Hey Scott
Long time reader, first time emailer. I was just checking out the WWE 2K14 roster, and I noticed that Darren Young was just added. I really find this funny because he wasn't there earlier today, and now here he is on a list with Hogan, Flair, Michaels, Goldberg, etc. Does he really need this special treatment now? Let's face it, before he came out, he really wasn't going anywhere. Had he not come out this week, there's no way we would be seeing his face anywhere this week. This just reeks of cheap heat. Are we going to see John Cena teaming with him Monday night?
They should put Darren on Big Brother. Gay AND black? The house would implode!
It would be stupid not to be able to use any guys on the roster. They better be putting Titus O'Neil in that game too
ReplyDeleteread somewhere that at least 2 peeps in the bb house have already been fired cause of their comments on the show, and they dont even know it yet
ReplyDelete*pancake patterson
ReplyDeleteftfy
Yeah, although both of them are going to be on the show until the end because anyone evicted now ends up on the jury rather than going home. So everything will have blown over and there will be no comeuppance on live TV. In fact, it's looking like Aaryn, the main racist, is actually in a good position to win the damn game. Basically everyone left is either colossally stupid or a vile human being, or both. It's been a terrible season, maybe one of the worst.
ReplyDeleteI've literally never watched a second of BB in my life but I was flipping channels a couple weeks ago and stopped cause I had heard about the controversy. They sucked me in, I'm not gonna watch everything (I stupidly watched last week's Sunday show and didn't know they don't eliminate people on Sundays. Never making that mistake again), but I'm following online and will try to PVR the elimination episodes.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, I know Aaryn the Racist definitely got fired, as did Gina Marie the Racist, and Spencer the Probably Racist was getting investigated by police for a child porn joke he made. I'm not sure about Amanda the Super Racist, but I read that her work's website had removed her name without explaination, so hopefully she got canned too.
There is NO WAY I'm missing the final episode when they tell these shit stains what has happened (I'd pay for it on PPV). But like Scott said, it looks like 1 of the Racists is gonna walk away with it.
If Darren Young was faking being gay it would be the greatest thing ever.
ReplyDeleteI said in another thread he should come out on Raw and do a Mark Henry-style swerve
ReplyDeleteI’m not opposed to having him in the game, I just find it
ReplyDeleteweird that really only have top tier guys listed….and Darren Young. I just find it really annoying.
It takes months of development time for a character to be created in a game(and I'm not talking about CAW). Considering the game's coming out in two months, I imagine that all the wrestlers that are going to be featured were locked in months ago.
ReplyDeleteWWE and 2KSports just decided to jump into the media hype and put out an announcement, but that's different from deciding to create him whole cloth.
Good for you.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt that the Prime Time Players were going to be in WWE2k14 regardless of the news regarding Young.
ReplyDeleteI was saying to my wife how bad it is, but we keep watching just hoping for some kind of swerve. Their new twist is bringing back one of the last 4 evicted houseguests (including this week)? Sounds like a winner.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're pleased for me
ReplyDeleteI thought you guys were making a joke about his name calling him Aryan but apparently that's just a coincidence?
ReplyDeleteThey already pulled that gimmick on BB Canada #Sameolstuff :)
ReplyDeleteThe Spencer pedophile joke is blown way out of proportion. The comments about Hitler and misogynist tendencies are much more troubling. Like, who doesn't love a good pedophile joke? "I broke up with my girlfriend the other day because she called me a pedophile. That's a pretty big word for a 6 year old!"
ReplyDeleteYeah, you laughed, you're burning in hell, admit it.
Anthony Jeselnik has a great version of that: "Me and my cousin are really close. Well, we were. I slept with his girlfriend, and now he won't speak to me. He should get over it, though. After all, he's only 12."
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree the Spencer thing is overblown. No need to involve the POLICE for what was obviously a joke that wasn't based in reality.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, I will never judge anyone for making/laughing at a pedo joke. He's played out now, but I laughed my ass off at the Old Pedophile on Family Guy.
"You're staring to piss me off you piggly son of a bitch... CALL ME!"
Pedophile joke thread, are we doing this?
ReplyDelete"Sometimes it feels like everybody is in love except me. Even the sex-offender who lives in my neighborhood is in a committed relationship. At least I presume so because lately all but one of the local children have stopped walking strangely."
Hey, everyone is fair game in my opinion. I would consider no-no's to be cancer victims. Unless the cancer victim is a pedophile, then it's back on.
ReplyDeleteThe roster they announced was solely for the 30 Years of Wrestlemania mode... Jobbers like the Prime Time Players were already in it, it takes time to add a character.
ReplyDeleteIt boggles my mind that in 2013 someone could be annoyed, angered, or upset that they put one a dem GAYS in da vidya game!
ReplyDeleteGrow up. If you have to remind yourself you're straight, you could play cawadoody, GoW, Madden, or ANY title on 360 that isn't WWE2K14.
Besides, if you're really THAT homophobic, why are you playing any wrestling game except Rumble Roses?
I'm not annoyed by the inclusion of Darren Young, I'm annoyed at however is in charge rushing to get his face up there with "30 Years of Wrestlemania" roster. Had he not come out as gay, he would not have been listed this week, unless his importance/status with the company had somehow grown in the last week without any of us knowing.
ReplyDeleteI think they should do an angle where he gets "fired" because he was gay (the Booker T "you people" angle.) Then I the end be like, "We didn't fire him because he was gay, we fired him because he was a ni-"
ReplyDelete*USA cuts the show off.*
I didn't used to like cancer jokes either, but they've grown on me.
ReplyDeleteTwo pedophiles were tanning on the beach. One turned to the other and said, "You're in my sun."
ReplyDeleteBecause WWE is interested in making money. And Darren Young (despite what you may think of him as a wrestler) is receiving some buzz.
ReplyDeleteYes they're trying to make money, but Young also deserves props for being the first openly gay wrestler ever. EVER! That is fucking huge.
I wouldn't really consider him the first openly gay wrestler ever. Kanyon was clearly out of the closet for some time and Pat Patterson was damn near running the company at times. Patterson was actually wrestling, albeit very rarely, during the Attitude Era. Not to mention being a featured TV character and filling various other roles such guest referee.
ReplyDeleteSee, that's why we should let the storylines play out and see what happens... finally the Prime Time Players master plan to get millions of dollars is revealed
ReplyDeleteKanyon wasn't out while he was in a big company. And Pat wasn't talking to the media out.
ReplyDeleteDarren is the first openly gay wrestler to out himself while employed by a major company.
I'd rather him get attention because of his (and Titus') talent, but whatever works I guess. As long as they don't use this to make the PTP into Billy and Chuck '13 (hey, we're about to get Los Matadores '13...if Tito doesn't return to manage Primo and Epico, I riot!)
ReplyDelete"Can't you see that man is a ni-"
ReplyDelete"Anthony Jeselnik" and "great" don't belong in the same sentence. Then again, humor is subjective.
ReplyDeleteOrlando Jordan?
ReplyDeleteNo it wouldn't.....he would just be another Amanda flunky
ReplyDeleteOh, you mean the dude who has gained more mainstream attention than anyone besides Cena is suddenly being promoted? Weird.
ReplyDeleteBisexual isn't gay.
ReplyDeleteI see what you're saying, but in terms of tolerance, there's no difference.
ReplyDeleteIt's not like only gay people are scrutinized while bisexuals are accepted.
I'd actually say bisexual people are treated worse, since a lot of gay people blame them for bringing diseases between hetero and homosexual people and say that they're lying or in denial about their sexuality.
ReplyDeleteBut Orlando Jordan was an awful, awful wrestler, and Darren Young isn't.
I actually think that OJ improved by leaps and bounds in TNA. Not a main-eventer or anything, but he was a million times better than his WWE days.
