PWI 500 2012

LET THE NERD RAGE BEGIN!

Honestly, I was totally out of the PWI loop before they even started doing these ridiculous lists so I've never paid much attention to them, but some people (inside the business no less!) pay a lot of attention to them.  So there you go.

Comments

  1. Evan Bourne is pretty high on the list...

  2. Death Ray is better than a lot of those guys.

and who the hell is El Terrible!?

  3. Wrestlers have no other criteria for ranking themselves so they get all excited about pyrrhic victories like this. They get obsessive about how high their attributes are ranked in the video game every year, too.

  4. He sounds pretty terrible.

Now this guy on the other hand, rules: http://www.angelfire.com/nj/JoeRules/

  5. I think the last one of these I took seriously was probably 1990. When I was 10. This listing seemed asinine then and it looks like much hasn't changed.

  6. No "Catalyst" Chad Bryant?!?

    FAIL.

  7. You know a list is legit when Devon is ranked ahead of Bully Ray.

  8. That is some trick, given that they started it in 1991!

  9. "Not-on-the-list" Chad Bryant

  10. Austin Aries above Alberto Del Rio seems wacky to me. AA dominated the X division and Del Rio was barely a wrestler for the first half of 2012.

    But, you know... Whatever.

  11.  Evan Bourne is pretty high...

  12. If the gimmick for that one is Ivan the Terrible as a luchadore then sign me up.

  13. The Miz was #1 last year?  Really?  REALLY??

    ReplyDelete
  14. No, not exactly. He was half of a successful tag team for CMLL in Mexico for a few years, but they split with the other guy, Texano Jr., ditched them for AAA. Terrible's been treading water in the upper mid-card/low main-event level for CMLL ever since. But he's not bad in the ring, and he's among the few guys in lucha with something resembling a "pro wrestling" promo style, as opposed to the semi-grounded promos CMLL guys tend to do.

  15. It's one guys list which shows his preferences and favourites created to sell copies of a magazine. I wouldn't get wound up.

  16. Evan Bourne is pretty....

  17. ha-HA! Well played, sir. Sorry the bulk of my memory of 20+ years ago got washed away by bong water sometime in the mid 00's.

  18. Sandow at 89 while robbie e is 66???

    ReplyDelete
  19. That's as far as I read.

  20. I laughed that the Big O made the list

  21. Sandow doesnt have 12 POINTS BRO!!!

  22. Sorry, I just couldn't resist the urge to point it out haha.

Honestly though, I think the fact that I remember something that insignificant is more of a cause for concern of my priorities in life than anything lol

  23. Did The Pali Prince make the list?

  24.  Evan Bourne...

  25. Chad "Number 501" Bryant
