Money in the Bank Live Thread

Comments

  1. So commercials for the PPV during the pre-show match, isn't the pre-show match the commercial for the PPV already?

    ReplyDelete
  2. "Mankind's doing really good out there." just doing live commentary

    ReplyDelete
  3. Yeah, that was lame

    ReplyDelete
  4. Jason Jeffrey BallJuly 14, 2013 at 5:49 PM

    Super hot crowd!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Good match, better crowd

    ReplyDelete
  6. Crowd's got into the Uso's. Tag wrestling formula, you can't fuck it up.

    ReplyDelete
  7. It's Philly and the show is stacked with ROH talent and RVD, going to be very hot all night.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Agreed. It's a good Philly crowd tonight

    ReplyDelete
  9. Best pre show match by far. I love that Superman punch.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Poor Seth, have to carry the guy across the ring while being the smallest guy there. Sweet match. Should've been on the main card

    ReplyDelete
  11. If they chant "This is Awesome" for the pre-show tag title match, what are they going to chant during the Money in the Bank All-Stars match?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sweet match. They actually had me hoping for a schmozzy finish to keep this feud going. These guys need to just trade those belts back and forth and get each other over.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Took it's sweet time getting there, but once it did that match hit all the right spots. The hot crowd certainly helped, really impressed with the Uso's.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Kofi will make a good commentator someday, IMO

    ReplyDelete
  15. why isn't big show in the mitb all-stars match?

    ReplyDelete
  16. i thought big show did a good job last time.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I like the Uso's. I wish they also let the Primetime Players get some wins

    ReplyDelete
  18. why is vicki there? I thought she was fired.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think that Henry vs Cena is going to suck. There's gotta be a reason why Henry hasn't wrestled at all since returning. Maybe he really does retire after this match?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I fully expect him to be.

    ReplyDelete
  21. She was fired as General Manager. Doesn't mean that she can't do something else.

Or maybe Big Show just got her in. He does have an Ironclad Contract...

    ReplyDelete
  22. I like how the preshow isn't kayfab. When heels are doing it, they just kinda chill and act normal.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Show's great in this role.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Why should he be?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Big Show and Kofi are great in this role

    ReplyDelete
  26. That's why i actually fell for his retirement last month, he really has wanted to retire for a year or so now, so i wont be surprised if he wraps it up this summer for real.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Because he's a former champion. It's not the "Money in the Bank All-Stars" match, it's the "All Star Money in the Bank" match.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Banged up/taking time off.

    ReplyDelete
  29. All of these promos actually have me excited to see RVD... wwe brainwashing at its finest

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ultimate Warrior's taking Kane's spot tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Someone forgot to tell Vickie it's not kayfab.

    ReplyDelete
  32. They probably shouldn't be too good in that role or else they'll never escape it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh god the Smackdown MITB crew wont even get a PPV entrance!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Can't wait to watch, even though I had all the results inadvertently spoiled on reddit by some assholes who copy-pasted the spoilers from the thread of that likely-employee who always posts the results before each show.

    ReplyDelete
  35. And here we go again

    ReplyDelete
  36. He's legit injured atm.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Link? I'm curious to see this reddit.

    ReplyDelete
  38. THE WAYYY OF THE WARRIAHHH WILLLL PREVAILLL!

    ReplyDelete
  39. It's the MITB Afterthoughts match!

    ReplyDelete
  40. The match itself isn't even gonna be aired. We'll see highlights during the entrances of the AJ vs Kaitlyn match.

    ReplyDelete
  41. If he's that over, why didn't he carry TNA to new heights?

    ReplyDelete
  42. I just read them. This live thread should be fun if that dude is legit.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Neither has Kurt Angle. Doesn't he isn't badass.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Unleash the jobbers!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm just surprised I got the WHC MITB correct. I NEVER predict the right outcome in multi-man matches.

    ReplyDelete
  46. DEAN AMBROSE DOESN'T EVEN GET AN ENTRANCE FUCK OFF

    ReplyDelete
  47. I hope he isn't because that would just about ruin this whole damn thing for me.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Unleash the robotic 911.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Jobber time!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Cesaro being a proud American might make sense if he was still the US Champion.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Zeb needed the time for his monologue.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I could totally do without Zeb's monologues during ring entrances.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Boo boring American Stuff

    ReplyDelete
  54. I thought it would be his significant other, but I figured one of them would win. They've been getting the most airtime recently.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Never been an RVD fan, but having just been reminded that the show takes place in Philly, at the very least I am looking forward to his entrance.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Cesaro probably goes over here huh? Can someone post the results and a star rating for the tag match. I missed it

    ReplyDelete
  57. US flag with a taco on it WOULD be pretty bad ass.

    ReplyDelete
  58. LOL, that was so bad it's funny.

    ReplyDelete
  59. The US Champ starts in the ring but Zeb gets a promo? Ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  60. "Hey, Monsoon. Whatever happened to those fancy cars Del Rio used to drive out here?"
"I don't know, Brain. Maybe he lost all of them to his four ex-wives!"
"THAT IS NOT FAIR TO FLAIR!"

    ReplyDelete
  61. Shield won, ***

    ReplyDelete
  62. If they allow these guys to cut loose for 20 minutes without any major restrictions on what they can do (So they don't steal the show) this match could be great! Either way MITB is a guaranteed *** snowflakes match isn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Shield over Usos via Rollins powerbomb to the turnbuckle and Reigns spear combo. 2.75-3 stars (more stars if they'd been given more time)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Lesson: never give heels a catchphrase if you don't expect fans to chant along with it.

    ReplyDelete
  65. So is The Miz. So is Rey Mysterio.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Jason Jeffrey BallJuly 14, 2013 at 6:07 PM

Is it awful for me to ask for the link also when I just ordered this thing?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Lol Sandow is the best

    ReplyDelete
  68. Slack jawed!!! If only he cribbed the entire line off Jesse from Predator.

    ReplyDelete
  69. with all these heel promos, they are making the fans not care about the match

    ReplyDelete
  70. Silver lining - US champion was not on preshow

    ReplyDelete
  71. It has Cesaro, Ambrose, Cody, and Sandow in it. It's gonna be good.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Hey, I'm a Philadelphia guy...you don't mess with Rocky Balboa!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Prediction: we break 2000 comments tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I honestly have no idea when Barrett is coming out anymore with the 10 different theme songs he has had in two years

    ReplyDelete
  75. Jesus, how many entrance themes does one man need?

It's like he's stockpiling them for the apocalypse.

    ReplyDelete
  76. This one sucks as well.

    ReplyDelete
  77. With a third of those during the all-star ladder match

    ReplyDelete
  78. Prediction : only about 200 of those comments will be coming from people who bought the PPV tonight

    ReplyDelete
  79. I will say I am legally watching the show having ordered the internet stream this evening

    ReplyDelete
  80. We the People chant... a bunch Claudio carryovers, good deal

    ReplyDelete
  81. http://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/1iay46/spoilers_mitb_results_inside_this_thread_100/

Beware, I looked at his Payback thread and he called ADR winning and the twist, so dude is probably legit.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Link for those of us who don't mind being spoiled?

    ReplyDelete
  83. Well it's the only chant anyone in the match has, and yea Claudio is big in Philly thanks to ROH and Chikara

    ReplyDelete
  84. This crowd is great.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Its easy to forget how big Swagger is, cause he doesn't really wrestle like a big guy.

    ReplyDelete
  86. WWE may not be very good at getting people over, but they've always been good at stealing people's heat for other people.

    ReplyDelete
  87. It's below in my response to Jason Jeffrey Ball.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Wade couldn't have positioned that ladder in a faker way if he tried!

    ReplyDelete
  89. You guys are freaking me out. If it's fucking Orton...

    ReplyDelete
  90. he's actually pretty decent in the ring, his Ecw days he actually had future ya know.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I'm pretty sure I'M a former world champion, with how they've prostituted the titles in recent years.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Really should of made him a Paul Heyman guy when he first came up, he would of been big then. Good in the ring, just his promos kill everything.\

    ReplyDelete
  93. Ugh, I really wish John Cena had just taken the fall last year instead of getting the DQ win. Because it's really a mouthful for Cole to say that only once has someone cashed in for a world title and not successfully won it, or whatever needlessly complicated phrase he uses to explain the odds.

    ReplyDelete
  94. They shoulda left this match for the pre-show, you guys.

    ReplyDelete
  95. that's why he really needs a good manager.

    ReplyDelete
  96. 7 guys won their first world title by cashing in their Money In The Bank contract? Damn that's way too many!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Some sweet stuff from Cesaro and Swagger

    ReplyDelete
  98. Daniel Bryan!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  99. LADDAH MUSCLE BUSTAH!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Phew. I thought Rhodes was going to injure him there

    ReplyDelete
  101. Muscle buster! Excellent.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Hopefully Hogan returns tonight too.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Man, Cody and Cesaro must have no desire to walk in the future.

    ReplyDelete
  104. That looked painful.

    ReplyDelete
  105. HaHa anyone catch that Bella twins tweet?

    ReplyDelete
  106. Gotta say I'm liking this right now much more than I expected.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Ha, Cole sneaking in a note to JBL... "Yeah we do SmackDown on Tuesdays... but we tell people it's Friday."

    ReplyDelete
  108. You all gonna kill me but,I think the MITB has become a generic match.

    ReplyDelete
  109. That was a sick DDT!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Summer Rae is really beautiful!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Pure gibberish! Literally hfjkgifgwegffgfy8isahkfjgygugfiaf before they cut it off.

    ReplyDelete
  112. What was JRs quote about bumps like that? "Learn how to fall, my ass" or something like that?

    ReplyDelete
  113. Sure...but it's entertaining nontheless.

    ReplyDelete
  114. That's my biggest problem with MITB.

It used to be that you'd build a guy up, and he'd ride the momentum to the Royal Rumble, and then he'd go on to WM and there would actually be a STORY.

I can't remember the last time a guy won his first world title after a long build, preferably at WM or some other PPV. I think Mark Henry maybe?

Either way, we're essentially getting the end of the story without ever getting the build up. It's why guys fail after cashing in. Watching a guy use a Free World Championship coupon isn't as compelling as watching him work to get there.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Fandango has the hottest valet

    ReplyDelete
  116. Might be too late by now, his quick title win and then quick drop to nothingness have damaged him.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Formulaic? maybe. Generic? No. I'll watch an episode of Law & Order or House no matter how formulaic it is... because the formula is great

    ReplyDelete
  118. not that I hate but the charm of the old ones is gone

    ReplyDelete
  119. Macho Man had the hottest valet. Always.

    ReplyDelete
  120. TERRY FUNK SPOT FROM THE NEW TERRY FUNK!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Vintage Terry Funk!

    ReplyDelete
  122. haha they did the old ecw spot

    ReplyDelete
  123. alright I think this is the better word"formulaic"

    ReplyDelete
  124. Cole: "Talk about innovation" for a spot Terry Funk did 15 years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  125. It was from her butt.

    ReplyDelete
  126. okay ambrose put a pretty fucking cool twist on that

    ReplyDelete
  127. Holy Shit To obad he didn't quite pull it off, but the moment when Dean's head was stuck in the ladder and being lifted was incredible!

    ReplyDelete
  128. That's a given when you do the same thing every year. they should have never gone over 6 people per match.

    ReplyDelete
  129. It was great for Edge, but it's a diminishing effect with every other opportunist cash-in. When's the last time we had a Bret/Shawn-style rise from the midcard ranks to finally win the big one? Jeff Hardy in 2008?

    ReplyDelete
  130. Miz's title win with MITB was actually built pretty well.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Nice spot.

    ReplyDelete
  132. What is Booker T DOING that Teddy Long needs to keep filling in for him all the time?

    ReplyDelete
  133. that's pretty much what i think

    ReplyDelete
  134. listen to the universe...king is the worst

    ReplyDelete
  135. too awesome to end... I'm hoping for another 10 minutes

    ReplyDelete
  136. Someone get Sin Cara's trampoline!

    ReplyDelete
  137. To be fair, I would imagine he'd rather call them "fans." It's all Vince trying to copyright fandom.

    ReplyDelete
  138. He's comin'' for YOU N*GGA!

    ReplyDelete
  139. Don't say the WORD!.

    ReplyDelete
  140. It was, but it was odd to see a heel basically do what faces did previously by persevering through the tag and midcard belt ranks. Heck, his intro video at Mania 27 was practically built for a face.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Why doesn't Summer Rae just get the briefcase for him when everyone was down? They are all heels, sportsmanship shouldn't matter

    ReplyDelete
  142. I missed the first 15 mins, but this match looks AWESOME so far!!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Whoa, Cody busted hardway.

    ReplyDelete
  144. This has been awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Yeah sandow is definitely winning this....he hasn't done a thing in this match, hence WWE logic is...he must win!

    ReplyDelete
  146. Jey Uso: WHC Champion?

    ReplyDelete
  147. This is a great match. MITB is becoming a must see ppv like the royal rumble.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I really want Rhodes to pull this off.

    ReplyDelete
  149. World Heavyweight Champion Champion?

    ReplyDelete
  150. "the son of a son of a plumber"

    ReplyDelete
  151. 3.5/5 thus far on my book.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Sandow screwing over Cody is kinda awesome..

    ReplyDelete
  153. I know logic and wrestling don't mix, but how hard would it be to have matches be no DQ, except for in the event of outside interference? That seems to make the most sense to me.

    ReplyDelete
  154. World Heavyweight Champion Champion of the World.

    ReplyDelete
  155. YES. That was awesome! lol

    ReplyDelete
  156. Shit, this match is great.

    ReplyDelete
  157. SANDOW PUSH?!?

    ReplyDelete
  158. I did NOT see that coming. But Sandow? Fucking awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  159. That's it, I'm outta here...

    ReplyDelete
  160. Dude on reddit got it right. Fuck.

    ReplyDelete
  161. We all mocked them for the "theme" PPVs, but at least one stuck, and stuck hard.

    ReplyDelete
  162. That was awesome although the building might have exploded if Cody won.

    ReplyDelete
  163. With the blood on his face and the hope spots, plus the molten-hot crowd for Cody, that was just the PERFECT way to end the match.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Speaking as a Sandow fan... I don't like him winning.

    ReplyDelete
  165. GRADE: 3.75/5,anyone agrees?

    ReplyDelete
  166. MORE SANDOW PROMOS.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Jason Jeffrey BallJuly 14, 2013 at 6:26 PM

Awesome match...I hope that match just MADE Rhodes.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I for one can't wait to see the Philly crowd's reaction to the other MITB match!

    ReplyDelete
  169. THE RHODES SCHOLARS EXPLODE AT SUMMERSLAM!

    ReplyDelete
  170. Rhodes-Sandow feud... I'm with that!!

    ReplyDelete
  171. Dammit, that reddit guy is legit! Anyway...awesome match, I'm glad they are giving Sandow (and hopefully Cody) the push. I've always thought the best mitb matches aren't the ones with the best spots, but the ones with the best stories and this one told some great stories...with the ambrose and the shield and Cody damn near stealing the show only to have Sandow sneak a win off him.

    ReplyDelete
  172. At least I had the Cody Rhodes babyface turn right. Thought he'd win it though and Sandow would turn on him afterwards. I like it better this way.

    ReplyDelete
  173. On the preshow!

    ReplyDelete
  174. Street fight match, how about this way.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Why was zeb just standing there? Come on, a manager is supposed to help their person cheat

    ReplyDelete
  176. I'm surprised it wasn't Fatal Fourway

    ReplyDelete
  177. Guy on reddit "predicts" all of these matches with 100% accuracy.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Who would have thought that a match made up exclusively with villains would feature an act of betrayal?

    ReplyDelete
  179. Sandow is perfect for this MITB winner spot. He can legitmately win the WHC and as a heel he'll have crowds coast to coast hating him for his weasly future win.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Only reason I'm still watching is to see them shit all over it.

    ReplyDelete
  181. Well, that's where the money was on this match. Still waiting for whoever's leaking/using the results to get swereved.

    ReplyDelete
  182. This was like Cody's coming out party.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Not only that, they just turned Cody face. Great match, ****1/4, IMO

    ReplyDelete
  184. I really, really can't see Sandow cashing in successfully. And they're really playing up the whole "It's guaranteed! Sandow is the next world champion!" So I could easily see him failing, and I really think that might be the better path. He'd be an awesome IC champion, but I'm not sure he's at WHC level yet, although that's never stopped them from anointing a guy anyway. And hey, it's only the WHC.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Looks like Vince has won the internal power struggle for now.

    ReplyDelete
  186. Wow, a bit of strong booking totally got Rhodes over right there. Could not have predicted Sandow taking it there, interesting booking.

    ReplyDelete
  187. WWE did a really good job making that match all about him.

    ReplyDelete
  188. I think I'd go with a solid 4 snowflakes for that one, great stuff from ALL participants (except sandow...but that was the point) some innovative spots, and great storytelling.

    ReplyDelete
  189. Plus, let's face it... that big gold belt has been missing a robe for a LONG time.
