Imagine they had to take him off TV for an extended time? It would be fantastic to have him forfeit the title and have a tournament. You could easily do 4-6 weeks of build finishing with the finals.
Oh come on, that would never happen. Cena's character is too honorable to do something douchey like that to hypothetical tournament winner Rey Mysterio.
Oh man, if Ryback's sloppiness actually injured Cena and puts him out for an extended period of time, then we're about to see the depush to end all depushes. Zack Ryder will be protected like Taker compared to how badly Ryback will look over the next several months.
He'll be fine for the ppv. They'll keep him out of the ring for a few weeks, than he'll squash Ryback in the cage like he did Miz and Morrison 2 years ago at Extreme Rules
Its clear what needs to happen, I'm surprised no one has suggested it yet. Cena comes out and loses to Ryback before the PPV. He is then challenged by Bo Wyatt and Dean Ambrose, who turn face, aligning themself with the returning team of Dean Douglas and Dean Malenko and calling themself the BoDeans.
Man, don't even get me started on Boba Fett pulling job duty. Probably backstage politics. Han didn't want anyone stealing his spotlight, the fucking diva.
You know, I didn't become a huge Star Wars geek until my early 20's. This whole time I'd heard about Boba Fett, right? I mean, people talk about this guy like he's a God. So, I sit down and finally watch Jedi, expecting Boba Fett to at least do a bench press set with a planet on each end of the bar.
Nope.
He says nothing. He does nothing. And he gets beaten by a dude who's blind and waving a fucking staff around like Mr. Magoo!
I've only seen bits and pieces, so perhaps he watches other things, but from what I've seen he watches Donna Summers, with her even talking to him and such.
I always wonder why the rest of the Alliance didn't resent guys like Han and Lando being made generals all the time. They're in the Alliance for like two weeks and are given the title of general?? No trial period to make sure they are not going to turn on you??
When he comes out tonight does he use his voice that ACCENTUATES when he wants to really STRESS SOMETHING to the UNIVERSE or does he laugh it off with his game show host voice?
Jjjjjacking yo thread: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/magazine/news/20130429/jason-collins-gay-nba-player/?sct=hp_t11_a0&eref=sihp#all Even though he isn't technically active(that can change pretty fast now), it's another big step toward equality in Sports. I applaud him.
Yeah... he could likely be the Jackie Robinson of homosexuality... hopefully more athletes (and Football players) start coming out now and we can melt some of the testosterone fueled prejudice in our society.
This won't change anything nor is this a trend setter. John Amaechi came out years ago...Until there's an active player who's GOOD, it's still on the fringes of the league.
i 100% understand your point, but coming out is such a personal decision that I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that this wasn't a publicity ploy to get on the talk show circuit and get a book deal but rather a hard decision that he thought would be beneficial to society, sports, and the gay community. The Rock is a hypocrite. When you make the backbone of so many of your promos questioning someone's sexuality and make being gay a slur and an insult, it seems hypocritical to then praise someone for coming out in sports. The fact that being gay is still considered an insult is a large part of the problem.
Amaechi was already retired (although had a peak year well beyond anything Collins did and changed his name to Bison Dele). He also went on to commit suicide sadly
ehh, I like the Rock but he made a career (not just Cena, of which as you probably suspect I saw little of that feud) out of questioning people's sexuality.
Homosexuality in Sports was a completely different landscape in 2003-2004 than 2013. I'm pretty positive, if he came out then, the Nets would of cut him because of it.
There's a joke to be had about Achilles's heel and Cena's face status, but I can't figure it out right now.
ReplyDeleteSo if Cena is really hurt do they put the strap on RyLuger? My guess is that he ends up being fine by the PPV
ReplyDeleteImagine they had to take him off TV for an extended time? It would be fantastic to have him forfeit the title and have a tournament. You could easily do 4-6 weeks of build finishing with the finals.
ReplyDeleteheelturn.gif
ReplyDeleteI hope this isn't too serious (and yes, I AM serious).
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell are they gonna do without Punk and Cena?
ReplyDeleteTeam Hell No Ryback vs The Shield. Twice in a lifetime!
ReplyDeleteThey still got Taker!
ReplyDeleteOr do it in one night of tv then have Cena come back right after the finish, you know, whichevs
ReplyDeleteOr you could just blow through it all in a week and make it moot by having Cena walk out and claim to be the real champion.
ReplyDeleteI like the cut of your jib!
ReplyDeleteThat's what he gets for trying a heel turn without warming up first.
ReplyDeleteAnd then have Cena beat whoever wins said tournament for the belt on the same night
ReplyDeleteI'd put the belt on Jericho
ReplyDeleteOh come on, that would never happen. Cena's character is too honorable to do something douchey like that to hypothetical tournament winner Rey Mysterio.
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly happened? If it's legit, is it a case of Cena hurting himself or was it because Ryback got sloppy again?
ReplyDeleteOh man, if Ryback's sloppiness actually injured Cena and puts him out for an extended period of time, then we're about to see the depush to end all depushes. Zack Ryder will be protected like Taker compared to how badly Ryback will look over the next several months.
ReplyDeleteOh my, the ODDS!!! are clearly against Cena again. Guys, I don't know if he's gonna be able to do it.
ReplyDeleteHe's as over as he's ever been. It'd be a good choice.
ReplyDeleteJR said the injury's legit, which means it's a work.
ReplyDeleteDave Meltzer said it's legit, but not a tear.
ReplyDeleteNo, two weeks, the finals of a WWE Championship Tournament are no match for the Main Event Promo segment.
ReplyDeleteHe'll be fine for the ppv. They'll keep him out of the ring for a few weeks, than he'll squash Ryback in the cage like he did Miz and Morrison 2 years ago at Extreme Rules
ReplyDeleteIts clear what needs to happen, I'm surprised no one has suggested it yet. Cena comes out and loses to Ryback before the PPV. ReplyDeleteSince they said it was an achilles injury, I'd say Cena hurt himself
ReplyDeleteBreaking news: Apparently Cena came to Vince's hotel room with a tear in his Achilles tendon and told him this was the greatest injury he'd ever had.
ReplyDeleteI'll just leave now.
Much better than Scream 09.
ReplyDeletea 32 man tournament would be sweet, maybe ending with the final 8 for a ppv. I dig tournament, then again that is too much like a real sport.
ReplyDeleteFantastic?
ReplyDeleteCena wins the title, in his "redemption", and then drops it cause he rolled his ankle?
That's fucking terrible!
Yes the angle hasn't been good, but imagine if Star Wars ended with Luke dying in a freak starship accident.
Isn't Jericho due to leave soon? I thought his deal was only January til April.
ReplyDeleteThat's not really a problem. Han is a strong enough face to carry the company. Chewie and Lando will have to battle it out for the #2 spot.
ReplyDeleteNothing ever wrong with squashing Miz.
ReplyDeleteI thought Lando was only doing that so Vader didn't kill the citizens of Cloud City.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't?
ReplyDeleteLuke was nobody's favorite character.
Bam!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Han wasn't going to hold a grudge over something pretty damn noble.
Man, don't even get me started on Boba Fett pulling job duty. Probably backstage politics. Han didn't want anyone stealing his spotlight, the fucking diva.
ReplyDeleteBut that didn't really happen! People did line up to get into Bret's hotel room to emotionally confide their admiration for him.
ReplyDelete...except that it's Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt...
ReplyDeleteWhy so serious?
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious that WWE just needs to shut down for a while
ReplyDeleteThat's not obvious to me. Why do they eed to shut their profitable business down for "a while"?
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to be hyperbolic.
ReplyDeleteI can't help you there, but this could help you to be hyperbaric.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.hyperbariclink.com/
Jealous of that mask merch, brother.
ReplyDeletelike this?
ReplyDelete"He's gay"?

ReplyDeleteHHHHSSSHHH.... Aaaaaah...
Crowd was pumped for it and I remember it being quite good. Why not just do that as the main for Summerslam and have Punk return then?
ReplyDeleteYou know, I didn't become a huge Star Wars geek until my early 20's. This whole time I'd heard about Boba Fett, right? I mean, people talk about this guy like he's a God. ReplyDeleteNope.
He says nothing. He does nothing. And he gets beaten by a dude who's blind and waving a fucking staff around like Mr. Magoo!
They roll off of the tongue better, but RyLuger is definitely appropriate since neither guy can "win the big one" on PPV. ;)
ReplyDeleteBut he mouths off to Vader in Empire. Dude, that's badass. ;)
ReplyDeleteLesBack makes my mind go elsewhere
ReplyDeleteComment of the day or GTFO
ReplyDeleteBut the real question would be does everybody want to be closer to free?
ReplyDeleteI thought he was watching Bea Arthur?
ReplyDeleteI've only seen bits and pieces, so perhaps he watches other things, but from what I've seen he watches Donna Summers, with her even talking to him and such.
ReplyDeleteHe was watching the actress Diahann Carroll. She was pretty big in the late 60's up until about the mid-80's.
ReplyDeleteI always wonder why the rest of the Alliance didn't resent guys like Han and Lando being made generals all the time. They're in the Alliance for like two weeks and are given the title of general?? No trial period to make sure they are not going to turn on you??
ReplyDeleteWhen he comes out tonight does he use his voice that ACCENTUATES when he wants to really STRESS SOMETHING to the UNIVERSE or does he laugh it off with his game show host voice?
ReplyDeleteWell Han *did* blast Vader to give Luke time to destroy the Death Star.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I never got the love either.
ReplyDeleteJjjjjacking yo thread: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/magazine/news/20130429/jason-collins-gay-nba-player/?sct=hp_t11_a0&eref=sihp#all
ReplyDeleteEven though he isn't technically active(that can change pretty fast now), it's another big step toward equality in Sports. I applaud him.
I'd do this only if they were going to have Ryback or Henry destroy him and have some sort of build for Cena's inevitable return.
ReplyDeleteYeah... he could likely be the Jackie Robinson of homosexuality... hopefully more athletes (and Football players) start coming out now and we can melt some of the testosterone fueled prejudice in our society.
ReplyDeleteLuBack?
ReplyDeleteThis won't change anything nor is this a trend setter. John Amaechi came out years ago...Until there's an active player who's GOOD, it's still on the fringes of the league.

And short of losing his head, Cena will still be all over TV.
ReplyDeleteYeah we went through this around survivor series, if cenas alive he's the focus of raw
ReplyDeleteThe Rock wasn't questioning Cena's sexuality, it was more questioning his manhood. Completely different things although similarly semantically.
ReplyDeleteAmaechi was already retired (although had a peak year well beyond anything Collins did and changed his name to Bison Dele). He also went on to commit suicide sadly
ReplyDeleteImagine if John Cena died? Holy shit
ReplyDeleteWe've been taking him for granted guys
ReplyDeleteI'm going to enjoy John Cena from now on
ReplyDeleteThis dude is a 12th man on the bench and had 41 garbage points...he might as well be retired he's so under the radar.
ReplyDeleteehh, I like the Rock but he made a career (not just Cena, of which as you probably suspect I saw little of that feud) out of questioning people's sexuality.
ReplyDeleteI agree to your second point... Kobe Bryant got in trouble for calling a ref a fag not too long ago, and he was one of those "much respect"ers today.
ReplyDeleteLuke needed bullshit magical powers to be cool.
ReplyDeleteHan was born cool.
Homosexuality in Sports was a completely different landscape in 2003-2004 than 2013. I'm pretty positive, if he came out then, the Nets would of cut him because of it.
ReplyDeleteI remember it going around a few years ago, Eric S. Mentioned it once I think.
ReplyDeleteWHO'S BETTER THAN JASON COLLINS????????????????????
ReplyDelete
