TNA Running an Angle With the Howard Stern Show?

Bobby Roode has been doing an angle with Stern Show personality "Eric the Actor," in which he promises to do all of these terrible things to Eric if he shows up to "Bound For Glory." They are also planning to film a segment for "Howard TV" between the two.

  1. Dr. Andrews has been inside more wrestlers than Pat Patterson!

  2. Good start to Bryan on top of the card...

  3. Stephanie = Ratings. We all know it.
Seriously though. They need to trim down a bit, yeah? I like having an antagonist for Bryan. Even a team, but who's the real villain in here? I liked it as HHH/Orton and using Brad/Shield as a tool to punish dissenters, but that's 6 people already. Steph and Vince are overkill from a purely narrative standpoint.

  4. Raw rating up: Cool. If they can keep the interest up, more power to them.
Cena: I just ate, so no, I'm not looking.
X-Division: So be it. Not like anyone currently in the division is better than low-card material.
Roode: NO. JUST NO. Let it go TNA, shit like this is what makes you truly look second/third rate. And can also ruin a wrestler.

  5. It's just the usual post PPV bump, lets see how they do in the next couple of weeks, next week especially with no Cena and Daniel Bryan at the top of the card.

  6. If they sustain this type of rating in the weeks to come, then it's a veritable boon for Bryan's supporters. Of course, sensibility would dictate that several months would be more apropos to gauge Bryan's drawing power if things slip in the interim, but Lord only knows how long he'll get before they pull the plug.

  7. The ratings will slip in a few weeks due to football anyway so it will be tough to blame him for the decline in ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Vince and Stephanie are pretty much stooges. Vince especially took a total backseat on RAW. The real villain seems to be HHH, with Orton as his corporate champion.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Its so nuts to think that Vince is basically the Patterson/Briscoe of the Corporation now, right?

  10. It's just a wrapped arm bro.

    A winner is you.

  12. "Bryan we pushed you and ratings dropped, go fight Yoshi Tatsu on superstars"

Wasn't really all that hard actually.

  13. Cena's got a great pair of tits

    ReplyDelete
  14. Not so bad then. Title didn't specify, although the "after" might be a hint.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Pat might argue that one...

  16. I was expecting a bare arm with stitches and pus coming out of it.. so I'm disappointed..

  17. Vince is Brisco and Stephanie is Patterson (for obvious reasons).

Good to hear about the X Division; I hate Triple Threat matches in general.

  20. TNA does a smart thing by getting rid of the 3 ways (maybe Dixie saw the 'Smarten Up Dixie' sign this weekend)?

TNA turns around and does an incredibly stupid thing.

  21. Next thing you know, every X Division match will be an Ultimate X match, completely ruining the attraction feel of the match, like WWE did with Hell in the Cell, TLC and almost every other feud-ending match.

    *Cornette face*

  23. And then they'd have more crippled wrestlers for Dixie to fire!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yeah definitely.

One thing I noticed though given recent rumours of Vince eventually turning face for the long-rumoured power struggle with HHH is that when Steph hugged Orton Vince had a sort of disgusted look on his face. Not sure if that was intentional, but if it was, it's a great bit of subtle foreshadowing.

  25. He's going to debut a new gimmick when he gets back where he shoots protein shakes out of his nipples!

  26. That bandage makes his forearm look like a post-spinach Popeye.

Luckily, I don't think Cena can get popped on wellness for that.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Was I wrong to hear that in the Abraham Washington voice? I think that's how it goes.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Even without football, a slip is expected, I mean their top guy has left for 4-6 months, they'll have to work to maintain those who watch it for Cena.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I would quite like after this whole new corporation finishes, for them to go Evolution 2.0 and have HHH play the flair role to Orton's 2002 HHH.
