Did Heenan get a DVD? Or is heyman the first manager to do one?
ReplyDeleteYeah Heenan has one
ReplyDeleteWow that Mae video was really touching. She's been in a lot of Wrestlecrap angles, but the video even made those moments seem emotional.
ReplyDeleteDangerous alliance, ECW, smackdown 6, lesnar, punk... yeah this should be a good dvd
ReplyDeleteJR's podcast should be interesting. Austin's show is pure gold (when you can tell a story about rats and woodpeckers and make people bust up laughing, you're onto something). Jericho, when he's not interviewing, annoys me. I just don't find him all that entertaining, though the show with Edge was fantastic.
ReplyDeleteTJ: LOL.

Actually took me a minute to get it...
I'll be buying the Heyman DVD for sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big Jericho fan, but I think his show will get better once he has done it for a few more months.
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteI don't care what anyone says, Cena is awesome. This, and his WM 26 post match pose in front of a bunch of Cena haters was just great.
Anyone one know why mobile disqus automatically defaults to "oldest" comments now as opposed to "newest"
ReplyDeleteOh yeah Cena is great and has a good attitude/sense of humor about this. Last month I saw a picture of him wearing a shirt that said "If Cena Wins, We Complain".
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is when he started wearing the "Rise Above Hate" shirt, and the first thing he does is find the one kid in the front row always wearing the "We Hate Cena" shirt.
ReplyDeleteNo clue.
ReplyDeleteHate the character, not the person.
ReplyDeleteI've personally never had a problem with the character either. (granted, I don't watch every week, so that might help). I like how he ignores the peer pressure, and stays true to who he is. Good real life example for his core fanbase.
ReplyDeleteAnd I will always believe that any poop humor is 100% a Vince Mcmahon thing, not a Cena thing. Poop "humor" was there long before Cena became a main eventer, sadly.
Agreed on the Jericho part. When he's just talking, it's not very good, but he does ask some interesting questions. All of these guys have Steve Austin to thank for potentially providing them with a new revenue stream.
ReplyDeleteOk, that's pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteIt's unfortunate that the Heenan DVD was pretty sub-par. The documentary seemed too brief, especially for someone of Heenan's reputation. Heyman's DVD needs to be like CM Punk's: It needs to feel real.
ReplyDeleteThat was clever on Cena's part
ReplyDeletePerhaps the same reason that the number of comments doesn't match up to the amount of comments?
ReplyDeleteDoes footage of a young Mae Young not exist?
ReplyDeleteI don't think humans harnessed the power of electricity at that time.
ReplyDeleteI would say "Too soon", but... .Let's be honest, we ALL thought of a similar response. :)
ReplyDeleteOnly in that Treehouse of Horror when Homer accidentally squishes the fish that walked out of the primordial ooze.
ReplyDeleteMobile disqus barely works on my iphone5. Always times out on me
ReplyDeleteI don't think they normally put matches you booked on your DVD.
ReplyDeleteIt still feels real to me!
ReplyDeleteI'm torn on Jerichos for the reasons you laid out. He's just annoyning when he's talking but he asks some good questions when he's got a guest. It's definitely not a must listen for me like Austins is
ReplyDeleteWWE's "All The Divas" photo collection had a GREAT picture of young Mae... she was a looker.
ReplyDeleteMoolah, on the other hand... (shudders)
Minor Threadjack:
ReplyDeletethree-team trade in the NBA today
Warriors get Jordan Crawford & MarShon Brooks
Heat get Toney Douglas
Celtics get Joel Anthony, 76ers 1st (that can turn into two 2nd rd picks if the 76ers miss the next two seasons) and a 2nd from the Heat
I love that Bubba Ray power bomb spot with Mae. I'd love to hear a shoot with him on what his mindset was. I don't care how many times you've done sonething, power bombing an 80 yr old woman through table must be something he remembers

ReplyDeleteGreat Mae stories from Bubba Ray. "She told Vince they should power bomb me from the top of a cage"
Isn't Heymans book supposed to come out sometime? I think I'm more interested in that than anything
ReplyDeleteHeyman is getting a DVD and JR is stuck on podcast duty.
ReplyDeleteIt ain't 1996 anymore that's for sure.
"And I will always believe that any poop humor is 100% a Vince Mcmahon thing, not a Cena thing." Especially since some of his "Thug Life" promos were often a bit edgier.
ReplyDeleteYou need to get out more.
ReplyDelete"I like how he ignores the peer pressure to change, and stays true to who he is."
ReplyDeleteYou know, except for that one time he was a white rapper, then he wasn't. And all those times he puts on his "thug" voice when he's suddenly serious, or when he hams up his Boston accent when he's in Boston.
But yeah, he doesn't change.
Oh, John...
ReplyDeleteI'm out now!
ReplyDeleteNetflix has added a few WWE stuff: Undertaker-The Streak, Falls Count Anywhere, NWO-The Revolution, Rock vs Cena - Once in a Lifetime (HA!), and the 50 Greatest Finishing Moves.
ReplyDeleteWhich also makes me wonder if the network will broadcast any DVD collections.
Have there been any further confirmations out there about Bryan's concussion yet?
ReplyDeleteThe Heenan one is really sad, as neither Bobby or Gorilla could contribute.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the Heyman DVD, especially if they let him rip in the doc. Wonder what the match selection is going to be, probably a ton of of Dangerous Alliance and Brock.
ReplyDeleteJordan Crawford is a nice heat check guy for the bench. Upgrade from Douglas for sure
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed Jericho's, personally.
ReplyDeleteThere are some really great cave drawings of her match against Eve in a Loser Leaves Eden match..
ReplyDeleteJohn Cena can be a pretty funny guy if he's allowed to cut loose non-PG.
ReplyDeleteAnd I hate hate HATE when people BEG a celebrity to follow them on Twitter.
Not yet. I am keeping an eye out and will post an update when I see one.
ReplyDeleteI actually cried.. really well done.
