  1. Alright guys, what are your Extreme Rules predictions?

    ReplyDelete
  2. Do we need 2 daily thread in the space of 20 minutes?

    ReplyDelete
  3. They have a PPV tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Not really meant as a daily thread but more of a thread about Extreme Rules and people's thoughts and such. Plus, these pieces were both excellent, IMO and thought they would be a good topic for discussion.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Or you can watch on the WWE Network for $9.99

    ReplyDelete
  6. Wouldn't be shocked if Big Show wins tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Man, that would be sad if it happens. I honestly expect Reigns to win and he should win easily I hope. They gotta try and build the guy up better.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Rollins over Orton. Cena over Rusev. Neville over Barrett for the vacant IC title, Nikki over Naomi, Reigns over Big Show, Ambrose over Harper, Sheamus over Ziggler, and Cesaro/Kidd over New Day.

    What's yours?

    ReplyDelete
  9. I think Naomi gets the belt because if they are going to somehow make the Bellas faces, it only makes sense for them to chase the title. And the IC situation is a total toss up. Barrett winning makes zero sense as he lost constantly as the IC champ and it would just devalue the belt. Maybe Bray Wyatt, who has nothing going on, ends up as the IC champ. Any reports abut Bryan wrestling tonight? The handling of his injury is the strangest thing I have seen in a while from the WWE.

Ohterwise, I agree with everything you said.

    ReplyDelete
  10. On paper, it seems like a decent show at least.

    ReplyDelete
  11. If by "paper", you mean "toilet paper".. then "Yes"

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'll go with not watching for free

    ReplyDelete
  13. Tyson and Cesaro vs New Day (New day seems to be getting a push as heels, so I think they will win)
Dean vs Harper (Could be a good match with a shitty build) ambrose wins clean
Dolph Ziggler vs Sheamus kiss my ass match (What a bullshit match, they will be building Sheamus on his return so he wins)
Nikki vs Naomi - this match will suck and Nikki will win
Bryan vs Barret - Barrett wins since Bryan's injured
Rusev vs Cena - Super Cena wins completing the burial of Rusev
Seth Rollins vs Orton - Rollins sneaks a win after a million run ins from the Authority

Should be a mediocre show, but I felt the same way about WM31 going in, so who the fuck knows anymore?

    ReplyDelete
  14. If anyone needs a new "holy shit" move, it's Reigns. He needs to impress the crowd with something to win them back. Knowing the WWE, they will probably just use the same formula from the Lesnar match and have him get beat up most of the match only this time he will overcome the odds and win.

    ReplyDelete
  15. If ever there's a time to bring back the Bad News segment, it'd be tonight. Give Barrett the belt and the mic, make an open challenge.. and voila..

In a perfect world, an NXT guy would take that challenge, but...

    ReplyDelete
  16. His triple power bomb with the Shield was his "holy shit" move. Now Rollins has it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Agree. Reigns should best Show once and for all with a crazy spot. That will get the crowd going for him

    ReplyDelete
  18. I dunno but I'm going to be home alone around 8 so I'm gonna watch the replay.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm sticking to my prediction from the second the cage match was announced. Bray Wyatt comes back with Hologram Pt. 2: Hologram Harder or something similarly stupid and appears in the cage, costing Orton the match and setting up the next feud. Everyone groans.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Cena vs Orton,one more timeApril 26, 2015 at 11:25 AM

    This show looks EXXXXTREME.....ly boring.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Do we need you complaining about the daily threads all the time?

    ReplyDelete
  22. List of talented wrestlers WWE has buried through terrible booking in the past few years: Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, Dean Ambrose, New Day, Daniel Bryan (to be fair, they redeemed themselves at times), Tyson Kidd, Fandango (good wrestler with stupid gimmick and storylines), Cody Rhodes, Natayla, Damien Sandow... have I missed anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  23. You forgot poor Bad Newd Barrett, who was finally onto something with that gimmick before the writers forgot it existed and just skipped straight to making him the most inept secondary champion of all-time.

    ReplyDelete
  24. HOT SPORTS TAKE: Finn Barlor debuts and wins the IC Tite, proceeds to job for three months.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm actually excited for Rollins vs Orton, Cena vs Rusev and Ambrose vs Harper. I was excited for Daniel Bryan but clearly he's jobbing now. :(

    ReplyDelete
  26. I felt they did a good job with him as leader of NXT and as Bad News Barrett until his injury, so I didn't include him. But your right there are times (including now) they have misused him.

    ReplyDelete
  27. We are in this weird world now where everything about this company sucks except the actual work in the ring. I expect to be entertained by the action and pissed at everything else.

    ReplyDelete
  28. dammit, you're actually right. One of the few cases where they ruined someone through an overpush (see the Miz)

    ReplyDelete
  29. But I can easily see their logic being "If he loses we humble him and it won't look like he hasn't earned his spot so the fans will embrace him. "

    ReplyDelete
  30. Miz is actually a great comparison. US Champ Miz was awesome but they just stopped caring about him once he won the strap.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Balor debuts to replace Bryan.

    ReplyDelete
  32. he also had the worst feud as champ in history against lawler. How is anyone supposed to get over if a 60 year old man only lost against you because of another announcers help

    ReplyDelete
  33. just terrible. Morrison was right there ...

    ReplyDelete
  34. Alright guys, what do you think will take place tonight for the IC Title match? Will Bryan show up? Will he show up and relinquish the title? And if so, what will take place for a match?

    ReplyDelete
  35. bryan will come out and say that he lost his smile.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm having more fun running through episodes of ECW hardcore TV than I probably will watching the ppv.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'd mark for that.

    ReplyDelete
  38. If Bryan's only out for a few weeks, I think they run an angle backstage where Sheamus destroys him, writing him out of the match. Barrett calls someone out in the ring and winds up with Neville, as a way to follow up on Smackdown and also showcase the new guy in front of a PPV audience.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hope he does. Job Roman out a while, a'la Ziggler, until fans start wanting him to win. They sure know how to do that. Only this time: pull the trigger on turning it around at the right time.

    ReplyDelete
  40. what reigns truly needs is a hot feud as a single's guy. Big show and kane are not the guys to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. It's insane, because Rusev is RIGHT THERE and it's a case where both guys could probably elevate each other through some good matches.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Rusev/Reigns program culminating at SummerSlam would be an excellent idea.

    ReplyDelete
  43. another good feud for him is vs kevin owens. say he comes out tonight and knocks reigns out cold (just like against sami). bam instant hot feud

    ReplyDelete
  44. i like bill simmons idea of the ewing theory (person gets too much media/fan attention and the team does better without him). i wonder if kevin love will fall into that category with his shoulder injury and the cavs play much better without him

    ReplyDelete
  45. NWA87, what do you think about this idea:

Right after the '87 Bash tour, Steve Williams attacks Ric Flair and piledrives him on the floor. Flair leaves on a stretcher. While Flair is gone, Williams, the UWF Champion, claims to be the real world champion. Flair returns a month later (September), which leads to Flair/Williams to unify the NWA/UWF titles at Starrcade '87.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Bryan hands over the title, Barrett loses to Razor Ramon.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Is there anything less creative these days than a Last Man Standing match? I can't wait to see what tactic from Scooby Doo they use to end the match.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The Ewing Theory is ridiculous since the Knicks were not a better team without him. Tiki Theory works better

    ReplyDelete
  49. Jae Crowder is getting fucked up today.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I have a feeling lebron didn't like the physical play so he sent Perkins and smith after him

    ReplyDelete
  51. Not so much the match as the participants for me tonight

    ReplyDelete
  52. Can it possibly top Del Rio taping Show's legs to the ropes? That was a true low point for these matches.

    ReplyDelete
  53. HowmuchdoesthisguyweighApril 26, 2015 at 2:32 PM

Perkins maybe... Smith isn't a guy who people call upon. He just does stupid shit all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  54. HowmuchdoesthisguyweighApril 26, 2015 at 2:33 PM

That one made more sense than when cena did it to Batista

    ReplyDelete
  55. Daniel Beyan has been pulled from Extreme Rules

    ReplyDelete
  56. That at least gave us a great Batista promo ("Duct tape? Are you kidding me?") so it wasn't a lost cause.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Can't wait to see them set up that Seth Rollins vs. Kane feud that no one asked for and then they'll wonder why the next PPV tanks before putting all the blame on Seth.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I still think it's a slight red herring.

The video preview for Payback made it seem like Rollins will defend the title against both Orton and Reigns.

    ReplyDelete
  59. They went to the Finals as an 8 seed without him.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Well, I think part of the problem is that they think LMS matches HAVE to be creative.

Nothing wrong with shaking things up every so often, but the concept of the match should be two dudes slugging until one can slug no more. Cena did the duct-tape thing and all of a sudden, it became an arms race in who could come up with the most creative reason a guy can't stand up. Handcuffs! Tape again! A table on top of him (?)!

Also, it's not really shocking since John Cena, The Character is an awful person, but violating the spirit of the match by not really winning it, but rather engineering a cowardly workaround to bend the rules in your favor is such a fucking heel move and it's become the go-to face finish for these matches.

    ReplyDelete
  61. God, Dickhead Hollywood Dave Batista is so great. Why does he only engage that character right before he leaves wrestling?
