If you're looking for specific PPVs, Summerslam 2002, Unforgiven 2002 and No Mercy 2002 are all good places to start. The Smackdown Six was featured heavily on all 3 shows, and No Mercy had the awesome Taker/Brock HIAC main event.
I'm pretty sure he was given Smackdown (with assistants and producers) the moment they split brands (in April 2002) and he was demoted in early January 2003 after a very loud argument with Brian Gerwitz (that almost got physical). Vince was just tired of arguing with him at that point and sided with his yes man Brian.
That whole era with the "Smackdown Six" (Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Edge, Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero) was so fantastic.
Heyman clearly isn't the guy to handle the money, but I really don't understand why some company doesn't pay him as much money as he wants to book for them. Every time he's been in charge creatively, be it ECW, Smackdown in 2002, or even OVW, he's turned it into absolute gold.
Summer of 2002 is when he started. Pretty sure he stopped by the end of the year.

Seriously, this isn't your personal question and answer board. Use Google, it's your friend
ReplyDeleteAs great as the Smackdown Six were, I hold a special place for Al Wilson.
ReplyDeletespmahn is right. Just because you can post doesn't mean you should.
ReplyDeleteHe was removed around No Way Out 03.
5 posts and you're seriously getting close to being a troll. If you have nothing worthwhile to contribute, your stay here will be short.
ReplyDeleteIf this was a WWE locker room, you'd be getting the shit kicked out of you by Bob Holly.
ReplyDeleteIn other words, let Scott decide what e-mails he wants to publish here, and if you don't like it, then we got two words for ya:
DON'T CLICK.
Or "Suck it".
What was the argument about?
ReplyDeleteI looked online, dickhead.
ReplyDeleteha, yeah. Cos I really abuse it... Jeez, lighten the fuck up. It's a blog.
ReplyDeleteNow, hold on. If I remember correctly, at one point he was booking one feud at a time, i.e. Paul London vs. Kidman.
ReplyDeleteIf that's anything to go by, he's a fantastic storyteller. The feud was great despite it being between what the company would consider jobbers.
Indeed.
ReplyDeleteOh was that for listening in on phone calls or something?
ReplyDeleteI googled it, and it took two seconds.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, buddy.
