BoD Saturday Thread

Because people are awake on the weekends also.

Did you hear Bob Costas rip Pedro Strop to shreds last night?

  1. Per reports: On Celtics wanting to trade into the Hornets spot to grab Justise Winslow...

    "According to sources,
the Celtics' final offer to the Hornets was a package featuring as many
as six draft picks, including four potential first-round selections (a
combination of picks from this draft and in the future). But the Hornets
could not be swayed and turned down multiple offers to select Wisconsin
    center Frank Kaminsky."

Wow. Kaminsky better pan out. All I can say about that.

  5. I'm looking forward to the day when this becomes a non-issue and people just go about their business. Plenty of important things to move onto now other than kicking a dead horse.

  11. What did Pedro Strop ever do to Costas?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Aye. Important things, like, let's see.... a sports commentator saying something a bit over the top. I think normal service is being resumed.

  14. A friend of my one of my FB friends is one of those stereotypical Obama-bashing, Confederate flag supporting, gun waving hicks who compared gay marriage to some shit about Japanese people making others step on a stone to determine if they were Christian, and if they didn't, they assumed they were and hauled them off to be burned or some shit.

In reply, I posted the clip of Bender's "Oh wait you're serious, let me laugh even harder." These outrages just make this stuff so much sweeter. I bet he cries every night while posting on a message board dedicated to Cooter from Dukes of Hazzard.

  19. Well I'm a fool and this goddamn parade isn't until tomorrow, which would pose no problem except I already booked a hotel down here because I figured I'd be too drunk to drive.

I did ask a Boy Scout troop leader of they were here for Pride though, he was not amused.

  24. What is the process of divesting yourself from the fandom of a sports team? Is there a legitimate way to do it without being a bandwagon jumper, or once you're in you're 'in' for life?

I never understood this concept. For a lot of people(including myself),a sports team is like a close family member, its a hugely important part of your life and your identity and memories. How can people just break away from it like that?

A family member that mentally and emotionally abuses you for years on end.
