Bloodletting 2K13

Nothing too shocking, but obviously guys like Bateman were a big part of that one season of NXT and seemed to fit what they wanted.

  1. I kinda hope WWE releases Tamina today, so somebody can make a "WWE releases Tamina into the wild" joke.

  2. They really, REALLY missed the boat on Bateman. Here was a guy who had the look the company likes, plus he had tons of personality. I read a description of him as "a wrestling Will Ferrell character" which seemed perfect.

  3. Has anyone congratulated JTG for being on the roster for over 5 years..

  4. Surprised to see Percy Watson got dumped. He was one of my favorite characters during the second season of NXT.

  5. Hey, isn't she the daughter of....

  6. They can't even find him, which is why they haven't released him.

    Have *YOU* seen JTG anywhere?

  7. The weird thing is, they released him but signed his glasses to a 2-year extended deal with a downside guarantee rumored to be in the ballpark of what Cody's mustache gets.

  8. So JTG is the Milton Waddams of the WWE?

  10. Surprised they let Pierce go. He's Dolph's younger brother. It used to be that simply being related to someone got you onto the main roster, unless you were Eric Angle.

  11. The releases of Percy Watson and Briley Pierce really surprised me. Percy had personality and was pretty fun in the ring as well, no reason why he couldn't of gotten to lower-mid-card status. Pierce being Zigglers brother was a bit of a surprise as well.

Bateman had personality but really stunk in the ring, extremely bland move set that he botched a lot. Sakamoto was a decent wrestler who they just used as a NXT jobber for the past year, no idea why he could of been a good Japanese style heel.

  12. Welease Wodger!

  13. I keep crossing my fingers, hoping Orton's on the chopping block.

Like Steve Perry says, "don't stop believin'."

  14. I keep hoping it's Miz.

  15. An hour passed and only one upvote (by me)?

    For shame.

  16. Who would down vote this?

  17. ...her mom and dad? Why, yes...yes she is.

  18. ^ Probably the only time I'll ever see 'perfect' and 'Will Farrell' in the same sentence...

  19. Nah, he still has to do the preshow for Extreme Rules.

    Like a true main eventer.

  20. Quasi-Thread jack, but has anyone else noticed when Hulk Hogan and Mr. T are hitting the Gorilla position at WrestleMania I that the Iron Sheik is standing to the left right before they hit the curtains, watching them walk out in street clothes? To me that almost feels like a treasonous crime for 1985, back when kayfabe wasn't completely dead.

It got me thinking, on a mildly related tangent what certain top-level people on the roster have been able to get away with in the past and not lose their jobs despite their conduct possibly warranting it.

  21. Who's downvoting these? Bigus Dickus?

  22. Bateman will always have that double date with Bryan and the Bellas, at least:

  23. Smallest restaurant ever!

  24. On the contrary, I actually hope they use those 10-20 guys on TV as jobbers, if nothing else. Better someone like Yoshi Tatsu (who they should be doing more with, btw) do a random four-minute job than, say, the US or Intercontinental champion.

  25. Miz: The most Must-See curtain jerker ever!!
