FYI, I have the original Roku which I purchased in 2010, and then I have a Roku app on my tablet. The Roku app will give you all channels available in it's store, but the original Roku's store does not show all channels available, just the ones that are compatible with your Roku version. Original Roku channel store does not show WWE Network.

    Upgrade your Roku.

What you meant was, "Doesn't it seem like Scott doesn't like the BoD anymore?" See how it associates with the negative? Call me a grammar nazi if you must but I will not back down on this one.

I think he still has some residue of being an egotistical ass for walking out on the HBK feud then pretty much sinking TNA by turning it into WCW 2.0. If all he does is come to WM, flex the pythons, hit the catch phrase checkmarks, maybe bodyslam a heel a la Hassan at WM21 (doubt we'll see a leg drop at this point lol), and leave with maybe another backstage segment or two, I'm sure we're all going to be fine with that. There's just a little backlash because of the negative things he's done in and out of the ring over the last several years.

    ReplyDelete
  29. My booking idea for WM30.. First how do you keep the show from being hijacked by Bryan fans and build suspense? WWE World Championship tournament... What if the Elimination Chamber ends up without a winner and the WWE runs an 8 or 10 man title tournament at Wrestlemania? What if Brock runs in and destroys the last two guys in the chamber because he's not in it, causing another abeyance situation? Some of their proposed WM30 matchups (Wyatt/Cena) could even happen in the context of the tournament, with both the Main Event and title on the line providing extra drama. They would give Batista a bye so that he would only have to fight in the last match of the night.

To punish Lesnar, they would make him face The Undertaker. Just to make it even better, i would add a guest ring announcer for each match.. preferably a legend or Diva from the WWE's past.

    What do ya think???

the way to get Batista over is let him demolish people (and obviously those people shouldn't look like they didn't have a chance right from the beginning -> Alberto Del Rio). of course at first there would be same backlash because fans would see through it.

but generally speaking it is the simple way that has worked most of the time. make him look like a monster and (some/a lot of) people will buy into it at some point.

I use to do landscaping when I was younger, had my own company called Lawn & Order. So, there's a Saturday where I'm being paid like $1000 for a ton of work that has to be done in one day. We're talking like mowing an area the size of a football field where the grass has grown to 2-3 feet high, plus a bunch of other shit. So, I have to be there at around 7am in order to get all this done in time.

The afternoon before Saturday, my friend asks me to take one for the team. There's this girl he's been trying to bang, but she insists on a double-date ordeal [this broad is prejudice against Italians! Can you believe that? In this day & age]. It's against my better judgment, but you can't say no when a friend asks for you to take one for the team. Well, her friend couldn't have been further from what I'm into if she tried. So, I'm of course nice the whole evening, even though she annoyed me a bit. My friend assured me I could leave & be done with things around 9pm. Well, it's around 8pm when he and the girl take off to their bedroom, and I'm stuck with the damn friend, who WON'T SHUT UP. Seriously, she just kept talkingandtalkingandtalkingandtalking despite the fact it was very obvious I'm trying to sleep. Finally, she shuts her fucking mouth and goes to sleep. At 6fuckingam. So I get a cool 45 minutes of sleep and then go and work in 100 degree heat for 14 hours.

I use to work at Hot Topic & Game Stop, and as such my schedule was pretty jacked due to other things. So, there'd be times where I'd go to bed at 3am, and have to be up at 5 or 6, then open the shop at Hot Topic at 8am. There'd be times I was so tired, I would literally fall asleep while standing.

  57. Can someone help me with an IT issue? I'm having WWE App on Xbox360 issues, where is Michael Cole when I need him?
So in preparation for the Network, I downloaded the WWE App on Xbox Live. When I sign into the app, it automatically opens up to a WWE PPV Log in screen and asks me to sign in. I obviously don't have an account, so It links me to the WWE.com/PPV website to create a WWE account. Super.
I created that account. Now I go back to Xbox Live and the app is still not recognizing my login and ID.
Anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Do I need to wait 24 hours for the Xbox Live to recognize my WWE account?
PS I think network idea is awesome and can't wait to sign up. HOWEVER... I tried navigating the website for help/contact info and can only find e-mail contact. I truly hope on Monday they have some phone numbers available for people to call on Monday or they may have some very frustrated technologically deficient people on their hands....

Oh no, there was a lot of soccer fans in my college town and it'd be standing-room only for big games. A good Champions League or EPL matchup would pack the bar at 11am on a Wednesday, so I would always make sure that we got the best seat in the house; plus drinking early.

Honestly, they had it right with the Self-Destruction DVD. I mean, who honestly wants 3 discs of the Warrior's matches? The most obnoxious thing about it is they left off his rematch with Macho at SummerSlam, which is arguably his second best match. They also omitted the Papa Shongo stuff, we get no vignettes with Jake, and Hogan vs Warrior II isn't on there. C'mon! Part of his charm is the absolute dreadful crap he's done.

  64. Caliber_Winfield_TCTFebruary 22, 2014 at 1:57 PM

Wyatt vs Cena is an absolute waste for WMXXX. The only way I could see this working, is if in the next few weeks Bray
Wyatt destroys star after star, then defeats Randy Orton for the title,
but throws it down and says it means nothing to him. The only thing that
means anything in this company is defeating John Cena. A man who is
looked at as a God. But you don't just defeat a God. He's going to be
the first to show the people that God can, and WILL bleed. He will crush
his bones into powder. He will turn all of his believers into atheists.
He will not just take the victory, but everything John Cena believes
in. Everything he stands for. At WrestleMania, he'll make John Cena wish
that he was only after a victory.

    ReplyDelete
  70. That was my point. He looked like the inferior partner in all of his teams.

    ReplyDelete
  71. How long does Goldust have? And I know that we wants to go up against Cody at Mania, so I figure WWE would give him what he wants.

    ReplyDelete
  72. We need heels? I guess. But we've kinda tapped Heel!Cody dry. I figure trying him as a solo babyface might be something worth doing.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I guess Bryan is much less prone to squashing dudes dead than Cena is.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Your gimmick sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  75. 30 days.. should be enough time to not have it spoiled by you fuckers. And definitely not by WWE because I'll be watching late 80s PPVs on the Network instead of RAW.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Sounds fun, tho I can't make any promises due to having to stay sober during the week and whatnot.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  78. Of course you worked at Hot Topic.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Can I call you a grammar Stalinist?

    ReplyDelete
  80. They're not trying to get people to cheer Batista over Bryan. That's just in the minds of his obnoxious fans.

    ReplyDelete
  81. WWE has done the whole "Faces and Heels that hate each other greatly must team up before they face off" to death, and they have one staring them in the face that would garner a shit-ton of fan interest and they don't do it.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'm honestly interested to know if Bryan would be getting half the reaction he's getting now if the company had gotten behind him and made him champion, or if people are cheering for him because of the perception that he's not supposed to be the guy.

Fuck no. And that's the sad part when people constantly bitch about him.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Oh wow they got rid of the downvote?

    ReplyDelete
  84. That'd be a good time to see him out, actually.

    ReplyDelete
  85. This is leaving me with the odd realization that I haven't actually seen many Ultimate Warrior matches, as much of a fan as I considered myself as a kid.

Also, as a side note, this is the kind of DVD release I'm hoping to see more of in the Network age - more rare, non-PPV matches.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I read it all and it was awesome. Only problem I see is how you'd manufacture the glass pod so that it breaks when Sheamus kicks it but not when Bryan/Cena are pounding away at it.

    Just nitpicking, awesome booking.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Looks very promising. Though I have to admit I LOLed when I opened the channel and the first thing I saw was a giant picture of John Cena smiling at me.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yeah, that's weak. Might as well just jump the DV button entirely.

(PS: I downvoted your comment. No offense. ;) )

    ReplyDelete
  89. I think Bryan not breaking it can be explained with him not having enough room to maneuver, whereas the Cena thing isn't something I would personally choose to do but I can see them going that route. He could take a few shots at it and then get attacked by one of the heels. Then when Sheamus does break it, the announces sell the shit out of how brutal the brogue kick is when he hits someone with it.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Wel, you can still downvote and it will apparently turn the downvote error red, but it won't show the tally of downvotes you -- or maybe some terrible, terrible poster who never adds anything to any discussion he particiapes in -- has gotten.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Also omitted is Summerslam 89' which features possibly the best commentary ever by Jesse Ventura.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I probably wouldn't choose Wyatt as Cena's opponent this year if it was up to me, but that's the most pervasive rumor. The main problem I see with it is there's nowhere for Bray to go after that. He's peaking far too early that way. Regardless if it's Cena or Heath Slater, he needs that entrance I described.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Well I guess that's okay. Since I'm no longer seeing the number of downvotes I'm getting, I guess my fragile psyche is secure. Thank you for protecting my, Disqus.

My guess is that whoever thinks WWE needed to sanitze old footage of chairshots to the head quit there to come to Disqus and do this.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I guess instead of downvotes, I'll have to leave insults that get upvotes.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Given that that actually sounds like a great creative idea, it's almost a sure bet it won't show up on RAW. Or if it does, the commentary team will find a way to beat the "WWE Universe" Bryan-love into the ground to a point that everyone is completely over him the next week.

Fortunately, that wasn't an issue on the now-defunct Classics On Demand and won't be an issue on the Network.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Holding him up, from time to time. Especially in the wee small hours...

    ReplyDelete
  103. For what they paid Hogan from 09-13, TNA could have brought in both Kings of Wrestling, Del Ray, Bryan and a few other ROHers to have one heck of a mid card / knockouts division.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Warrior rarely wrestled on tv so his WWE PPV matches are mostly good (Hogan, Savage, Rude) or quick squashes. Vince smartly protected a limited worker.

    ReplyDelete
  105. But how can he get the app?

    ReplyDelete
  106. If only someone from the WWE -- maybe Michael Cole -- had taken a few minutes out of Raw to communicate how said app could be downloaded on smartphones, tablets, gaming devices or set top internet television devices.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  111. huh? I thought your point was that Rhodes looked weaker? but I think after a very short time it became clear that Rhodes > DiBiase (even the WWE themselves realized it. at least that's why I think that Rhodes got placed as a decent midcarder while DiBiase spent most of his time wrestling in the undercard).

    ReplyDelete

  119. I think Big E is more fluid and dynamic in the ring than Titus at this point. Titus is stiff (in his movements, not how hard he hits) and at least once per match it seems he does something that reminds me wrestling is fake. I was thinking about Ron Simmons too, but I like that D'Von has (correct me if I'm wrong) more experience overseas and in every kind of promotion from small indies to big-time WWE at their peak.
