Fwd: Cena enagages in twitter war with WWE website

---------- Forwarded message ---------

Who knows is this is a work or not, but this series of tweets is kind of amusing.

It starts here: https://twitter.com/JohnCena/status/248517045417820160

Some #jackwagon from @wwe dotcom apparently posted me recovering in 14 days. I spoke in depth with my surgeon Dr James Andrews....And he specifically told me due to the amount of fragmentation, SIX WEEKS is a safer time table for recovery. I apologize on behalf of a Website whos credibility is now equal to #theonion please @wwe web guys, get your monkey frankin facts straight!

------------------------

Makes me wanna buy the PPV!   Oh wait, no it totally doesn't.

Comments

  1. How DARE he slather The Onion with criticism instead of whatever one normally slathers upon onions!

    I'll not have it!

Wait, lemme adjust for social media relevance: #illnothaveit

  2. Oh, BURN!!!  Cena steals "material" from the Orbitz gum commercials. Is he going to change his submission move to "STFD"? (Shut The Front Door)

    ReplyDelete
  3. YES! So hopefully we will have a Cena free zone for a month or so? I wonder who Punk faces at HITC if Cena is out?

    ReplyDelete
  4. If I've got this right, "jackwagon" is to Boston as "beanhead" is to Chicago.

If Cena's out longer, all the better.

    ReplyDelete
  5. No cena definitely makes me want to buy the ppv. Actually I really like cena, but 6 weeks without him will make it that much better. And while I do think cena v punk is the biggest possible match in wrestling (not involving rock ut or brock) i would way rather see a fresh main event at hitc

    ReplyDelete
  6. U know I really do like cena, I like how he is this super face and imo he's an excellent worker and has been for 5 years but can't he a pull a hogan and only work like a half schedule? At this point less is way more

    ReplyDelete
  7. This means Punk's gonna drop it to the Rock, which is good.

HiTC he'll face a good worker that people like but won't have a chance in hell...I'm guessing Bryan or maybe Kofi?  As for why it would be a Hell in the Cell match?  Maybe Punk demands it for the prestige and AJ acquiesces out of a desire to please the now unreliable Punk.

Survivor Series will probably have the rematch with Cena, which he needs to lose because Cena/Rock won't happen till Mania.   Maybe have Cena be screwed by whoever you want his program to be with until Mania?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Whose the next face for punk? Probably has to be orton right? Maybe Christian? Jesus who's the next face? Maybe do Shameus v punk? I would prefer to see rey rey get a shot at punk. Is that possible?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Social media relevance is so early September 2012.  RAW has dropped RAWActive like a bad habit last week.

Sock puppet pantomime is the latest craze.

    ReplyDelete
  10. OK, can someone PLEASE tell me who the fuck is saying Rock/Cena II is set in stone?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I agree that db is the best choice but I think they go somewhere else and have him and kane do something. Can't see it being shameus but that would be awesome. (Metzer says shameus v show is starting soon)If you take shameus and db out I think we are left with orton (boo) or rey rey (cheer).Damn they need another top face. No chance they push misterio to that spor right?

    ReplyDelete
  12. I had originally heard rock v brock which would be way better. Look rock v cena was epic but I'm good with one time.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I don't get this love for Cena's injury and missing HitC. Cena/Punk is the first feud that feels like it would mean something in the Cell since they've gone to the Hell in the Cell "theme" pay-per-view. I mean it's a feud that's got a two-year history, they've had some suitably epic matches, and it feels like they "need" the Cell to settle things.

    ReplyDelete
  14. With Cena out of Hell in a Cell (I think), I suppose we'll get Brock vs. Triple H instead.

    ReplyDelete
  15. If Cena is going to miss HiaC, I would guess that they panic and make it a 4way or something. They'll just put Dolph, Orton, and Big Show in there.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I agree with everything you said and feel like cena v punk is the biggest money feud in wrestling not involving a movie star or a pretend zombie. But I am soooooo happy for a tv build and ppv with out cena! Just one is all I asked for. One show with fresh guys and something different ontop.May or june would have been better timing imo but I will take what I am given.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yep.  Plus no matter what you think of Cena's character, he still brings the goods in the ring and he and Punk have great in-ring chemistry together.

    ReplyDelete
  18. The worst part is that if you hadn't put those sarcasm warnings someone would have posted "ugh I'm so sick of all the cena hate, it's a pg era get over it."

    ReplyDelete
  19. Kane and Daniel Bryan > CM Punk and John Cena

    ReplyDelete
  20. Cena is not going to miss HiaC.  If Cena is tweeting about this, it's a work.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Assuming Cena is out and somebody finally got the memo that ADR isn't over as a main-eventer, they could certainly do worse than allowing Kane and Bryan to go for the titles. Punk/Bryan and Sheamus/Kane, or vice-verse?

Or maybe a "Triple Header" match of Punk-Sheamus against Bryan-Kane, with all three titles on the line? Come to think of it, a few days ago, somebody suggested a four-way match (Punk/Cena/Sheamus/ADR) with both titles on the line. Cena/Sheamus/Kane/Bryan in the Cell? It's something different, at least.

    ReplyDelete
  22.  Bryan and Kane vs Punk and Sheamus, with all the gold on the line!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I don't even care about that, really, just no point in him rushing the injury. It's not like any of their storylines are working that well as it is.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Guess they need to expedite that Big Show face turn.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Cena lost the first one.

Cena always, ALWAYS, gets his win back (except against Punk).

    ReplyDelete
  26. If Cena really is out for HITC, then Orton is the obvious and natural guy to elevate into a quick feud with Punk.  Orton doesn't have any other feuds going on, he's still a big name and (best of all) we'll see Punk beat him!

But really, I doubt Cena's going to miss this PPV.  It's close enough to his 'healthy by' date that he'll come back a bit early.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Mysterio is doing shit with Sin Cara, right?  Fuck...this is looking like Orton's getting the shot.

Punk, please politic the fuck outta everyone and get Kofi into that match.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'd love to see Tyson Kidd get a shot but if wishes were horses, beggars would ride.

    ReplyDelete
  29. If he turns, for the record, I NEVER saw it coming.  What a twist!  He'll no longer be an unstoppable monster with a brand new bad attitude.  He'll be an unstoppable force with a brand new positive outlook on life and the WWE Universe.

    ReplyDelete
  30. How cool would it be if Austin filled in for Cena.

    ReplyDelete
  31.  whoa whoa whoa whoa.... whoa... batman mug... whoa. We're not going 6 weeks without Cena if that's what you mean.  We'll be lucky if he's off our TV for a week.  He might not have any matches, but let the goofy promos roll, baby.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think there's more chance of Austin Idol filling in than Stone Cold.  I don't know if his knees have healed up and I can't see him coming back for anything less than 'Mania.  Agreed though, it would be very cool.

Alternately, given he attacked Miz last week and he doesn't seem to be going anywhere as a heel right now, turn Cody face and see what happens?

    ReplyDelete
  33. And also, for the record, we're not getting Cena-free TV here, folks.  Some people are rejoicing like he's gone.  No.  Next week, he's probably slated to cut a goofy-jokey promo on CM Punk and how Punk's a baby for complaining to the ref.  The week after that (if he decides not to wrestle at HiaC), he'll help the new number one contender "one up" Punk through interference or chicanery.

The week after... who am I kidding... WWE doesn't know what it's doing at that point.  He may JOIN the Bryan and Kane therapy group since they're over.  That way, he can absorb some cheers for once because we MUST cheer Cena or Vince will burn the building to the ground.

    ReplyDelete
  34.  I would actually LOVE that. They haven't busted that angle out since IYH4 or something, right? Totally overdo for a rehash.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm pretty sure Orton is supposed to be out filming a movie for a few weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Nevermind.  I see online where he is now being advertised for Smackdown while filming is going on.  Guess that means he would be open for filling in.

    ReplyDelete
  37.  They did it in 2001 with Austin and HHH versus Kane/Undertaker for all the titles. Even that was over a decade ago. God I feel old...

    ReplyDelete
  38. *Cough*UNDERTAKER*Cough*

    ReplyDelete
  39. Tyson Kidd is nowhere near ready.  Kofi is a proven talent, has a history with Punk, can actually talk and has (on paper) a pretty impressive title record.

Have Punk cripple Cena with a chair, announce a tournament for the number one contendership, and have Kofi go over everyone (beating Orton in the finals) to get the shot.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wait for WrestleMania 30...

    Cena beat Brock eventually, right?

    ReplyDelete
  41. I agree, Tyson isn't ready--I'd just like to see him get a shot as long as we're throwing fantasies out there, that's all.

    ReplyDelete
  42. ...while claiming Linda's opponent committed arson.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'll throw a random guess out there: anyone know if Mark Henry is healthy yet? I think they were edging toward a face turn with him, maybe he'll come back and do a face run against Punk. Stranger things have happened.

    ReplyDelete
  44. It's not a fantasy!

Oh god, it's going to be Orton.

    God save us all.

Though it would justify the HitC stip.

    ReplyDelete
  45. So you think Cena won't get his win back against Punk before Wrestlemania 30?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Agreed, I was actually looking forward to a Punk/Cena cell match. I think it could have been awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  47.  One like for pretend zombie making me chuckle.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Kinda like how after Austin got tombstoned he would show up on Raw every week. Except that it will be bad in every way.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I saw a couple days ago that he recently started rehabbing, so I'm thinking he's still a ways away.

    ReplyDelete
  50. If we're throwing randoms out there...Seth Rollins Vs. CM Punk, title-for-title! ;) I'm joking about the title part but Rollins vs Punk might be interesting to see.  Heck, turn Cesaro face and give him a shot.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Most probably.

Though I don't think that Cena has ever gotten a clean pin-fall on Punk.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Bashing the Onion.  From the same company that has been rewriting all of TV history with their "Did you Know" segments.

    That is funny.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Nothing gets my dick hard like Twitter worked shoots, brother!

    ReplyDelete
  54. They owe him some months off after making him work for so long with that torn groin.

    ReplyDelete
  55. You think Kane and Big Show ever get stuck when they go through the Heel Face Revolving Door at the same time?

    ReplyDelete
  56. He wasn't bashing the Onion at all. He was saying their website provides as much credible information as a fake news site.

    ReplyDelete
  57. So this is what's it come to... trying to figure out if John Cena's spat with WWE.com on Twitter is a "worked shoot"... jesus

    ReplyDelete
  58. Total speculation here, but I'm predicting he's a surprise entrant in the 2013 Rumble.

    ReplyDelete
  59. The funniest part was that immediately after I sent this to Scott, the next couple of tweets from Cena he mentioned that he hoped to be fully recovered in 6 weeks and he'd provide an update . . . on the WWE website. Umm, the same site you just compared to the Onion?

    ReplyDelete
  60. I wouldn't mind seeing Tyson get a shot on a RAW and then have Tyson keep getting close to winning and even suspending our disbelief for a while. Much like that match on RAW where Taka took on HHH for the Title. That could be pretty cool and even with Tyson not winning it still elevates him as he gave Punk a fighting match.

    ReplyDelete
  61. This board dude, remember when HHH beating Brock at SummerSlam was set in stone?

    ReplyDelete
  62. But Cena owned punk prior to the summer of punk. Beat him w/ a Super FU, beat him in a minute via tap out.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Really?  Cause I remember Nexus!Punk beating Cena three times in a row (through nefarious means of course) and Cena never really getting his vengeance.  They just switched to Orton/Punk and Cena/Miz.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Going to have to work a little harder to sell Scott Keith a PPV. He knows the value of a dollar. Besides, he has UFC dolls to buy!
