Kurt Angle vs. EC3 will take place on the 7/1 edition of TNA Impact as there was no way could tape episodes that would air after the PPV without spoiling their plans. The company is working on a new main event that will not involve the TNA World Title.

  8. This news update is missing the only news update that matters today, how's the lady doing?

  9. Wishing a speedy recovery!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Except Bryan who might be retired.

And BNB who's an obsolete gimmick.

Shawn Michaels has been retired for 5 years, he's been in every game. And Barrett is still main roster, he was going to be in the game no matter what.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I read in yesterday's thread that someone told you to use ice packs. Did you earn the right to use those? How many car accidents have you even been in?

Did you at least dive on your woman to protect her?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well I meant Bryan's a likely candidate to be Edge'd and be a last minute "Legend."

And Barrett is like Cody Rhodes in every other game where his gimmick is obsolete and you have to awkwardly use him until someone makes a Stardust CAW.

    Not a great start,

So as mentioned in the other thread, the Network dropped about a dozen eps of Prime Time on us, and there is a guy on Reddit saying that the remaining episode of Hulk Hogan's Rock n Wrestling should be up later in the week.

Do you really, unnaturally, like dogs?

  87. I got your ice pack RIGHT HERE, pal!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Happy birthday all month long!

Now get out of my hair!

    ReplyDelete
  89. TNA should have their taping schedule set up so that isn't a problem. Why are they taping TV for after the PPV before the PPV?

    ReplyDelete
  90. ... it's because she's not married.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Because fuck you, that's why!

    And LOLTNA

    ReplyDelete
  92. I think them being switched from Fridays to Wednesdays threw off their taping schedule because they panned to have a live show on that Friday before Slammiversary then ape right after it.

    Basically, I have no idea.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Isn't the PPV (and my birthday) in 12 days? And the shows are already taped. And somehow they're "working" on a new PPV main event?

    ReplyDelete
  94. As a journalist, I can authoritatively declare that the correct answer to all three questions is "no comment".

    ReplyDelete
  95. This survey outcome was rather disappointing, but because of everything you do around here, you get me.

    Congratulations.

As long as I don't have to lie on your balls.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Staying ahead of the curve!

Or in this case about to jump over it

    ReplyDelete
  97. I mean, Ring of Honor has one episode in the can that will go on the Wednesday after Best in the World this weekend because of the funky Japan schedule, but its a showcase episode with Nakamura vs Strong and Bullet Club vs Chaos.

Nothing that is effected by the PPV results, and the episode after that will be up to date on the PPV results.

    ReplyDelete
  98. This whole TNA is kinda odd. They're still planning PPVs despite going out of business in a few months. It would be like WCW being told they're going out of business in December around Starrcade 2000 and still acting like they matter.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Soooooooooooo, why is the WWE going with Rollins/Lesnar at Battleground instead of SummeeSlam?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Slammiversary is live on the 28th. They are taping the post-Slammiversary shows on the 25th-27th. They have the Slammiversary go home show Live on the 24th.

    Must be desperate for subscriptions.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Maybe they’ve decided that Summerslam as a big show might sell itself
    but Battleground needs help

    ReplyDelete
  108. Ah right okay

    ReplyDelete
  109. Six month subscriptions that came in for the Rumble coming off the books?

    ReplyDelete
  110. It seems like everything would be on pace for a great SummerSlam if there wasn't an extra PPV between now and then. Brock/Rollins, Owens/Cena III, Sheamus/Orton would be a fine upper card for SS.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Everything but Mania, SummerSlam and the Rumble needs help

    ReplyDelete
  112. I thought they got rid of the six month subscription thing

    ReplyDelete
  113. MGK needs to learn to take a bump

And Dunn once again missed the shot

    ReplyDelete
  114. I've heard that your theory of the switch to Wednesday is correct. Basically, TNA had planned on moving to Thursdays, but DA didn't give them much (read: NONE) notice before the move, so their stuff was taped talking about a couple days away (from Friday) as opposed to where they are now.

This is the danger of taping so far in advance.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Meh on Sheamus/Orton

    ReplyDelete
  116. They did but I think that was in Feb or March right?

    ReplyDelete
  119. I hope he has insurance!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Might have been

    ReplyDelete
  121. What's awesome about KO's promo is that it was a goddamn shoot, just like we were all saying the night before. Cena only respects you when you lose, and somehow you only belong when he beats you.

Now that it's pretty pretty established that Cena the character is an extension of Cena the man, and based on what we've seen on Total Divas and heard from others, I think we're well past the point of saying that Cena the person is a good guy, and instead embrace the fact that Cena is in fact more of a self-centered douchebag.

    ReplyDelete
  122. By the holidays

    ReplyDelete
  123. It won't get much love here, but both of those guys are pretty over. It'll get a good reaction live when Orton wins. And Orton seems to bring it when he's getting a nice win.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Orton and Sheamus have no chemistry

  126. I think they shot it in a way to cover the fact that it was clearly a crash pad and a pretty comfy landing. But I'd be pissed if I were Owens about the way he just got up and walked out with only a little help from his crew. That has to be a stretcher job.

  144. He got selling lessons from his buddy John Cena. I fully expect MGK to sprint to the ring next week.

    ReplyDelete
  145. That's one of my favourite things ever on the BoD

    ReplyDelete
  146. Nothing will happen because MLB loves the Cardinals

    ReplyDelete
  147. They really need to start working better with bringing on lower card guys on RAW to lose to the established guys. They jobbed Orton and Sheamus (YOUR Money in the Bank winner) last night.

Since these matches don't mean anything anyway, why not just give Dean a match against Heath Slater or something, give him a simple win. Let Orton beat an Adam Rose or something, and then further his feud with Sheamus with a run in or something. Don't beat these guys over and over again.

It is amazing how bad they treat their wrestlers. Before they were treated as larger than life SUPERSTARS. Today, I feel like that a Joe Nobody like me could roll up Sheamus for a win if someone distracts him.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Happy birthday to Tater!

*There's more of me than you."

    ReplyDelete
  149. Why are they even bothering with a ppv? Do they even spend any money advertising them? Just pull out (that's what she said).

    ReplyDelete
  150. I think that describes every Blackhawks fan before 2008

    ReplyDelete
  151. Randy Orton gets the weirdest reactions. In the arena, he gets arguably the best babyface pops in the company (even got Randy chants last night) so it's justifiable you put him in the main event. Yet when he is, the fan interest just torpedoes.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  159. I had a dream last night that I was talking to Daniel Bryan and asking him how he was. And we somehow got on the topic of NXT and I told him how awesome the NXT Divas were doing. I referred to them as the Four Horsewomen and he got a little annoyed like I had I tried to act like a part of THIS BUSINESS or something and told me I should instead refer to them by their initials. (Yes, he said initials instead of names).

Then I realized that I was late for a class that we all had to go to, and when I left the building I realized I was on the other side of my college campus (but not really) that I didn't recognize, and I decided that I could lie and say I had a prior commitment. Then I woke up and realized I should probably get ready for work.

  174. NXT really benefits from having some job guys around. I feel like USA has a lot to do with this, unfortunately. They won't allow a bunch of squashes because it will tank ratings, not realizing how short-sighted that is.

I agree. The way MGK was just standing there, looking like a douchebag. He earned that ass-kicking.

So the last we saw Brock, Stephanie McMahon proclaimed that she "owned his ass." Next we see brock, he's allowed back because HHH/Steph allowed him to come back.

Brock didn't do anything cool, there was no obstacle he overcame--- the heels just let him come back. I mean come on, how fucking brain dead is the creative (Vince/Steph/HHH) in this company? You can't do anything interesting for your #1 main event angle?

And would it have killed them for The Authority to have been somewhat in a position of Weakness here? Basically the point of this angle is that HHH/Steph are above everyone once again. Bigger than the chump babyfaces, bigger than their latest chump heel champion.

  179. Donald Trump has officially announced that he's running for President. I'll vote for him because I liked the building Mania IV & V was in and I was there for Mania 23 when he shaved Vince bald.

  180. If ever there was proof you don't need to be smart to be rich, Donald Trump's presidential candidacy speech right now is amazing

  182. I get that, but hating a team that hasn't won since 1908 seems a bit much

  183. He should have F-5'ed Stephanie last night and broke HHH's arm again.

Then he should have scrunched Michael Cole up and dribbled him around Cleveland like a basketball.

  186. Here's how important musical guests on Raw are to me:

I watched Raw after the fact (which according to Cult is a no-no and wrestling should always be watched live and never on tape delay), and I chose to watch the Dusty vid package again all the way through, even though I saw it the night before and can jump online and see it any time, while still FF'ing through MGK till I saw KO come out.

Seriously, I don't see how the musical guests bring new eyes to them. Chances are the fans of the musical guests are already wrestling fans, or have made up their minds and don't care about wrestling. There's no middle ground where someone's on the fence. It's a waste of money.

Back in the day when TV exposure was limited, it was a big deal to see celebrities at WWF events. That was the point, to draw news eyes to the WWF. And they were celebrities people actually cared about, not Hoda, and the Entourage B-Team. Today in the world of instant media, the shine has lost its luster.
