Neville=King of the Jungle?

Hi Scott,
During the King Barrett-Neville match, my wife show me this picture. Telling me how much of Tarzan, Neville look and move like.

So Neville having won the KOTR, would they have call him the King of The Jungle?
Take Care.

WCW already did that gimmick.  It was called Jungle Jim Steele.  It was not good.

Comments

  1. I'm not sure I understand how Owens dropping two titles in less than a month would be good for him.

    ReplyDelete
  2. "a moo point"
    HE'S FAT.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I think they're booking Owens on the fly right now so it is anyone's guess where he ends up. I can it see both ways.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Neville is a gnome.

    ReplyDelete
  5. YOURE NOT THE JUNGLE YOURE MIGHTY MOUSE GODDAMMIT NOW WEAR THIS CAPE AND GO SAVE THE DAY PAL!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I thought a moo point was a cow's opinion?

The Cena match can't have a finish basically. So either you'll get a fuck finish or a big angle is coming down the pike.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yeah, I also don't see the point of turning the best heel on their roster right now.

What they NEED to do is have him go full heel at NXT Special. Have Zayn almost pull out the win, and then have Owens DESTROY him with a chair.

Then he could take the mic and say something like "I came here saying that I was doing everything for my family -- to make a better life for them. I did that to make all of these idiots believe that I had some altruistic motive so I could sell t-shirts, and maybe get some cheers. But the simple fact is, I've been kicking your ass because I hate your f****** guts!"

Zayn could get the time he needs to fully recover until they have the FINAL blowout in a ladder war a few months down the line, where Zayn wins, and Joe destroys him.

The Joe feud could have a newly-turned Owens (Zayn and Owens could do the "show of respect" thing after Zayn wins the ladder match) giving Zayn advice because it seems like everyone walks all over Zayn whether he has the belt or not (But do we trust him? Or is he another Jake the Snake?)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Your moo point is so cool that it's actually fresian.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Not keen on Owens turning face. He's the best heel going right now.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Anyone see HHH's comments on Samoa Joe today? I really hope he is lying to cover the surprise.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Thanks Scott, I'm tired of being the only Otter here making Friends references. Now about a Scott Sez reposting of the Friends DVD rants?

    ReplyDelete
  13. (And, yes, you wrestling nerds, I know the "hate your f***** guts" thing is exactly how he turned on Generico in 2009, but.... shut up!)

    ReplyDelete
  14. MITB is right after Elimination Chamber? It's going to be a rough month for Dolph Ziggler.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Steen is a busier, Brock is a force of nature, why the fuck does everyone keep comparing them?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Neville briefly used the ring name Jungle Pac

    ReplyDelete
  17. My ideal scenario is Owens destroys Sami all during the match but loses on a fluke roll up. He goes nuts and takes Sami out after the match. On TV, Regal declares the title vacant and Owens gets it back in a tournament or whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  18. We do need a guy who wears jungle-print trunks while he wrestles, though.

    ReplyDelete
  19. That would work, too. But Owens is too good of a heel -- he needs to go "full asshole", not turn face after such a short time.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think they can both be described as bruisers, it's not outrageous to compare them

    ReplyDelete
  21. Because the are delusional and see Owens as the same level as Brock. I don't care how great he is as a heel, Owens is not anywhere near as physically imposing as Brock. In fact,, I think it will be an eye opener when Owens goes to the main roster and isn't the biggest guy in the room and doesn't have Zayn bumping like a pinball for him.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Him powerbombing Cena looked believable enough.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It's not an insult that Owens isn't in Lesnars league. No one is.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yes, Owens powerbombing Lesnar would look comical at best.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Even at his most "monster" like phase of ROH, he has never been presented like Brock is now. they occupy wholly different roles on the roster. Face Steen is a bar brawler and Heel Steen is a brutal Sadist in the ring. he isn't stronger, faster, and a better roster than anyone else (Brock is)-- he's just meaner than everyone else.

    ReplyDelete
  26. How would that look comical?

    ReplyDelete
  27. WWE used to be a barren wasteland for months after Mania. This year has been great!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Kevin Owens is a wrestler. Brock Lesnar is legit not even a real human being.

    ReplyDelete
  29. So anything Brock does in the ring looks comical?

    ReplyDelete
  30. No, Owens manhandling Lesnar and powerbombing him would look comical, to me. Every in ring talent signed by WWE is a wrestler, except for Lesnar. They've booked him bigger than the company and in truth he legit his.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm pretty sure Chuck Palumbo's original WCWSN gimmick, before he 'officially' debuted on Nitro as a Lex Luger rip-off, was a Tarzan-like 'jungle man' gimmick.

    ReplyDelete
  32. So Brock can't bump? Did him getting curb stomped looked comical?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Slow day on the blog huh...

    ReplyDelete
  34. Heel Steen was a guy who just wanted to hurt his opponent any way possible. It was a great character.

He actually had a Hell of a brief feud with Jay Lethal of all people.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Moving the barren wasteland to January's worked out well.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think you mistook what I said. Lesnar being "injuried" by a powerbomb or curb stomp would look comical to me. He sells great, but selling enough to have his shoulders pinned to a wrestling mat for longer than 2.5 seconds would look dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yeah not sure why that is but you're factual in your statement.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Brock is one of the best bumpers of all time. He makes everything he does look great. A Brock/Owens match would have no problems.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yes, it would be a great match, a match that Lesnar should win. Hard fought, brusing but a win for Lesnar nonetheless.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I was there for the feud with Lethal. A lot of people thought Lethal was gonna win the title. Some thought they missed their chance.

I disagree, NOW is the time to pull the trigger on Lethal--he isn't getting any hotter than right this moment and you could feel the anticipation for his challenge in the air at Ted Reeve this passed weekend

    ReplyDelete
  41. It's a work. The only thing that should determine who wins a match is the storyline.

    ReplyDelete
  42. The easy fix? Owens powerbombs Brock. Brock staggers up. Owens powerbombs him again. Brock barely gets up. Owens clotheslines the fuck out of Brock. 2.5 count.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Lets be clear, I think Owens should be at the top of the card, winning world titles and murderizing Cena. But Steen does it through cruelty, not domination.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Exactly. So Steen would have to hit him with ten powerbombs.

He can do that, if he was to win. Hell, pull out a package piledriver if you're that desperate to not have Brock job to an infinity number of powerbombs

    ReplyDelete
  45. It's also worth noting that AA-AA-Curb Stomp at the Rumble was one of the best booked 2.5 counts of all time.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Steen goes for powerbomb #3, Brock counters with an armbar.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Would get an awesome pop. I think Owens vs Lesnar could be GREAT

Comical was a really poor word choice. Most things in wrestling are "comical" compared to a real fight. Ever seen an irish whip?

    ReplyDelete
  48. upvoted for hotness of avatar

    ReplyDelete
  49. Only because he cheap shotted Cena to set it up. On any equal means, I think Owens still has to get less fat or it gets silly.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yes, I know it's a work but we're talking about Brock Lesnar here. They've booked him so strong that he's above every wrestler in the company. Him losing to anyone is near not believable. They need to book the best finish ever for him to lose.

    ReplyDelete
  51. my guess too, if Joe is supposed to be a surprise, no point in telling everyone about it the day before

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yeah, comical was kinda a troll word, my bad. Owens and Lesnar would be great but right now we are no where near Owens in the level stratosphere as Lesnar yet. That's why I choose the word comical.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Then you haven't seen much wrestling. Fat guys have fought believably in wrestling forever. Es[pecially since it should take 0.5 seconds to realize wrestling looks cartoony as fuck.

Seriously, I think Everything Cena does looks silly (turn to face the camera side!) That has nothing to do with "credibility " in a wrestling ring

    ReplyDelete
  54. Mankind certainly wasn't winning any Jesse the Body awards.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Whoever beats him needs to hit at least three consecutive finishers. Bryan and his protected Knee would have been perfect. Big Knee, Brock sits up, Another, Brock sits up, ANOTHER, 2.5 count.

Then Bryan either Knees him again or debuts a new move and David slays Goliath. Injuries to Bryan leave me with no idea who the best candidate to beat Brock clean is

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oh god no, I wouldn't book them against each other anytime soon, it just seemed like an odd objection.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Cena throws Owens into the ropes, Owens rebounds, ducks a clothesline, comes off the opposite ropes, hits a running back elbow smash. Owens is now controlling the offense.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I think we've all been championing a super finisher for certain wrestlers for a while. Maybe one they'll jump on board.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I think they were halfway through booking a perfect finish to beat Lesnar with Reigns. He's busted open, Reigns hits him with like five combined Superman punch/spears...I think the finish needs to be someone doing all that, then busting out a new, megafinish.

    ReplyDelete
  60. You really don't like him, do you?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Mankind was never portrayed as a world beating ass kicker.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Excuse me, this gimmick was already done but it was done by JOE GOMEZ!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. No, but he at least got his share of the offense against Austin, Rock, Undertaker, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  64. He's not the biggest guy in the room in NXT even, it's his attitude and intensity that sell how dangerous he is.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Steen is ten times the in ring worker Mick Foley ever was. Steen is an ass kicker the way terry Funk is a scary customer. He's not supposed to be Brock Lesnar.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yeah, but people are acting like Steen should be booked as dominant against Brock as he would Sami and that is absurd.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I like Owens, less than most of you probably, just saying I think he has to get in better shape still.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Only idiots are suggesting that

    ReplyDelete
  69. 10 times the worker as Foley?? Really? Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  70. No wait, I just read more closely, who THE FUCK has suggested that. Show me one comment that says Steen should manhandle Brock.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Yeah I haven't read that anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yes Really, Folley never had matches the quality Steen did without hardcore gimmicks

    ReplyDelete
  73. I don't think anyone can beat Barbaro Cavernario in CMLL : http://www.catch-arena.com/photos/catcheurs/el-barbaro-cavernario/el-barbaro-cavernario-get-1414720726.jpg PS : he is in this year NJPW Super Juniors Tournament

    ReplyDelete
  74. If he gets in better shape, he'll just be a short guy.

I think he NEEDS the gut, it's what makes him stand out--Skinny Steen looked like a dork.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Also, he's basically a super-babyface now, so I'm not sure you need to come up with a clean finish to beat him any time soon.

    ReplyDelete
  76. As long as they aren't wrestling each other or back-to-back, there's not problem anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Oh, yeah I don't see Brock jobbing clean till at least Mania 32 now.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Owens-Lesnar only works if it's Brock doing the murderizing.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Haha, my friend taped the prior PPV and I watched it in my room. I may have... over-used... the "Stop-Motion" feature of my VHS player when Debra did the striptease.

The car crash nature of these shows is rather amusing, even if a lot of the angles led to nothing (a Russo hallmark). Watching lame duck acts like Mark Henry and The Godfather actually get some reactions with goofy midcard gimmicks is one of Russo's strong suits.

The use of The Brood as JTTS guys is odd, but then they WERE very new to the business, and a bit undersized (especially Christian, who was skinny in addition to short). I guess the bookers noticed they were over regardless of how many times they jobbed, so as long as they had that bitchin' entrance, they were good. A good sign of how being de-pushed early on can't actually hurt a GOOD wrestler in the long run.

    ReplyDelete
  80. This is where having all of these losers kick out of the AA becomes a problem. Owens could've done it here to really put him over when everyone else in the open challenge couldn't and he could still take a loss to Cena and look good.

    ReplyDelete
  81. "would Owens' physical style make Brock feel a little less special?"

    LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  82. My best friend says "mute point" and wouldn't hear of it actually being "moot point." Not that arguments from authority are inherently correct, but as someone who majored in English and writes for a living, he probably ought to at least consider that I'm right and at least look it up.

    ReplyDelete
  83. And his hardcore matches may well be better to be honest. I'd put Steen vs Generico at FB 2010 against anything Foley ever did. Throwing yourself of a cell is a hell of a moment, but basically un-rateable as a match. Steen can make people beleive he's dangerous in a way Foley couldn't.

    ReplyDelete
  84. That actually looks more like Daniel Bryan without the beard.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Truly, I'm arguing for Steen below and this Email is retarded.

Steen isn't on the same planet as Lesnar

    ReplyDelete
  86. I love Owens, but I'll wait to see him do it on the big stage before I compare him to someone who's already done it all, hardcore gimmicks or not.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Yeah, agreed. Owens offense would have to be opertunistic.

The match should really be no-dq too. That's what helped Punk pull it off

    ReplyDelete
  88. Talent is talent, and success is success.

One does not necessarily predict the other.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Ok, Cactus Jack then.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I agree. At NXT they have Owens take out Zayn before the match so he either beats an incredibly beaten up Zayn or a replacement the have him go toe to toe with Cena, Kick out of the AA and power out of the ShittyTF then Zayn costs him the match

    ReplyDelete
  91. I'm not saying there isn't room for both of them, just that they can be compared in terms of legit fighter vibes and demeanour and even on the mic. Obviously Brock is something else entirely, but I could see why they'd remind someone of each other

    ReplyDelete
  92. He's also a pretty great athlete and good pro wrestler.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Yeah I'm not saying that at all

    ReplyDelete
  94. New theme song:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_r0n9Dv6XnY

    ReplyDelete
  95. This is a silly opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Exactly. Either way he needs to power out of the STF before jobbing because I don't think it's a good idea for Cena to drop it yet either. I think he should keep it warm for awhile for Neville.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Sami Zayn was cleared.

    ReplyDelete
  98. It's pro wrestling, they can always dial up a "win for the ages" if the person doing the upset is popular.

    ReplyDelete
  99. That's actually kind of insane to think about because TME did 33 million viewers. Only big awards shows and the Super Bowl do that these days.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Also, the bigger question is, did Vince actually stab Hennig in the back somehow? Or was it a case of Lloyds of London reading too much into an angle that was always designed to be a swerve?

    ReplyDelete
  101. It's assumed, but never confirmed from what I gather. Perfect taking a pretty good bump to sell an injury the night he cost Mero the title was a dumb move to do when anyone could use that as evidence his crippling back injury wasn't too crippling.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Totally agree. But in talking about the quality of Steen's matches, that's a gauge of "success" in and of itself. It's hard enough to draw the line between the two in wrestling, so that's what my line is: do it on the biggest possible stage before I compare you to someone who already has.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Jungle Jim looked pretty good when 911 chokeslammed him a bunch of times.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Neidhart was probably desperate for a paycheck and Vince wanted to make a goof out of him.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I mean Russo was probably right since like you said Cornette's old school approach wasn't going to beat the nWo. Even going back to that Livewire that has Cornette and Russo on there. Russo just comes across as annoying as fuck. I actually like Russo probably more than anyone on the internet but man everything I've ever heard about Vince McMahon its a miracle that guy was even hired into the company let alone got where he did.

    ReplyDelete
  106. 1996 is a fascinating year. So many long-time WWF guys up and bailing for reasons that are still debated and unconfirmed.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Part rib on hogan part of the jobber initiative. Give them names and gimmicks and use them as enhancement. Jim neidhart isn't damaged by it so when he's released he still has some value and they get their extra jobber slot filled

Even as a kid I knew who who was though

    ReplyDelete
  108. Boring as fuck but you're right he's an incredible athlete. I'm not sure if I would call him a pro wrestler in the sense of having psychology and building a match and getting people to give a fuck about his matches but he's a great athlete and he can do tremendous spots no doubt about it.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Insane as those guys were, I still think Jimmy Snuka is the godfather (no, not that one) of crazy promos. Nutty as could be.

    ReplyDelete
  110. "Would the Stone Cold Stunner make the Chartbuster less special?"

I mean, it's that silly. Nothing can make the Chartbuster less awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Even so, they've put themselves in a stupid situation. Neither Zayn nor Owens should lose, and a fuck finish isn't suited for NXT specials outside of rare exceptions (like with Cena who isn't a member of the roster). Pushing Zayn off to the side temporarily is best.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Pulling out the edumacation all of the sudden... smh.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Do they normally burn gnomes?

    ReplyDelete
  114. Hennig making a return in 2002 was one of those "I'm surprised Vince is welcoming him back" moves, but then we did get the return of Hulk, Nash and Hall a few weeks later, so I guess he was feeling like mending old fences.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I disagree. This whole thing has been built around them. The issue between Cena and Owens is just a bonus.

    ReplyDelete
  116. It took Zayn forever to win the belt. He failed multiple times in the lead-up. He then lost the belt in his first defense. If he loses, his character looks like someone who consistently chokes in big situations.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I'll bet on some classic NWA horrendous, shitty cheating for heat. Owens is about to get brutal.

    ReplyDelete
  118. You and your degree are hillbillies. This is a blog of learned WWE fans.

    ReplyDelete
  119. He's a better bumper than a seller.

Like, him just eating shit at 100% is pretty cool, but it's not like he's as good as selling an injury like Punk or HBK were.

    ReplyDelete
  120. You can lose and not look like some geek loser who chokes. Austin lost a ton of big matches in 96/97. It's all in the execution.

    ReplyDelete
  121. The only moo points I want to hear about are on the PRIME MOO MATCH OF THE WEEK, DADDEH!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Because Steen used the F-5?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Plus, Zayn's character is such that losing not only doesn't hurt him, it can help, in a way.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Fat and skinny aren't the only options. I think he can realistically look like an Anderson and be credible.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Eh, losing some weight would probably be good for his long-term health.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I think Sami will be similar to Bryan. The more they get fucked over/lose, the more rabid fans get behind them.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Foley/HBK at Mind Games and Foley/Austin at Over the Edge is better than any of Steen's non-hardcore or comedy matches, and Foley/HHH at RR 2000 and Foley/Orton at Backlash 2004 is better than any hardcore match Steen has wrestled. Steen is good, but Foley is better.

    ReplyDelete
  128. This night was also the start of the AWESOME month of Disneyworld Nitros, which provided fresh, unique visuals compared to the shitty blacked out arenas WWF was hitting at this same time.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Yep. It's a comparison that keeps getting made for a reason. On paper, you'd think he has the potential to be an even better version: better talker, probably five inches taller, has his own crowd interaction thing already built in, close enough in workrate.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Not sure Owens would ever get that popular.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I love that last sentence.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I'm looking forward to seeing what the gate receipts were for the NXT shows. I hope the talent got a good cut because their NXT wages are shit otherwise

    ReplyDelete
  133. Adam "Colorado" CurryMay 19, 2015 at 4:02 PM

    I wouldn't even call HITC2 a match at all.

    ReplyDelete
  134. That does a huge disservice to the match. It wasn't just a bump off the top of the cell.

    ReplyDelete
  135. "Foley/Orton at Backlash 2004 is better than any hardcore match Steen has wrestled."

Hell no. We're just gonna have to disagree, I think that is madness. Final Battle 2010 is ***** without question to me.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Foley/Orton is *****.

    ReplyDelete
  137. He was never going to be Mighty Mouse. He's too short

    ReplyDelete
  138. Mostly in deleware

    ReplyDelete
  139. R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.May 19, 2015 at 4:08 PM

We should probably not let the Full Sail crowd decide who the faces and heels are.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Doesn't break when hit by a stiff wind.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I know it's not politically correct to call someone a bix nood, but between Ron Simmons and Ahmed... Kinda hard to find a better description.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Irony -- we get the third man in WCW and the WWF buries the Warrior. Ironic because Vince was hyping Warrior as the guy that put Hogan and Savage out to pasture and the night one of those men aligns themselves with Hall and Nash and Warrior is jobbed out. Again it happened by accident, much like the Austin/McMahon handshake representing the end of the Monday Night War - but Warrior gets buried with Vince thinking he'd play ball. He thought Hogan would play ball in 1993, keeping him alive until Lex Luger stepped off that chopper and then he was dead.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Adam "Colorado" CurryMay 19, 2015 at 4:15 PM

Yes, there was also one through the cell.

    ReplyDelete
  144. He jobbed several times in 1996 - including the infamous ECW match at Mind Games. I remember someone joking about the AWF invading WWF in 1996. Tito Santana spit Geritol in Savio Vega's face. Is this the start of the rumored AWF/WWF feud?

    ReplyDelete
  145. Adam "Colorado" CurryMay 19, 2015 at 4:21 PM

I don't get the Brock-Owens comparison. Brock is a superhuman freak of nature with a legit MMA background to back up all of Heyman's talk, Steen is more like Tank Abbott. If Abbott could actually work, talk, and get over.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Watching Henning's TNA promos now are scary. I'm shocked he didn't explode there and then. And while I used to like cutting edge ECW type shoot comments - the beating up Brock Lesnar at 40,000 feet was sad. Or his joke about sending Lesnar to get him beer.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Adam "Colorado" CurryMay 19, 2015 at 4:22 PM

That's about the only thing they have in common.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Russo also was good at working with a totally decimated roster. He kinda lost his ability to take a midcarder and find a starmaking character for them after 99 though.

    ReplyDelete
  149. They buried Curt after the rumble anyway

    ReplyDelete
  150. Not funny. He did die in Jan 2003. So they literally could have buried him after the Royal Rumble.

    ReplyDelete
  151. "OH MY GOD JUST END THIS MATCH." used for a match rated *1/2?

Somebody needs to watch some Southern States Wrestling to put things into perspective.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Who (no, not Neidhart) thought 14 minutes of Savio Vega vs Bradshaw was ever a good idea?

    ReplyDelete
  153. But we saw in WCW that he does have a price.

    ReplyDelete
  154. WCW already did that gimmick. It was called Jungle Jim Steele. It was not good.

He was no Joe Gomez. But that's probably too high of a bar.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I had thought it was Evad Sullivan under the mask, because of the red & yellow, and the fatness.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I didn't realize Austin was missing until the announcers mentioned it. Weird how Mankind and Rock grew into carrying the show for a couple of weeks. Bravo on both of them

    ReplyDelete
  157. Maybe Tamina Snuka is related to someone like that.

    ReplyDelete
  158. ...do...you not watch the product?

I'm pretty sure the "Neville is a brainless high flyer" myth has been dispelled literally years ago.

His character isn't as detailed as Zayn's, as complex as Owens or as charismatic as Balor's, but he still performs it admirably well. In NXT, he's the Perfect Champion. He's clever without being a cheater, he's got killer instincts without being a sadist, he's fast without being frail and he's brave without being an idiot. He's a freak athlete without psychological issues. Now, we'll see what happens on the main-roster where every character is flattened out, but watch him sell his leg on Raw. That's brilliant pro wrestling.

And while he's not amazing on the mic, he's not a corpse either. He does a serviceable job when cutting promos.

  159. I never said he was a brainless high flier he really doesn't fly much actually compared to the cruiser weights of yesterday year and that's not a bad thing. You're comparing his work on the indies and NXT from what he's done on the main roster he hasn't been all that thrilling. You clearly really like the guy though. His mic work has been pretty bad so far though. And he doesn't have a character at all yet in the ring or out. But you really dig the guy and I'm sure it's upsetting to hear that he's not that impressive. Seems like a fairly talented guy though in ring wise
