Yeah, Disqus

I have no idea what's happening with Disqus and I've tweeted their helpdesk for assistance, but it seems to be happening to other Blogger sites using them as well.  Although apparently some people on this very site CAN access comments because they're showing up in the moderation panel here and there.  So I'm confused.

Oddly, I can also access comments when I'm using the mobile version via 3G.  So I'm double confused.

Comments

  1. I'm sure it is jobber's fault somehow.

    ReplyDelete
  2. works fine here. *goes back to lurking*

    ReplyDelete
  3. Only the cool people can post now.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'll take the blame... maybe Disqus thinks I'm not ready for the main event yet.

"I want 6th place, Sucka! FUJ, I'M COMING FOR YOU, NI... UH... AFRICAN AMERICAN!"

(looks embarassed, turns away from the camera as Molly smiles and pats my arm.)

    ReplyDelete
  5. Maybe it was down to burnout and injuries....

    ReplyDelete
  6. That was one of the biggest over-reactions in IWC history. It was a last minute replacement match on a Throwaway PPV, and I would bet anything that 90% of casual fans don't even remember it. Plus, Punk kicked out of 2 Pedigrees, and about 18 people interfered. I will say until the day I die that it did NOTHING to hurt Punk.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I don't really remember anything Punk did that year between Summerslam and whenever the Jericho feud started.before WM28.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Didn't do anything to HELP Punk, that was the problem.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Is there any way you can convince Disqus to remove the "cancer is activated in your body" ad? Because that more than anything else is getting me to go to the site less-often.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Doubtful if Hogan can raise his leg up to an opponents head anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I wouldn't say I over reacted, just how the feud made him cool down for a few months and it was basically just to allow HHH to have a match with Nash in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  12. That's another thing that bugs me, some people (not you necessarily) say that the Summer of Punk ended with HHH vs Nash.

The way I see it, the Summer of Punk ended with the 430+ day reign, while a SIDE FEUD between HHH and Nash got created in the process. I guess that's just me though.

I do find it funny though how on AT LEAST 3 occasions, Nash backed out of a match when he was supposed to job as the payoff (Giant at Starrcade, Chris Sabin in TNA, and Punk in WWE)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Well, that's just Nash's regular routine.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I couldn't access it at home but it's all good from my work ip. No idea what that means

    ReplyDelete
  15. That would be Kevin Nash. I think he did it again in WCW with a "knee" injury. Forget who it was against though

    ReplyDelete
  16. I didn't know my son had real weights in his toy box.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The ads are dependent on what you search for. Start looking at porn and you'll get dating and cougar ads. Those are better then cancer ads any day

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yep, I love the big lug, I really do, but not even I can defend that... :(

    ReplyDelete
  19. I can't disagree more. If it was such a throwaway match, why not just have punk go over?

    ReplyDelete
  20. It works fine with me, but yeah, the system has been weird lately.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I actually really like Hogan in the WM host role. He'll get an awesome reaction, play the classic Hogan babyface, and will stay gar away from a match. What more do we want?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Another fun story about Nash, there were FOUR house shows I went to where he was advertised...

1st one: he was in a tag match, but he was still in his bodyguard phase, so it wasn't a big deal

2nd: He was set to defend his IC title against Razor in a rematch, but he came out in crutches, and was replaced by Good ol' Double J. Razor won by small package, and Diesel did the ol' "Take 3 regular steps before reaching the curtain" routine, to show he was just a cowardly heel.

3rd: New world champ Diesel to defend against Mr Bob Backlund... 30 minutes before the 3 hour drive, we find out that the show is officially cancelled. It was a weak card, so I guess Diesel was injured, and they deemed it unworthy of even having the show.

4th: World champ Diesel defending against former champ Yokozuna... 2 weeks After Summerslam... Diesel no shows due to an injury. (DAMN YOU KING MABEL, AND YOUR RECKLESS SITDOWN SPLASH!!)

    At least I was 1 for 4!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Outside of MSG where he won the title, has anyone actually SEEN Kevin Nash wrestle on a house show?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Because where does the story go from there? Punk wants to topple the machine, he beats HHH, HHH is still COO lol and Punk is still an employee of HHH.

That makes no sense. HHH had to go over.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Go on to a different feud. I don't even remember what he did from HHH/Nash to Jericho but just give him a filler feud. At least do a no fi ish and drag it out to another ppv where punk goes over.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The Disqus ads are a work in progress for them and offensive stuff can be reported. I will say that i make a shitload more off them since they changed to the new ad format, if that makes you feel better. Which it should.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Not to start the "CM Punk is a child" storm again, but Wtf exactly is wrong with a HHH match at WM for Punk? He's the biggest heel in the company. He has the pull to put their match on pretty high in the card. Seems like it'd be a decent payout. Does he really just dislike working with HHH? If so, kinda childish. Did HHH want to go over again..Naw, can't be

    ReplyDelete
  28. At home it worked in Internet Exploder but not Firefox, here at my job it is working fine all the way around... is what I would be saying if I used company resources to browse the internet... which I do not.

    ReplyDelete
  29. He was probably pissed that it won't be the main event, which, not for nothing, boo fucking hoo.

Not everyone gets to reach the mountaintop. If the fact that your flag is on the face and higher than nearly anyone else's means nothing to you because it's not at the peak, go fuck yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Again, though, what does Punk going over accomplish in the storyline? Nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I bet his daughter can raise her legs up!

(She's likely a slut is what I'm saying)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Internet Explorer has always worked fine for me with Disqus...

    ReplyDelete
  33. I wish they just didn't have the match at all, yep. should have been saved for a huge PPV, not a last minute throwaway PPV.

    ReplyDelete
  34. What does anyone going over in a payoff feud do? It makes 1 person look good, both if done correctly, and then they move to another chapter. It's not like they dragged Punk/HHH out for numerous more months and Punk going over would have sabotaged the rest of the story. Punk was a face helping HHH prevent a walkout within the next few weeks. Punk going over would have been a fine conclusion to that entire story.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Idk. Just no way he's soley gonna be working the Mic and not doing any thing physical at all

    ReplyDelete
  36. It only works from my phone. Tries IE and chrome and it doesn't show up at all here but it does on other sites like 411 and AV Club.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I have an ad to book a flight through KLM.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Is it fixed now, or is it just working on my work computer when it didn't work at home? It seems like Disqus is partial to older operating systems. I can't get it to work on Chrome on my new Windows 8 laptop, but it works fine in Firefox, and my Windows 7 work computer allows it on both.

    ReplyDelete
  39. It didn't work earlier today but it's working now in Chrome.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Still will not work for me with Chrome or IE but it does for other sites.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'll just agree to disagree. Punk's entire character existed for the purpose of defeating the system.

In wrestling, you do that by beating the guy who runs the system.

Punk wins, the system remains intact, Punk's character now has no reason to exist.

Whatever. It's not really important at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  42. after reading this I must say it again: the WWE would be stupid not to push him.

he is a great in-ring worker, he is entertaining, he doesn't do drugs, he obviously is not as "opinionated" as punk and tries to put over anything they come up with for him, he seems to enjoy doing charity stuff .... this is almost the "perfect" worker (from a wrestling company pov).

    ReplyDelete
  43. Gar?

    http://www.almrsal.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Paul-Mark-Gar-m.jpg ?

    ReplyDelete
  44. thing is, they HAVE been pushing him. I think his loss to Bray Wyatt is the only 100% clean job he's done in the past 12 months.

Even though he's not world champ, he had been protected as much as anyone in the past 5 years.

    ReplyDelete
  45. it was still a pretty strange booking decision. if losing that match wasn't a big deal, why did Triple H NEED to go over?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Could easily be. Or hhh didn't want to work heel. Plus he probably figured the match would suck. Good for punk.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Wow that is the second grammar troll (at least) from you recently... you can do better, represent your kind with pride!

    ReplyDelete
  48. ...not that you read the BoD at work...

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yup cm punk should just go fuck himself. How dare he not be into throwing himself around a ring for your amusement anymore. Makes him a complete piece of shit. 8 years of great matches and angles, but he decides he's done before your ready and now he sucks. No wonder punk is so standoffish towards the fans.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Maybe CM Punk wouldn't be so burnt out if he would just do some drugs like a regular human being. No wonder the guys so crabby all the time--he's literally never high on anything. Geez, could you imagine?

    ReplyDelete
  51. You see, grown ups have this thing called money...

They also have this thing called contracts, which are unbreakable... UN-BREAKABLE!!! .... *pardon me, I'll go to the washroom.*

    ReplyDelete
  52. The old avatar makes your posts so much easier to follow.

    ReplyDelete
  53. If you're implying that I'm on the "troll scale", this is an honest to god opinion that I have had for the last 2,5 years. Sorry if it's not the same as yours.

    ReplyDelete
  54. So here's the 24 dollar question. With Punk gone, who takes his spot?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Man in the raw live thread I posted a comment and got a disqus error message with some random # and then the screen switched to a full page gif of Elaine shrugging with a message that said basically "we don't know what happened." It was so weird

    ReplyDelete
  56. I can't buy that HHH would insist on not working heel. The last 5 months have been a circle jerk designed to get him heel heat. He must have accepted his WM role as a heel. HHH insisting on going over - I can't fathom it but he's done alot of stuff I couldn't fathom so who knows really.

    ReplyDelete
  57. More like LOWspots... am i rite?

    ReplyDelete
  58. I feel bad for you that this is the only way you can contribute. Normal people have debates/discussions. I'm starting to think your brain isn't fully developed so you're incapable of participating.

  59. Stranger in the AlpsJanuary 30, 2014 at 8:28 AM

Punk just needs time off to have the names of every diva he's ever banged tattooed on his sack. It's going to take a while because, frankly, that's a lot of divas.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'd rather talk about the greatness of La Parka but no one on the carousel is talking about that.

    ReplyDelete
  61. HHH already buried him once as part of the neutering of the Summer of Punk. Maybe he didn't want to relive the experience.

    ReplyDelete
  62. " HHH insisting on going over - I can't fathom it"
Why is that so non-fathomable? Don't you remember the last time they wrestled?

    ReplyDelete
  63. You're kidding, but I fear that may happen.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Before Monday night (when punk had already left) he was working as a face 60% of the time. Other than his interactions with Bryan his post survivor series work has basically been all as a face. Even if he didnt want to work as an outright face if he wasn't willing to show ass on mic and was being protective of his own heat at the expense of getting punk over in the feud that could be too much. All we know for sure is over the last 12 years hhh has rarely been willing to cooperate with talent, no reason to think he was doing anything else here until we get other facts. If punk is in pain and exhausted-and huntor pulled some power play I could easily see that setting punk off

    ReplyDelete
  65. On chrome I added disqus to my cookie exception box (or whatever it's called) even though I already allowed cookies, then it just worked! I don't know if thats a load of bs or if that will help anyone (not like they can see it if disqus isn't working for them)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Punk was the hottest act they had at the time.
The fact that it was replacement match on a throwaway PPV means that Punk should have won.
The fact that it was against a guy coming out of retirement means Punk should have won.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Because that's what HHH does.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Seriously, my first thought was hopefully theyd just put bryan knto the hhh/program. Seeing bryan make hhh tap would be pretty fucking awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  69. And I could totally see it happening. There was a 4 year WM streak where either HBK or HHH tapped at one point.

Wm 20: HHH tapped to Benoit
WM 21: HBK tapped to Angle
WM 22: HHH tapped to Cena
WM 23:: HBK tapped to Cena

So I am holding out hope.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yes. I do. HHH was been more then willing to do the job at WM. Punk is more established now then he was in 11.

    ReplyDelete
  71. The fact Punk was still hot coming out of the loss means: win, lose, or draw the outcome didn't matter.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Thats a big assumption. Or maybe punk could have insisted on working another program. Or you know, have done the job if thats what vince insisted on.

    ReplyDelete
  73. What? That's stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  74. That is what I have been saying, but I give up. Agree to disagree, it's like arguing with 9/11 conspiracy theorists. It is impossible to change their minds.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Id disagree it was 60% but your point is valid that he hasnt really gone all in with the heel schtick over the past 5 months

    ReplyDelete
  76. The way I've always seen it is that they are heels, but when everything goes their way, they pander to the crowd, and everything is roses. But the moment something doesn't go their way, they show their true heel colors. For example, the Rumble reaction didn't go their way, so they heeled it up on Raw with Daniel.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Yea, I think Bryan fights HHH at WM30. But who takes Punk's spot as a top guy in the long run? Antonio Cesaro? Christian? Cody Rhodes?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Thats playing such the hindsight card. Im not disagreeing with your premise but just saying "it didnt kill his heat" doesnt mean it was the correct move at the time

    ReplyDelete
  79. I love how anyone who HHH beats is automatically "buried". If he keeps winning, doesn't it mean that a loss to him is not a big deal, because everyone else loses to them? If Punk would have lost to Santino, then yes, he would have been buried. No shame in losing to a guy who has been on top for the previous decade.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Possibly Roman Reigns.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Agreed... sometimes I wouldn't even recognize my own posts.

Funny story I didn't save this one before chagning to the other one so Icouldn't find the original file anywhere... so I googled various things and couldn't find this exact image... so I decided to google my user name in google images... the results were a couple of pictures of me, both of my avatar's from here... and a shit load of Vinson's pictures of Brooke's ass that I commented on.

    ReplyDelete
  82. If theyre straight heels tho, I dont think they should ever pander to the crowd. People might not interpret it like you and just say to themselves "hey, these guys aernt so bad. Why do I hate them again?" Theyve invested so many resorces into the authority, they should just go full blown heels. Maximizes their heel heat and the opposing faces heat

    ReplyDelete
  83. I think punk will be back at some point but I think theyll plug sheamus in there or expedite the reigns mega push. Im not sure wwe ever banked on punk being around for the next few years however...

    ReplyDelete
  84. I just want a positive result to come out of this, like a Cesaro push.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I had one recently "The truth about having an affair"

I swear it was trolling me

    ReplyDelete
  86. Id be on board.

Quit downvoting me CM Punk's tattoo guy!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Are you using a newer version of Chrome? Just curious.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I mean, he's practically a babyface already

    ReplyDelete
  90. Look at the push Roman got at the Rumble and then look at Punk's role in the match The writing was clearly on the wall.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Let's say Punk is done forever. The next time you see him do anything WWE related is his hall of fame induction. What was your favorite match of his in WWE? I'd imagine most would say vs Cena at MITB or Undertaker at WM29.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Have you ever considered asking yourself that a win over HHH would have made Punk an even hotter commodity? His momentum was stalled for no reason whatsoever.

    ReplyDelete
  93. His match against Cena last February was, IMO, better than MITB 2011. Piledriver!

    ReplyDelete
  94. His match with Brock was a hellava match as well. And I still really like the match with Jeff Hardy.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Porn-Peddling Jef VinsonJanuary 30, 2014 at 9:41 AM

If it's not a big deal then why won't HHH take the loss? What does HHH gain at this point by beating Punk?
It's reinforces the gripe Punk has of losing to a part-time wrestlers like the Rock...only the Rock drew money.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Oh, you are asking for it with that comment...=)

    ReplyDelete
  97. He won the title and started the record reign.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Porn-Peddling Jef VinsonJanuary 30, 2014 at 9:51 AM

Where did the story go after the loss? Wasn't it similar to the DBry story in that HHH said that Punk wasn't a suitable face of the company? When Nash stood in as his avatar wasn't one of the first things Nash said was get in the gym and stop looking like an indy geek?
The problem with HHH feuds is that he says time and time again that his opponent is unworthy of being at the top level. Hell he even said it on a video. "Until you go through me you're just a step below me." Because the opponent can't go through them it proves his point.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Porn-Peddling Jef VinsonJanuary 30, 2014 at 9:52 AM

But HHH is the system. And he lost. Not only that he lost to or got his ass kicked by his lackeys. So he's not even good enough to beat THEM.

    ReplyDelete

    Curtain call incident at MSG.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I don't think it happens overnight, but it's a possibility. There are guys that could be elevated, like Cesaro or Cody Rhodes, that would be great for the 'E. Which means they'll try to elevate Brodus Clay or Christian again.

    ReplyDelete
  102. his matches with Bryan

    ReplyDelete
  103. At the very least, painkillers to help with the wear and tear of being on the road for so long. I'm not saying he needs to turn into Dr. House, but some pain relief and a sleeping pill would probably be great for him. Have you seen the bags under his eyes?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Porn-Peddling Jef VinsonJanuary 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM

Brie and DBry look like an Amish couple in that pic.
That being said, I'm not even mad at them for the car. They travel 5 days a week, so why not get a reliable car that is going to sit there all week?

    ReplyDelete
  105. I cringed at the thought of having someone tattoo someone ELSE's sack.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Does anyone else yearn for the Mania format from the early ones such as 8-9 undercard matches that were fairly short and then 2- 20 minute or so matches? I used to love that format. It gets annoying when you're watching Mania now and we have to watch concerts, special entrances, pre-match video packages (don't need to be ON THE PPV because they are made to SELL THE PPV), commercials, etc. WWE has a whole bunch of guys that could have nice little matches at Mania.

    ReplyDelete
