TNA Talents Unwanted by the WWE?

While a lot of TNA talents are putting out feelers to other companies due to unhappiness and believing that the company is all but dead, they were told by the WWE that they were not interested in anyone from the company and that attending the June tryout camp would be a waste of their time.

Update on the WWE Performance Center

The general viewpoint there is that it has been a far better environment ever since Bill DeMott left the company.

Comments

  1. Hoo boy, it'll come under attack but this weeks Observer was not upbeat about TNA. "Some have expressed to friends they believe the company is all but dead when they got the word the [China] tour was canceled", plus it being apparently open knowledge that DA tremendously regrets the TNA deal entirely.

    ReplyDelete
  2. As balance though, he wrote this about a James Storm angle: "Next was the best written and acted storyline in wrestling today. To me, when I think of a great angle, it’s something that’s going to lead to business, since that’s what angles are really for. Granted, this is not going to do anything. But as far as writing a believable angle and it being well acted, it’s so much better than anything being done in the major groups because there are no holes."

    ReplyDelete
  3. You should post that for the psychos at TNA Mecca.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Meltzer is just lying. TNA never even wanted to tour China. TNA is the best they've ever been. Didn't you hear what Dixie Carter said?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Man....those TNA guys can't even afford any sort of healing cream for the sick burns WWE gave them.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I decided to troll TNAMecca. We'll see how long it takes me to get banned.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'd say 5 comments

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yes, because Dixie's track record of telling the truth is sterling.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Meltzer is just out to get TNA!

    ReplyDelete
  10. I just saw that. The replies are hilariously awful to your comment

    ReplyDelete
  11. From TNAMecca: "Effective immediately, any and all reports by Dave Meltzer or anyone from his site are officially banned on TNAMecca. What does this mean? It means that the posting of any and all reports or rumors by Meltzer are no longer permitted in our comments section. Included are those reports by third party sites that report his nonsense.

If it's a Meltzer report, it is not permitted here. If you feel you want to continue reading his nonsense, you can do so elsewhere. But we need to take a stand and make it known that we do not in any way endorse what he reports or believe it.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding."

    All the lulz.

    ReplyDelete
  12. And yet they hired Joe...

But really. Why no talent raid? Why wouldn't WWE just scoop up the best 4 guys, pay them a fraction of what they pay Show, and kill TNA on their own terms. Rather than just wait for them to die. I'm honestly baffled by the thinking here.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Lmfao, that is absolutely incredible!

    ReplyDelete
  14. In Scientology terms, Meltzer is now a Supressive Person and must be destroyed.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh, TNA Fans...

    ReplyDelete
  16. HHH is a big Joe mark.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The psychotic paranoia at TNA Mecca is too much for me to even turn away

Just finished watching the Tag Team Ultimate X episode of Impact from a few weeks ago, first Impact episode I've watched in a very long time, and I wasn't that impressed, but I wasn't turned off, either. Having only one commentator hurt the broadcast, as did the Hardy Boyz winning (I dislike them both, especially Jeff's propensity to paint his eyelids to look like open eyes when they're shut).

I also read the recap of Dixie on Austin's podcast, so it's been a very TNA morning.

    ReplyDelete
  19. It's like North Korea over there. Did you know Dixie used to bowl and golf? She scored a 300 in bowling the first time and an 18 in golf so quit because.. it was too easy.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Its like a cult over there. That Chris Regal guy is a special kind of crazy

    ReplyDelete
  21. Extant1979 - Extreme SuperstarMay 7, 2015 at 7:53 AM

    What a bunch of psychotics.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Tnamecca banning all meltzer reports could be the most pathetic moment in iwc history.

    ReplyDelete
  23. But who is there for WWE to take? James Storm? He's in his late 30s now, isn't he? Kurt Angle? He tried to come back and they wouldn't take him. Bobby Lashley? Maybe a possibility despite the bad blood but Lashley wouldn't be able to do MMA on the side like he wants. A young up-and-comer like Ethan Carter? Might have burned his bridges after speaking out against DeMott. Same with Austin Aries and burned bridges.

Bobby Roode could be the only guy but with all the talent in NXT right now, I don't think he stands out enough.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I did take a listen to Billy Corgan on Jericho.

You know what, why not? I'm not sure if he's actually going to do anything, but he at least kind of gets the problem, which is TNA has no real identity or stars. So if his goal is to rebrand it, good for him. I'm sure he'll get frustrated and quit within a month, but again at least he kind of gets it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Its a psychoitc TNA Cult.

    ReplyDelete
  26. A line from HHH from the E:60 special that I loved: (paraphrasing) "Developmental is no longer a career" Meaning that they aren't going to just keep guys around there forever.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I don't know that's a high bar to hurdle.

    But it's damn close.

    ReplyDelete
  28. The WWE thing makes sense. There is not anyone over there THEY NEED. So if they shut the down on these guys now and someone is so butt hurt they won't negotiate with WWE when TNA is officially dead.. oh well. Mean while all the other guys are going to agree to even cheaper terms once they officially have no other recourse other than the indies so while it's not nice I'm not surprised they are pulling they...yea no thanks for now.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I have a theory that TNA fans are hardcore WCW fans and the WCW sale and Invasion angle broke them psychologically.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Sergeant Dr. Facts YatesMay 7, 2015 at 7:57 AM

    Hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  31. TNA in their minds and rightfully so isn't even something to kill. It's a non entity it has never made a blip in their business. They went head to head and TNA made the XFL look like a juggernaut in comparison

    ReplyDelete
  32. It was interesting to see on the special how involved Michael Cole is with the product. He's been such a puppet for how Vince and Dunn want the product to be that it can be hard to reconcile that hey, this guy probably knows wrestling and has input on talent development.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Remarkable. It reminds me of the HillaryIs44 website from 2007-08. Just the most insane people who instantly started in on Obama is a Sekrit Mooslin, born in Kenya, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Until there is another legit national pro wrestling company (sorry TNA, hasn't been one for 15 years), then pro wrestling in this country is going to further fade into irrelevance except for WrestleMania.

It's now boxing - most people care for 1 or 2 fights a year and ignore the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  35. The other podcast I listened to was Austin & Court Bauer, which was whatever but at the end they start talking about GFW and kind of diplomatically blast Jarrett for having no clue what the hell he's doing. I think Austin says at one point that his plan seems like it's 1/3rd of what Lucha Underground has going right now, and they kind of talk about how he has no real idea whether he's a third party promoter, or a wrestling company owner, or what the hell he's doing and that he's basically trying to shoot a pilot to shop to networks, none of which have any interest in buying wrestling programming.

    ReplyDelete
  36. He trains the announcers down there. I doubt he has anything to do with talent development from the wrestlers POV.

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's crazy that a company so few people care about also has people like tnamecca..like if they could get twice as many people to care 1/20th of what these people care...they might actually be paying their staff.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Successfully banned from TNAMecca!

    ReplyDelete
  39. They make Old Yeller look healthy and hale.

    ReplyDelete
  40. God help us if Michael Cole has input on talent development.

    ReplyDelete
  41. If TNA could just get themselves declared a religion they could be free from this kind of sadistic persecution from Big Dave.

    ReplyDelete
  42. You think he makes it that long?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Asked them if they were all as pumped as I was to watch The Rise and Fall of TNA on the WWE Network later this year.

    ReplyDelete
  44. God help us if Michael Cole has input on the training of announcers.

    ReplyDelete
  45. The Fall and Plummet of TNA Free this month on WWE Network

    ReplyDelete
  46. Goddamn I want to give this more +1's.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yeah, it's that way with a lot of TV shows that aren't successful though.

I just don't understand the mindset of a TNA fan. What the hell is TNA? I kind of knew what it was back in 2005, but it's been so schizo the last decade it has no brand.

It just seems like idiots who have a fanatical hatred of WWE who still have this unwavering believe that TNA can topple the empire when in reality it might not even be the #2 promotion in the US anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Merf, really hope Sami didn't tear his rotator cuff. But it looks like they are probably going to have to change Owens/Zayn II. I guess I'd turn the Breeze/Hideo/Balor match into a #1 contenders match for the main event to replace Zayn (it already is a #1 contenders I think), that or bring Cena in to replace Zayn and let Owens destroy him.

    ReplyDelete
  49. My next comment was going to be "When does the changeover to GFWMecca.com happen?"

    ReplyDelete
  50. Rightly so. Little late...but rightly so.

    ReplyDelete
  51. How many people are on that site? It has to be like two dozen at most, right?

    ReplyDelete
  52. "or bring Cena in to replace Zayn and let Owens destroy him."

LOL. As fun as this is to think about, it's just not happening.

    ReplyDelete
  53. My favorite reply to your comment:

"Maybe. Maybe one day WWE will fall, but their fans continue to complain about how bad the product is, yet still watch and even pay them money for the network. But they're the smart fans on the internet somehow, right?"

I dont know what the fuck any of that means by the way

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yeah. Fair point.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Interesting story about the TNA guys but I for one find it hard to believe that the WWE wouldn't at least look at hiring Bobby Roode. They aren't idiots and the guy is obviously very, very good with the perfect WWE look and seems to be a well liked pro.

    As for the rest:

Angle and Jeff Hardy - both top stars but no way would they touch them at this point
    Aries - too small
Young - they already have Daniel Bryan, they don't need another, lesser one
Storm - probably too old now unless coming in as a tag guy
Lashley - burnt too many bridges

    ReplyDelete
  56. 1.5 was going to be my Over/Under.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Mick Foley (it might have been him, maybe somebody else) said that HHH has been inquiring about Joe since 2004.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I always have thought that WWE will but TNA library and put it on the network but....they already have Rock N Wrestling up there..so what's the point? it would just be overkill wouldn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Yea I know, but it'd make sense storyline wise with Owens' tweets and Zayn getting hrut against him and all.

    ReplyDelete
  60. He produces the commentators.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I don't think you're wrong. I think it's a lot of people who believe Russo's WCW was great and would have been toe to toe with WWE if Russo hadn't been fired after three months.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Aries: Too small, shit attitude. See: Punk.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Whereabouts is all this taking place specifically?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Have his comments been deleted or are these in another thread on there?

    ReplyDelete
  65. well his nose was bleeding from furious anger at the time so he was just kind of batting at keys

    ReplyDelete
  66. So you're saying they're... retards? Mentally deficient persons? Brain damaged buffoons? Dropped on their head as babies dolts?

(Difference: I can feel bad for the last three, depending on how said damage was done. The first group are just potential euthanasia victims.)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Isn't Punk like 5 inches taller than Ares?

    ReplyDelete
  68. That was more referring to the attitude.

    ReplyDelete
  69. EC3 could be brought back, but I think he may of burnt bridges as well.
Magnus, Bram, and Jesse Godderz all have shots at WWE I think.
With Drew no longer in WWE, I could see Taryn being brought back in as well.

    ReplyDelete
  70. They really seem to love Bob Ryder there. That's kinda weird.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Maybe they should have Alex Riley wrestle Owens. I'm sure Alex can win the title this time!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Just posted: "So do you guys think TNA's library will be in the most obscure part of the Vault section on the WWE Network next year?"

    ReplyDelete
  73. Not when you consider how long Ryder's been basically sucking the TNA schlong. Hell, wasn't he basically their PR department for a while?

    ReplyDelete
  74. NXT is so good it even does authority gimmicks right. Stay in the background and make important announcements every one in a while.

    ReplyDelete
  75. That definitely lends credit to the WCW fan stuff because he was the 'EVERYTHING IS FINE. WWF IS EVIL." cult leader for them back then.

    ReplyDelete
  76. And I apologize for the blatant overuse of "basically".

    ReplyDelete
  77. It's a lot easier to get away with having a shit attitude in the E if you're over 6 feet tall.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Hell, last week they even did the distraction finish right!

The only way I could find a heel authority figure interesting these days is if he's essentially a manager with the power to make matches and doesn't overshadow feuds.

    ReplyDelete
  79. So how awesome was the NXT Women's Title match contract signing last night?

    ReplyDelete
  80. LOL, yeah pretty much.

You have to remember, though, Russo was like the original IWC/Smark darling. WCW did that internet radio show with Jeremy Borash back in the day and Russo was on it like every week talking inside baseball and taking calls from people, and they absolutely loved him for it, until most realized his plans sucked.

So I think you're talking about people who were true believers in Russo, and true believers that Jeff Jarrett was cool and was a main eventer, and when WCW failed and Vince pissed on the ashes, they could never let it go, and then they flocked to TNA, and yeah it's almost like a cult at this point held together by the fact that Vince is the great satan.

I don't quite get their loyalty to Dixie. But, maybe like the Xenu story reveal to scientologists, one you get to that point, you're in it too large at that point to quit.

    ReplyDelete
  81. The stamp was a hilarious touch.

    ReplyDelete
  82. While I don't blame any TNA talent looking for new work, TNA has proven to be the Rasputin of wrestling companies. Every single time it appears dead, it survives.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Alex Riley going away because of surgery ruins my theory of him costing Zayn the match at Takeover and turning heel.

    ReplyDelete
  84. It'll probably get more eyeballs than they get now. And that's sad (funny, though).

    ReplyDelete
  85. Hunter turned over in bed, and tried again to find the sweet embrace of sleep, but despite the warm milk he drank an hour previous, the only embrace came from his wife.
"Paul," she whispered as she snuggled over to him, "You having trouble sleeping again, why don't you whip out the sledgehammer and I'll take your mind off of whatever ails you."
"Silence wife!", he finally shouted in frustration. "I'm so close this time. I'm close to hiring him! Making tender but passionate love to you would only distract me from closing the deal."
"Again with Samoa Joe! This is why I remain unfulfilled as a wife. As a woman!? This quest of yours has been going for a decade!" Stephanie stood up and wrapped a robe around yourself. She walked out in a huff of hurt and confusion.
"Perhaps all I need is 11 years," he mumbled to himself before finally drifting off into a troubled dream.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Why do people have a problem with Dana Brooke? She has a ton of potential.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I look forward to it so many AJ, Joe, Daniels, Low Ki, Angle, Christian, Motor City Machine Guns, Aries, etc awesome matches I could finally watch again.

I want to see the MCMG/Beer Money best of 7 series again so badly!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Sergeant Dr. Facts YatesMay 7, 2015 at 8:15 AM

Time to wander over to TNAMecca.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Fair points. I think there is heat on EC3 otherwise he would certainly have a shout.

Roode's the one I don't get as you would think they would have tried to sign him in the past but nothing has ever happened.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Even Rasputin eventually died!

    Rasputin anagram: TNA Sirup.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I think they've had talks when Roode's contracts been close to expiring in the past, but maybe what happened to Chris Harris scared Roode away from exploring it any further.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Sergeant Dr. Facts YatesMay 7, 2015 at 8:17 AM

    HAHAHAHAHA blocked already.

    ReplyDelete
  93. There's a problem in wrestling with people just hating anyone who is viewed as earmarked by the company a star. The fact that she's clearly a HHH darling and a work in progress as a wrestler (I mean, it IS developmental) is enough for a lot of people.

It's actually kind of bizarre when you think about it. Most people who like a TV show, or movie, or something want to go along with the people steering the ship. Wrestling has this unique thing where the fans absolutely hate what the people telling the story want to do and try their hardest to change or sabotage it.

    ReplyDelete
  94. TNA Prius.

    vs WWE's eighteen wheeler.

    It went as expected.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I also assume Vince thinks he already owns TNA. "Vince TNA guys want jobs" "We already own those guys...they wrestle on the network on Wednesdays" "That's NXT Vince" "....right.....so tell them we call them up to the main roster when we damn well please"

    ReplyDelete
  96. She is already decent on the mic and in the ring and she has only been on TV for a few weeks. Sky is the limit for her.

    ReplyDelete
  97. True but the Chris Harris situation was mostly his own fault - showing up badly out of shape and a shadow of the guy he was in TNA.

Yeah the Braden Walker name didn't help but that hasn't stopped Dolph Ziggler or Seth Rollins.

    ReplyDelete
  98. And as some of us mentioned in the past, that's what 18 years of "AUTHORITY EVIL HAHAHA!" angles has created. Now there's enough fans that will not, or can not, seperate HHH the COO from HHH the EVIL AUTHORITY FIGURE. Same with Vince and Steph.

    ReplyDelete
  99. TheBrazillianTrannyMay 7, 2015 at 8:19 AM

Bram was fired after punching a cop, so i doubt they would want him back.
EC3 was simply let go because "creative have nothing for you" but wasn't shy talking about DeMott so maybe there is some heat on that

    ReplyDelete
  100. This is what I was going to say the over the top video packages making her a star already and then....her being pretty green in the ring = hate

    ReplyDelete
  101. I haven't watched this week's NXT yet, but from her debut to her second appearance, the improvement was substantial. So she's got a good shot.

    ReplyDelete
  102. It's a case of people forgetting that nXt is still a developmental territory so if they see somebody green as shit they're gonna assume they'll never amount to anything.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I don't get that. I thought we all loved video packages?

    ReplyDelete
  104. I forgot about the cop punching thing . . . yea . .
Well if it was DeMott related, with him gone they may forgive and forget.

    ReplyDelete
  105. ....can't believe I spent time as a WCW guy drinking the ryder coolaid.

    ReplyDelete
  106. They've brought into the "NXT is actually a super indy" hype and forgotten that it's actually WWE's developmental league.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Yeah, didn't Foley say something like that during the Daniel Bryan stuff and he was basically on the shit list for a while with WWE because of it.

It's so true. Even the smarkiest of fans can't differentiate that stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  108. She ain't even that green.

    ReplyDelete
  109. She is in NXT..if she lives up to potential she will win everyone over so it will all work out.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Oprah NoodlemantraMay 7, 2015 at 8:21 AM

And the instant "Like a boss" chant.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Hell, even indy shows will have horribly green guys who only know how to flip

    ReplyDelete
  112. People being spoiled because a development territory has every big Indy guy of the last five years simultaneously and can't process the idea of anybody being green or using the territory for training or improvement?

    ReplyDelete
  113. TheBrazillianTrannyMay 7, 2015 at 8:22 AM

It's a good stategy from WWE, making it know that they won't hire anyone from TNA might dissuade promising indy talent to sign there in the future

    ReplyDelete
  114. Could they bring Neville in as a surprise opponent? Although I suppose that match has been done and Owens put over.

    ReplyDelete
  115. TNA doesn't really need any help in dissuade promising indy talent

    ReplyDelete
  116. Booby Roode is 38. When WWE is iffy on signing 36 year-old Samoa Joe, the company probably isn't looking at many guys on the cusp of 40. If they wanted Roode, they could've had him in 2002-4 when he was doing dark matches and C-show jobs all the time.

Lashley is damaged goods in WWE's eyes. They gave him a push to the moon and he fumbled.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Right. They're called "contract offers"

    ReplyDelete
  118. Dave sez on the show this morning that it ain't Itami getting the shot either and he doesn't know anything more about it.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I can't see them not giving EC3 a 2nd look. His heel work is easily the best in TNA, and may be on par with Miz (when he isn't being buried).

    ReplyDelete
  120. Really liked the Uhaa Nation video package on NXT. I'm gonna predict now he'll be WWE Champion within two or three years.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Somewhere Bobby Roode is in tears, eating his dog food and realizing this is all it ever will be.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Oprah NoodlemantraMay 7, 2015 at 8:24 AM

If they got WCW for around $2 million, what would they get TNA for?

    ReplyDelete
  123. You'd think they'd make an exception for him.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Go to Japan, Bobby. I'm sure Bullet Club's ready to cycle a member or two out.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Oprah NoodlemantraMay 7, 2015 at 8:26 AM

But why bring in TNA guys with zero name value when you can build your own guys in NXT?

Why have a Storm or Aries come in when you can make 12 versions of them down there if you want?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Just checked, and didn't realise he was 38. Thought he was much younger. In which case, no they won't.

    ReplyDelete
  127. It has been done and he wasn't at the last trains at all as they want to establish him as a WWE guy now. You know what? Bring in Cesaro, he's face nite, he can reminisce about what a great competitor Zayn was in there 3 matches. They'd tear the house down too.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Not to pile on the TNA discussion, but there's a bit in the new WON about how Destination America is already regretting the deal with TNA. Gotta say, you lie with the dogs, you get the fleas, so that one's on them.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Oprah NoodlemantraMay 7, 2015 at 8:28 AM

I must be the only one who sees ZERO in EC3. He acts like TNA's Rock, but everything he does makes him seem like TNA's Santino.

A feud with Spud?! That'll put butts in the seats.

    ReplyDelete
  130. What TNA talents should WWE want?

Lashley, Angle, and the Hardys are really the only ones, and that's because they're ex-WWE and have some name value.

Bobby Roode is a solid worker, but he's not a household name and he's 38. The combination of anonymity and age, I get why they'd pass on him.

Who else? They had ECIII at one point in their system, so they've passed on him before. Spud might be a good manager for someone. But really, I don't see anyone else.

    ReplyDelete
  131. TheBrazillianTrannyMay 7, 2015 at 8:28 AM

It's true I only watch TNA to see him (so of course they put him against Anderson ...)

    ReplyDelete
  132. I think she is going to be a star. The "I'm better than you" gimmick she is doing right now is coming off a bit forced, but as she gets better and more comfortable doing it, the sky is the limit.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Yeah. He's ancient for a new guy. He's averaged size and not dramatically better in the ring than ten guys they already have. His look is average and his promo ability is slightly above average. I have no idea why WWE would want him.

    ReplyDelete
  134. TheBrazillianTrannyMay 7, 2015 at 8:29 AM

Did you actually see it ? It misht sound ridiculous on paper but it was pretty well done

    ReplyDelete
  135. Who else thought DA getting TNA wasn't a bad thing? It was a fail waiting to happen, like Wile E. and those Acme products.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Is there a reason?

TNA has to be the highest rated thing on their channel and they can't be paying that much for it.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I guess the episode of Ghost Hunters where they tried to contact the kid that James Storm shot dead in a barn didn't do the number they were expecting.

    ReplyDelete
  138. See your point but some of these guys are very talented. Roode and Storms age is working against them but both have proven to be capable of being top guys who can play effective heels or faces. At the very least why not make a play for them as a tag team?

    ReplyDelete
  139. Yes. EC3 has incredible charisma as the arrogant heel. He got the crowd to the point where they wanted Spud to beat him down. That's quality heel work.

    ReplyDelete
  140. The only TNA talent I really want to see in WWE is Gail Kim. I'd rather see Aries and Rude try the indy/NJPW route than just be midcard jobbers for WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  141. They're the worst kind of roster. No young assets or cheap veterans with name recognition. It's embarrassingly fallow.

    ReplyDelete
  142. If Sami can't go, they should make the triple threat match winner get the title shot that night.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Because WWE has devalued tag teams to the point where I'm willing to bet they're the cheapest guys on the roster now. If they get a singles star out of a tag team somehow, that's a bonus.

    TNA Mecca posters:
    *Fingers in ears*
La la la la la la la la la la la la

    ReplyDelete
  145. They should give the Wolves another look, but that's about it.

    ReplyDelete
  146. NONSENSE. PERMA-BAN THIS POSTER.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Maybe re-sign McIntyre. Give the Bro-Mans a shot in NXT.

    ReplyDelete
  148. We're not TNAMecca. Dave's fine here.

    LULZ.

I would think Hs sleeps with the sledgehammer in between him and Steph.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Does anyone know the full story on Todd Martin and the Observer? I tried to read a thread on THE BOARD but nobody said what actually happened

    ReplyDelete
  151. I also think they should bring in JB, I've always liked the guy, never heard anything bad about him, and he is a good announcer, interviewer and ring announcer.

    ReplyDelete
  152. I said this the other day, but I think they should do a video (as though it's been filmed by a fan) of Owens attacking Zayn after Raw.

Regarding the match, I think it's difficult to do another title match in its place, so have Owens open the show with an promo and someone challenge him non-title. Who that is, I'm not sure.

    ReplyDelete
  153. He probably tried to tell the truth about wrestling somehow. Davey Boy Mootzer hates that because it doesn't bring Teh Clickz.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Drew's ex has a better shot than Drew, IMO... I could see the "celeb-fuckers" going after two "reality stars" in the Bro-mans, but then again where does that leave Dougie's manlove?

    ReplyDelete
  155. They let Owens dominate and win the title immediately and turned him into a star. If Zayn is out, do the same thing with Uhaa.

And I'm not saying that Owens wasn't going to be a star anyway, but people were skeptical when he was signed that they would actually get behind him.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I like McIntyre, but they've also got a bunch of similar guys that they don't use very well.

So it's not that McIntyre is bad, or doesn't have value, but I don't know that he does anything to differentiate himself from everyone else in the logjam at the middle and bottom of the roster.

Well Hogan was the "lil bit of rocket fuel TNA needed...'' and they're now in worse shape than before.

    TNA = The Challenger.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Yea this surprised me a little to I mean ratings wise they have done about as good as any sane person could have predicted on DA. Also tna have at least on one occasion changed direction from orders handed down from DA going oh you want us to put the belt on Kurt Angle...ok we will toss our plans out the window and put the belt on him.

    ReplyDelete
  159. I think they'd sign Edwards if he wanted to break up his tag team, but Richards burned bridges when he had his NXT tryout.

    ReplyDelete

"Well yeah, you know... I could be out to get TNA, but I also could not be."

    ReplyDelete
  161. If TNA dies quickly enough that they don't get too much stink on them they should pick up Mia Yim and that afro chick she's tagging with.

    ReplyDelete
  162. She's been there...twice....and it failed both times.

I can say that over the years of TNA the only ones I've really thought had a chance were Roode (especially) and Storm. Too old now though to work there way through the ranks.

Styles would have been nice but he's never ever felt like a WWE kind of guy.

    ReplyDelete
  163. They've already acknowledged Sami's injury on Raw on NXT.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Wait... Miz and those two as the new "Three Man Band"?

YES!... mainly because it puts Miz exactly where he belongs: Jobberville.

    ReplyDelete
  165. he was going to expose the truth about how great TNA is doing! Viva La TNA!

    ReplyDelete
  166. Did they? Missed it.

    ReplyDelete
  167. It's amazing that Tyler Breeze made a simple spinning wheel kick look vicious as fuck.

he pander to the crowd ..i mean stand up for wrestling

    ReplyDelete
  169. Gail walking out during the middle of a match when she quit last time leads me to believe she has zero chance of returning. She'll go to GFW or Lucha Underground and do well though.

    ReplyDelete
  170. They showed a clip of the Cena match.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Wait, Mia Yim's in TNA? Poor girl.

    ReplyDelete
  172. The last reports (which was a while ago) was that DA expected that TNA would get much higher ratings, closer to what they got on Spike.

Of course, considering DA has roughly 1/2 the audience of Spike, you'd think they would've done the math.

DA also didn't like that TNA taped so many shows in England, because America.

    ReplyDelete
  173. This would be awesome, I do love Uhaa, but I think it might be too quick for WWE. Now Joe on the other hand . . .

    ReplyDelete
  174. You'd think DA would've asked someone from Spike, "So, why did you cancel these guys?"

    ReplyDelete
  175. I posted this in the NXT thread but it would look a hell of a lot better if his ring gear didn't make it look like his opponent was getting hit with the soft part of a mop.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Ah, okay. A shame not to have Owens get some heat from it, although perhaps they're saving that for the special.

    ReplyDelete
  177. well these are people that pay money and give camera equipment to people and expect them to go find ghosts so....

    ReplyDelete
  178. Doing some psycho bully girl gimmick with the other girl and a freshly heel turned Taryn Terrell. They stick jawbreakers in peoples mouths.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Right, and before they were promoting TNA a ton, but that support eventually eroded.

Not to mention DA being involved with TNA booking decisions.

    ReplyDelete
  180. He deviated from the match lay out for the American Pitbulls / Ascension match (although after being dropped on his head by Konnor, he probably had no idea what the lay out was).

I really would love to see Samoa Joe vs Kevin Owens battle it out for the belt in NXT.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Oprah NoodlemantraMay 7, 2015 at 8:40 AM

They are for sure. Roode and Storm as BM was one of my top tag teams in late 2000s.

But when Nash and Angle are always asked why they retired after WWE and get a "What's a TNA?" response, it really shows that the average fan has zero idea who anyone in TNA is...

    ReplyDelete
  183. Even if they did, they'd still sell it like death.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Sergeant Dr. Facts YatesMay 7, 2015 at 8:40 AM

Weren't they responsible basically for them forcing TNA to put the belt on Angle?

    ReplyDelete
  185. Does anyone else see Sasha being the perfect storyline "partner" for The Miz?

    ReplyDelete
  186. Yes, because Angle = ratings.

It's like me explaining to Austin Rivers how to dribble.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Oh boy, that would blow the roof off the place if he replaced Zayn.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Is Joe officially under WWE contract yet?

Could they do a think at the Takeover where Kevin Owens issues an open challenge and Joe answers it?

    ReplyDelete
  189. Of course GFW will take any talent WWE doesn't if TNA dies off before they start.

    ReplyDelete
  190. Oprah NoodlemantraMay 7, 2015 at 8:42 AM

Yeah, I gave Impact a chance as the TNA channel allowed us Canucks to watch it for free on YT.

The whole thing just screams "We need something for these two to do." Another hair vs hair match, Jeremy Borash, and Brodus Clay, snore....

    ReplyDelete
  191. Beat me by seconds to this post. Yea..bring joe in have them beat the shit out of each other have Owens go over. Do the ..you aren't in TNA any more Joe thing.. where he has to earn his spot. It's not going to hurt joe but will help Owens and ...its those two beating the shit out of each other so we win too.

    ReplyDelete
  192. I want to watch that new This Week In WWE History show on the network but it ain't showing up on my roku.

    ReplyDelete
  193. He is supposedly under contract but not set to start till June because of indie commitments, but I think they could probably offer him an extra one night deal if they wanted to.

    ReplyDelete
  194. Oh yeah, DA wants Kurt Angle to be the focus of the shows. Because America.
