  1. That shit must be pretty funny considering how bad the PPVs were. Not to generalize the whole year, as there were some great matches, but probably the worst year since the Monday Night Wars had started. I can't remember, did you bring back the HOT POKERS UP THE ASS? Wasn't Kevin Sullivan actual THERE at that point?

  2. I read that as back before I had a life instead of wife.

  3. Hey Scott, I just downloaded the sample for my cloud reader, and it's essentially unreadable--nearly white on white. Is that intentional to fuck with people looking at the sample (I can't imagine)? Or has Amazon fucked something up in the e-book process?

  4. Scott, do you get anything from Amazon if somebody "borrows" it?  I see it's eligible for the Amazon Prime lending library

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yup, I sure do.  Almost as much as if someone buys it, in fact.

  6. I downloaded the sample and it's fine on my Android phone.  The table of contents is green for some reason, but the actual text is normal.

  7. SCOTT STEINER!!!!!!

    scott,

you still got that $20 deal for everything going?? or has that been scrapped??

  8. Same situation here, Scott.  On the Amazon Cloud Reader (on a computer), it's basically unreadable.  Really disabling me from avoiding work by reading this.

Anthony - if you change settings to white on black, it's readable.

  9. I tried the Cloud reader and I see what you mean.  Weird that the formatting would be different on the cloud version.  At least you can change the background to fix it.

  10. I don't think you can download the original file off rspwfaq.com anymore.  I'm in the process of re-formatting and re-organizing the archives anyway so I can clean up the WCW section and add all the new stuff like the past year of RAW, so hopefully in the near future I can figure out a way to offer it again.

  11. I'm about to relive RAW 2003...I truly am a masochist.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I tried that, and that failed to work for me. I dunno.

    ReplyDelete
  13. It is great, probably Scott's best work overall.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Can I read this without a Kindle?

    ReplyDelete
  15.  Naw, that was October 2002.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Awesome; now I can read Scott losing his sanity wherever I go!

    ReplyDelete
  17. He did, for Judgment Day 2003 I think. Outside of WMXIX and Vengeance 2003, it was a horseshit year all around. Plus, that was truly the advent of TWENTY MINUTE PROMO HHH

  18.  Highlight all of the text so it stands out until they fix the problem.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Scott slowly losing his will to live as the weeks go on is the best part about these rants.

    ReplyDelete
  20. That was actually my first thought, and I couldn't seem to highlight any text, either. It's possible that I'm extremely mentally deficient today.

    ReplyDelete
  21. You can use the Kindle Cloud reader at read.amazon.com, but you might run into the same issues I've been having.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I love Scott's rant about how Scotsman beat him at cribbage and what his excuse was for it.

"I had the flu, a 120 degree fever, and I wasn't using my usual browser."  The line about not using his "usual browser" kills me.

  23. Oh man, just reading this stuff reminded me how bad not only the roster was, but Triple H constantly having the company give him verbal blow jobs was. Seriously, almost 75% of the Top Ten Raw moments involved Triple H.

  24. Strange, I was watching some 2003 shows just last night...it's funny how I wasn't terribly enthusiastic about 2003 at the time, but I enjoy it much more than the current stuff.

I'm probably the only person who couldn't stand the Hurricane though. I just wanted that guy to go away.

  25. Oh man 2003. The summer of 2003 did irreparable damage to me as a fan. Who could forget boring shit like Christian vs. Booker T for re-instituted IC title? Or fabulous feuds like unmasked Kane hooking jumper cables up to Shane O-Mac's nut sack? Scott's intro to the Backlash 2003 rant says it all.

    ReplyDelete
  26.  That's right, my mistake.

    ReplyDelete
  27.  I remember this period too and it was NOT a good time as far as the WWE goes.

    ReplyDelete
  28.  I definitely wouldn't want 2003 over what we have today, but I see your points though. Most of what took place that year hasn't aged well (for obvious reasons), but it did produce a few classic matches.

    ReplyDelete
  29.  HHH's best match in 2003 was the match against Shawn Michaels on the last Raw of the year (12/29). Everything else was practically forgettable.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Forgettable?

The last word I would use to describe Triple H's matches with Steiner, Booker T, Goldberg, and Kevin Nash is forgettable.

    ReplyDelete
  31.  Lol, which word would you use??

    ReplyDelete
  32.  I'm having the same issue on my 2d generation Kindle.  Can't read a word of text other than the chapter headings.

    ReplyDelete
  33.  According to Amazon, it's not compatible with my 2d generation kindle for some reason.  I had no problems with the WM rants or 1st year of Raw e-books, though.  I guess formatting changes were made to this one that make it incompatible.
