E! Network Developing WWE Divas Reality Series

The cable network is rolling out an intriguing slate of new projects, including a reality series following the lives of seven WWE rising starlets (think Stacy Keibler pre-George Clooney), the anticipated new series following music sensation The Wanted, a fan-driven talk show with überfan Ross Mathews, an innovative new interview show produced by Ashley Tisdale, a new "investigative" series from The Soup hosted by Joel McHale, a stereotype-busting show from producer Jack Osbourne and a look at Nick Cannon making over his grandma's house because...why not?

So apparently the Divas reality show being mentioned for the WWE Network is going to an actual network instead.  I won't be watching it but it'll likely bring in a bunch of 13 year old boys.

Comments

  1. This might have been interesting back when they had some marketable, interesting, and fapable Divas like Trish, Lita, Torrie, Stacy etc... but now it will be absolute death...

    ReplyDelete
  2. This was my big fear about the network. I can handle one show like the Divas thing, and just not watch it. But if that shit is outweighing classics, I'm passing.

    ReplyDelete
  3. What network?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Meanwhile, Tough Enough languishes... *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  5. Well, this solves zero problems with the Divas division...

    ReplyDelete
  6. This summer, a new game show from E! WWE® Diva™ Kaitlyn™ takes on all comers in the Case Race Challenge™, sponsored by Coors®!

I would watch the hell out of this show. Also, yes I would hit it.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Whoops. Thought all that was for the WWE network.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Well at least TNA will finally beat a wwe show in the ratings

    ReplyDelete
  9. So... they're gonna be wrestling less? more? please be less

    ReplyDelete
  10. Just read that it is going to follow the Bellas, Funkadactyles, Natalya and two rookies. Could they have picked any less interesting people to follow??

Unless they walk around in thongs and spontaneously start making out at random I don't see this show lasting long.

    Bellas = Cameos from Cena.

  13. Pick anyone else? Isn't that basically the entire division? The fact that 1) this group is boring at shit and 2) there's no one else to choose from, speaks volumes about what a waste the Divas division has become. Why bother at this point? Either fully commit to a strong divas division, or do away with it and use those 10 minutes and run a lower mid-card match, give Kofi, Barrett, someone else promo time, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Well could be a good thing if it actually gives the divas some personality.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Funny that you listed the IC and U.S. champions as lower mid-card... sad that you were accurate in doing so.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Even with that, this is one of the weakest groups of Divas. I'm not saying they are hideous or anything... but when was the last time we had a less doable group of Divas?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Kaitlyn and AJ are two that might actually be interesting, maybe Layla too

    ReplyDelete
  18. "WWE needs to smarten up and realize that they offer a unique product."

    this x100

    ReplyDelete
  19. Let's see the models you're doing.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Any defense I offered would likely be called a fake anyway... I'm just saying I expect a diva/celebrity to be something that doesn't seem real, like a fantasy object, and the current ones are nothing you can't see in a bar/club or some shit in Anytown USA.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The WWE have zero confidence in themselves. I hate to bring up the Attitude Era but that was the time where they really did not give 2 shits what anyone thought or what anyone else was doing. The whole social media thing took them by such surprise that they still think they're playing catchup and have to imitate what everyone else is doing so the cool kids will watch

    ReplyDelete
  22. Natalya's story should be interesting to follow, the press release describe her as the perennial "bride's maid," always getting skipped over while others get the opportunity. Maybe we will get a sense of how she feels about this. Naomi's story might be interesting to follow as well, being the third wheel of the NXT Diva 3 of AJ, Kaitlyn, and Naomi. Not so interested in the Bellas and Cameron although it would be interesting to see how they felt about their Wrestlemania match getting cut since apparently the show starts there.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I get a sense that the WWE want to keep kayfabe with AJ's character thus they want to avoid getting too deep into her real persona. Interestingly that same consideration eliminates Kaitlyn from the show as well to avoid showing their friendship. Although it would have been fun seeing AJ interacting with Big E. Those two were a riot in the AJ Wrestlemania diary videos. I would totally watch the AJ and Big E Show.

  24. Wait a minute. A reality show about some what attractive people who have no real talent , and immediately want the spot-light without paying dues or earning it?

How is this ever going to fit in with the E! Network?

    ReplyDelete
  25. It has nothing to do with who he's doing. It's supposed to be women ordinary people like ourselves have no chance with.

The question should be if George Clooney or Alex Rodriguez would bang this crop of divas? Actually forget just banging. George is freaking engaged to one of them.

So the answer to that question is a resounding hell no.

Maybe AJ but she's not gonna even be on the show.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Don't forget Tyson Kidd.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Fabulous Moolah, Judy Martin, Velvet McIntyre and Sherri Martell say hi...

    Oh wait, those were pre-divas.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Those are female wrestlers... not divas... or else I just didn't think of that and don't want to admit I was wrong. 50/50 either way.

    ReplyDelete
  29. All of it number two as well.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Cat fighting and backstage drama on the show leads to feud on WWE tv.

    ReplyDelete
  31. i used to love watching that burke chick in bikinis when i was like 16.

and that was my first of howard stern.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah, E! wasn't nearly as terrible back then. True Hollywood story was decent as well.

    ReplyDelete
  33. For sure, but because WWE is PG now, there's no way they'd skank it up so maybe it'll lead to a feud over toothpaste or who washes and doesn't wash the dishes.

    ReplyDelete
  34. BS on the kayfabe. She was total out of ring, mark AJ in those videos.

    ReplyDelete
  35. You need to watch NXT. Paige and Emma are both more than decent in the ring whilst maintaining a definite air of fapability.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I had a bit of a thing for Sherri. And you KNOW she'd be a maniac in the sheets.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Wait...there's going to be a WWE Network? When is the launch date for that?

    ReplyDelete
  38. I wonder why Vince Russo doesn't write reality TV. I seriously can't think of a more perfect match.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well...I'd say this was the most misogynistic, insulting thing I'd read all day, but I'm on the internet, so not even top ten. Bonus points for using "something" instead of "someone," I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  40. The day after WrestleMania 28.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'd of definitely of watched a show like this during the TV-14 bra and pannies heighday. Just like creating compelling wrestling programming, sex applel doesn't work in PG.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I honestly haven't watched E! since Talk Soup with Greg Kinnear and the days of SNL reruns.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Funnily enough, the show could be unscripted and STILL be better than any Diva story line withing the past 4 years.

    ReplyDelete
  44. all that effort for the trademarks & registered trademarks. I'll give you an upvote.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I didn't find Wendy Richter hot at all. Or Rockin' Robin, for that matter. Now...Nicole Bass or Luna Vachon on the other hand...HUBBA HUBBA

    ReplyDelete
  46. fantastic bod, I can give her that. Hell, I even like her face when she's not muggin for the camera

    ReplyDelete
  47. Wild On!

now I just fap to her mammaries...er, memories.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm still waiting Playboy to make her an offer. I don't think she'd turn it down.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Seems like a waste of money to me, I don't see how a TV-PG Divas show like this really does well with their primarily adult audience. I guess they are trying to expand outward and bring in more of that younger demographic. Anything can happen in World Whacking Entertainment!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh, cool, I must have missed that. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I really had a thing for Woman when she stopped being Robin Green... of course I was like 10...

    ReplyDelete
  52. So basically The Ultimate Fighter

    ReplyDelete
  53. Wow, that lineup looks exactly like the kind of programming Robert Wuhl made fun of in his great 1995 movie "Open Season". It's only a matter of time until they add a show about a vigilantie nun.

    ReplyDelete
  54. It's a bigger mystery than why Don West isn't an infomercial pitchman by now. Another totally perfect match and Don's at least a lot more likeable than that Anthony Sullivan douchebag.

    ReplyDelete
  55. But without the profanity and without Roy Nelson winning just by sitting on everybody.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Yeah, Fitness Beauties and Bikini All-Stars on MAVTV are much better shows than what this show will surely be. Even Doheny Models still had hot chicks wearing skimpy attire in-between all of the complaining about the day-to-day horrors of a modeling agency.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Open season is soooooo good

    ReplyDelete
  58. To me that's the problem with the divas. Are they eye candy? Because the pg thing cools off lots of sex appeal. Are they really supposed to be wrestlers? Seems unlikely. Are they actresses enhancing the show? IMO this show will fail miserably

    ReplyDelete
  59. I've never been a womens wrestling fan and I'm even into the knockouts and Tara rules! The knockouts being sexier helps but they are actually interesting characters and IMO Tara is pushing Trish for the goat

    ReplyDelete
  60. I agree outside of aksana. She's so terrible in the ring but so hot and has a great voice. I don't know why they split her from Cesaro. The other divas are no hotter than girls I see walking down the street. And probably just as good of wrestlers

    ReplyDelete
  61. Just because you know they signed up for something in which they'd be leered at by leacherous perverts doesn't mean you need to proudly be one.

    ReplyDelete
  62. That's what they are there for. That is how I and others can and should view them. I doubt you'd have been offended if a female had made the same or similar comments about the SUPERSTARS.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Yeah, you'd think thirteen year old boys today probably have access to way more vulgar stuff and that they wouldn't even bother with this rinky dink stuff.
