Scott, ANSWER THESE PLEASE!!

You da man, been reading you forever, all that good stuff.
1. What do you see for Ryback in these next upcoming months? They didn't even let him squash Jack Swagger, as if they need to protect that doofus's heat.

I see Ryback continuing to squash jobbers and low-level curtain jerkers.  Perhaps he'll get new airbrushed tights somewhere in there too.

2. How can the WWE save Lesnar's run? Obviously he is still going to be over huge regardless of if he loses all four/five matches he is going to do in his run, but they flushed a lot of money down the toilet by not giving him the monster "path of destruction" push. Ahh, WWE egos.

I think WWE and the fanbase are just on different planets as far as what each side expects from the Lesnar return.  I honestly think WWE just wants to use him to put their own guys over in short-term programs and maybe pop a number against Undertaker at Wrestlemania, and that'll be that.  I still find it hilarious that Christopher Nolan figured out how to book a monster heel much better than WWE can these days, because I was sure as hell hoping Batman was going to kick the shit out of Bane by the end of that movie.

3. What happens to Heath Slater after Raw 1000? I think he is hilarious, and he plays his character perfectly. The crowd loves to boo him, and you can tell Cole and Lawler love his segments where he gets his ass beat. They're laughing the entire time on commentary.

He becomes the opposite of Randy Orton?  He loses all the time and then gets fired for passing a drug test?

4. What is your favorite food?

Vince's pain every time Linda loses an election.

  1. I don't have any faith in them giving Ryberg a top-level program. He'll be Just Another Guy.

  2. 1. Honestly Ryback shouldn't squash Jack Swagger. It is time for Ryback to get in more competitive matches. While he should go over Swagger it should not be easy. Even Goldberg's matches got more competitive after awhile. Keep the streak going but make him sweat a little to earn his victories.

    3. I'm enjoying Heath Slater's segments. I actually wouldn't mind him being the "Michael Hayes" of a Freebirds-like faction (the statue of limitation for a gimmick like that must surely be up by now). He's someone who could get some heat for being an arrogant punk. The commentary mentioned that his "one man band" thing isn't quite working out so why not start surroundng him with some others (like a Jack Swagger for instance) and start sure they got noticed. Guys like Heath Slater are the type of mid-card heels that add to the undercard.

  3. I mentioned this in another thread, but maybe tonight we'll have Slater get beaten by another legend, leading to Slater getting upset and recalling his own 'legendary' Raw moment...and that's when the reformed Nexus (Barrett, Otunga, Gabriel, McGillicutty, Ezekiel and maybe Ryan if he can keep from injuring everyone) comes out and beats the hell out of the legend that defeated Slater.  None of these guys are really doing anything right now, so a new Nexus would be a good idea.  Send them over to Smackdown and suddenly Sheamus has weeks/months worth of heel challengers.

Best possible idea for Lesnar would've been to have him as a surprise entrant in MITB and having him win the briefcase.  Then you can play out the drama of having him cash it in at any point between now and Mania.  Also, if the plan is to have Lesnar hold the belt again, it saves someone like CM Punk from doing a clean job.  It makes Punk look like a chump if he loses to Brock after Brock loses to everyone else (Cena, HHH, etc.) but it protects Punk if he just loses to Brock on a MITB cash-in.

  4. I think the long term plan for Ryback might be a streak vs streak match at WM 30

Not sure if skip is up to it quite yet but it's a good sell to go up against taker on the back of a 2 year undefeated run

  5. "Keep the streak going but make him sweat a little to earn his victories."

If last week was any indication, it won't take much to make Ryback sweat. He looks like he's been reading from the "Scott Steiner Guide to Conditioning".

  6. The payoff for Ryback is job to Sheamus.

  7. When Batman and Bane were fighting at the end, I had to fight a serious temptation to scream out "KICK HIS ASS, BATMAN!!!" while I was in the theatre.

  8. StatuTe of Limitation.  It is not a statue.

Sorry, I'm not usually That Guy, but that's a big one.

  9. I'll keep this spoiler free but I agree. Nolan "booked" Bane perfectly. He booked the entire angle perfect. The rise of the monster heel, the downfall of the hero, and finally the confrontation and the RISE of the Dark Knight. Goddamn that was an awesome movie. Tom Hardy was spectacular as bane.

  10. Ouch, you're right that was a big one.

  11. Man it was perfect. Hardy played that role almost as amazing as ledger played the joker. What a movie.

  12. I could see ryback jobbing to cena at a random ppv. Isn't that exactly what they did with lashley?

    ReplyDelete
  13.  That's what she said?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah its time to find out what kind of matches ryback is capable of having.

    ReplyDelete
  15. There probably should  be a statue of limitations, though.

  17. (Immediately thinks of scene from "The Goonies"...)

    Mrs. Walsh: What is that?
    Chunk: Oh...SHIT, what?

  18. 1. I think  they might do something with him at the Rumble; either a world title shot or giving him the Diesel push in the Rumble itself. At least, those seem like the best options for him. That or having him destroy a heel champ who throws out an open challenge, a la Honky/Warrior.

    2. Since Money in the Bank is off the table, having him beat Triple H at Summerslam would be a good start, but I'm not exactly holding my breath.

    3. I see him being the next Santino; he rarely wins but still gets over due to mic work and winds up earning himself tv time every week because they can drop him anywhere and get a reaction.

  19. I'd love to see the Slater stuff continued indefinitely... how else are they going to fill segments on the new 3 hour show?

    ReplyDelete
  20. This is my e-mail and I disagree with Scott's assessment of Heath. He's getting over.

  21. Nolan WAS doing a good job booking Bane... until that bullshit twist and what came afterwards.

    ReplyDelete
  22. By the end of the movie, I wanted Bane to go through with his plan and was pretty pissed when he didn't.

Bane-Batman strangely resembled Cena-Lesnar at ER.

  23. The twist didn't hurt Bane whatsoever in my eyes. He had enough heat to protect him from the bullshit.

  24. So we can book Heath Slater for US Champion in 2013?

    ReplyDelete
  25.  I'd love to see it but no way they let Ryback go that long without losing.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah I don't see ryback making out of the midcard. Jtts at best.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yeah slater is doing well for himself.
