Remember this time last year when Impact was awesome?! Should've just let Aries run with it....
ReplyDeleteBrooke was actually tolerable in the opening segment . . . amazing . .
ReplyDeleteYou misspelled "awful".
ReplyDeleteSpoiler: the little guy beats the big guy with three superkicks.
ReplyDeleteMy only complaint: Why reuse a stip?
ReplyDeleteSting-Bully, and now Bully-Sabin have the "cannot challenge for the title again" clause for the challenger.
Well it fits since Bully made Sting agree to it, so now they are using that in a karmatic way against Bully.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope Bully wins though, I don't want Mr. Anderson in the world title picture as the Aces guy when Bully can't fight for it.
ReplyDeleteYou mistyped "I'm a WWE shill who would love to see TNA collapse, so anyone wanting to watch wrestling would have to watch WWE's mediocre excuse."
ReplyDeleteMy friend just had the best explanation for Jeff's paint job. Bitchslapped by The Incredible Hulk.
ReplyDeleteI miss the ROH days when every match Joe had, you were stoked to see how great it would be. Now even a match with J.Hardy just seems like another match.
ReplyDeleteYou mistyped "I fail to notice the irony of my own posts."
ReplyDeleteYea you 2 are shills, it's not worth shitting on the other product by either of you. Enjoy what you enjoy, let others enjoy what they enjoy. I like wrestling, and watch WWE & TNA and indies when I have the chance to. There are good and bad with all wrestling companies, none are perfect now a days.
ReplyDeleteThey should have a champion accept title shots only on the condition that if he wins his opponent never gets another title shot until there's nobody left.
ReplyDelete"Well Tenay, I guess this is the last shot anyone's got at taking the title offa Sabin."
ReplyDelete"Yea, go get 'em Shark Boy!"
If I hated Tito Ortiz today as much as I did in 2006 I'd buy a pay per view to see him get his ass kicked. But I don't.
ReplyDeleteokay, I didn't watch Impact, but somebody sent me a clip of it- didn't he just wander out with a look of dull shock and cross his arms? what is there to explain?
ReplyDeleteEssentially, yes.
ReplyDeleteThere's Kurt Angle - hours before the fall.
ReplyDeleteTito stands awkwardly. Like he doesn't know what to do with his hands. He should start smoking.
ReplyDeleteI like to think Kurt was wearing those Americanized sunglasses when he was pulled over.
ReplyDelete"Your eyes look a little red sir"
"Not just red, red white a blue. I'm an Olympic hero. It's true, it's true."
We need a wrestler who blows an e-cigarette in peoples faces.
ReplyDelete"The million of fans watching..."
ReplyDeleteI love shoot comments that aren't supposed to be shoot comments.
TNA might be the first promotion to start referring to their fans by name.
ReplyDelete"Jeff Hardy has just won the TNA Championship in front of John, Steve, Tony, Frederick, David, Thomas, Dustin, Tina, Angela, Chris, Tara, Becky, and Willie."
Bully Ray throw's unnecessary "the"'s around like Bret Hart in his prime.
ReplyDeleteMickie reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where Jerry's girlfriend is attractive/ugly depending on the light.
ReplyDeleteIf only The Miz could wrestle as well as Jesse, anyway to combine the two?
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sorry. I thought this was America!
ReplyDeleteYea I noticed that I screwed that up, and yea it is America, but there's also a sense of courteousness and respect most people have here.
ReplyDeleteAgain, Scott's Canadian.
ReplyDeleteHis server is in America.
ReplyDeleteSince when is the internet American? Also, was the Aries stuff which was lauded by much of the IWC last year really "awful"? It's one thing to advocate for the product you like, but you're just trying way too hard.
ReplyDeleteThat was... okay. Acceptable show, sets up some of next week at least.
ReplyDeleteIt was a South Park reference that bombed.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, it appears that Randy isn't as over as I thought.
this thread needs more e-negro jef
ReplyDeleteHe really should have been a much, much bigger deal. Probably the biggest wasted potential of the 21st century.
ReplyDeleteIt's the only stip they own; all the rest were released due to budget cuts.
ReplyDeleteRandy Marsh is always over.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to forget that the matches were good...
ReplyDelete/sarcasm
Stop stealing my gimmick.
ReplyDeleteDont forget Roode-Aries.
ReplyDeleteHIYO!
ReplyDeleteITs not wasted potential if you get unmotivated and out of shape due to mgmt not caring about you and not treating you like a big deal anymore or once someone new comes in.
ReplyDeleteIt's the wrestler's job to keep himself in shape and not give mgmt a reason to depush you.
And scream "its just vapor bro!"
ReplyDeleteyou forgot and Elvy at home.
ReplyDeleteThey really have no faith in their home-grown guys. Aries was awesome but they'd built Bobby Roode/James Storm and I would have bought BFG if that was the title match. It was what they were building to and James Storm had a real star quality to him. At some point TNA has to actually try and create a new star and push him to the top, not a WWF/E rehash.
ReplyDeleteTito Ortiz. And the Crowd goes mild.
ReplyDeleteI would support that wrestler with all my heart.
ReplyDeleteSorry. I'll be back with the bandwidth killing filth-flarn-filth that you expect out of me soon.
ReplyDeleteI don't get where the whole "Unmotivated" thing comes from regarding Joe. You can only do so much with 5 minute matches and he's always stepped up in big matches.
ReplyDeleteI was getting a Skrull vibe.
ReplyDeleteYou joke, but it would be a good way to get an undercard guy over. I could've seen this working when Angle was dominating and having Jay Lethal pull the upset.
ReplyDeleteLook at his 2009-2010, Once he lost the belt at BFG until started they did the 3way at the end of 2010 with Daniels/AJ, he was out of shape and unmotivated because the focus was off of him.
ReplyDeleteOnce put in the main event angles for those 2 months he got some snap in his moves again.
But once Hogan came in, he became lazy and even more out of shape.
I like Joe, but his work speaks for himself. He can wrestle very good, but he gets more spring in his step when the focus is on him.
Just like RVD, when he was TNA champ he was putting out great work, but once he lost it and got into the shuffle, heres comes RVD phoning it in.
5 minute matches or not, his weight became a factor and his work was not up to snuff.
Like I i said dont give them a reason to depush you. If they take the focus off of you as a wrestler, its up to you to grind even harder to get the focus back onto you, so now they have no choice but to accept it.
THey never wanted to push Bryan or Punk. THey never fit the mold. But all the bullshit they went through made them try even harder and they got over more organically with the fans to the point where the company had to address or else it would have been a detriment.
Meanwhile they decide to go another route with Joe as the focus, he gets fatter and his work isnt as crisp. Granted his body wasnt his selling point, but his work was and that due to the added weight and probably the de-emphasis of him in the main event, made him stop caring.
Joe phoning it in isn't the sadness wreck that rvd phoning it in is, at least.
ReplyDeletevery true.
ReplyDeletejoe phoning is still **/*** affair imo
But its noticeable to where you know, "oh yeah... Joe doesn't really care"
Its also a case of setting the bar so high in ROH as well.
TNA forever screwed up Samoa Joe when he didn't wrestle (and beat) Jarrett for the belt at BFG '06 (or was it '07). He was the undefeated killing machine that was over like fuck, and they decided to put Sting in the main event instead. It made no sense then and still doesn't.
ReplyDeleteD'Angelo Dinero, Raven, and Monty Brown sympathize.
MMA fans know it's a bad idea to give marble-mouthed Tito a live mic.
ReplyDeleteThere's definitely an unintentional comedy factor, though.
And where has tonight's light BEEN? Could they bottle it and take it on the road w/her?
ReplyDeleteWell said.
ReplyDeleteI guess. But I don't notice that he's in THAT much worse shape than he used to be. Dude's Samoan.
ReplyDeleteBut I agree about busting your ass regardless of how far down the card you are.
Anybody not named Chael Sonnen is a liability on the mic.
ReplyDelete
