WWE: Kevin Owens delivers stunning upset to John Cena at Elimination Chamber 2015 in a show-stealing classic match

Comments

  1. Man, Cena is the greatest worker ever! Owens, Lesnar, Bryan, Punk, HBK...this guy can have a great match with ANYONE!

  2. You're an idiot, and yes, I know you're being sarcastic.

    ReplyDelete
  3. If an idiot insults someone, that cancels out to a compliment. So thanks.

  4. WWE has to do over with the big taking out everybody lets see we seen it with wcw with Goldberg then wwe lesnar and khali and then rusev and now Owens boring get a new thing to do

    ReplyDelete
  5. You couldn't have said it any better than that.

  6. Why do I bother paying for their shitty ass Network if every month is going to be free for new subscribers? I am obviously the world's dumbest person since I have paid for every single one of WWE Network's free months so far.

    ReplyDelete
  7. June will be free? Woohoo!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Because those new subscribers only get one month free, and then they have to start paying for the rest? Just a thought. :)

  9. I loved the dusty finish that Ambrose and Rollins did. Teasing an Ambrose championship win was awesome for the same reason it was awesome when they did it back with Jericho in 2000.

  10. You are being sarcastic of course but you have a point.

While Cena has had his best matches against some of the great workers it is his star power and the reactions he generates that turn these matches into absolute show stoppers.

The guy is very capable in the ring himself. "You can't wrestle" became a ridiculous chant a long time ago.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Eh...

He can't wrestle as in he's a poor bumper and he's stiff and awkward looking in the ring.

But the motherfucker is an aces professional wrestler.

    ReplyDelete
  12. If you are a big guy with round about 6 feet... then a lot has happened in the wrestling business. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Because those new email addresses only get one month free, and then they have to start paying for the rest, unless they stop and WWE sends them an offer of a month free to come back? Just a thought. :)

    FIFY. :)

  14. This is going to sound cliche but wrestling "size" has a lot more to do with the wrestlers poise than their actual height.

Like, Finn Balor is sub-six feet but he comes across as larger than life. Than you have dudes like Wade Barrett who seem around the same size as Cena.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Actually Wade Barrett is even much bigger (or taller) than Cena. But in NXT there are many small dudes, so that they usually are looking bigger than they actually are.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Been on the job for 20 years and Russo's still clueless about the wrestling business:

"@blakemitchamore How does creative putting him over make him a "star" Do people believe that Owens REALLY PINNED John Cena? God, I hope not."

    ReplyDelete
  17. I finally figured out the modus operandi of Cole, JBL, and King: they're using their jobs to audition for the sequel to Mystery Science Theater 3000.

    ReplyDelete
  18. You couldn't have said that better.

    ReplyDelete
  19. But that Tank Abbott. He was a STAR!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Russo's broken clock was timed perfectly with the Attitude Era.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I haven't ever gotten an offer to come back, but i did resubscribe with my old email, on Saturday. I still haven't been charged.

    ReplyDelete
  22. It only took another 15 months before Jericho got the belt so...

That Jericho finish was one of my least favorite moments in the Attitude Era.

He's just trolling the IWC. Literally the only group that still gives even 1% of a shit for his opinion, so he's trying to keep our attention. It seems to be working a bit.

    ReplyDelete
  24. You know what? Good for Cena.

Cena's been doing a lot of good shit for the last 3 years especially. The only thing I really disagreed with was going over Bray at 30. Other than that, he's been great. And this whole open challenge segment has been the best thing on Raw for a month at least.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Great show - each EC matches were a let down tho, however I don't mind Ryback ... I dig that they are letting him tell his personal story about coming back from his horrific broken leg to build some sympathy.

Cena vs. Owens was obviously tremendous

I actually LOVED the Dusty Finish - its a great finish when done sparingly and correctly. Rollins is the shit-eating heel that it works perfectly for because he wins these title matches by the absolute skin of his teeth.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yeah, people shit on the Dusty finish but the reason it's looked down on is because it was overused in the 80s. Once in a blue it doesn't hurt and is a good way to build a rematch.

    ReplyDelete
  28. So what is the WWE's deal with Ryback? Why is the dude clearly so beloved by the company? He's not really over, isn't a big merch seller, doesn't do much PR, but he continually gets pushes and is clearly on the Wellness Exempt List.

    Thighs.

    They're meaty.

    The end.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah it has to be the right heel and barely used ... it worked well with HHH and Jericho back in the day. And Rollins sold it perfectly, like he couldn't believe he'd escaped and everything like that. Ambrose looks strong, Rollins has great heat - it was the right call.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Plus he's sloppy in the ring and hurts dudes.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I still change the channel whenever he cuts a promo on TV.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm distracted by his tiny body bit gigantic neck.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I still change the channel whenever Cena cuts a promo.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Pretty much; he can keep up with the pace of great workers, and can also have halfway decent matches with guys like JBL and Khali.

    ReplyDelete
  36. He looks like the WWE took DNA from Goldberg and Rhyno and just made a guy.

    ReplyDelete
  37. This. People need to stop arguing with him and just start no-selling his shit.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ryback seems like a cool dude and all and I'm happy for him but giving a guy with a broken rib a title when the guy before hand vacated it due to injury?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Period. End of sentence. (Theoretically, at least)

    ReplyDelete
  40. You would be charged sometime today or after.

    ReplyDelete
  41. That's what it said, when i put in my info. I could've gotten it for free, even as a old subscriber

    ReplyDelete
  42. The crowd was chanting for him over Ziggler last night which surprised me. He is over.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think Rollins needs credibility as a champion before his reign starts to resemble the Miz or Swaggers.

He is infinitely better but from a complete mark perspective it looks like he can't win on his own. I think this puts him in danger of easily being lost in the midcard when his reign is over.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Curtis Axel recently had a lengthy run with the IS Title. Why not Ryback? Any live event you go to, look how much Ryback merch people have on. It's staggering. He is indeed more popular than you might think.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Couldn't one just provide new email addys/cc numbers every month pretty easily?
