Just in case people want a live thread for tonight's show, which seems to be generating some buzz based on the bullshit marketing about Weidman being the Spider-Slayer. Now Jon Jones might be the guy to beat him, but not anyone at 185 for the foreseeable future. But GSP is certainly convinced that Weidman is the real deal, and he would know.
Our MMA guy previewed 162 with John Morgan of MMAJunkie.com

Also have a written preview up. Upset brewing?
ReplyDeletehttp://placetobenation.com/ufc-162-preview/
After Sonnen missed that spinning back punch at Silva/Sonnen 2... all my hope for someone beating Silva at 185 vanished. That Jon Jones fight has GOT to happen!
ReplyDeleteLet's go Silva, time for another quick win.
ReplyDeleteWhat happens if Weidman wins? I know Silva gets an immediate rematch, but what if Weidman wins that as well?
ReplyDeleteJones vs. Silva or GSP vs. Silva will not be a title fight. They'll be catchweight fights if they happen. Can't blame the fighters for that though.
Weidman can absolutely beat Silva. He BELIEVES he can beat him, for starters. Many of the guys Silva fights psych themselves out and do Silva's work for him. I don't think Weidman's going to do that.
ReplyDeleteAnd Weidman's skill set matches up well with Silva's. His wrestling is strong and his grappling is claimed to be sick, by those in the best position to judge those things. No Chael Sonnen pillow fists from the top position in this fight.
Of course, Silva is the greatest ever and for good reason. But Weidman is legit and has a real shot at this.
Hey, anything's possible Scott, and this is coming from a Silva fan. No one is unbeatable, and there is always a younger, up-and-coming sensation that has the ability to take over someone else's spot.
ReplyDeleteWho does everyone like in the other fights? Lots of good match-ups.
ReplyDeleteI'll go with:
Frankie by decision.
Gracie by sub.
Boetsch by decision.
Siver by KO.
I dunno, Chael Sonnen thought (and still thinks) he could beat Silva, and he lost both times.
ReplyDeleteWeidman is talented, the problem is Silva beat everyone(or almost),Belford was the guy i thought had a chance and guess what, knock out.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of Chael's "confidence" was posturing and showmanship to boost buys. In that 2nd fight, he panicked and made a dumb choice (spinning backfist).
ReplyDeleteI don't see Weidman panicking and, more importantly, Weidman finishes dudes. Chael's ONLY shot at winning was a 25 minute decision.
Ya know, I'd like to see that rematch. Sure, it was an epic KO. But it was a one-shot KO. Not that it was a fluke, but it's not as if Silva was schooling him the whole fight. I think Belfort might still have something for him.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Belfort's strength is striking, which plays right into Silva's strength. Weidman's strong where Silva is more vulnerable.
"What happens if Weidman wins? I know Silva gets an immediate rematch, but what if Weidman wins that as well?"
ReplyDeleteI dunno, the world falls into a vortex?
Seriously, if Silva loses, he loses. He's 37 and has accomplished EVERYTHING. There's nothing left for him to prove and age will catch up overnight, that's how it happens to all athletes. Rare that any of them leave while still on top and the best, rare.
well I think they're gonna do this,he's becoming a monster literally.
ReplyDelete9-0, hasn't beaten anyone, hasn't fought in a year. Instant number 1 contender and future mega-star.
ReplyDeleteEven a McMahon doesn't have the balls to try and push all that bullshit!
What'll happen is that we'll get some Dana White gifs that'll make Vince's face at Linda's consolation speech looks cheerful.
ReplyDeleteMcMahon's don't have any kind of ball,maybe Shane,but the rest,no.
ReplyDeleteWanderley Silva is a warning to everyone.
ReplyDeleteOther people seem to be convinced that Weidman is gonna win but I'm not. The UFC has done their damnedest to build Weidman up and I can't fault them for that, but I just ain't buying it. If he wins I will be happy to say I was wrong but until that time I am picking Silva. I am by no means saying Weidman is a push over but even great fighters are made to look novice by Silva. I almost can't watch Silva or GSP fights anymore because they are foregone conclusions. Like, Brock Lesnar vs. RVD in the King of the Ring finals foregone conclusions.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how a lot of people say Rory MacDonald is over hyped despite having a better resume than Weidman. Note: Lots of people could be saying similar things about Weidman but I haven't been paying any attention.
ReplyDeleteIf Weidman wins the title and the rematch then the Middleweight division becomes a more intriguing place to be honest. Silva has been dominant so long that the entire Middleweight division has seemed moot because no matter who prospers they were just gonna lost to Anderson anyways.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking, who do you guys think is the most beatable champion in the UFC? Despite my fandom I've gotta say Ben Henderson. He has had nothing but close fights(besides Diaz) since winning the title.
ReplyDeleteAldo has also looked pretty beatable recently too. His gas tank has betrayed him in the Hominick and Edgar fights.
Does anyone have a reliable "TV Channel" this will be on? My usual "TV Channel" is offline right now...
ReplyDeleteBarao and Mighty Mouse
ReplyDeleteThe First Row
ReplyDeleteI'd say the most beatable is Cain. JDS has his number plus there's a greater chance at Heavyweight for a one shot KO.
ReplyDeleteHad a hard time getting that one to work, wanted to me install a bunch of stuff then still didn't work after I did so
ReplyDeleteThe possible superfights against GSP or Jones would be at catch weight and non-title regardless. GSP has pussed out of this fight several times. If Weidman wins, it takes the wind out of the sails of Jones/Silva but it'll still happen.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit that the channel we're talking about can be pretty intimidating. It tries to trick you into clicking a bunch of things, you need NONE of them to watch the broadcast. I watch this channel through Chrome with AdBlock and have had no issues. You may have to wait 20 seconds and click on a couple X's or click the word close... but it's fairly reliable...
ReplyDelete... for this sort of legitimate television viewing.
I think I got it now. Thank you. Man legitimate TV watching has gotten complicated...
ReplyDeleteI'd argue that Cain has JDS' number just as much as JDS has Cain's. JDS knocked Cain out but Cain dominated JDS for 25 minutes. He brutalized him. I think Heavyweight is gonna be a two man race for a while.
ReplyDeleteDid Goldberg just namedrop Mark Henry!?
ReplyDeleteBarboza has some sick kicks. Those leg kicks are nasty.
ReplyDeleteThe thing is they put it every penny on Sonnen(not something wrong to do)now they are digging to find someone,Weidman is talented but,2 or 3 more fights wouldn't be bad for him.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sang I disagree with you completely, but their rematch was much closer than their faces led on. Cain 100% won that fight, no question... but not by enough to be decisive. Honestly I think if they went best of 7 fights, we'd need a fight 7.
ReplyDeleteHas some real power, never saw a stoppage by low kick.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. I think these guys are going to wind up fighting 4 or 5 times.
ReplyDeleteNapão smasshhh!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what Napao means but it's a cool nickname.
ReplyDeleteThat happened so fast I missed it.
ReplyDeleteGSP didn't "puss" out. 10 lbs is a huge difference in fighting. GSP walks around at 190 or so and cutting 5 lbs wouldn't give him the big size advantage he has when he cuts 20 to fight at 170.
ReplyDelete"Big nose" in portuguese.
ReplyDeleteGonzaga via crazy ape strength!
ReplyDeleteThat's the old anchor punch. Ali used it to beat Liston in their return bout.
ReplyDeleteThat's disappointing. I always thought it meant something like napalm or explosion.
ReplyDeleteGSP has turned down the fight several times. He'd rather lay around on guys for 25 minutes at 170 than give the people the fight they want to see.
ReplyDeleteCommon thing here,stupid nicknames.
ReplyDeleteSame here...phone call defeated it
ReplyDeleteHendricks is more dangerous than Silva IMO for GSP's style.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but don't the "dream" fights loose their luster?
ReplyDeleteMe neither...makes me happy as a traditional martial artist...
ReplyDeleteI heard that also...want sure if it was the same guy
ReplyDeleteMaybe, but GSP wasn't going to fight Silva anyways. Maybe the Jones fight? I would think that could still pop a major buyrate regardless of tonight's outcome.
ReplyDeleteI doubt it's THE Mark Henry but it was pretty cool hearing his name. That's about all the mainstream presence WWE has nowadays. "Oh man that guy has the same name as a wrestler!"
ReplyDeleteDana white, please make the dream happen,Mazzagatti vs Lesnar.
ReplyDeleteI'll agree that Hendricks has the best shot against GSP of anyone in the last 5 years at 170. GSP even ducked that fight to take on an undeserving Diaz. I'm sorry, I'm biased. I just plain don't like GSP. He hasn't finished a fight since regaining the belt (BJ Penn's corner stoppage doesn't count). He just lays around on guys for 25 minutes... for his last EIGHT FIGHTS. He has AMAZING cardio, and should get full credit for that... but great fighters finish fights.
ReplyDelete... with the door as a judge.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping we'd make MMA legal in NY, but it got rejected. If it was made legal, Dana would throw every dollar he had to get Jones/Silva to headline the first MSG show.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but you are just plain wrong....GSP jabbed Koscheck for 25 minutes in their fight. The standing lay and pray.
ReplyDeleteNo,steel steps.
ReplyDeleteThe door, steel steps, and Botchamania's Japanese table as judges.
ReplyDeletereferee:iron sheik
ReplyDeletering girls:vickie guerrero and mae young
Oh shit, you're absolutely right about Koscheck. That was probably the most jabs in an MMA fight ever, even broke his orbital bone. Can't believe I forgot about that one...
ReplyDelete... still didn't finish him though.
I didn't mean to sound assholish in the beginning, it was meant to be sarcastically toned. But yeah, I remember it because it was joyous to watch Kos demolished.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite GSP fight is still the Jon Fitch fight. He put it on dat boy.
pretty meh fight.
ReplyDeleteWe're not so different... you and I. I think the only person I like less than GSP is Koscheck. Hated that guy since the second I saw him on TUF1... and speaking of TUF1... Chris Leben is next!
ReplyDeletedoes Leben ever had a shot for the title?
ReplyDeleteI'm rooting for Leben. I'm a fan and he usually puts on a good show. His fight with Akiyama from 116 is still one of my all time favorite fights.
ReplyDeleteNo but he was the first guy Anderson Silva fought in his UFC career.
ReplyDeletejust asking,not that he deserved.
ReplyDeleteI think the closest he ever was to a title shot was before he lost to Anderson Silva. I'm guessing had he won that fight he would have fought Franklin.
ReplyDeleteThis has not been an inspiring night of fights thus far.
ReplyDeletehe has some cool style and everything, but he's average at best in my opinion
ReplyDeletewell i'm reading death of the family to kill some time, gotta say that it's been awesome, hope to read the ending tonight.
ReplyDeleteYeah he's a guy who will usually bring a good fight(not this time) and has skill with some tremendous power but he's a gatekeeper at best.
ReplyDeleteHave you been reading all the crossovers too or just the main Batman title?
ReplyDeleteMain but,i'm have on my computer the tie-ins,i was dissapointed with the owls arc(everyone was just praising,i thought it was OK),Snyder pretty much writes the Joker the way I would, does eveything because it's funny on his mind.
ReplyDeleteI'd stick to just Batman, Batman & Robin, and Batgirl. The rest of the tie-ins were pretty subpar.
ReplyDeleteSome dudes just are made to be midcarders.
ReplyDeletePut a fork in Leben. His days as a relevant fighter are over.
ReplyDeletethe suicide squad as actually pretty good, even though the title it's gulty pleasure like the red hood(pleas DC give jason a solo series, those just make the series go mediocre).
ReplyDeleteIt is time
ReplyDeleteIt is time to leave
give me chills to go and let you here.
Brazilian verse, just perfect for the situation.
What idiot gave that fight to LEBEN?????
ReplyDeletethat's the ufc judges talent showed right there.
ReplyDeleteExactly
ReplyDeleteHe's always been more of a sideshow attraction than a legit contender... he's made a career of being the asshole from season 1 of TUF
ReplyDeletehere his just another of Silva'a victims.
ReplyDeleteLeben is the very definition of JTTS
ReplyDeleteGreat opener. Two tough dudes. Really good technique on both ends in round one.
ReplyDeleteSwanson is the truth. Wow. 145 is the most stacked division. In UFC, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteCub Swanson FTW! Wow, impressive win over Siver who looked jacked in this fight. He's fighting 145 and looks like he could fight with GSP.
ReplyDeletethreadjack:just finished reading Death of the family 9,5/10,just a tremendous story, damian death should have been there not in the Bat inc.storyline.Snyder is miles better in this one,the court of owls was so predictable it just was a basic 6/10,this one was near perfect.
ReplyDeleteMunoz fighting like a BOSS
ReplyDeleteFinish him munoz
ReplyDeleteI thought Death of the Family was great. Issue 13 is one of my favorite single issues of all time.
ReplyDeleteI thought the finale was great too when I read it but the aftermath and the events of Batman Inc where Damian died really made DOTF feel pointless.I still love the story but the finale feels disappointing now.
At first I loved the finale because I thought there was a great deal of potential with the family no longer trusting Batman and I thought there were some great stories to tell. That's why I wasn't let down when no one died initially. But then Damian died a short time later anyways and the family's lack of trust in Batman theme has been dropped and replaced with Batman going through grief and the family trying to pull him out of it. So the interesting thing that happened wasn't followed up and it has basically made Joker's plot seem pointless.
The arc still has a lot to love though. Using their history, making Joker a complete badass, and expanding on the relationship of Joker and Batman but it just feels like an immense let down. Joker had the whole family tied up and at his mercy and he did...nothing.
Don't want to sound like I'm ragging on it because I love the story. It's amazing. The follow up is what let me down.
kinda how i feel now.
ReplyDeleteWow, did I hear one of the judges call it 30-26 for Munoz? What the fuck!? Not saying Munoz didn't win the fight (he took 2 & 3), but Boetsch CLEARLY took the first round.
ReplyDeleteOne more thing,if Damian died in the DOTF it would made stages of grief so much effective, his death was like,"huh".
ReplyDeleteI agree. I just feel like Damian's death a short time later in Inc. took the heat away from DOTF. It nullified the whole point DOTF was trying to make. It would have worked better if Damian just died in #17 or they waited a while to kill him.
ReplyDeleteit's official batman is my number 2 DC series (behind only, the surprise of Aquaman).
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing good stuff about Aquaman. I keep telling myself I'll have to check it out and more and more issues come out and I still haven't started. I'll get to it someday.
ReplyDeleteJust caught me off guard,Johns really made him a threat, throne of atlantis was awesome, and this might hurt me a little but,he's actually more bad ass than batman in this series.
ReplyDeleteJust not a fan of ufc.. Im @ bar watching this w friends n its doing nothing to hold my interest... Except one match did hv a sharp shkoter spot!
ReplyDeleteRoger Gracie is the Horace Hogan of the Gracie family
ReplyDelete*Rorace Rogan
ReplyDeleteYou win. :: Turns off the lights and closes the door ::
ReplyDeleteRoger Gracie doesn't seem to be quite at "UFC level" yet... although I thought he had the first round. Again with the judges.
ReplyDeleteIt's like, me, you, AmericanWolves, and a very small smattering of others tonight... but I'll take it!
ReplyDeleteI vote that win too. That's practically the majority in your favor already!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of MMA and none of these fights are holding my interest.
ReplyDeleteIs his name pronounced "Hoger"?
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of Edgar so I'm rooting for Oliveira for the upset.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a Gracie thing. Royce, Rickson, Renzo, and various others... all H sound.
ReplyDeleteBuffer sticking the microphone under the ref's armpit is still extremely awkward.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's the joke. His name is really pronounced "Hoger"? Seriously?
ReplyDeleteFrankie Edgar looks like Hitler when his nose bleeds.
ReplyDeleteFrankie is SUCH a tough dude. Olivera had his moments but Frankie just picked up the pace. Friggin warrior
ReplyDeleteIt's not a "Gracie" thing, it's a Brazilian thing. If it starts with an R, it sounds like an H.
ReplyDeleteI never had much for him, but he fought his ass off tonight. This isn't the last we hear from Olivera either. His record is not that impressive in the past 3 years, but he's only 23. He's going to be a title contender, and most likely champion within the next 5 years.
ReplyDeleteI'll call it now; the reign of the king ends tonight.
ReplyDeleteWatching Silva fight is a special thing. What's this wizard got up his sleeve?
ReplyDeleteThe fight positioning is curious to say the least. They put Gonzaga and Leben on the pre-show, guys who are draws and were likely to be in interesting fights and put a couple woofers on the PPV card.
ReplyDeleteIt's been billed mostly as a 1 fight card though so as long as the main event delivers the buyers will likely be happy.
I'm pretty neutral on who I'm rooting for. I'd like to see Silva lose just because it rarely happens but I'm not desperate for Weidman to be the guy to do it. I think Silva will win but I'm not really rooting for anyone.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people are with you tonight. A lot of people also have nothing to lose.
ReplyDeleteWell, duh, dude. It's not like a family can just invent their own language. #withallduerespect
ReplyDeletePutting Leben and Gonzaga on the prelims wasn't too bad a decision considering Leben and Gonzaga haven't had tons of success recently in UFC.
ReplyDeletePlus hindsight lets us know that the Leben fight sucked.
I just cannot imagine Anderson Silva listening to DMX.
ReplyDeleteKid,time for your lesson.hahahah
ReplyDeleteIs this the appropriate forum to use the phrase "kick his ass, sea bass"?
ReplyDeletewell,that was different.
ReplyDeleteWhat did Weidman do to piss Anderson off? Must be pissed that so many people picked against him.
ReplyDeleteHOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCalled it.
ReplyDeleteSimply deserved,to much joking around this time.
ReplyDeleteWelp
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for one of these people who clown around like that(Silva, Diaz brothers) to get caught when they do that and finally he did.
ReplyDeleteNot to take anything away from Weidman but that was disappointing because it was so much more Anderson deserving to lose for being such an assclown.
ReplyDeletethere's one thing joke somethings to mess with your opponent psyche,Silva was looking like class clown.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Chris.your deserve this.
ReplyDelete*Vince McMahon voice* Weidman didn't beat Silva, Silva beat Silva.
ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness, Weidman just knocked out the GOAT. Didn't think he could do it but he did. Bonus points for finally knocking someone out when they try to act like a damn circus clown and not a fighter.
Anderson Silva; the dumbest fighter on the planet. I don't care how good you are, you don't stand in front of an elite fighter and taunt him.
ReplyDeleteJust like rocky time to man-up again Anderson.
ReplyDeleteCan't upvote this enough!
ReplyDeleteOf course this sets up the money rematch where they can sell it as "Silva's taking this really seriously, his pride is hurt forever" blahblahblah.
ReplyDeleteI'm just surprised this took 7 years to happen. He's been toying with guys for years now, you'd think someone would have at least got lucky and tagged him while he was showboating by now.
If it means anything though, Weidman definitely won the 1st round following the gameplan so it's not like Silva threw away a win. Weidman was doing exactly what the experts were saying he could and use his strength and power to hold him down and touch him up a little.
Silva you fucking idiot, made me lose 5 bucks.
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow Long Islander, this result makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't try my ass anderson, you basically came in the ring as parody of yourself.
ReplyDeleteChris weidman, hail to the new king.
ReplyDeletebeautiful punch.
ReplyDeleteI honestly feel like Anderson is just bored with UFC and didn't give a fuck, and basically was defying him to hit him... this was basically the real life version of The Great White Hype
ReplyDeleteHoly shit, I love "The Great White Hype"
ReplyDeleteSomeone else apparently did not...
ReplyDeleteI think Anderson acted that way because he knew Weidman would have his way with him and win a decision. This way, he has an out and can say he didn't take it seriously and just got caught.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that it happened like this because I feel like Weidman wasn't given the chance to PROVE how good he is because he wasn't fighting anyone. He was punching at one of those inflatable guys that you see on car lots. Maybe Anderson thought he would lose and wanted an out to make people think he just gave it away.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds crazy to say but it almost seemed like Anderson wanted to lose. It's like the end of Flair/Shawn when Flair just puts his hands down and allows Shawn to Superkick him.
I'm immensely baffled by what I just saw but dammit Weidman won, he's the champ, and the Middleweight division became wide open.
new chalenges finally for the division.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe what I just saw.
ReplyDeletethat sucks, hard.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that too. I just really don't know what I just saw.
ReplyDeleteOpener and semi-main were fantastic. What the fuck was Silva doing in there? Hot dogging like a chump and got knocked-out. If UFC had a version of the Slammy's, that would be "LOL Moment of the Year"
ReplyDeleteI honestly think he was burned out and bored with UFC and being champion
ReplyDeletewe are the flashpoint universe.
ReplyDeleteHe was punching at wacky inflatable arm falling tube man?
ReplyDeleteThe idea of the greatest mixed martial artist in the history of the sport losing the belt like that is unsettling. It's unseemly. It's both unsettling and unseemly.
ReplyDeleteI bet more than a few people made some coin tonight.
ReplyDeleteYes! I forgot what the rest of it was. That's what he looked like out there.
ReplyDeletedefinitely not smart but he's done it for years. always put on a crazy show like that. it's a big part of what made anderson silva anderson silva. it was bound to happen eventually.
ReplyDeleteIronic isn't,if he was gonna lose it,we would expect a war of some kind, but it ended with thud not with a bang.
ReplyDeleteVegas favored Weidman more than any other Silva opponent.
ReplyDeleteThat was like Flair grabbing the legging, yelling out "Now we go to school," and Steamboat cradling him for the victory...
ReplyDeleteGood for them,really.
ReplyDeleteWhat the fuck did I just watch?
ReplyDeleteIt's a dream,now wake up.
ReplyDeletei hope he doesn't retire. i would love nothing more than to see silva take things seriously again, come in and win the belt and dominate, then take a superfight before retiring.
ReplyDeleteHe just won't you can see that he's bored and heard he has a beef with Dana.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, if this happened at Silva/Sonnen 2... it would be the greatest moment in the history of MMA that would never be topped.
ReplyDeleteFuck em. Great cast and "I can beat Conklin and my meat at the same time." coming from an overweight Damon Wayons is so great.
ReplyDeleteYou cannot possibly book Silva in 10 more fights without a title match. Fuck, you cannot possibly book Silva in ONE more might without it being a title match!
ReplyDeleteI'm about ready to believe that. This doesn't make any sense. I'd be fine with Anderson losing. That happens. But like this?
ReplyDeleteDana said last week if Silva loses he gets an immediate rematch because he deserves it. If he seriously doesn't take it then i think he threw the fight and was ready to retire.
ReplyDeletefunny isn't,just non-stop laughter.
ReplyDeleteHe said in the interview for combate(brazilian channel) after the fight that he has now plans for his family, and he said the gonna think about coming back to octagon.
ReplyDeleteHe just signed a 10 fight deal.
ReplyDelete10 fights!!! kidding me,he's 37,time for the verse anderson.
ReplyDeleteIt is time
It is time to leave
Gives me chill inside to leave you here.
Anderson Silva should not get an immediate rematch. He should be fired for breach of contract. He agreed to fight Chris Weidman on July 6th, 2013 and he did not honor that agreement. Whatever he did tonight, it was not fighting.
ReplyDeletei thought that's just what he has left from his old contract?
ReplyDeleteWhy did you so immensely have to outdo my wrestling joke with a better one? Damn you!
ReplyDeleteTime to go for punishment Frank.Definitely.
ReplyDeletepost fight conference in 8 minutes
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8zXWq1n3i8
Well put.
ReplyDeleteah well.maybe not then. hi, im shittybulldog, i like to talk out of my ass.
ReplyDeleteNo. I don't remember exactly when it happened, but he signed a new 10 fight deal this year.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Gonzaga or Leben are draws as much as I personally like to see them fight. Leben for being Leben, and Gonzaga for Cro Copping Cro Cop.
ReplyDeleteWhy the fuck would you ask Dana if it was fixed? That's stupid.
ReplyDeleteTo anyone thinking Silva threw the fight - that's how the guy fights. He psychs people out with his taunting and movement. It but him in the ass in spectacular fashion, but it is what it is
ReplyDeleteit is but he was showboating excessively tonight even for silva. i think got way too cocky and confident and felt weidman had nothing on him. if he would have dodged the shot and counter-knock out it would be typical silva. leaning back and acting like he was falling down was overdoing it and cost him.
ReplyDelete
