Apparently these two had a 2 outta 3 falls match at a recent NXT taping that was amazing. This one is from a few weeks ago and is pretty good in its own right.
I'm watching the 2 out of 3 falls match mostly because I heard Generico busts out his "diving through the corner ropes into a swinging DDT" move which I LOVE.
Half the guys moves are something you can love. You can say the same thing about Cesaro, which is probably why these two work as great together as they do. I'm avoiding any and all spoilers about the match until it airs
The thing that blows my mind most about him is how good his facial expressions are for a guy that wore a mask his whole career. He is such an amazing underdog babyface. The crowd is going to go apeshit for him when he hits Raw.
I've never actually seen this dude wrestle so I just watched a vid of his top moves and he's REALLY sloppy with those brainbusters, especially the ones on the apron. He's lucky he hasn't hurt someone.
Sadly, I haven't seen any of his unmasked stuff outside of this match with Cesaro. This guy can get so over with the crowd if WWE books him right. And if his facial expressions are as good as you say they are, that really is shocking since as you said, he's had a mask his whole career. He's made such a name for himself in ROH, and in WWE(if everything goes right) he can make an even bigger name
The thing is, even with his mask you could tell he had great facial expressions. it's one of the reasons he got so over in ROH after a fairly lackluster start.
For sure. My point was, if you see his stuff out of context you could get the wrong impression. I'm glad for the guy, but I miss me some El Generico already.
Refunds? I'm considering suing over the use of "MOTD". Clearly, I own all rights to 'of the day' related acronyms. I even changed my real name to Of The Day
i didnt get it until i saw the link.

ReplyDeleteHis moveset really is tremendous.
ReplyDeleteIf people liked that Zayn guy, they wouldn't do a Mexican Soccer chant at him. pretty sad, dude.
ReplyDeleteIf Zayn's in the main roster by WM30 time then the reaction he gets at the Raw show might be that year's 'Yes! Yes!'/Fandango moment.
ReplyDelete"Penultimate Warrior" was far more clever.

ReplyDeleteRefunds are available at the door.
ReplyDeleteHell they should just roll with it. No reason a pasty white Canadian can't have "OLE!" as his catchphrase.
ReplyDeleteI did try the veal, however.

ReplyDeleteSarcasm or trolling?
ReplyDeleteHE WAS JOKING YOU TWATS
ReplyDeleteSarcasm, clearly.

ReplyDeleteOne time he did a shitty looking brainbuster on the apron to Eddie Kingston, but Kingston is fat and awful and likes hurting himself.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise I've never heard anyone call Generico sloppy. He's one of the best dudes going. He's taken some stupid bumps in the past though.
"He's taken some stupid bumps in the past though."
ReplyDeleteThat applies to every indy wrestler pre-Benoit incident.
Sorry, you never know around these parts...

ReplyDeleteIf this was on PPV for a WWE title, both guys would be over like a shot.
