WWE Showing Interest in Prince Devitt?

According to Mike Johnson from PWInsider.com, WWE has been interested in Devitt for a while. It's also been reported that William Regal showed a tape of Pac (Adrian Neville in NXT) wrestling against Devitt to HHH and said that they could be the future of the company. They ended up signing Pac from that as Devitt went to New Japan. Although there hasn't been a deal made or anything, the WWE remains interested.

  5. Man ECW sure does get a lot of tribute type things.

  6. At this point, I don't see what Styles has to lose by going to WWE. He won't be much of a player, but he should at least get a good midcard run, make some money, and be around for opportunities if main guys get hurt. There's really nothing left for him in TNA.

The Heyman interview was interesting. I never knew that bit with Dennis Cara-what's-his-name was a work, or at least Paul getting him to play along after the fact.

Besides money it would depend of if he wanted to work that schedule. If he's content be may not want to be a big fish in a little pond.

  8. Sure, I can make that happen.

  9. Caveat: This is Paul Heyman talking. Lying is pretty easy for him.

  10. About to say. Heyman says the Coraluzzo deal was a work. Cornette and Coraluzzo claim(ed) otherwise. I'd side with them.

  11. Counterpoint: AJ Styles, assuming the WWE was interested and so was he, would be about 37 or 38 before he made it out of developmental. Is it worth it considering that he never developed decent promo skills and thus will never make it past the midcard (if that?)

  12. Actually, that is kinda funny. I suppose that's what happens with Joey Styles behind at the helm. Considering their relatively short life span, and relatively few historic moments, it's amazing how many more tributes they get (on WWE.com) than, say, WCW (which does get a lot -- just not as many).

But as long as they continue to bring the awesome, hit me with as many ECW tributes as they want.

  13. But what if they brought him in as a new Heyman guy. Gives him time on TV and work on his promos, while Heyman does all the main talking. Would give us some amazing matches like DB/AJ, Punk/AJ, Kofi/AJ, etc. Of course WWE already has an AJ so they'd have to change his name, which could be a disaster.
