Just Curious...

The only reason I bother to watch RAW live (sometimes) is because I'm confident they'll cut good stuff out in favor of crap for the Hulu version. This was VERY true last night, as apparently Hulu omitted the Xavier Woods debut, the entertaining Miz/Kofi vs We the People tag with the Miz heel turn and the amusing-if-overlong Ziggler/Sandow match — but left in the crappy Show/Ryback match, the pointless Vickie and Brad stuff and Florida Georgia Line.

Does that bother you with the Hulu versions? To be clear, I'm not writing to urge you to return to rants on the full shows; on the contrary, if I were you, I'd be wondering why I was bothering to recap a version of the show that has so much crap and cuts better stuff and thinking about skipping the whole thing at this point.

While they might cut out stuff that some consider "good", I find that one thing they excel at is leaving in everything that's actually important to the ongoing storyline in the main event.  Which is kind of the point of the show in the first place.  If I want a show to enjoy, I have NXT.  Literally nothing you described above sounds all that great, and it's all up on their YouTube channel the next day anyway if they cut out something REALLY egregious and I just have to see it.

Hulu's version is fine and much easier to watch than 3 hours was.

  1. I liked that Ryback/Show match.
Then again I almost always watch on tuesday morning and fast forward through a lot of the bs.

  2. Andy PG does better at digging deep and describing what's going on in detail anyway. I'd honestly be just as happy reading Andy's rants with some Scott Sez peppered in.

  3. Well, if hte e-mailer is describing the highlights I'm real glad I've tuned out. Hulu+ FTW.

  4. When Hulu cuts a match or something else that I want to see I usually just youtube it. Whether it's via Hulu, DVR, or download I don't think I watch more than 45 minutes of a Raw via skipping around/fast forward. Last whole Raw I made it through was before GTA V came out. Past few weeks I've been fine with seeing the highlights on WWE.com. Not even the fact that I'm going to Survivor Series tomorrow night has been enough to motivate me to watch recently.

  5. If you don't enjoy the show you're watching, why bother putting yourself through the recap in the first place?

I'm not criticizing, it's obviously your choice; just seems like if you've got a finite amount of hours in the day, it would be better to spend those 90 minutes on something you enjoy. Just my opinion tho.

  6. I'd still rather read the old mid south and NJPW stuff Scott said he might switch to before he went HULU. As stated Andy does a great job getting into the current stuff. Although I'm sure Scott gets more readers on his RAW rants than he would on pretty much anything else. Still a boy can dream or in this case a manchild.
