ACQUIRING THE RIGHTS TO RING OF HONOR'S

(Silver Spring, Md.) –Destination America announced today that it has signed a national broadcast deal with professional wrestling league RING OF HONOR, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., bringing one of the most respected wrestling organizations to the only network dedicated to all-American entertainment. Destination America is now the one-two-punch to professional wrestling, adding RING OF HONOR (ROH) to its line-up after launching IMPACT WRESTLING in early 2015. RING OF HONOR has been delivering top wrestling matches for ten years with captivating hard-hitting stars such as Jay & Mark Briscoe, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, The Young Bucks, Maria Kanellis, Adam Cole and Jay Lethal.  Destination America will pack on the action beginning Wednesday June 3 with the series premiere of RING OF HONOR at 8/7c leading into brand new premieres of IMPACT WRESTLING at 9/8c.

  1. So are they adding more wrestling based on their happiness with TNA? Or are they replacing TNA?

    ReplyDelete
  2. Sha-na-na-na, Sha-na-na-na, HEY HEY HEY, GOOD-BYE!

    ReplyDelete
  3. There ain't no "eventually" about it.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I think likely they are seeeing if A. They can get the same ratings for half the price with another wrestling company.
    B. The off chance that a two hour block raises Impact ratings with a hipper wrestling show as the lead in.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Its kind of a strange press release if they really are cancelling tna as of September.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'd say this is quite the coup for ROH but it airs on regular ol Fox on my cable package even if it is a Saturday Night slot.

Still this came outta nowhere didn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  7. I am by no means a TNA fan, but this sentence:

"RING OF HONOR will premiere on Wednesday, June 3 leading into IMPACT WRESTLING, making Destination America the home for wrestling every Wednesday evening."

Would've led me to believe DA is actually trying to structure a night around wrestling programming vs. throwing TNA away.

Also, wasn't the word from Meltzer that they were having a hard time getting advertising for a wrestling show? Why would they sign up *another* wrestling show if advertising was so hard to get for the other one?

  8. MVP :D

  9. No need to worry about TNA, folks!

ECW and WWE coexisted peacefully on TNN (Spike TV) for a period of time in 2000 and........umm.........uhhh............oh boy.

I got nothing to work with here.

Last one out of TNA, turn out the lights.

    ReplyDelete
  10. That's my main concern, will this be NEW matches and shows, or will they just re-air the latest ROH on Sinclair episode? I'm dropping down to a lesser cable package soon and won't have DA, but we have a Sinclair CBS affiliate.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hats off to TNA, DA and ROH if this is some master scheme to create a ROH/TNA interpromotional feud.

    Otherwise, LOLTNA

    ReplyDelete
  12. It's interesting to note that Samoa Joe still has ROH dates left, so there's a good chance we'd see him on the WWE Network and Destination America on the same week. How mind-blowing is that?

    ReplyDelete
  13. There's no value to carrying two wrestling shows. They're just trying to put the best spin on a bad situation.

    ReplyDelete
  14. danimalcrossing.comMay 27, 2015 at 12:17 PM

Because the other one was Ned TNA which scared off advertisers even more than just regular wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  15. That's the impression I get too. But that's the only mention of TNA so I think they're trying the night of wrestling thing as a best case scenario to salvage TNA but are more invested in ROH in the long run.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'd put Styles vs Daniels vs Joe on just to rub it in.

    ReplyDelete
  17. That'll be Eric Young.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Roh would probably offer to fill TNAs time slot, as well as their own, for less money just to push out the competition.

    ReplyDelete
  19. ROH is going to offer to do three hours of wrestling for less money?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I thinK Meltzer was talking about how that IS a problem for wrestling in general, but that wasn't neccessarily the main reason they were getting canned. But who knows. Everything's gonna be pretty clear by the end of tonight it seems

    ReplyDelete
  21. You know what's interesting? The name "Ring of Honor" suggest purity and prestige.

The name "TNA" suggests smut and debauchery.

I can definitely see how that might affect advertising.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Mentioning TNA like that is weird if the cancellation is a done deal.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Apparently it's not first run stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Is that 3:00 conference call Eastern Time?

    ReplyDelete
  25. It's so crazy that TNA didn't decide to have a conference call with talent BEFORE the anxiety-inducing announcement rather than after. Even if it's good news in the end, that's still shitty.

    ReplyDelete
  26. They're running it until September, might as well make the best of a bad situation.

What makes no sense is running two wrestling shows back to back on the same night. It's not remotely cost effective. They're better off running one show for 2-3 hours.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I meant less than TNA are asking for that slot, If theyre just showing second run stuff it's not like it's costing them much.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Took the words right outta my mouth

    ReplyDelete
  29. MVP would agree, judging by his tweets.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Belee_Matt!_INDEED!!!May 27, 2015 at 12:32 PM

Is it really that crazy? We're talking about TNA here.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Belee_Matt!_INDEED!!!May 27, 2015 at 12:33 PM

That's gotta be a weird feeling.
    ....to agree with Dougie.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Which leads me to believe one of those shows is not long for this station. LOLTNA.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well if it is a done deal then ROH will probably get both hours at that point.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Cool, this will make me want to watch Impact because I won't shut off the stream

    ReplyDelete
  35. So any chance DA has thoughts of a Invasion angle?

    ReplyDelete
  36. It is the syndie show from the weekend before.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Is it possible TNA now stays? Dave said the decision to cancel was made before the decision to move to Wednesdays, I think. Maybe DA's whole thinking has changed.

    ReplyDelete
  38. You need a shower after doing something crazy like that.

    ReplyDelete
  39. It is the syndie show from the weekend before. So show will air on Sinclair over the weekend and then DA that Weds.

    ReplyDelete
  40. On TNA conference call:

Dixie: I just want to assure you all that everything...

:guy in background: Hey where should I put this ROH equipment?

    Dixie: ... I said everything...

:other guy in bg: Put it here just move this TNA crap outta the way.

    Dixie: ...EVERYTHING IS FINE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. It certainly is going to cost them more if they have to start providing 2 hours of content instead of 1.

    ReplyDelete
  42. After it cancels TNA, when they can scoop up TNA talent, yes.

Right now, why would TNA be a party to that?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Is Impact 2 hours or 3?

    ReplyDelete
  44. If it's not three, it feels like it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©May 27, 2015 at 12:41 PM

    I'm actually ok with this.

    ReplyDelete
  46. MVP's doing that talking, but Wade Keller does point out on Twitter that he would be one of the main guys you'd expect to work an angle if ROH vs TNA was the angle

    ReplyDelete
  47. Again, for a network bitching about how much wrestling costs to produce, and how it can't sell ads to run two separate wrestling shows just seems beyond insane.

I think they're doing this now to make sure most of TNA's audience checks out ROH.

Then TNA gets the axe and maybe ROH goes to two hours.

It just doesn't make any sense for DA to double down on two wrestling shows.

Even Spike wanted no part of that and they had two significantly better shows in WWF and ECW at their disposal.

    ReplyDelete
  48. So Samoa Joe possibly actively wrestling on 2 wrestling shows on 2 major channels? Assuming he eventually hits RAW, when was the last time someone was doing that?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Maybe they're not giving ROH any money. Or less money at least.

    ReplyDelete
  50. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©May 27, 2015 at 12:44 PM

Better to feel like 3 hours then actually be 3 hours.

    ReplyDelete
  51. If DA guarantees their survival for a longer period of time, then yeah, but with no guarantee, they'd be insane.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I'd imagine that if he is going to be on Raw, it'd be in his contract that he can't be on ROH television.

    ReplyDelete
  53. You'd think MVP would be smart enough to keep his mouth shut, because he's still viable enough that someone like WWE or ROH would take a flyer on him. But this kind of tantrum is only going to blow up in his face.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Today is coincidentally the 19th anniversary of Scott Hall showing up on Nitro...

    ReplyDelete
  55. Smart people do it all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Has Billy Corgan called out DA for not reporting the whole truth and being worked by a sloppy angle?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Not saying TNA isn't in trouble, but this line is odd if they are:

"Destination America is now the one-two-punch to professional wrestling, adding RING OF HONOR (ROH) to its line-up after launching IMPACT WRESTLING in early 2015."

    ReplyDelete
  58. You're right. Still would be cool

    ReplyDelete
  59. This is the funniest thing in a while.

    ReplyDelete
  60. They want as much ratings as they can between now and the end of Sept. Plus if this gets people excited and TNA ratings go up ..they will bring TNA back if it is worth it to DA

    ReplyDelete
  61. That would be a great final chapter to LOLTNA

"ROH vs. TNA: TNA commits seppuku"

    ReplyDelete
  62. Unlikely but I don't think it is completely impossible...

When you factor in how adamant TNA has been and Corgan's tweets about the sheets being worked or whatever...

I also know there are some in both companies that have long believed they should work together.

Unlikely, but there is some smoke.

    ReplyDelete
  63. PRESS RELEASE: TNA Wrestling excited to be the second highest rated wrestling show on Destination America!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I don't think he's thinking it through. DA and TNA obviously have a strained relationship, I seriously doubt TNA was told that a competing product was getting signed so it's not like it's TNA's fault they didn't tell the roster something they didn't know anyway.

It's not like DA is going to check with Dixie first to make sure she's ok with this.

    ReplyDelete
  65. That DA logo looks like it's from the late 70's

    ReplyDelete
  66. It's also the first day of Hornswoggle's Year 10 in WWE!

    ReplyDelete
  67. WOW. That's some cold shit, Destination America.

    ReplyDelete
  68. ... and soon they find themselves incapable of intelligent thought.

    Just mayo. Delicious mayo.

    ReplyDelete
  69. He's one of the only people that I have ever unfollowed on Twitter. He just comes across as being so full of himself (under the guise of "recognizing his own value"). Seems to look down upon a lot of his fans, too.

    ReplyDelete
  70. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©May 27, 2015 at 12:54 PM

My head doesn't hurt as badly when I watch Impact.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I said it earlier, but I'm just amazed to see the words "professional wrestling." It's like saying hi to an old friend.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 12:55 PM

So the ROH show will probably just be another airing of the weekly show that ROH already makes for Sinclair syndication, right?

If so, then long term this seems to be a positive low-risk deal for both ROH and DA. ROH gets exposure in additional cities where Sinclair doesn't own a channel, while DA gets a much cheaper programming option than TNA. (Since ROH was alreday producing this content, so the DA money is gravy, not what keeps them alive as with TNA.)

What would really make this a win for ROH would be if they did occasional Sunday night PPV-level shows on DA, as that would be some more cash for them and a nice (theoretically) high rated special a few times per year for DA.

Plus the added exposure helps ROH monetarily in ways it couldn't help TNA, because ROH actually sells tickets to live events and runs PPV.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Well If TNA sticks around Dixie now has easy access to logical booking and maybe will learn something

    ReplyDelete
  74. That fits, most of their fanbase are probably in their 70's.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Yes, it is definitely the same show.

    ReplyDelete
  76. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©May 27, 2015 at 12:57 PM

    ReplyDelete

So, does this mean they can give the title to EC3 now?

    One more year.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 12:58 PM

Very smart on both sides. DA knows it will have to expect lower ratings, since so many ROH fans will still watch the show on their syndicated channels, BUT you gotta figure the rights fees will be way lower than whatever they're paying TNA.

Plus I'd imagine that if nothing else, it'll be a little easier for the family-friendly DA to sell ads on a show called "Ring of Honor" rather than "TNA".

    ReplyDelete
  80. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 12:59 PM

Christ how vindicated must AJ Styles feel right now. You know he can't wait to piss all over TNA's grave.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Right, and whatever the rating is for ROH is a bonus on top of their syndicated viewership.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Bob Ryder ‏@brydertna
    Welcome to the neighborhood @RingOfHonor!

    ReplyDelete
  83. This is what I am thinking. It is probation for TNA.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Who's gonna sneak Meltzer onto the conference call?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 1:03 PM

I tell ya, EC3 as TNA's last world champ and leading a heel stable of TNA guys into ROH AFTER TNA folds in September would make for a fun angle.

Keep it small, but a heel group of EC3, Roode, and Storm in ROH could be a hot angle.

Now of course, the dumbest thing ROH could ever do is a worked TNA angle with TNA still alive. In no way should they actually consider doing anything with TNA management.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Bob Ryder also gave a Twitter shout-out to NXT for the Samoa Joe debut. The guy is kissing all the asses he can in the hopes someone will offer him a job.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I'm just gonna be a Pollyanna and offer a couple of possibilities other than LOLTNAIZDEAD.

    1. Dixie and Corgan have been hustling and convinced ROH to work with them and DA to trying giving them a wrestling block.

    2. DA is giving TNA one last chance. They are giving them a better night and a lead in. If they can do something with it, they stay. If not, ROH gets their spot.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 1:04 PM

    What is a Bob Ryder?

    ReplyDelete
  89. Exactly how I read it. What a creepy little troll.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 1:06 PM

Exactly. ROH gets more exposure and more people they could market tickets/PPVs/DVDs to, and DA gets a signature show that costs them less money.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 1:06 PM

Wonder if this makes it more likely that ROH/Sinclair, and not WWE, buys the TNA tape library in September.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I didn't know who he was until I watched the Forever Hardcore documentary on YouTube last night. He's one creepy looking dude.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Zack Ryder's annoying, overweight, balding, sycophantic uncle

    ReplyDelete
  94. Meltzer's twitter feed is a mess right now. It's full of both sides of the TNA mess claiming that this means victory for their side.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 1:09 PM

    So he worked at ECW?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Sounded like he worked for ECW, WCW, and now TNA.

    ReplyDelete
  97. You could make some pretty cool DVD sets for some of the guys who were in both promotions, actually

    ReplyDelete
  98. I'm going with #2. Dixie isn't smart enough for #1

    ReplyDelete
  99. Dixie at the conference call: "I want to thank you all for joining us first I want to say...OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT? :evidently pointing off in a direction followed by the sound of of running away::

    ReplyDelete
  100. It is more valuable to WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I'm honestly shocked that Bob Ryder is still around. I was hoping the WCW collapse would have sent him into whatever primordial soup Mark Madden got flushed into.

    ReplyDelete
  102. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©May 27, 2015 at 1:13 PM

I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up in the Impact Zone, with the IWGP championship and cut a promo about how bad the company is.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 1:14 PM

Exactly. We keep focusing on the value of WWE completing their Angle, Sting, and Hardy sets, but maybe ROH jumps in with the idea that now they can do killer sets on Joe, AJ, Aries, Daniels, Kaz, etc.

It's interesting. The thing is, for WWE the real value of the TNA library probably isn't even in the Sting/Angle/Hardy and Christian (hahahaha RIGHT) DVD sets, since DVD is a dying division. It's more that TNA would provide them a load of PPVs from the last ten years that they can throw up on the Network.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Looks like a fat balding pedo.

Or your average internet wrestling fan. Either works.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I honestly have no idea what she would have to talk about. Refuting Dave's story or talking about being excited to be partnering with ROH could be handled (and more controlled) with a simple press release. She's not going to announce they're being canceled in September, even if it's true.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Only TNA-tards would think having a superior wrestling product air right before your generally shitty product will make your product look good.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Nothing will ever top Rick Rude being on RAW and Nitro on the same night.

    ReplyDelete
  108. The only people dumb enough to believe that are already watching, so I guess it can't hurt.

    ReplyDelete
  109. LOL TNA:

"According to PWInsider.com, TNA talent have been told that the company will be having a mandatory conference call at 3 p.m. ET on May 27. It is believed that the call is for TNA President Dixie Carter to address the situation between TNA Wrestling and Destination America, the Cable network that airs their flagship show, “IMPACT WRESTLING,” with her locker room.

As previously reported, rumors have run rampant about whether or not Discovery, parent to Destination America, would be canceling all TNA Wrestling programming in September. Carter, amongst other TNA executives claimed the story as merely a rumor, and that TNA was going no where. Carter also reportedly told TNA talent to not look at the viewership numbers for “IMPACT,” but to just have fun.

This came after talent reportedly had been getting paid late by TNA, sometimes an entire month late. Not only did the talent suffer through late payments, but the crew as well. Amidst all of this, Carter tried to keep TNA’s boat a float and not see the ship sink.

Carter then reportedly trashed Destination America in an e-mail that got sent to the wrong people, most notably the President of the network. Apparently, Carter accidentally CC’d the Destination America executive, causing even more friction between the two parties.

According to a source close to both TNA and WrestlingRumors.net, the two parties have been at odds with each other for a while. He states that Destination America does not like Carter, claiming that she and other TNA executives lack the ability to communicate well within their business. According to this source, Destination America also sent TNA a list of stars that they wanted pushed on their programming, but the only one the company pushed was Kurt Angle. The others haven’t been used the way Destination America wanted them to be. This furthered the rift between the two companies.

Along with all of this, Destination America and Ring of Honor announced on May 27 that RoH would be airing their weekly television program on Wednesday nights on Destination America, just before “IMPACT WRESTLING.” This means that “Lucha Underground,” “ROH TV,” WWE’s “NXT,” and “IMPACT WRESTLING” will all be airing on the same night, at the same time. With this news shocking the wrestling world, it is believed that Carter wants to address this situation on the May 27 conference call as well.

TNA talent MVP took to Twitter while the Ring of Honor announcement was going on to complain about the TNA locker room having no knowledge about RoH TV being added to Destination America’s line-up. He also insinuated that this may be the end of TNA, by telling “promoters” to contact him for booking purposes. He writes,

“Ummmm…[Ring of Honor debuting on Destination America] at no time was TNA talent (that I’m aware of) notified of ROH airing on @DestAmerica . I’ll refrain from commenting until after “the call.” Classy. Yeah so ummm…PROMOTERS! BOOKMVPNOW@GMAIL.COM. 2 maybe 3 more years. Then I’m retiring. Ya gotta love the wrasslin’ biz!”

TNA star Rockstar Spud was scheduled to do press on May 27, but was told by TNA not to talk to anyone until after the conference call at 3 p.m. ET. WrestlingRumors.net will have more on what this conference call is all about around 3 p.m. ET, as the call is going on"

    ReplyDelete
  110. This all would be a lot of funner if this+LU was happening on Monday nights.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I agree. That library is much more valuable to ROH at this point than WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I wonder if Nikki Suseck is hot?

    ReplyDelete
  113. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 1:20 PM

Totally, the Network is a bigger distribution system than anything ROH has for archival stuff, which I guess would just be DVDs right? ROH would only be able to use a fraction of the tape library, while WWE could just throw every PPV and Impact up on the Network.

That said, I just wonder if ROH would see enough value in it to get involved. Remember, WWE only paid what, $2 million for WCW's library? They're gonna want TNA's library at a super low price.

Maybe if ROH sees value in the content and WWE sticks to a lowball offer, ROH ends up with it. Probably not, I agree, but maybe.

I thought about tweeting them because they are the worst, but I feared they would stalk and kill me.

When the TNA talent dials in to the conference call, I assume this is what they'll hear:

So who in ROH plays the Vince McMahon part when ROH simulcasts on the last episode of Impact?

I really wanna see AJ Styles start listing TNA wrestlers to keep or get rid of.

"Eric Young, thumbs up or down?"

    ReplyDelete
  128. WWE would just immediately throw out a number ROH can't match. It is a nice idea for ROH, but no way would they be desperate for it.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Lol, first post, I see on TNAMecca:

Good news for ROH, bad news for TNA.
TNA will not be a priority for DA anymore and ROH will benefit more from this than TNA.
Also if ROH offer an hour of fantastic wrestling, how is TNA going to compare coming on afterwards?
It sounds like talent did not know anything about this and you have to wonder if Dixie knew anything either?
Oh well at least AJ Styles will finally be on DA!

    ReplyDelete
  130. Apparently this ROH deal has been in the works for a while, before the TNA decision. Deal is for 26 episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I can't stop laughing at how fast this all happened.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Dixie on being asked what she is going to do about the possible cancellation and ROH being on DA: Well I'm gonna get my daddy to try and buy this ROH company everyone is talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  133. And everywhere else

    ReplyDelete
  134. The winner in all of this is AJ Styles obviously.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I really wonder if that dude's a cokehead.

    ReplyDelete
  136. It's quite ironic that all of the talent that made TNA what it is has moved to ROH and ROH is going to be the company that ends up taking TNA's TV spot.

    ReplyDelete
  137. It's just perfectly Dixie, between this and trying to hide Russo it really is just a case of what happens when a spoiled kid can't stop getting caught.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Everything in that quote has either been previously reported by legit people or just guesswork. Just seems like a random copy and paste site is reading between the lines.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Having tried to support them just to get kicked in the balls every time, tell me, how much are you loving this? lol

    ReplyDelete
  140. Observer Live just went over the deal:

ROH deal is to air the syndicated show. So essentially DA is syndicating the ROH weekly show nationally.

Deal has been in the works for months, but no one except three people in ROH knew about it.

No one in TNA had a clue.

This bad news for TNA. DA is getting ROH for a very modest price. Problem with DA and TNA is cost of investment vs. advertising revenue.

No one in ROH is sure what this means for Joe. Thought is he is prevented from being on nationally televised promotions. ROH has a plan with Joe and a plan without Joe going forward until they find out.

ROH deal if through the end of the year.

DA wants wrestling, just doesn't want TNA.

I wouldn't say that. I mean, anything is more valuable to WWE in the sense that WWE has much better channels to monetize content.

ROH can make DVDs, and distribute them via DVD channels that are much more limited than WWE's.

WWE can make DVDs AND use TNA as content on the Network.

To me though the question is whether ROH sees enough value to make a decent bid, because I can't imagine WWE can bring itself to spend very much on a TNA library considering how little they paid to own all of WCW's content.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Wasn't there a rumor about ROH and DA a few months ago but nobody paid too much attention because it seemed ridiculous? I vaguely recall something like that.

  145. Drop the "se" and I have a new command.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Vapid Twat, thank you very much.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Don't know, but a key here is DA gave zero indication to TNA that this was in negotiations or going down.

Tells you all you need to know about TNA's standing with the DA execs.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Joe is obviously George right?

    ReplyDelete
  149. He's getting banned with that sort of thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  150. DA: "YOU'RE FIRRRR...wait who the hell is this bitch? Get out of my office."

The entire wrestling world's mind is on that TNA conference call right now.

    ReplyDelete
  152. The wrestling world consists of 500 people?

    ReplyDelete
  153. Well, he's not wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Looks SUPER SMASHABLE

    ReplyDelete
  155. So if TNA goes under does EC3 get to keep the Ethan Carter III name?

He'd be the perfect leader of an invasion if so. If not, than not so much.

    ReplyDelete
  156. You didn't even have to paste a quote from the site to laugh at them

    ReplyDelete
  157. Coming in October:

"Wednesday Night is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING on Destination America.

First, at 8/7c, watch the stars of Ring of Honor battle it out, followed by Global Force Weekly bringing you the best in the wrestling world at 9/8c. Only on Destination America!"

(Dixie Carter turns off the TV, and breaks down into a crying fit. TNAMecca changes its name to GFWMecca, and no one else gives a shit. Except the superstitious.)

    ReplyDelete
  158. Another bad sign: DA canceled all the secondary TNA programming... and then brought in programming from another wrestling organization.

So yeah, DA wants to be in the 'rasslin business, just not in the TNA business.

    ReplyDelete
  159. The majority I assume want TNA to go out of business, though. They've ultimately had too many chances. It's time to die.

    ReplyDelete
  160. I'd assume ROH will start swooping up a handful of guys from TNA once it folds.

    ReplyDelete
  161. The entire world, minus the 99.9% who don't watch wrestling, let alone TNA.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Those people are a bit obsessed-- from the charmingly named #taryn'sbottombitch:
"It's mad how everyone seems to be behind ROH atm.
TNA got so much bloody heat for when they moved to DA.
DA explicitly said ROH then TNA on Wednesday nights yet these fools interpret that DA swapped TNA for ROH.
    Logic people!"
I get the impression they don't believe that TNA is gone in September...

    ReplyDelete
  163. I don't watch NXT live really, which show will be going up directly against it?

If it's not ROH this whole thing is pointless.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 1:38 PM

YUP, said the same thing. EC3 leading Storm and Roode as a heel stable into ROH after TNA goes under could actually be a really hot angle.

Maybe ROH will end up buying out the TNA content/IP in the firesale, and EC3 can keep the name.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Lol at "hard hitting Maria Kanellis". Seriously that made me laugh out loud.

    ReplyDelete
  166. She is so unbelievably hot

    ReplyDelete
  167. ROH officially the #2 promotion in the US now. Between Sinclair networks, DA, and free OnDemand episodes on the website, pretty much anyone who wants to watch it can at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  168. lolololol

Even more than their delusions, I enjoy how they think EVERYONE is watching and cares about TNA.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Well he says "the entire wrestling world's mind" as a disclaimer.

I'm all for piling on those dumb dumb's, but in this case...dude is totally not wrong, look at this place, the daily thread instantly died when the news came out.

    ReplyDelete
  170. And Jarrett's the one who brokered the deal for ROH and NJPW's talent sharing. CONSPIRACY!

  171. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 1:39 PM

Think it was a rumor about ROH negotiating to air monthly specials on Spike.

    ReplyDelete
  172. So will we get twitter results of the call I guess from talent?

    ReplyDelete
  173. In summary: http://i61.tinypic.com/4r2ej4.jpg

    ReplyDelete
  174. Well, she makes something hard...

    ReplyDelete
  175. I'm actually enjoying this. Fuck TNA. The company died a couple years ago when they got rid of all the talent that I and many others watched them for. Add that with no more big PPV events, stupid booking, and just overall pushing the wrong guys, they are getting what they deserve. I already watch ROH a few times a month so I'll just watch them regularly now because I get Destination America. It's just sad that a company like TNA that was beginning to start thriving in 2009 is finally dead 6 years later. Mistake after mistake after mistake. It's hard to support a company like that.

    ReplyDelete
  176. He blew all his $$$ somehow and I doubt it was just the crash last decade

    ReplyDelete
  177. True, I missed that bit.

But, it took TNA pretty much dying for anyone to pay attention to it.

    ReplyDelete
  178. My ideal TNA stable:

    EC3
    Roode
    Storm
    Magnus
Anderson (I can't imagine someone with more natural hatred from RoH fans)

    ReplyDelete
  179. Rockstar Spud, that's capital G, double O, double N, double E.... GOONNEE!

    ReplyDelete
  180. Roode just tweeted : "UNCLE!!!!!!"

    LOL

    ReplyDelete
  181. I can't even believe they're dumb enough to try to compete with Vince again, NXT is small sure but it's for exactly the diehards that would consider watching TNA in the first place.

    ReplyDelete
  182. FROM DAY ONE, BRO! FROM DAY ONE!

    ReplyDelete
  183. Also quarterly traditional PPVs as well as iPPVs.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Did he really? Haha

    ReplyDelete
  185. That is true, ROH wanted a deal with Spike where Spike aired the syndicated show and then instead of iPPVs, special shows aired exclusively on Spike, but Spike didn't bite.

  187. Worst_in_the_WorldMay 27, 2015 at 1:43 PM

Aries, EC3, Roode, and Storm all make sense to me for ROH. And Eddie Edwards too. OH, and definitely Drew Galloway.

I think it's a lock Jeff Hardy ends up back in WWE. They desperately need some new insta-over main eventers, and a new Jeff Hardy is yet another piece towards moving all those tickets for Mania 31.

Angle maybe gets a legends non-wrestling deal with WWE?

Spud, Brodus, Abyss, Eric Young etc are all probably shit outta luck.

    ReplyDelete
