Comments

  1. Going to be a great show as usual!

    ReplyDelete
  2. Fuck yeah, it's The Big O! Finally, a reason to watch Impact!

    ReplyDelete
  3. I'll be flipping back and forth between this and the NBA draft. Watching David Stern get booed every time he steps to the podium is funny, but watching him play to the crowd and incite them is next level of hilarity.

I want him to cut a Ric Flair promo next.

    ReplyDelete
  4. This is the first year in a long time that, as a Sixers fan, I had some excitement in the first round. Even the year they had the #2 pick it was basically set that they were taking Evan Turner. They certainly started down a new path tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Are you disappointed with the Noel trade?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Are you happy with getting Noel?

    ReplyDelete
  7. That tacky brown announcer table cover needs spray painted black.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Whoa. Talk about a lack of interest. I'm watching 24 on Blu-Ray and contemplating the War Games DVD. Are the extras on the Blu-Ray worth it?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Next MEM member has to be Joe, right?

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'm hoping it's Aries and/or Roode. But most likely Hardy.

    ReplyDelete
  11. All I know is that my Celtics traded up to get Kelly Olynyk. I hated him more than any other player in the NCAA Tourney this year.

    ReplyDelete
  12. We know it won't be Rob Van Dam. Thankfully.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Good call, I was just thinking in terms of former members. I agree on Hardy, but I'd be all for an Aries face turn. The crowd doesn't want to boo him anyway, and he's not trying particularly hard to get them to.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I can't see Hardy in a suit. lol.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Not sure what to think yet. When the first report came out, it said the Sixers were the ones giving up a 2014 #1, and I was livid. But since they corrected it to the SIxers getting the pick, I'm better with it (though if it's a top 5 pick next year, it's protected). And it scares me that Noel has an injury issue, considering we just came off the Bynum debacle.

I like Holiday, but they weren't going anywhere with him right now. Maybe Noel (if he's healthy) and Carter-Williams can be a decent core.

    ReplyDelete
  16. See above. I'm mixed on it right now, but leaning toward liking it, I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ainge deserves his fair share of criticism, but I give him the benefit of the doubt in the draft. He doesn't hit every time, but he does more than most.

    ReplyDelete
  18. His busts were with Marcus Banks, JaJuan Johnson and JR Giddens but he hit on Davis and Powe in the second round and got Rondo, Bradley, Sullinger, amongst others.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Every Day I'm Musclin'? I dislike this dude already.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Tony Allen, Al Jefferson, Delonte, Perk...

    ReplyDelete
  21. He wore a tie as part of Immortal.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Perk was serviceable.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It looks like the top of an Atari

    ReplyDelete
  24. The hell? It sounded like a mass murder was cutting a swath through some of the off-camera crowd there.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Again: The hell? Suicide?

And that match was off. Not bad... just off.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, I don't mean everyone has to be an All Star. That's not really a realistic expectation. But I'll take drafting a starting center on a championship team who can then be spun for Jeff Green. You're just trying to draft pieces, and hit the occasional home run. Ainge does that as well as anyone.

He's in full-on rebuilding, talent acquisition mode now. Accumulate enough chips to either contribute (Rondo, Perk) or spin for a top-10 player (KG trade).

    ReplyDelete
  27. I was JUST thinking they should pull a Malenko, have Suicide win and unmask to be AJ Styles or something.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm over this X-Division three-way title defense. It's stale.

    ReplyDelete
  29. It was someone committing suicide ... during a suicide match.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  31. This Ryan Howe guy looks like he would fit right in.................... in 1992 USWA.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Damn, you beat me to the Van Hammer joke!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm a few minutes behind, but was that not the least enthusiastic "This Is Awesome" chant ever?

    ReplyDelete
  34. What the holy fuck?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yeah THAT won't get old quick!

    ReplyDelete
  36. OK...Taz made note of it. The joke is officially DEAD.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Adam Ohriner will get a WWE developmental contract my midnight.

    ReplyDelete
  38. So Daffney, tell us about your last sexual experience with a man:

    http://www.boredwrestlingfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/lauren-interviews-daffney-o.gif

    ReplyDelete
  39. Reminds me of Vladimir Kozlov.

    ReplyDelete
  40. And when he debuts on RAW he'll play a kazoo to the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  41. ..and he'll be Adam O'Riley: Horswoggles cousin or Sheamus' wacky sidekick.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I bet they debut him by having him destroy Ryder in a squash :P

    ReplyDelete
  43. I heard the Van Hammer joke... missed most of the match on the john, though. Looks like I picked the right match to need a bathroom trip.

    ReplyDelete
  44. And Taz made the joke again just to make sure the joke was dead.

    ReplyDelete
  45. The woman on this commercial sounds like Vickie Guerrero.

    ReplyDelete
  46. His WWE name would be:
    Flex Phillips

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ryan Howe reminds me on Stevie Richards.

    ReplyDelete
  48. "Interesting..so then what?"

  50. Well, I still think this could be an Ace... but then again, WHO? None of them (the known ones) could fit in that role.

    ReplyDelete
  51. http://i.imgur.com/hIBmI.gif

    ReplyDelete
  52. Please, just cripple Velvet now.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I'll go with Aries.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Mickie needs to go full glam. It looks crazy when she dresses up for interviews but then comes to the ring looking like Daisy Duke.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I think it works with her disingenuous gimmick. Like she's trolling TNA's redneck audience.

    ReplyDelete
  56. ODB done copped a feel, doo-dah, doo-dah
ODB done copped a feel, Velvet's still walking, blah.

    ReplyDelete
  57. How is the visual of Mickie having Velvet's leg on her shoulder a BAD thing?

    ReplyDelete
  58. The announce desk looks like the furniture you buy from Walmart and construct yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Velvet Sky has the worst ring psychology of any wrestler (male or female) I've ever seen.

    ReplyDelete
  60. To this day, I still can't explain it. But I would do wonderful things to ODB, given the opportunity.

    ReplyDelete
  61. It's from IKEA's fugherucerberbebhergen collection.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I've said for years that she looks better than 90% of the WWE's women.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Caught a part of EY's show on Animal Planet... Can't say he came out badly there.

    Also, YAY MICKIE!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Good. No no more title matches for Velvet. Become a valet or something.

    ReplyDelete
  65. First, Gail needs to come out and FINISH HER!

And this crowd's not nice. Oh well.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Oh, and for the record, I'm sure the first Suicide wasn't Mr. Perkins.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I give Velvet's post-match crying a .4 Kaitlyn

    ReplyDelete
  68. Please be Kaz or Daniels...

    Please be Kaz or Daniels...

    Please be Kaz or Daniels...

    Please be Kaz or Daniels...

    ReplyDelete
  69. Roode is the man.

    ReplyDelete
  70. THAT would be downright hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Well that seals it. New member is Joe.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Knicks get Tim Hardaway Jr.

    ReplyDelete
  73. James Storm as next MEM member?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Before Gunner, maybe. Now? I'm not so sure.

And HOLY SHIT, they're coming down here August 3. Think I might have to make the trip

    ReplyDelete
  75. Adam Ohriner is the best Big O since Ricky Ortiz.

    ReplyDelete
  76. "What about his crotch Brah? Was there anything diffrent there? Was he bigger or smaller Brah?"

    ReplyDelete
  77. Roode is one of the few TNA guys with cool music.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I like Magnus, but not as Generic Babyface.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Okay, that might make Magnus a pretty big favorite for the Top 4.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Gorilla Monsoon would say, Upset City!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Unless Magnus is winning the BFG series, I wouldn't have wasted a win over Roode on a random Impact. But then again, I probably think Roode's a bigger deal than TNA does.

    ReplyDelete
  82. "Korea suicide??"

    ReplyDelete
  83. WTF is Chavo doing with the Bros? Also, Bully's doing pretty well tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  84. The "lay off the carbs" line was funny.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Chavo gets lamer with every passing episode.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Somebody forget the belts?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Next challengers? Please? Before Storm somehow fully devolves into Road Dogg.

    Okay, I'll take it.

    ReplyDelete
  88. OK, That line from Taz was funny.

    ReplyDelete
  89. My only issue is calling Tara a guy. And I withdraw my request... just kick his face off and go back to channelling Road Dogg.

    ReplyDelete
  90. This team needs Joey Ryan to be complete.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I would not be recommending that little segment for any "best of" awards.

    ReplyDelete
  92. They REALLY dropped the ball by not making Storm The Guy. His schtick isn't my bag, but he definitely has It, and the TNA crowds love him. Out of all their aborted Guys--AJ, Joe, Storm, etc.--I think the most money was there to be made with Storm.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Yeah, I gotta agree, I always liked Storm and thought he could have been a big deal with the right push.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I agree with that guy ... Taz sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  95. They could've had their cake and eaten it too last year. Aries beats Roode at Destination X to cement his spot, and add former world heavyweight champion to his name. Aries drops the belt back to Roode at Hardcore Justice, and loses his rematch at No Surrender. Storm wins the BFG series, and he and Roode have the exact same match at BFG except for the strap. Storm gets Hardy's run with the belt from BFG to Lockdown, where he drops it to Bully.

If Storm takes off as much as I suspect he might've, he could chase Bully until BFG, win the series again, and get his belt back there. If his run did nothing, then you can always go with Dark AJ this year.

    ReplyDelete
  96. http://i.imgur.com/xP73f.gif

    ReplyDelete
  97. Sorry, that was STUPID, Joe. IF Aces interfere, Kennedy's ten points down. Let the idiots dance, and just beat on Kennedy some more.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Good riddance, Stern.

    ReplyDelete
  99. If TNA was smart(hahahahahahahahaha) they would promote Eric Young's episode on the Steve Austin podcast.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I don't understand this ultimatum. So if the guy behind the mask DOES reveal himself, he gets to keep a belt he won in a match he had no business being in? If everyone KNOWS he's not Suicide, wouldn't it make more sense to reveal himself and remain champion?

    ReplyDelete
  101. Well, how important is the mask? Or remaining hidden? If everyone knows who you are, you're a target.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Anyone OTHER than AJ is a waste from a storyline standpoint.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Jeff Hardy would make sense storyline wise as well.

    ReplyDelete
  104. But wouldn't you rather be a target WITH a belt?

    ReplyDelete
  105. It's definitely something within Aries character. AJ's got the BFG series to win.

    ReplyDelete
  106. True. I actually never thought of that.

    ReplyDelete
  107. ... so does Aries, theoretically.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Scream09_HartKillerJune 27, 2013 at 8:56 PM

So, Suicide is Suicide, and whoever's wearing the mask now isn't Suicide? If they don't know who Suicide is in the first place how do they know Suicide tonight isn't Suicide?

    ReplyDelete
  109. Scream09_HartKillerJune 27, 2013 at 8:57 PM

    I vote Alex Shelley.

    ReplyDelete
  110. The fact that he's still wrestling in japan atm would kind of make that tough.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Why is Bully talking about "Suicide" cashing in his belt for the WH Title? He's refusing to take the mask off, thus he forfeits the belt.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Scream09_HartKillerJune 27, 2013 at 8:58 PM

    That's disappointing.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Whoever it is has some big man boobs

    ReplyDelete
  114. I hope it's Waltman ...

    ReplyDelete
  115. I thought it was AJ but the build seems off.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Scream09_HartKillerJune 27, 2013 at 8:59 PM

    Aries! Good choice.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I like it. I still don't think it's fair that he's champion, but I do like it.

    ReplyDelete
  118. They sure taught him a lesson after he harassed Hemme

    ReplyDelete
  119. Gideon, your cookie is in the mail.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I'm digging it. And not just because I called it immediately.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Scream09_HartKillerJune 27, 2013 at 9:01 PM

What if the belt could also be a shield?

    ReplyDelete
  122. He's losing to Bully. If anything, this'll make him an easier target in BfG, probably distracted by Aces all to hell.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Wow, Garnett, Pierce and Jason Terry to the Nets.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Yeah. That fucked me up too.

    ReplyDelete
  125. KG still has to okay it. And it's not six years ago, so it's not as significant as it seems.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Yeah, I didn't necessarily mean it would be a game changer. Just a lot of big names. I guess it's good from Boston's standpoint to alleviate some money (they take on Wallace's contract, but move Terry's). Though the 3 #1 pick they get probably won't be very high.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Moving Storylines: Success. Bully's next opponent is named, MEM builds up, Storm and Gunner have someone to beat on for now, Mickie's hopefully done with Velvet, BfG Series continues...

Entertainment: Average: Hit or miss at best. Not bad, but can't be called better than good at best.

Wrestling: Good, spotty at times, but nothing downright bad.

Overall: Good. Not a failure, and that's all that matters some weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  130. What makes you think this is going to stick? They could just as easily have Sabin win the title back next week.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Good to see that after the TNA guys abandoned him at the PPV, Sting's getting together a group of guys that he can trust, like Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe and...hey, wait a minute.........
