Amazingly, two pieces of stupidity this morning, as Chyna is found passed out the SAME PORN CONVENTION…AGAIN. To paraphrase Boogie Nights, you think this might mean she should get some better shit? But really, when you pass out at a porn convention twice, there’s obviously a more innocent and career-friendly explanation that we just haven’t heard yet, so we’ll give her the benefit of the doubt.
And then…
Turns out that Rashad was right and Jon Jones and his Bible thumping might have just been a put-on after all. Rough week for Dana White, although this picture kind of sums it up:
I’m pretty sure Jones wasn’t doing Bud Lights at 4:00 AM when he wrapped his $250,000 Bentley around a pole, though.
Forget both of those stories, the best story out there is a former writer telling a story about Vince wanting the director of "See No Evil" have Kane pull out his penis in the movie and have it "cgi'd" to be 3-feet long.

Really? Somebody of faith can't make a mistake and still be "legit"? I don't care at all about religion but that's some jump there.
ReplyDeleteIt's not the faith, it's that Jones was quoted as saying he'd never be the guy who was caught getting a DWI and making the company look bad, BECAUSE he was a man of faith and you could depend on him as a result. And Rashad called him on that particular line of bullshit as part of the build to their fight.

ReplyDeleteMan, I'm an atheist and I still don't agree with this generalization. Can't it be somewhere in the middle? Some religious people are humble and don't boast about things and really live that life while others are secretly hypocrites.

I should clarify. I shouldnt have generalized by saying "religious" people. What I meant was those who dedicate their lives to organized religion and their notion of god, or those who act like they are morally superior because they drink the kool aid. Those people are all hypocrites and I have no time for them and no respect. The average joe who goes to church on Sunday and donates a bit... I dont really care either way.

I wonder what Joanie's actually on. I'm guessing she's coking it up until she blacks out, but there's also the possibility she's been slamming Oxys or something and slowing herself down to the point of blackout. I'm just glad she doesn't have kids to be affected by her nonsense. As far as I'm concerned she should just live it up until she starts to be a nuisance to others. Just don't let her drive.

News media and sports media in particular love the Golden Boy Christian athlete as much as they love the Fallen Star and the Bad Boy, and now Jones gets to be all of those things. He can play that up as his "gimmick".

ReplyDeleteI know everyone makes fun of Chyna and such, but honestly, I feel bad for her. I truly do. I mean, before the business, or during the beginning of her run, she sounded like she was just a quiet, nice person. Unfortunately, she got a big head, but it happens to the best of'em.
ReplyDeleteI mean, I'm about as low on the "celebrity" totem pole as a person can get, and even I grow tired of hearing people talk shit. I can only imagine how Chyna feels after 15 years of people talking unprovked shit to her. Now she's obviously wrapped up in drugs, and I've been there, it can be rough. I truly hope she comes out on top of this [no pun intended].
I'm guessing it's a mix of benzos (likely Xanax) and opiates. I know a guy who thinks it's a good idea to do Xanax while on methadone, and he often wakes up in odd places thinking "how the hell did I get here?" Dude's gonna die if he doesn't chill with that shit.

ReplyDeleteI said nothing about it not being her fault. She is to blame for putting herself in situations. The people who are more coherent and sane than her who turn a blind eye to her problems and are letting her self-destruct have more to answer for, though.

ReplyDeleteI have a rule that I try and apply when I post: Whenever I write about someone, I imagine myself as if I'm speaking physically in front of that person -- It helps temper some of the otherwise stupid shit I'm inclined to write -- Of course, it's more of a guideline than a rule :-)

ReplyDeleteI believe it's fair and appropriate to judge actions that endanger the health and safety of others. That's what Jones did. It goes beyond a poor personal choice.
ReplyDeleteAnd Jones has publicly embraced the role of "role model". That's admirable, and I believe him to be earnest. But when you voluntarily assume that role, you have to accept the backlash from actions such as this one.
That being said, I am a huge fan of his talent and work, and hope this is an experience he learns and grows from.
I'm guessing that nearly everybody is more coherent and sane than that poor girl currently id but I'm also guessing that anybody hanging out with her is probably about a 2 on the Sane and Coherent scale
