RIP Marcia Wallace, a.k.a. The Simpsons’ Mrs. Krabappel

This makes me say boo, not Boo-urns. And now we're getting old because Simpsons actors are dying at advanced ages.

  2. Yeah this really upset me earlier today. Although ive had no interest in the Simpsons in more than 10 years, the 11 years that I did obsess with that show really means a lot to me still. Wallace was a tremendous actress and voice actress, long before today's world when any actor of the moment can just get a lead as a cartoon voices.

Grade School Confidential, my favorite Edna episode and the launcher of the fabled Skinner/Krapabbel romance..........

  6. I loved her on The Bob Newhart Show long before The Simpsons. We lost a great actress tonight.

  7. I'll never forget the time when Milhouse called her Miss Crab Apple.

    Sheer. Brilliance.

  8. Wait, her name was Wallace? All this time I've been calling her Crandall! Now I feel like an idiot!

...She was living with breast cancer since 1985!? What a tough gal!

  10. It really is amazing that they've managed to keep as much of the voice cast together as they have for 25 years. Who have they lost? Marcia Wallace and Phil Hartman?

  11. Doris Grau too, but personally i felt that one more as a Critic fan than a Simpsons one.

  12. It's weird that they have to retire ANOTHER character that married Ned Flanders.
