Comments

  1. Well, I'm having trouble logging on with my XBox, but I do like the interface thus far.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Watching GAB 1989 on my iphone right now and the stream is flawless.

  3. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:07 AM

    huh? wwe network?

is this a thing? you think they'd have promoted it better

    ReplyDelete
  4. Yep. Can't sign up. Of course. They're providing the first week as a free trial, which I suppose is their way of saying, "Yeah...this is gonna suck for the first week while we try and figure this out, so we're just not gonna charge you."

    ReplyDelete
  5. I signed up no problem at all and it is working great on my iphone of all things.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Last night: "WWE screws the fans over again!"
    This morning: "Baaaaaa! Baaaaaaa!"

    ReplyDelete
  7. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:08 AM

there's honestly no point in signing up right away. nxt arrival is the 1st original streaming program that might be worth anything in a live setting

    ReplyDelete
  8. I did already say that I hate you.

    ReplyDelete
  9. "The requested object does not exist on the server. The link you followed is either outdated, inaccurate, or the server has been instructed not to let you have it."

Kind of like a Daniel Bryan WWE Title win...

    ReplyDelete
  10. Question: as a Canadian, is there a way to sign up? I know it hasn't launched in Canada, but Scott said he signed up?

    ReplyDelete
  11. If you're Canadian, all you have to do is provide a US address. Doesn't matter who's, just any random US address. I'm paying via my Canadian credit card and watching ECW Hardcore TV from 1994 as we speak

    ReplyDelete
  12. how exactly did the fans get screwed?

    ReplyDelete
  13. But wouldn't it have to be the same billing address as your credit card?

    ReplyDelete
  14. But I love everyone

    ReplyDelete
  15. We are attempting to process your request. Please wait...

    ReplyDelete
  16. and I hate everyone. It balances out.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I just skipped the first week, and signed up on the spot. Only got charged $9.99.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I signed up at 8:30 this morning (I guess they decided to launch the on demand stuff early). Quick things I noticed:

    1. PPVs are all up, obviously.

    2. The non PPV stuff is very slim right now. 4 episodes of ECW Hardcore TV, 1 episode of WCCW, 3 episodes of Legends of Wrestling, and four old shows from MSG (and a couple old Raws and Smackdowns too, I think). Cool stuff but had hoped for more from the older stuff. I'm sure we'll get it as we go along.

    3. Looks like Raw and Smackdown might be delayed by a month. They have the full run of Raw (or I think so, I didn't check each and every episode) from the beginning of 2012 until the end of January. Batista's debut show is the most recent one they have up.

    4. I didn't check everything but there was no glitches in the Mankind/Rock match at Rumble 99, chairshots to the head were shown.

    5. I checked WM 20 to see the mysterious Chris Benoit disclaimer, but it was non existent. Just TV-14 for language.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Not all of the archive was available on my iphone.
I did see a section for World Class but nothing was available

    ReplyDelete
  20. Got further than I had before, typed in the credit card info and...nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Didn't work for me either. Probably major traffic. I'll try later.

    ReplyDelete
  22. There's only one episode available for World Class right now.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Daniel Bryan lost.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Apparently not! Maybe it thinks it's been given as a gift?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Is there any way that we can blame Batista for this?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Goddammit. This is why they fucking should have been letting us sign up all along. Fuckers.

    ReplyDelete
  27. To be fair, the sheep are excited about pretty much everything BUT the current product.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Still having trouble, sometimes I can get on the first page to sign in on my WWE account, sometimes I can get to the account info page but it seems to fuck up on a page after that. Im not bitching though, I'm sure the website servers are being bombarded with people.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:20 AM

i wonder if it's simply going to be the same thing they showed on 24/7, with michael hayes and (at the time) kevin von erich hosting

    ReplyDelete
  30. No matter when they did it, the crash at the open was inevitable. Worth it when you get through.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I actually got my credit card info entered but then got timed out when it was processing

    ReplyDelete
  32. Not sure, I haven't had time to actually check (alas, still have work today), but possibly.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, this doesn't surprise me at all. This happens at the launch of just about anything new.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Very true, although I think he meant that they should have let signups happen earlier so that when the Network launched this morning, they could have just enabled the already signed up accounts.

    ReplyDelete
  35. It's all a swerve. Russo's back.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I signed up at 8:40. Guess that was the way to go.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:23 AM

ok, while it's early: someone predict a comment count for this thread

    ReplyDelete
  38. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:23 AM

    cheater

you're why everyone else can't have nice networks

    ReplyDelete
  39. So, estimates on how many will be signed up by the end of the day? Provided the servers will let them, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Me too. I actually went on WWE.com just to sign into my account so it'd be open already at 9, but they gave me the option right then so I did that.

    ReplyDelete
  41. SIgned up at 8:58 and the site timed out while putting through my Paypal info. I thought it didn't work, but then I logged in on the app on my Nexus 7 and it's working perfectly right now. I'm watching Wrestlemania Rewind.

    ReplyDelete
  42. 1760. Could go much higher, but we will all swarm onto the RAW thread.

This could be a long day.

    ReplyDelete
  43. No way. If Russo was back, that Darren Young/Titus O'Neil match last night would have been racist/homophobic bullshit. Instead it was just boring.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Ditto. I got to watch the TEST BARS OF DOOM

    ReplyDelete
  45. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:26 AM

    'TEST BARS OF DOOM"

i liked his match at summerslam 99

    ReplyDelete
  46. Exactly, I kinda expected this.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Haha, I did put that one on too, although the archive was working so I just popped around in there to see what they had and to see what the "Chris Benoit" disclaimer would be (nothing) and if they would take out chairshots to the head (no).

    ReplyDelete
  48. 4: (sigh of relief) Sounds like the Network got the "uncut and uncensored" part right at least (well, as far as they could get it right... music rights BS and all)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I read that too quick and thought it said TEST BEARS.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I think 2000 is almost a given, especially if the problems persist throughout the day.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Do not, I repeat DO NOT, try it out on more than one device right now. I tried making sure it worked on my desktop, PS3 and iPhone, and now I can't log in at all because of "too many sign in attempts"

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yeah, the music being changed will suck (I assume it will be, haven't checked yet) but there's no way I'd blame them for that one, it's out of their control without paying stupid amounts of money in rights fees. The rest didn't need to be changed and so far hasn't been, although I haven't gone deep into it or anything, just checked the one match since when I think "chairshots to the head" that match springs to mind. Maybe more recent stuff would be edited, no clue, but doesn't look like it.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yep. I actually glanced through the terms. One device only, period.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Anyone signed up but it still won't work? I'm on the main page trying to stream Wrestlemania Rewind but it won't work.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Period? Like at a time, or you can only use it on device at all?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Signed up successfully, but cant access anything. Site is JAMMED.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Really? I was watching it on my phone then switched to the Roku and it was fine, although it wasn't at the same time. I thought they said there could be two devices signed in to the same account at a time, though. Maybe not.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:30 AM

i'd seriously love to know the percentage of people who are signing up while at work. with mobile devices it's obviously adds a different flavor in that no matter the type of work you do, you can sign up when you have a moment. but i'm amused by the thought of tons of people sitting at their office machines not doing work and instead trying to get the network

    ReplyDelete
  59. I will go hang my head in shame

    ReplyDelete
  60. Seriously? That's ridiculous

    ReplyDelete
  61. Makes ya wonder how live streaming of PPVs is gonna go.

    ReplyDelete
  62. To clarify....watch on multiple devices, but only one at a time. Sorry to confuse.

    ReplyDelete
  63. It's working fine for me. I'm streaming Wrestlemania Rewind on the Roku right now.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Gotcha, that makes more sense, although I still thought they said two at a time, not one. Too bad.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Live stream is working flawlessly, even through all this. It's the truckload of people jamming the vault right now I suppose.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Make sure to keep an eye on your TPS reports, should they apply.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I still can't get signed in to order the network

    ReplyDelete
  68. Can we just get to the big question??

    DID SCOTT GET SIGNED UP.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I've been watching GAB 1989 since 9:01

    ReplyDelete
  70. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:33 AM

imagine if wwe forced that stupid dubstep crap on you while you were waiting for your order to go through

    ReplyDelete
  71. I missed the first half of Wrestlemania Rewind, but it seems like it may have been guys talking about the WM 1 main event followed by them showing the whole match, which is a cooler idea for the show than I thought it was going to be.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Looks like lots of Bill Apter on these docs now, which is pretty cool.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Guess I got lucky by signing up early

    ReplyDelete
  74. That's unfortunate. i'm watching WCW Souled Out 1998.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Ah, I was able to watch stuff in the Vault earlier but haven't tried in the last 20 minutes or so.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:35 AM

you're not gonna make yourself any more friends, lol

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hang in there gang. This will all end when 100,000 kids get their parents credit cards cancelled by too many botched attempts.

    ReplyDelete
  78. The network has been up since 6am

    ReplyDelete
  79. Is anyone else having trouble getting signed in on the Xbox?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Kids should be in school, damn it!

    ReplyDelete
  81. I would never do such a thing.

    *looks around nervously*

    ReplyDelete
  82. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:37 AM

THE WORLD OPERATES ON EST, BRAH

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yay! WWE Network tech support doesn't even work!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:38 AM

    they are

    ReplyDelete
  85. Stranger in the AlpsFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:38 AM

That noise you're referring to is the sentient ebing known as Jesse Baker, all self-aware and everything.

    ReplyDelete
  86. This is going to turn in to a Michael Cole joke on Raw tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Your_Favourite_LoserFebruary 24, 2014 at 7:38 AM

"Is anyone else having trouble getting signed in"

    ftfy

    ReplyDelete
  88. anyone else using a roku 2 player? I'm on and some stuff is there but overall it seems kinda glitchy so far regarding the full selection of PPVs and even letting me select some of the ones that are there, not complaining just questioning and hoping it isn't my player and it is just system overload at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Can't even get the Billing Info page to load properly; it's as far as I've gotten

    ReplyDelete
  90. I'm technically supposed to be working so I only tried once and couldn't get through. I'll probably end up waiting a week once the rush is over.

    ReplyDelete
  91. WWE has really changed the world alright...

    ReplyDelete
  92. I sighed in on my Roku without any issue

    ReplyDelete
  93. More likely a "Did you Know?"

    ReplyDelete
  94. I am, but I can access the network on my laptop. Xbox WWE app is giving me the "Unrecognized Email or Password" response. I have to go work, so hopefully this gets up and running before the Raw Pre-show tonight, I would prefer to watch that on my TV.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Pretty much.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I have a Roku 3, the only problem I had was I'd hit the buttom to load a section (say, WCCW) and it wouldn't do anything for about 20-30 seconds, then it would load. I'm assuming that's just it running slower due to traffic. Otherwise it's been fine.

    ReplyDelete
  97. The first thing I started watching was the last WCW PPV Greed 2001.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I'm signed up and in! The first thing it auto-launched was the main event of WrestleMania I! Jesse's commentary is there (but I think his WrestleMania commentary was always allowed)...epic!

    ReplyDelete
  99. You know, I didn't have this much trouble getting a PS4 on launch day.

    ReplyDelete
  100. BTW, I'm running the app and streaming on my Nexus 7...

    ReplyDelete
  101. I imagine not nearly as many people bought a PS4 at launch, though.

    ReplyDelete
  102. It probably autolaunched the 24/7 Stream, WM Rewind is showing the full WM 1 main event right now.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Lot of people I don't even recognize posting here. Should be a fun day.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I'm not able to get any channel selections though...only the streamed WrestleMania Rewind...do you have access to search for PPV's and shows on your Nexus 7?

    ReplyDelete
  105. It is doing the same thing to me. I click on schedule and WCW PPV pop up, and it seems to be loading everything slowly. The first thing I did was look at ECW tv. At first it started with 1994, no it has shows from 93.

    ReplyDelete
  106. TJ: By the way, man is True Detective an awesome show. Maybe the best show on tv right now. Too bad it's over in two weeks.

Oh and I got a tingly sensation in my pants during that second sex scene.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Glad it's not just me. I literally get the spinning loading wheel of doom, all the rest of the page loads up just fine, but one section will not load, and it's pretty pivitol lol

    ReplyDelete
  108. So, I can't remember my password for the WWE website, and it's preventing me from appropriately signing up, because it won't send me a new one. Hopefully it gets less clogged later...

    ReplyDelete
  109. Is everyone still having problems trying to sign up?

    ReplyDelete
  110. I'm getting the same thing. It'll work eventually.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I AM GETTING TO NO MERCY 2002 IF IT KILLS ME.

(I just wanna see how much they edited out the Katie Vick Angle)

    ReplyDelete
  112. Yessir. The payment information doesn't come up, if it actually takes you to the sign up site.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Correct, but I'm unable to leave the stream and search channels...can you?

    ReplyDelete
  114. Out of curiosity, why does everyone assume they edited it out? You're not the first person I've seen say that, but it wouldn't even occur to me. It was dumb and disgusting but they've done stupid shit all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  115. thanks, i'm prob just being a little too impatient, just got the roku so not fully familiar with it yet

    ReplyDelete
  116. I'm seeing reports that UK users have been able to sign up using fake US address (with UK credit card) and can watch archive content without a US IP address (live content requires US IP).

    ReplyDelete
  117. I was able to earlier but haven't tried recently, and I'm headed to work now. Someone else said they were having problems with the archive too.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Writing the phrase: "I got it! I'm currently watching ________________" on a forum of angry wrestling fans struggling with the server is like gleefully eating a meatball grinder in front of a Rwandan village

    ReplyDelete
  119. Taking a lifetime to process.

    The struggle is real.

    ReplyDelete
  120. That sucks. They need to have it accessible soon and definitely before RAW makes it to air.

    ReplyDelete
  121. It's rated TV-14 for Sexual comment. IT MIGHT BE THERE.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Someone below mentioned Canadian users being able to do the same.

    ReplyDelete
  123. WORK. YOU. PIECE. OF. SHIT. WEBSITE.

    ReplyDelete
  124. WOW. Early upvote leader.

    You monster.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Figure it's not online poker. They would probably take a Paypal Account from 123 Fake Street to get the quick $60.

    ReplyDelete
  126. He tripped over the main T3 line and took out half the network.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Yeah it took about 10/15 min. for me to get my account confirmation email from them...

    ReplyDelete
  128. I'm in and SuperBrawl 2 is streaming while I'm "working."

    ReplyDelete
  129. The struggle is going to end with Vince stealing your credit card info as punishment for getting yourself over.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Anyone know the tech support number? I believe I completed the transaction, but the server was disrupted prior to the confirmation screen for me

    ReplyDelete
  131. Got a job interview coming while I'm at work. Time to slip away for a phone interview for a few. The Network will have to wait a while.

    ReplyDelete
  132. It did the same for me. I checked my banking and email and nothing new is in there, so I doubt it went through.

    ReplyDelete
  133. OK, so you want the WWE Network, let's just get you signed up on the website....
    And IT'S GONE!

Let's try that again, we're up to the billing information....
    And IT'S GONE!

    Now let's just try again....
    And IT'S GONE!

    ReplyDelete
  134. That's one thing I don't miss being self employed, job interviews.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Ok, can someone help me here.

I've finally got the PayPal section to load after selecting the Free Week's Trial, and it looks as though it's going to charge me $10...

My understanding was that you could have the week trial absolutely free and opt out?

    ReplyDelete
  136. Well this is exactly why I'm waiting for a day or two to sign up. I foresaw this problem. Don't freak out guys, we'll have it within say 48 to 72 hours. Now is anyone already in? What's the line up as far as TV shows?

    ReplyDelete
  137. "We're sorry. We can not process your request. Please try again later."

Well, at least it's something new!

    ReplyDelete
  138. What's the library like for old shows?

    ReplyDelete
  139. I have to work the rest of the week, this is the only day/night I have a chance to spend all day watching!

    ReplyDelete
  140. Watching GAB 89 on my iphone.
Not everything is up yet, but there is a lot of PPV's available.
Looks like episodes of World Class will be added too, along with RAW and Smackdown episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  141. This kind of scares me. If a page has gone down for an hour now, what makes you think the PPVs won't either?

    ReplyDelete
  142. For those of you signed in: Saturday Night's Main Event availability. Yes or no?

    ReplyDelete
  143. Signed up. Streaming fine. Being a computer tech has its benefits!!

    ReplyDelete
  144. They have a month to work out any kind of stress test bugs. Given that there's a live, 24/7 show playing, they can constantly test that.

    ReplyDelete
  145. It looks like all PPV are available now. 1 WCCW show, 4 ECW hardcore TV shows. I didn't look at Raw/Smackdown, and no SNME it appears. Of note, watching SuperBrawl 2 and Ventura's commentary is not edited out. His music sounded dubbed though.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I figure they wont know how much bandwidth they will need until they get a sign up number. And once they know that number, they can adjust. Besides, if Mania crashes on them, this whole business model could collapse, and send the stock WAYYYYY down.

Speaking of the stock price, it's about to hit $25. Which is just hilarious since Steph puked up MILLIONS and MILLIONS of shares in the $9-11 range.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Question for anybody who has gotten through and ordered it, have you been able to play it on the XBox 360?

    ReplyDelete
  148. Yeah, it was really stupid to force people to wait until launch day to sign up. Stagger the sign ups over the weeks we had to wait from the announcement.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Someone remind me again why we weren't allowed to sign up weeks in advance?

    ReplyDelete
  150. How's the Network guys?

    ReplyDelete
  151. I thought you were, or was that just for email notifications?

    ReplyDelete
  152. But will that many people be watching one program at any one time at a level comparable to how many people will be watching WM?

    ReplyDelete
  153. I dont think MLBTV has too many issues and Im guessing WWE Network wont have close to the amount of subscribers MLBTV has....

    ReplyDelete
  154. Well gee whiz, if we all could do that, do you think it'd be armageddon right now?

    ReplyDelete
  155. I can't see the words NO MERCY and not think of the game, which has me thinking there's a potential goldmine if the Network also implements a Steam component that allows access to their games catalogue.

WWF Raw for the SNES was an undervalued gem.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Another great point. But hell, even MLBTV has opening day bugs.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Plays smooth as Hell despite the traffic it is getting...however on my Nexus 7 I'm unable to search for shows...only watch the live stream...on the website, I can search for shows, but the videos never launch; they just pull up more search results.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Sure but there are probably over a million viewers for MLBTV on opening day, WWE Network will be lucky if it has over 100,000 by Mania....

    ReplyDelete
  159. I was able to subscribe at 8:55 am EST and it was effortless. Not a bad library so far at launch...

    ReplyDelete
  160. I'm half expecting a page to pop up with Wade Barrett saying..."I'm afraid I've got some bad news."

    ReplyDelete
  161. Well good, hopefully it will become easier to watch everything once the bugs are fixed in a day or two.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I'm kind of flabbergasted that WWE didn't do a Beta period to stress test their servers against just this kind of situation. You would not only be able to see how your network would handle being slammed, but you'd be able to get an idea of how many people you'd be looking at at launch and adjust your server space accordingly.

I'm sure once I can actually sign up and play around, this will be great. But dealing with the initial frustration is going to drive a lot of people away, ESPECIALLY if they don't have this figured out by 6PM EST.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Shows with blood and excessive violence are prefaced with a TV-14 Violence bumper...

    ReplyDelete
  164. It was an incredibly stupid way of doing things and they had plenty of time to think this out...

    ReplyDelete
  165. You're self employed? What type of job?

    ReplyDelete
  166. Im watching the Wrestlemania show on the first one and it is pretty well done so far....

    ReplyDelete
  167. Have you gotten to Benoit yet?

    ReplyDelete
  168. Ah well. Can't expect EVERYTHING all at once. Maybe they'll put it on later on.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Hit a few Benoit spots. No edits, even in the simple promos.

    ReplyDelete
  170. I am giggling like a little school girl right now. People at work will find me weird. THANKS A LOT!!!

    ReplyDelete
  171. So my wife gave me a choice today; I could either purchase the Network and stay at the house all day, or I could have 'marital relations' and then take a day trip to the mountains.

Ricola, bitches. Enjoy the lag! (Heel Turn)

    ReplyDelete
  172. Watched the Royal Rumble 2003 Promo...tons of Benoit there. Trying to get a HHH/Steiner screen grab for Scott.

Even the "Sponsored by Playstation TWO" is still there. Completely clean.

    ReplyDelete
  173. I'd actually think that's a good idea for now.

    ReplyDelete
  174. You couldnt sign up until today. I wonder if they wanted it to overload so they can have something to boast about....

    ReplyDelete
  175. Same with me, at the bottom of the page it says 8663085684 for customer service

    ReplyDelete
  176. Pfft. You will both be feuding by Money in the Bank.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Wow, that really is unedited.

    ReplyDelete
