Match of the Day: Tag Team NIRVANA

Scott, I think the blog might appreciate this one:

Holy SHIT, why have I never seen this one before?

  1. Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

No but in all seriousness, who ever sent this in, thank you!

  2. Wow how could they only give this 10 minutes?

  3. They probably ran short and sent these guys out to kill time. Seems like a very WCW thing to do. Still, pretty fun to watch all these guys go at once.

  4. Something you don't see today - The heels being complete dicks. Even Bobby Eaton is acting like a fucking cock on the outside. The faces aren't dorks either, Steamboat is a cool customer as always.

This is the kind of stuff that needs to be found on the network. Episodes of ALL the classic TV shows. I would watch Championship Wrestling and All-Star Wresting IN ORDER from when they debuted in the 70's. That's the only way to do it.

  6. All I want from the Network is the NWA/WCW weekend shows from the late 80s on and Prime Time Wrestling and it will totally be worth $10 a month. Discovering hidden gems like this is a complete bonus.

I'm betting most of us here didn't even realize this match existed. Was it on Saturday Night? Main Event? Wordlwide?

  7. I hope they DON'T show all of those because I may never leave my house if they do..All that i would ask is that someone checks in on me from time to time and check for a pulse..

  8. With Cornette unofficially managing Austin here, makes me think that those two could of had some pretty good chemistry together and would of made a better fit than Dibiase/Austin.

  9. They have Morton & Steamboat on the face side, and Robert Gibson is the Face in Peril?!? Gibson did a good job, but wow. I don' t know if I should be disgusted, or impressed that someone had the balls to book it like that.

    Good match, nonetheless.

  10. That's the dream bro

  12. Maybe in WCW, but Cornette in the WWF was a completely different animal, as was Austin.

  13. This is definably from Worldwide. Worldwide was my favorite show up until 95. Lots of hidden gems, but even didn't know about this. My guess is that it was taped the weekend of SuperBrawl 3, and aired in March.

Every episode of every show will not be there at launch, but there is no reason you couldn't start from the beginning and add a few shows every month. I will not stay a subscriber, if there is not a huge selection of classic TV. I really don't care about the PPV, old or new.

  14. Absolutely agree. I just want the option of watching some shows I haven't seen in a while, and more variety in better quality than what is available online right now.

I used to love the Online Classics On Demand, because I could watch episodes of old shows like Superstars, Challenge and WCW Saturday Night.

I'm less interested in Raw and Nitro than I am the Synidcated shows.

  15. Don't know what was the bigger surprise for me here: Jesse's throwing shade at Cornette or adopting Gorilla Monsoon's old "there should be two refs" argument.

  16. How long did Cornette promote SMW in WCW? Wasn't he with the WWF by Summerslam?
