question for the blog

To be fair, that's not actually a QUESTION per se.  I will say that this couldn't possibly be any stupider than their song about how rainbows are magic and shit.  I would have to assume they're doing it for shock value and they're succeeding, so huzzah for them.

  2.  I use to listen to ICP in high school. Didn't listen to anything past The Great Malenko, but I heard that Miracles song at a friend's house, and laughed pretty hard. One of the dumbest songs I've ever heard, and I can't imagine how those idiot juggalos can defend it.

The greatest thing that's ever happened because of ICP is the Workaholics episode, Straight Up Juggahos. That show deserves far more attention than it gets.

  3. Odds this will be the theme song to summerslam 2012?

  4. In fairness, you should try to draw a distinction between a) things that shock you, and b) things that are actually shocking. In a world where "bath salts" became an internet meme days (if not hours) after the incident, a 5 yr old double murder is hardly actually shocking. I know you have emotional stake in it, like Owen Hart, but most people wouldn't find a song about a murdering wrestler any more shocking than anything else. Should artists not write songs about Charles Manson or Vietnam? Perspective, IMHO.

  5. FANTASTIC episode- Also ,the "To Friend a Predator" was just awesome- and also more shocking than a song about a murdering wrestler, IMHO.

  7. The miami bath salt cannibal is about as shocking as it gets. I know I'm not the only one who looked at those pictures.

  11. I wonder, would this be less or more offensive if ICP weren't so heavily involved in wrestling?

ICP are what they are, I liked them when I was about 14 during the Great Milenko/Jekel Bros. days but then I got a little too mature for joke songs about killing people. As wrestling figures, they might not command a lot of respect on their own but, really, they've worked for WWE & WCW, and they're some of the top paying independent promoters in the country, who've kept a lot of paydays going for a lot of legends plus given chances to a lot of young wrestlers. I'm amazed at how the whole "Juggalo" thing has made such a resurgence in recent years. Gathering of the Juggalos is pretty massive.

  12. "Why don't you just have sex with guys your own age?"

"DUDE! I'm not GAY! That's offensive!"

  19. Nah, it'll be:

Eddie Guerrero - 2027 featuring "love" songs including "Heartstopper"
Perry Saturn - 2042 featuring "Moppgina" about a woman who uses a mop for pleasure.

  20. I've always given ICP credit that when they get in the ring, they at least look like they're trying. Especially Violent J (I think), he fell off a fucking bus & still kept wrestling... and the Oddities were kinda cool. They're both clearly big fans of our little pseudo-sport, so props to them whether you care for their music or not... which I don't. This is gonna be god awful.

Doesn't mean I'm not going to search it out whenever it's released out of pure bile fascination.

  21. White trash in face paint is still white trash in face paint. Juggles are like Ron Paul fanatics: logic is not in their vocabulary.

  22. Yeah, I don't the folks who buy their nine-year-olds Cena t-shirts would the be same kind of folks who would approve of their kids listening to violent rap and wearing facepaint.

  23. ....I'm not entirely sure what your point is.

  24. The guy who ate the half of the hobos face in Miami was allegedly on Bath Salts at the time but he just had traces of Marijuana in his system.

  25.  I'm a big fan of diss songs, always have been. I think Em's song I Remember is the greatest diss of all time, and I also thought his verse to ICP on Marshall Mathers was fantastic.

Slim Anus was terrible. Really? What's so insulting about being gay? Why is that so original to do? 5 year olds do stuff like that.

Hit'em Up? Rip The Jacker? 2nd Round KO? All day, baby.

    Slim Anus? Not so much.
