No need for any booking craziness at all; Lesnar's push is the one thing you can unequivocally say they have done perfectly.

We're six months out from Mania. I love the idea of long-term booking, I really do; but to think they can't build a challenger out of those six months seems implausible. Either Reigns is back for the Rumble and gets the residual heat, Ambrose grabs the brass ring while he's gone, Bryan comes back and crowd goes crazy, or CENAWINSLOL.

I HATE the idea of not putting over the guy in a 1v1; that's hedging the push from the start. Add in the crowds literally hijacking the shows to push Daniel Bryan, and hopefully hopefully hopefully they'll see that one of these young guys could be the next big thing. Right now the crowds are crazy for Ambrose. With Reigns injured, they should strap a rocket to Dean's ass and build to him & Lesnar at WrestleMania.

They desperately need to move past the John Cena era. Yes, he draws, and yes, he sells merch, but I truly feel you are losing more older fans who are tired of him (and the product & era he represents) than new, younger fans that he brings in. And until we get a full era shift (which includes new announcers, makeover to the look of the shows), all the new guys in the world they introduce are... tainted... by what is already there. Randy Orton & Kane... Jesus. Sheamus, Ziggler--these are not new talents. They've already been in WWE longer than guys would have overstayed their welcomes back in the territory days. We're talking guys who have been there 4, 5--maybe 7 years already--who are still waiting to break through to the top. It's not just pushing the new stars, they gotta start cutting the old ones loose. And actually push people, dammit. No more 50/50. Mark Henry, Fandango... these guys should never win a match on TV again. Don't wanna be a WWE jobber? Go talk to TNA--Dixie might be able to find some change in the cupholder of her car that you can earn.

Ok I'm ranting, but you all get what I'm saying. In that case, Hogan had been basically untouchable since he won the belt back from Savage the previous year, and after he had decisively beaten Macho all through 1989, there weren't any believable heel challengers to him. But at least they had built up Warrior as a world-beater and IC champion, so sticking him against Hogan led to a killer main event.

Now, you've had Brock dominate the competition without building up anyone comparable elsewhere that could conceivably challenge him (whether that could be Reigns or Ambrose remains to be seen). And if you want this to have the biggest payoff, Brock HAS to lose one-on-one.greywolf8183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3838126259950293862.post-14945555379253868422014-09-24T17:13:25.311-06:002014-09-24T17:13:25.311-06:00That would be cool, although I was thinking they m...That would be cool, although I was thinking they might have Sting do something with Bray WyattC BREEZYnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3838126259950293862.post-18078592470492836322014-09-24T16:58:28.802-06:002014-09-24T16:58:28.802-06:00Austin couldn't beat Bret, so how can we belie...Austin couldn't beat Bret, so how can we believe that he could beat the guy that Bret couldn't beat in an hour?Mar Solohttp://www.facebook.com/marsolonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3838126259950293862.post-38813531513730855362014-09-24T16:56:54.958-06:002014-09-24T16:56:54.958-06:00"They already gave Austin that moment at Wres..."They already gave Austin that moment at Wrestlemania 14."

"They already gave John Cena that moment at Wrestlemania 21."Mar Solohttp://www.facebook.com/marsolonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3838126259950293862.post-82818258882621760702014-09-24T16:27:17.596-06:002014-09-24T16:27:17.596-06:00With all the rumors of Taker not being in good sha...With all the rumors of Taker not being in good shape, I wouldn't be surprised if we get Cena as Sting's opponent at Wrestlemania.Ripner Cabbitnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3838126259950293862.post-87439580390585621932014-09-24T16:05:38.126-06:002014-09-24T16:05:38.126-06:00If they don't have any better alternatives, wh...If they don't have any better alternatives, why not?bj2745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3838126259950293862.post-54740681816055490832014-09-24T16:01:39.698-06:002014-09-24T16:01:39.698-06:00They already gave Bryan that moment at Mania 30. ...They already gave Bryan that moment at Mania 30.
