Brock back?

WWE Wrestlemania update: Rumors swirling around major star (updated)

Holy SHIT.  If Rock takes an F5 and does the job then this show will be legendary.  Plus BIG DAVE is there too.  Take all my money WWE!

Comments

  1. This is why things like the Warrior showing up at WM8 and surprising everyone can no longer happen.
    Thanks a lot internet.

  2. I've missed Heel Batista so much.

  3. Haha, with this suggestion I think I might say goodbye to the IWC until after Wrestlemania. No need to keep getting possible spoilers like this.

  4. Hey, Rock may not be the one to eat the F-5. Seems to me, Cena could get Brock'ed up as well!

  5. Don't forget Lita is also in Miami. She may play a pivotal role in the monumental Beth-Eve vs. Maria-Kelly match.

That's it! I am DEFINITELY buyin' the PPV now! WWE 4 EVER!!!!

  6. ANYONE that has left wrestling to persue other things should be anti-Cena and a potential opponent. I said before that McMahon should help Cena to beat the Rock in the rematch if Cena agrees to get revenge on everybody that has left the WWE to pursue other things. It sets up quite a few matches:

    Brock/Cena
    Jericho/Cena
    Rock/Cena II
    HBK/Cena
    Batista/Cena

Imagine a heel Cena going into a Piper's Pit and clowining Piper for doing "They Live"

  7. Did I already say how f'n lucky I feel that this is my first WM?  If Brock comes out and F5s Rock and Cena I will literally shit my pants.

  8. I bet Batista comes back on Raw. Lesnar doing a run-in would be so batshit crazy I don't think the WWE has the balls to do it.

  9.  The new fun is seeing how they screw it up!

  10. Which generates more interest from wrestling fans (not national media), Brock/Rock or Brock/Undertaker?

    ReplyDelete
  11. This is where the internet hurts things.  Let's say neither Brock or Batista show up at Mania.  How many fans are going to be disappointed because neither of them appear?  The match and show could be perfect but due to this report, these two are the expectations people have now and that's not good, because there may be nothing to these reports.

  12.  Brock/Rock

At this point Rocky appears more than Taker anyway, and it's not like Brock would win at Mania.

  13.  I suppose, but it would seem the better way to play it is Brock F5'ing Cena then spending the whole summer saying Cena couldn't get the job done by himself. Brock has already beaten Rocky and could play that up too.

Instant Summerslam main event if they could drag it out that far.

  14. If Brock and Batista does show up on Sunday and are invlovled in the main event somehow, my money is on Brock and Batista vs. Rock and Cena for next year's Wrestlemania.

  15. This might explain why I saw Brock a few weeks ago here in Pittsburgh.  This is where McDevitt is from apparently.

  16.  Yeah, I've said it before, but this blog need spoiler space outside the wazoo, even for speculations.

  17. Greeeat. Another year of Punk complaining! :p

  18. He'll have to get on TV first...

  19. I laid out a scenario a week or so ago when Cena was in that car accident about how awesome it would be if they built to a Rock/Brock match. Rock loses to Cena and regains his respect for wrestling, and he plays up how he was always a part of WWE and it will always be in his blood. Then Brock comes back and Rock takes issue with the idea that the guy who was supposed to be THE guy to carry on with WWE after Rock left (and of course, they make sly allusions to the fact that Rock "passed the torch", ie did the job for him) and he threw it all away for MMA. Brock plays up the heel aspect, bragging up how he did everything there was to do in wrestling in 2 years and moved on to bigger and better things. Rock ends up becoming the de facto representative for wrestling itself against Brock at 29....and then he loses. Next night Brock brags it up and Cena comes out to lay it on the line: he beat the movie star, now if he thinks he's better than wrestling he needs to challenge the real champ. Build to Cena/Brock at Summerslam, or even keep it going all the way til the next Mania.

  20. I think I made that joke / connection, no?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I like neither of them and think that bringing in two old, beat-up ex-wrestlers would be terrible for guys I like's career, you think Vince is going to push Bryan, Ziggler, Cody and Punk with those guys back?

    ReplyDelete
  22.  Well for what it's worth, neither Lesnar nor Batista would return in a full-time capacity. In fact i'd personally be suprised if Batista is actually returning at all.

    ReplyDelete
  23.  They Live is a better film than Cena has made or will ever make.

    ReplyDelete
  24. "Would return"  I think you're seriously overvaluing these rumors.

Come on, did WCW or Shawn make an appearance at X-7?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I dunno, has the Rock made anything better than they live?

    ReplyDelete
  26. If the Rock ever worked with a major director (even if it's not up there with Carpenter's best) he might be able to say something.

I get a kick out of the fact that wrestlers who weren't overly concerned with Hollywood have been in some fondly remembered cult classics (see also: Andre in The Princess Diaries) whereas Rock/Hogan have been in a whole load of crap despite trying really hard to be taken seriously. I bet it eats them up inside... as they sunbathe on their yachts.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I actually hate this because I'll be so disappointed if they don't show up.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Well, Shawn got fired before he was supposed to, and WCW was supposed to run in on the McMahon match but Shawn Stasiak blabbered about it on the radio.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Well, the Rundown was awesome. And the Rock makes assloads of cash doing Disney movies now. Hogan's movies made no money.

    ReplyDelete
  30. ...it was Princess Bride..but I see your point. Rock could win an Ocsar but he will always be remembered for the Tooth Fairy.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Or Brock could be all, "You have a problem with people that left to do other things...well now you have a problem with ME."

    ReplyDelete
  32. I had to check what that was - I know it as Welcome To The Jungle. Yeah, it's fine. A fun movie for a Saturday night, but that was almost ten years ago.

It's clear Rock's not in it for reasons of artistic integrity, but neither is he a huge draw, he's just kind of 'there'.

Did you guys listen to the Art of Wrestling with CM Punk where he suggested a remake of Cannonball Run with the whole roster? Now that's a fun idea.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ha! I've never seen Princess Diaries...never...I swear...I don't have a thing for Anne Hathaway.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Exactly.  Shit happens, and maybe Brock will get cold feet, or a movie deal, or UFC will renegotiate.  Who knows?

And was Shawn fired?  I thought he was Jeff Hardy'd (told to take a break for like a year).

    ReplyDelete
  35. I was going to say that the difference was that Piper and Andre weren't leading roles, then I remembered they live. Jesus Hogan has been in some shit.
