Tweets
@AntonioCesaro - “the nerve of you to come here and blaspheme this great Nation about our education system and about the LEAGL citizens here” case in point

@WWEAJLee - Laboredly sighing "Ok fine, I'll put pants on" makes you stop and take a long hard look at your life.

Comment of the Day
Adam Curry doesn't share Booker T's enthusiasm for a potential Harlem Heat reunion:
I was a WCW fan during the 90s and I don't think I could pick Stevie Ray out of a crowd.
On This Day...
Batista & HHH went over RVD/Kane in the main event of Raw. Lance Storm and William Regal also defeated The Dudley Boyz in a tag team tables match. (2003)
Raven defeated The Sandman for the ECW World Heavyweight Title. Sabu also took on Rob Van Dam, as well as a tag team match between the soon departing Cactus Jack and Mikey Whipwreck taking on Tommy Dreamer and Shane Douglas. Below is a montage video of some ECW highlights from 1996. (1996)

  1. The Bo Dallas thing...is that the best way to debut someone? The reaction will surely will be lukewarm for someone the crowd doesn't know.

And where's his brother, Bray Wyatt? The former Husky Harris is now a hell of a promo.

  2. It's an awesome way to debut... depending on what he actually does during the Rumble! If he eliminates say Kane or someone it will be kind of a big deal

  3. It's an OK way to debut as long as they show a video package to the live crowd explaining who the hell this guy is. A better way to debut him would have him shock the crowd with a big elimination similar to Undertaker-Maven.

  4. When you said 'shock the crowd,' my mind immediately went to The Shockmaster.

They should put Bo Dallas in a glittery storm trooper helmet.

  5. I think that's why they went with Dallas, rather than Steamboat or Kruger or Ohno. They are guys they think have a shot at being really big stars and don't want to debut them as a nobody in the middle of the Rumble. Even if Dallas debuts and eliminates a person or 2, I think they would rather introduce those guys in a way that the attention is on them, and not lost in the shuffle of the Rumble.

  6. I predict Dallas will spend his career alternately being referred to as Bo and Ba.

  7. I'm pretty sure you could pick Stevie Ray out of a crowd. Just look for the fat guy that kinda looks like Booker T.

  8. " I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but that’s Badass!"

What are you, a girl? Yeah, let's rally behind the sissy!

  9. Just thought of a brilliant Rumble scenario - right before no30 hits, The Shield comes out and lays waste to a ring full of wrestlers before being ordered to leave or ran out of the building right before the final countdown. THEN at number 30 HEATH SLATER comes out and laboriously lifts every single person in the ring up one by one and eliminates them. It would be a great comedy moment if nothing else!

  10. Is the Shield in the Rumble tonight?

That was a hell of a beatdown by Steiner by Evolution, had never seen that

    ReplyDelete
  11. My guess would be no. I think they'll be doing run ins all night. Like a bad ass, serious version of Kaientai in the 2000 Rumble.

    ReplyDelete
  12. That'd be cool. Pretty pumped for Rumble, hoping they don't go the obvious Rock wins/Cena wins route, we will see.

    ReplyDelete
  13. One thing I'm wondering is: How is Tammy Sytch and Damien Darling able to book indy appearences together when there's a court order that's supposed to prevent the two from being anywhere near each other?

And six arrests in the span of four months? Even Scott Hall would look at that and say "Man, that's a lot of arrests!"

    ReplyDelete
  14. They're the deus ex machina for Ryback, Orton, and Sheamus not winning. I'm guessing any attempt to take out Cena, however, fails.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm thinking they will go the painfully obvious route but I'm also thinking it will be a fun show regardless since the Rumble is next to impossible to screw up.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Also, if it makes AJ feel any better, she doesn't HAVE to put pants on. Just saying.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Even "Hit And Run" Amanda Bynes would think Tammy's a seriously messed up person.

  18. 1995 and 2012 were also duds but every good concept has a few duds.

There have been bad Ultimate X and War Games matches as well but it doesn't mean the concepts aren't good more often than not.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Cheese and crackers man, ease up! Children might be somewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah but the point was kind of how hilarious it would be for Slater to run in there, the WM logo shining in his eyes, putting all his effort into lifting 10 guys off the mat and over the ropes one by one.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Tugboat as a surprise entrant!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Is there any recaps available from the Q&A's they did at Axxess? Can't find any.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Lindsay Lohan probably wants to party with her, though.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Punk/Dallas at WM! Rookie sensation is the only one who can beat the champ!

I don't like this idea personally, but if WWE is as high on Dallas as they say, there is no bigger proverbial rocket to strap to his ass.
