Blog Draws!

Scott, 2012 Scott sez/Benoit/Montreal Screwjob are your only draws on this board.

RYback isn't a draw and Cena Heel turn is showing diminishing returns every time out.

You might have something with Jesse Baker, but you won't push him. Clearly you have something with Hollywood Fuj, who turned heel but nobody wants to vote down Fuj.

Does this sound familiar?

I think Hollywood Fuj is overrated and needs to learn how to work Main Event Thread style.  And clearly Invasion Fantasy Booking is also a big draw, along with Brock Lesnar and Daniel Bryan questions.  I don't even WANT to push Cena Heel Turn but clearly no one else is ready yet.  Plus I've got some great topics in developmental right now, who could really be good hands if they found their voice and maybe dropped 15 pounds and dyed their hair.  I've heard nothing but good things about Indy Geeks Who Might Be Signed Next, as well as Potential Leaders of Aces & Eights.  Plus I think 2013 Scott Sez is almost ready to go, maybe in two months?  So we're fine.

  1. Blogofdoomamania topic: 2012 Scott revists an old post where he wonders if Benoit had anything to do with the Montreal Screwjob.

  2. How can there be a Main Event Thread style if your blog never has a Main Event thread?

  3. As the BOD's most liked member, whatever post I decide to comment on is a big draw. I need my own Lodi to follow me around with signs that say "CULTSTATUS=RATINGS".

  4. This whole post me laugh my ass off, and with the beating I'm taking with that Miz/Kofi rating I needed a good laugh. BTW, it's looking like Main Event will be a one time thing for me (reviewing it for the blog I mean, I still plan to watch it). I figured I'd give it a shot and if people liked it I'd keep going, but the reaction has been totally negative outside of one guy. So I think it's best that I just stick with the indy stuff I know, my writing style seems to be better suited for ROH anyway.

Indy geeks who might be signed next? I can see WWE taking a look at Mike Bennett. He's got that bodybuilder look that Vince loves, and he's not too bad in the ring or on the mic.

  5. I don't think people were negative to the review as a whole, just negative to your assessment of the Kofi/Miz match rating.

Nonetheless, if this is the end, I thank you for giving it a shot, and wish you the best in your future endeavors.

  6. I think my push needs to continue, as I'm slowly starting to catch on.

  8. Hey, if people want me to keep going, I will.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Wrestlezone is still around?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Like I said, I appreciate opinions that are different from mine. I'd like to see you keep going if you want to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Eh, we'll so how it goes... I'm leaning towards no but I haven't totally made up my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  12. He's using overloaded terms. "WWE Main Event Style" can mean two different things, like "Hell in a Cell" can refer to a type of match or a PPV (or both)

(e.g "Sheamus and Big Show are fighting at Hell in a Cell", "Sheamus and Big Show are not fighting in Hell in a Cell")

  13. OVERRATED!?

I can take my talents to 411mania or Wrestlezone.com and become a (smark)GOD among Nerds. You are reading the talents of a YouShoot co-star, who I might add, name-dropped your blog, cheap plug. and yet despite 6 years of blog presence (yikes) it takes me raging against the machine while these goofs, dweebs, ham'n'eggers and johnny come latelys get the shine.

Ive been posting GOLD for years and yet you let the board clog up with the musings of some jabroni named Team Zanadude!? (kidding all)

  14. Y'know, I gave Fuj his best feud, I gave him his nickname, I taught him how to write, and how am I repaid? I'll be a footnote in history, I'll get a wikipedia page, but they won't even have my finishing move.

  15. OH MY GOD!

FUJ IS TEARING UP THE FORMAT SHEET!

  16. ...You are the yin...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Apparently it is, although I have to admit I couldn't imagine it still being in existence

    ReplyDelete
  18. This whole post is damn funny. Thanks

  19. While you may be a huge influence in the blogging world, I am determined to flaunt the massive failure your venture into the world of fantasy professional football is sure to be long remembered when the FFLOD season ends.

  20. So...we're wacky tag team partners who don't get along?

  21. I'm not gonna lie: I'll be glad to see 2012 Scott Sez gone.

He was trying WAY too hard to emulate 2011 Scott Sez, right down to the bolded thoughts in parenthesis. At least he dropped the "Scott Sez" stuff to stand out a little. That was 2011 Scott Sez' bread and butter catchphrase.

I've seen some of 2013 Scott Sez' work in developmental. He's got the chops to make it big. Whether he's given the shot or just becomes another generic no-name on the blog is another question.

Also, I think the Adam Bomb/Wrath/Brian Adams threads should be nominated for Thread of the Year.

  23. Hollywood Fuj put my ass in this seat!

I suppose I'm the only one who's hoping Scott's mental stability starts slipping in the next few days? Saying that he won't let Hollywood Fuj destroy the blog. That he's going to inject a LETHAL dose of poison. If anyone's going to destroy the BOD, it'll be him and....

*spins in his chair to have the back of it face a mirror, but forgot to write it backwards*

  27. You are a flash in the pan...
You are a grain of sand in the Sahara Desert that is Hollywood Fuj.

Take away your lil gimmick and what are you?
    Team Jabroni.

I took a guy by the name of Jobber123 and made him into a top guy overnight.
I can take you and make you into a somebody just that THAT.

You don't wanna know the dark side of The Fuj...

  28. (To the tune of "I'm Just a Bill": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyeJ55o3El0)

[spoken off screen] Whew, you sure gotta climb a lot of steps to get to the top of this blog in RSPWland. [focus on me, sitting about halfway up the steps] Well, I wonder who that sad little poster is?

"I'm just a jobber, yes I'm only a jobber, and I'm sitting here on Blog of Doom.
Well it's a long long journey to the Top Commenters,
It's a long long wait while I'm reading other posters.
But I know I'll be one of them someday, at least I hope and pray that I will, but today, I am still just a jobber."

[spoken] Gee Jobber, you certainly know how to enhance the other talent.
Well, at least I have an account. When I started I wasn't even a jobber, just a jabroni. Then someone called me up, and now I can post alongside the legends. Maybe one day I'll get to the top, but not today.

(And someone else can take it from there/refine it. I am still a jobber (non-subtle coughing in the background]... fine, "enhancement talent", after all.)

  29. I'm the best pure worker here, just zero gimmick to speak of. Like Danielson circa '05. Watch out for me in 6 years, when I get it all put together, catchphrase and gimmick-wise.

    ReplyDelete
  30. THAT IS DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER! i'M FILING A 100 TRILLION DOLLAR LAWSUIT AGAINST YOU, BLOG OF DOOM, AND TONY HAWK!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Unfortunately, there's a woeful lack of Divas here to help get you over.

    ReplyDelete
  32. And I'm filing a lawsuit against you for hurting my eyes with all caps. Also, alienation of affection.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Either way, I give you credit for stepping out of your comfort zone. It's like me trying to review Extreme Ballroom Dancing.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Simpsons did it!

    ReplyDelete
  35. That's the saddest thing I've read all day.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Pro tip: throw in some "oooh yeah!"s when you rip off Macho Man wholesale like that.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm willing to settle your suit out of court. Would you take two ALF pogs, a copy of Star Wars Christmas, and blurry Loch Ness photo I took in my wading pool?

    ReplyDelete
  38. It's OK, we're telling stories.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sadly, the Brian Clark threads have been busted for a Wellness violation and sent home for 60 days. I'm pretty hesitant to ever push them again now, just in case.

    ReplyDelete
  40. It's okay. I heard they wanted more time to work on their music, and reinvent the hanky code.

    ReplyDelete
  41. You people need to understand this site is not a "rasslin" blog site. This is Digital Entertainment.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I heard a story that you hit Lisa.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I hear that Mar Solo guy has got some good Chris Jericho mojo going.

    ReplyDelete
  44. If they were Randy Orton threads they would have at least gotten a movie out of it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. You should. It's a good show, worthy of a review. I didn't see the match so I can't comment on the star rating. Feels low but I don't think that's an unforgivable sin.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Jobbers can dream too! Don't let anyome tell you different.

    ReplyDelete
  47. If it weren't for the BoD, we'd all still be selling meat out of a truck in Minneapolis!

    ReplyDelete
  48. LOL... Dude, you're killing it with this shit.

    ReplyDelete
  49. If they were Randy Orton he'll find some other blog and crap in its bags.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm sure the blog is drawing just as well as it always has, there's probably just alternate ways of viewing it that can't be measured.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I consider myself the Tito Santana of this blog.

    Arriba!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. When I take down you and Phrederic in the same night (after some timely interference from Scott, team zanadude, Night81, Adam Curry, and Scream09), I'll be Undisputed.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I love everything about this post

    ReplyDelete
  54. Ooh, so I'm like...Randy Savage, or Christian! Y'know, I could live with that.

    ReplyDelete
  55. If it weren't for Cracked you mean...

    ReplyDelete
  56. I nominate this thread for the Scottyz Award for "Holy Shit, What a Thread!" in the year 2012! ***** according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter (take that, Hiroshi Tanahashi!) and ProWrestling Illustrated!

    ReplyDelete
  57. That Fuj, he doesn't shout out Scott enough. He doesn't deserve his spot.

    ReplyDelete
  58. love that hogan promo.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Sorry, thats Adrian Adonis, not Macho Man.

  60. As the Senoir Vice President of Thread Moderation and Chief Executive Officer of Indy Geeks Who Might Be Signed Next, I feel that we here at the Blog of Doom Board of Directors (or, if you will, the BoDBoD) know what threads will draw best, and our true fans out there in the BoD Universe know that we're all about Poster Power!

    ReplyDelete
  61. The Brock/Undertaker thread will probably be ready to move up in January. I've scouted it and can see a lot of views.

Other are "CM Punk Vs Stone Cold?" and "Nobody Wants to See Cena Get His Win Back"

    ReplyDelete
  62. According to the site, we have almost five million followers!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Dammit... this topic will be on page three by the time I get around to digging up a YouTube video to refute that.

You win this time, Fuj. But I'll be back!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Done, and DONE!

    ReplyDelete
  65. So much pressure to draw as the blog champion. Hopefully I don't lose my smile like 96 hbk.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Late to the party here, but that was hilarious, Scott. Thanks for that.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Last Monday's threads were viewed more than all other third-rate no-football related blogs on the interweb!

  68. But Lisa was tearing him apart.
