  1. "Despite having the petition angle for the Big Show dropped in favor of the lawsuit angle..."

I wrote like 1000 words on my blog explaining why the WWE sucks right now...that sentence does it better.

  2. "Revenue for the WWE increased by 9% this quarter and across the board, they exceeded expectations. Below is the link to the report."

Well, clearly this is because HHH buried DBry at every turn, and not because fans were interested in something new.

    Fuck.

  3. "Pay-Per-View revenues were $14.6 million as compared to $16.3 million in the prior year quarter, down 10%, primarily due to the performance of the Company's SummerSlam event, which contributed to a 9% reduction in buys for the comparable quarter events."

  4. But, but... Cena main evented and Brock was there too! How can this be?

    ReplyDelete
  5. More PG content means less interesting stories means less PPV buys however considerably more advertising money?

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'm a bit surprised Woods is getting the call up. his matches never seem interesting. I suppose he has a unique charisma and a solid look, but I'm not feeling it. Maybe as a tag team guy?

    ReplyDelete
  7. I dunno, you can still express a lot of hatred in the PG setup. it's more the company's stupid incorporation of that general directive.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Krispy Kreme McDonaldOctober 31, 2013 at 8:17 AM

It will be blamed on Bryan

    ReplyDelete
  9. Maybe. The PG thing has been around for longer than the 3rd quarter. I'm choosing to believe that it's because we had a new main event guy and a new story line, along with CM Punk's clash with Paul. Never mind that they really fucking botched it; business was up 9% without Cena.

they should reform truth and consequences...

    ReplyDelete
  11. Krispy Kreme McDonaldOctober 31, 2013 at 8:18 AM

Business is only up because of raised prices and more international dates

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm not getting that from the article. Of course, reading it makes me want to rip my fucking hair out a la early Mankind, but whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Krispy Kreme McDonaldOctober 31, 2013 at 8:27 AM

its clearly saying that from the article.

    ReplyDelete
  14. That's what they get for having that bearded, indy, hippie main eventing.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Bischoff? Negative? Get RIGHT out of town!

    ReplyDelete
  16. You may well be right. I start to read, see numbers, and start to flash back to the Algebra class I just finished (got a B) that took up WAY to much of my time and then start to pull out my hair, as previously mentioned. Besides, never confuse me with the facts.

Someone in another thread posed a question about who the hell is booking TNA at this point. It brought to my mind a follow up to that: a wrestling company who books everything while drunk or high. Just take all your capital, invest it in booze and drugs for the bookers and talent, let the talent cut unscripted promos, and watch the trainwreck matches. Granted, someone is probably going to get hurt, maybe even killed....but anyone working with said company probably has one foot in the grave anyway.

  18. Krispy Kreme McDonaldOctober 31, 2013 at 8:49 AM

    This guy gets it

    ReplyDelete
  19. YankeesHoganTripleHFanOctober 31, 2013 at 9:00 AM

You watched the Sandman vs Candido match yesterday didn't you? Although booking and doing promos which drunk/high isn't a terrible idea, (great art and music has been produced that way,) as long as everyone is sober for their matches.

    ReplyDelete
  20. HHH: Don't care.
Earnings: At this point, might as well let McMahon and company have their Sports Entertainment bullshit. I'll stick with TNA to whatever end it has in store for me... then probably say goodbye to wrestling. Barring a miracle.
Bischoff: Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, fuck off.
Reigns: (As much as I want to care, I can't.)
    Woods: (See above.)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 31, 2013 at 9:05 AM

I will revise my idea then: rather than watch potential death or dismemberment, which I do not condone, let's make otherwise uninteresting wrestlers MORE interesting by giving them booze and/or drugs, and tell them to go out there and cut a promo. Some of them may fall asleep while doing it, others might get all Roddy Piper. But then aftwerwards, I'm sure the matches would be much more anticlimactic than the guy's promo made it out to be.

    ReplyDelete
  22. It says it in business/lawyer/weasel speak. Basically business was flat but raised cable rates and increased ticket prices (especially overseas) gave them their larger earnings.

    ReplyDelete
  23. What about Seth Rollins?

just read the comments from 2 months ago and tell me Im wrong.

  25. Ok. You're wrong.

Not really, but I aim to please.

  26. Krispy Kreme McDonaldOctober 31, 2013 at 10:21 AM

you know deep down in your soul you are saying "he was right"

this is all contingent on you reading the comments, which is what i am going off of. and if you havent LALALALALALALALA Im not reading LALALALALALA

    ReplyDelete
  27. Don't be schmuck. I read over your comments; probably not all of them, l but I'm pretty sure I read the one that were relevant. I know you were right. Which I said, in a roundabout dickish way.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Looking at the increase in PPV buys YOY for MITB, it's pretty clear that the Mark Henry angle was a draw and instead of giving him a brief run with the belt off of that into Summerslam, they let Cena go over him in one match clean as a sheet. Fuck you.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ive said this before but this revenue article brings it to the forefrunt again. Nobody is gonna significantly move the needle anymore now a days. WWE has done a brilliant job in reprogramming everyone to view the brand and the company as the draw, not performers. Its brilliant actually. Sure you wont have the sporadic "booms" in business anymore but you wont get the lulls that follow either. They have so many other revenue streams now, they dont really need a big business boom to be profitable. If a new super hot act comes along, theyll slowly ingratiate him to slowly become just a "wwe guy." Look at Brock and Rocks returns, both could have been portrayed and consistently promoted as returning main stream/UFC stars. Instead they were ingratiated as "just typical main event guys."

    ReplyDelete
  30. Flat business in the face of raised prices is a pretty good sign, though. There's a lot of times business would go down when prices go up, no?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well that's the spin WWE will put on its release (weasel speak). Here's another point of view saying how their profits dropped 31%

  32. I knew when I heard Bryan & Vinny breaking down how The Shield were acting on RAW that it was going to lead to the most predictable one of them getting a big push...the big dude with the "look" who can't wrestle for shit. Not that Ambrose won't go on to be a big time heel, and honestly I would prefer Rollins & Ambrose as a tag team. THEY could actually revitalize the ranks. I was hoping they would be the tag portion of the group from the begining. But still, when the group breaks off, Ambrose won't get the jesus push...Rock's fucking nephew will, and keep the train of boring predictable crap a-rollin'.

    ReplyDelete
  33. You haven't seen much of Reigns, have you?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I see both Reigns and Rollins becoming faces. Clearly Reigns will get the main push though.

I worry Rollins will fall into Justin Gabriel territory

    ReplyDelete
  35. He's better than Erik Rowan, I'll give him that.

    ReplyDelete
  36. He looks like a star. He clearly will be the breakout shield member. That's just science.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The unfortunate truth. With a brief chase at the world title for a month or two

    ReplyDelete
  38. If he plays it correctly he could get into a weird Jeff Hardy zone.

    ReplyDelete
  39. How is that not what I already said? I said it was boring & predictable for precisely that reason. Troll smarter, not harder.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I have faith in him as a wrestler, I just feel creative will give him nothing.

A newer Jeff Hardy type guy would work

    ReplyDelete
  41. He's the best candidate. By fucking a million miles. I realize that you want your little darling to have the whole promotion revolve around him, but he's average. Sorry to bring reality to into your day. Cry some more about it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. What darling? Ambrose? I'd say he's above average.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Nope. Average. He'll get a nice little spot, but he won't be WWE champion or anything.

    ReplyDelete
  44. That is pure conjecture, and I'd say being the singles breakout of the group right off the bat disproves that. C'mon man, troll SMARTER, not harder. I believe in you Dougie!

    ReplyDelete
  45. If you believe that reality is trolling you, you may need some perspective.

  46. I also recieve secret government radio transmission in my tooth fillings.
