Mitb booked into a corner

MITB this weekend seems pretty stuck in terms of booking. Reigns wins the contract (even though he doesn't need it) then cashes in and a) goes heel on ambrose or b) returns the favor to rollins. There just doesn't seem to be anything else.

Also, doesn't Cena need to win here? Screwjob?

Then again rollins wins and reigns doesn't cash in ignoring the last month because reasons.

I'm pretty sure Reigns gets the biggest foregone conclusion briefcase ever, but on the bright side at least he won't choke this time!

I also agree that the Cena-Owens match probably ends in some sort of screwjob non-finish.  They went back to it WAY too early and it doesn't feel like there's any real momentum behind the rematch yet.

  1. They HAVE to put Owens over clean again. It's the only way the quick rematch makes sense. They're on the verge of making Owens a big deal - beating Cena clean twice in a month would do it and set up a MEGA 3rd match at SummerSlam where Cena HAS to win but there would be enough doubt that Owens owns Cena.

    In short: MAKE A STAR!

  2. o/t: RIP Dusty Rhodes

  3. I hope Reigns doesn't win, or loses the briefcase. I'd like someone to not have their first world title win be a MITB cash in, I can't remember the last time it happened.

  4. Think it was Mark Henry in 2011, if we're not counting his ECW title as a World championship.

Reigns is 100% winning with the current scrubs in the match.

Neither of those titles is a real World Championship. The WHC was the modern IC Title. The bogus ECW Title was like... the WCW International Board of Directors Title.

How about Sheamus winning his first WWE Title when John Cena basically slipped off the top rope and fell through a table. What a great moment.

They made a star. Cena beats Owens on Sunday and they have a rubber match.
