawinner02_3mb.png
ReplyDeleteReed was jobbing to Tito all spring. I can't imagine how long of a run he'd have gotten.
ReplyDeleteSarah Connor is actually a robot?
ReplyDeleteor did they just say screw continuity she has her Dragons....because dragons make everything better?
LUCHA Dragons!
ReplyDeleteproved my point
ReplyDeleteThough J&J wouldn't be a bad fight for them tonight. Squashing J&J and flipping all over the place would be a perfect thing for them to do.
ReplyDeleteThey should've been 4-0. Everyone and their mother were calling bullshit during game 5 in the '13 finals
ReplyDeletePop made a rare playmaking mistake by overly relying on Ginobili in the series they lost...they adjusted and changed strategies in 2014 and dominated the Heat as a result. It was really amazing.
ReplyDeleteLots of day baseball today.
ReplyDelete"putting razors in kids' Halloween candy."
ReplyDeleteI dunno, I think it'd be 2 SWEEEEEEET to dig through my candy and find a figure of DA BAD GUY that I could pose and display on my shelf*
*"pose and display on my shelf" = play with
That's the one where they hit the ball and run to the base right?
ReplyDeleteHe runs... BECAUSE HE MUST!
To clarify, I don't actually think pushing a tag team is akin to hurting kids. I said that poorly, as hyperbole. My fault.
ReplyDeleteI get it now! I mean, you have to see it to understand it!
ReplyDeleteAny chance Batman will actually appear in the Gotham series or is his license tied up in the movies?
ReplyDeletewow...yea...that was a lot but I guess in fairness they are trying to revive a property that bombed last time out and...it seems to be a huge part of the movie so probably would have been a really hard thing to sale without revealing it.
ReplyDeleteAlso of all the money spent on this movie...not like...20 more bucks on John Connor's scar?
Oh yeah, they were on a warpath once they reached the finals
ReplyDeleteHell of a weekend for the Indians! Embarrassed three straight games and then lose Gomes for up to two months.
ReplyDeleteLet's have some hot Dr. Pepper in celebration
ReplyDeleteMSG should really give WWE a discount.
ReplyDeleteAdvice for the blog, if you ever get married just fucking elope.
ReplyDeleteAnd a shit load of baseball cards.
ReplyDeleteI thought he was hurt? Again?
ReplyDeleteExcellent observation, Torii.
ReplyDeleteAnd Alicia Silverstone
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad, really. They got off light.
ReplyDeleteFor what reason?
ReplyDeleteThat's my preference if it ever happened.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget, we also need, Christopher Walken, yeah?
ReplyDeleteMe and my wife got married in the court room and had a small get together the next day. Did not stress once
ReplyDeleteThe Indians can never suffer enough. Fuck them now, fuck them always.
ReplyDeleteWe all know the Lucha Dragons are being pumped up for the Big Show and Great Khali team.
ReplyDeleteAwful. I was at the game on Saturday and the new stuff they did to the stadium looks really great except the seats out in the upper deck in right field have been replaced with what looks like storage containers. Ugly.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention the shitload of money you'll save.
ReplyDeleteAnd DAT CISSY SPACEK
ReplyDelete...wut
Racist.
ReplyDeleteSix tiny stunners in succession would pop a 10.0 rating easily.
ReplyDelete
