  1. "Ve vill cut off your Johnson, Jarrett!"
    "What, man?"
"I SAID, VE VILL CUT OFF YOUR JOHNSON!"

  2. Good post. Sure the royalty stuff probably pissed Vince off but that seems like a small transgression. It's just odd that Vince held such a grudge about stuff that all seemed to be done within bounds.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Raw: Last one before WM...
Legends: That's an excellent use of the Network.
Devitt: He's good, but I'm sure NJPW will go on just fine.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Well, hopefully they do a good job of building some momentum for WM tonight. as I actually will be in attendance. The only other time I went to Raw we all witnessed Mae Young give birth to a hand, so hopefully nothing so disturbing happens again.

And I will be saying "Bootista."

    ReplyDelete
  5. Bit of a difference from "Hey, my contract's expiring; can you pay me what you owe me?" and "Screw you, I'm going home."

    ReplyDelete
  6. Stranger in the AlpsMarch 31, 2014 at 8:11 AM

Frowny face. That was the highlight of recommendation, dammit.

    ReplyDelete
  7. You're not getting it.

    ReplyDelete
  8. NJPW will be ok, given the all the other great guys they have.

    ReplyDelete
  9. BUT WHOSE SIDE IS HE ON?!

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'm not sure, but you could be on to something.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Must not get the Farva reference.

    ReplyDelete
  12. DO NOT put Flair on this Live Rountable. He goes on and on too long, cuts people off and won't just shut the fuck up when asked! That would be terrible in a Live show.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Is it wrong I checked Armageddon just to see if it was blurred (indeed it was)? To make up for it... random Simpsons reference! "If you're heading for the medicine cabinet, I've already been there."

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah I think the comment was just meant to be funny. Plus he probably didn't plan on bringing Jarrett in since he and Russo tried to make him a main event level guy and he failed in WWF and WCW. There were bigger fish to consider. Ditto the Luger thing. Definite heat from the Nitro debut but Luger was washed up and wasn't lighting business on fire. If Vince thinks money can be made he will usually sign someone regardless if heat (Hogan, Bret, Sable).

    ReplyDelete
  15. Come on, we all know that the ultimate slap in the face to Jarrett was when Vince let Jericho hold the IC title more times then him.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Let's hope they deliver tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Cool, yeah they usually kick it into overdrive for the raw before Mania.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Might as well have called it the Bret Hart Show. Other than his three matches, there's nothing left to really check out, other than Hogan doing a going-away job or Yoko. It's a fun show from start to finish, but in terms quality wrestling, Bret vs. Anyone is the only matches to pay attention to.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You don't want Josh Matthews to get fired?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm guessing you do?

    ReplyDelete
  21. CM Punk vs Cena from the Raw 2 weeks after EC 13.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Gonna have to look into to that, maybe he used too much puppy power.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Someone wanna give me the rundown on what makes Devitt such a steal?

Not to be a dick, but I don't care if he's had amazing matches in NJPW because it's a product and style so different than the WWE that it's irrelevant. What makes him a good WWE signing?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Thanks. Since I'm already going on almost no sleep and this thing will roll until almost 11:30, they better keep it lively.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Didn't Jarrett leave over money in 1995? And had another falling out with Vince in 1996? Maybe 1999 was just the last straw.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, he's been terrible on the legends roundtables.

Speaking of which, I saw one the other day from 2008 featuring Tazz, Foley, and Flair, and they were all ragging on TNA and what a pissant promotion it was. So funny to watch in retrospect since within a year or two they were all working for it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Prince Devitt is a little guy correct? What's his ceiling? Chavo?

    ReplyDelete
  28. It's a 3 hour Raw, 4 of you count the tapings and dark matches, they will have dead points.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Can't say I disagree, since that's the impression I got when I watched it the first time when I was 10. Still, seeing Hogan do the job and getting annihilated in the process is always good for a laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Drink a lot of coffee because you don't wanna rest on that assumption.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Since I don't think they can sell anyone in the idea of Brock beating Taker, thet should have hyped it by "Can Brock end Takers career?"

Bring up the fact Brocks beaten him before, play up Takers age, and just promote the match as being a brutal fight. They've done nothing to get me interested in this match

    ReplyDelete
  32. That's what some stories say. I've heard he demanded $150,000 but then he's said that was what was already owed to him. I'm not sure who to believe, really, his contract ran out the day before the match. By all accounts the office over-looked that his contract was expiring, and Jarrett wasn't bringing it to anyone's attention for some reason. That reason possibly being so he could walk into No Mercy, point out his contract was expired and ask for a large sum of money to drop the title. I mean, he says he only wanted his royalties paid up front but he surely wanted to be paid something for working the match to, right?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm already on cup number three today. I will plan on drinking some more.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I managed to catch the Hogan vs. Lesnar "Best of Smackdown" episode over the weekend. I swear, 2002 Smackdown ages better and better everytime I see it. The Smackdown Six stuff is obvious, but even the show from late June that featured Hogan vs. Jericho before Benoit and Eddie switched brands was great as well."

Anyway, about the show, Hogan vs. Lesnar is still an awesome match to watch from an experimental standpoint, and man did Hogan EVER do the job there. The 6-man that proceeded it was topnotch as well, featuring Edge/Cena/Mysterio vs. Benoit/Eddie/Angle, and the aftermath featured Angle's classic "12-year-old" line.

Sigh... I love this Network. :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. 5 11 it seems, he'll probably get over, question is though, if the Shield is still around could he be a new member?

    ReplyDelete
  36. And they will continue to do nothing but say "Brock, Taker, WrestleMania, Sunday, Live, on the WWE Network"

    ReplyDelete
  37. Get some of that 5 hour energy.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Cocaine is obviously the answer

    ReplyDelete
  39. You want him to fail wellness at the gate?

    ReplyDelete
  40. It's funny that he gave the belt to someone further up the WWE blacklist than Jarrett himself.

    ReplyDelete
  41. A Legends Roundtable after Smackdown would make sense, since I don't see them trying to actually treat that not needed Smackdown as an actual show.

    ReplyDelete
  42. HISTORY BECKONS THE MACHO MAN!

Totally unrelated to anything, but it's such an awesome line.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Brock needs to look like a beast tonight. They missed a trick last week by not having him fuck up those druids/destroy that casket. 100% needs to have the upper hand on Taker tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  44. At this point in time, the only person he's been able to dominate was Henry.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Chyna's a woman who's build like a man, but because she's a woman Vince could have sex with her and not be gay - for her to not be part of the WWE Family for life shows how crazy she must have been.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Is he still an Anti-Scientology warrior?

    Or did they disappear him?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yeah. I checked for them last week and was disappointed. I had to go to Dailymotion to see them again..

    ReplyDelete
  48. Definitely. Have him F5 Taker or something. The feud has been primarily Heyman dragging it along

    ReplyDelete
  49. Oh come on, I haven't heard him talk about how the nWo was bad for wrestling and the Horseman should have done more in 1997 in months.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I liked the contract signing. I haven't seen a good contract pen stabbing since The Running Man.

Taker should have followed it with "Don't forget to send me a copy."

    ReplyDelete
  51. I can't remember exactly how it was worded, but the story suggested Austin didn't believe Jarrett and Debra's relationship was strictly professional before they got together.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hunter seems to have a type, I can just picture him laying in bed with Stephanie trying to smooth talk her..."maybe you should life some weights tomorrow, you know, if you want to, I don't care, but a lot of women are doing it."

    ReplyDelete
  53. Ah he was paranoid. Well that makes sense given he basically admitted her was a paranoid mess in his book.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yep, Brock does need to cause damage. The one positive is, while Taker has had the edge in the other 2 confrontations, he used mind games, or the element of surprise. So Brock hasn't looked THAT bad yet.

    ReplyDelete
  55. It actually started years earlier when Austin was a rookie and working for jerry Jarrett. Austin like many others never liked Jeff or his attitude. When Jeff returned in 97 and cut his "shoot" promo on raw and called Austin blasphemous for 316, Austin freaked out on him. Austin thought Jarrett went too far and a comment like that could affect his character and cause religious issues (and that shirt was the hottest selling T-shirt ever then). So Austin told Russo and McMahon that Jarrett can fuck himself and he ain't working a program with him. Russo tried a few times in 99 but Austin vetoed it. I'm sure the Debra situation didn't help either

    ReplyDelete
  56. I second this. Some guys just aren't good for the legend roundtables. Flair is horrible. Hayes talks over and interrupts other guys too, but at least has funny stories and doesn't take himself as seriously as Flair.

It was always awkward when Mike Graham was on, as the others were nice enough to try and pretend that he had any business being there.

I like Lawler on the Roundtables WAY more than I've ever liked him on commentary.

Just for the lulz, I'd love to see a roundtable of JR, Heyman, Bischoff, and Russo. Foley can moderate, since he gets along with all of them.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Watching Rumble 92 because fuck you it's Rumble 92!

    ReplyDelete
  58. A Legends Roundtable DURING Smackdown would be about as useful as Smackdown is going to be. And would draw as good a rating, I bet.

    ReplyDelete
  59. He has a ton of charisma and he is a great worker

    ReplyDelete
  60. His anti nwo stuff is SO grating after awhile. Biggest angle of all time but still bad for business, huh Ric?

    ReplyDelete
  61. All promoters and wrestlers are shady lol. Its an old game. Dog eat dog world. Well, maybe not today in the corporate
Monopoly wwe era. Its much more one sided now.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Not a terrible idea - they can discuss all the matches and draw comparisons to things they remember. Plugs WM and is a unique thing at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Undertaker: "I'll be back!"
    Heyman: "Only in a rerun"

    ReplyDelete
  64. He may have to suck some dick for said crack. I'm sure Jeff Hardy will be around.

    ReplyDelete
  65. "WWE Network to Air Live "Legends of Wrestling" Roundtable"

Sounds like a great way for WWE to come up with reasons to hire JR again... so they can fire him agian.

    ReplyDelete
  66. The book/short story The Running Man is better. But at least in the movie Arnold avenges all those young girls Dawson molested on the Fued.

    ReplyDelete
  67. So the tag title match is relegated to the pre-show and the Rhodes bros won't even be working wrestlemania! I'm sorry but the authority angle is a flop. They even has Cody Rhodes way over and doing his best in ring work and they just 100% stop it? Wtf

    ReplyDelete
  68. He gets very annoying, but the nWo eventually became almost as bad for WCW as it ever was good. It was a crutch for lazy writing, which you could actually compare the Horsemen to. Great initial run, watered down over time for diminishing returns.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Flair: "Who is TNA?" He was so annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I think the book was too different to even compare. If they'd changed the name of the movie and characters to something else, no one would really have immediately thought "Hey, that's from that Bachman (King) book!"

    ReplyDelete
  71. The Love-Matic Grampa!March 31, 2014 at 9:31 AM

The story probably should have been "Brock doesn't care about the Streak, he just wants to end Undertaker's career" which would allow Brock to demolish him in the match and look like the monster he always should have been and then out of desperation Taker catches him with the Hell's Gate and taps him out with his last bit of strength. Brock looks good, Taker keeps his Streak, everyone wins. Yeah, I know that's the booking from the second HHH/Taker match but it's not plagiarism if you're stealing from yourself...right?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Is it just me or does RAW have more commercial breaks than ever before? You watch old 1990s RAWs and there were fewer commercial breaks during matches and those matches went 6-8 minutes. Matches still take that long, but we seem to get a commercial break in between.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Rhodes are in the battle royal

    ReplyDelete
  74. Nah - if the WWE was that inept that they didn't know his contract was up, he's not in the wrong. It's not his job to say 'my contract is almost up.'

    ReplyDelete
  75. It's a little thing called, We want more ad revenue!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Love it. Since nobody believes anyone is going to beat Taker, except a small contigent who would buy Cena as a legit threat, I think you have to sell his streak matches that way. Why not play up his age, his past history with Brock, etc.?

    Especially with THE BEAST INCARNATE

    ReplyDelete
  77. Slight threadjack:

I've been thinking of signing up for either the Observer (used to subscribe a while ago but haven't since 2007 or 2008) or the Torch, not so much for current stuff as much as historical issues. With The Network launching, I think it'd be neat to be able to read about the backstage happenings of some of the older stuff I watch on The Network. Does anyone know which service seems to have more/better issues backlogged?

Cheers to anyone who can help.

    ReplyDelete
  78. They could also just have half of the show at Access and half with the Roundtable.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I've had both. They're just different styles of "reporting". They both have good backlogged issues. Torch has more tho iirc

    ReplyDelete
  80. The observer releases a back issue weekly and they have archived from 1992 and are on 1997 now.

The torch releases some older stuff a few times a week, including audio and newsletters.

    ReplyDelete
  81. It's because of lines like this that I can't wait for them to start posting episodes of Tuesday Night Titans.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Worst_in_the_WorldMarch 31, 2014 at 9:43 AM

Zero reason why the Rhodes Bros had to lose the titles before Mania. As champs they had TONS of steam. Rhodes vs Usos could have been a super hot face vs face title match, or even Rhodes vs Real Americans. Or some kind of 4-team ladder match.

Basically, Rhodes defending the titles at Mania could have been an actual midcard selling point.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Nice only two wrestlers in the ring are dead now. Wait is Meng dead? Maybe three.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Only one person in the ring is dead now! Granted only Bossman and Flair are in the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  85. (According to Wiki, so the usual warnings apply)

Jarrett did "leave" in 1995, heading back to the USWA for seven months. There's nothing about money in the article, but this is Wiki. His first trip to WCW was indeed over a contract dispute, in October 1996.

It's circumstantial at best, but plausible.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Meng will be making you dead in the next few hours. Feel free to shit your pants now.

    ;)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Just a year later in 2003 Steph was bigger than she is now. Much like her husband, her physique fluctuates quite noticeably.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Stephanie is emailing Scott directly now???

    ReplyDelete
  89. The HHH Documentary is pretty funny when you consider not one talent who was considered to be buried during the HHH Reign of Terror from 2002-2005 appeared in the documentary talking HHH up.

    ReplyDelete
  90. You're a dirty old man, Stranger. Kudos.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I know the bulk of the story around his leaving and asking Vince for all his money up front.

Here's my question, has McMahon EVER not paid a performer what they were owed? I've yet to read a story about anyone not receiving so much as a cent less of what they were promised by McMahon - which makes Jarrett demanding all of that money upfront sorta ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Stranger in the AlpsMarch 31, 2014 at 10:30 AM

You're getting 38 low blows in our BoD Mania match.

    ReplyDelete
  93. That, or that the reference has seen better days.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Ppv pay is simply decided by management, all what they feel is deserved (I.e. hogan, warrior, Jericho, all complaining about their ppv compensation).

    ReplyDelete
  95. I watched that last week. How do you turn a kick ass team like the Destruction Crew into the lame ass Beverly Brothers? And I guess I must have blocked Jamison out of my memory, but what an utterly stupid character.

    ReplyDelete
  96. He left after having problems with his push and ppv payouts in 95. He hated the fake singing angle

    ReplyDelete
  97. Vince McMahon has a LOT to answer for, but I don't remember anyone ever saying, "THE SUMBITCH STIFFED ME!" If Vince owes you money, you get it.

And in the end, he was right about Jarrett. Alright in-ring, NOT a main eventer.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I always felt like Vince said that to make a point and would have brought Jarrett in if necessary, but Jarrett started TNA within like a year, right? So who knows.

I think the notion that Jarrett hasn't been in the WWF since 2001 is all because of that one incident is absurd.

    ReplyDelete
  99. For those of us who didn't watch Primetime, having Jameson out there was a big "who the hell is this dweeb" moment. Did he exist outside of PTW, or am I remembered the weekend syndies wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Many people have done FAR worse to Vince than what Jarrett did, so I've never quite understood the grudge myself. The only thing I can come up with is that Vince has always forgiven/forgotten most transgressions with past talent...if there is money to be made and/or the talent came to him wanting to bury the hatchet and move on. To the best of my knowledge Jarrett has never tried or wanted to come back into the WWE fold, and he certainly isn't any significant source of revenue for the company. Hence, fuck him, I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Going on pure speculation considering I've never met the guy and don't know him personally, but I'd like to think Jarrett isn't the type of strong-arm someone for additional money. Love or hate him he seems like a pretty straight shooter.

    ReplyDelete
  102. and Jarrett has also told in interviews that after his wife died in 2007, McMahon called him to give his condolences.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Which makes you wonder...if Jarrett's payoffs are whatever management decides he deserves, how did he know how much he was owed?

    ReplyDelete
  104. I like listening to guys like Honky Tonk Man openly say they weren't going to do a job or lose the title unless it you made it worthwhile for them to do so. It's not that I blame Jarrett, but by not bringing his contract situation up he put himself in a position where he walked into a pay per view as a title holder where he was supposed to take part in an advertised title defence before jumping to WCW the next day - I don't think he didn't know what he was doing there.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Finishing off hardcore heaven 99. Really good show with an absolutely killer taka vs super crazy match and some very epic Dudley's heel work

    ReplyDelete
  106. Is bubba the only guy to main event an ECW ppv, a wwe ppv, and a TNA ppv?

Also what was the story with candid?

    ReplyDelete
  107. I fucking hate when wrestlers brawl through the crowd.

    ReplyDelete
  108. So I was watching Royal Rumble 1989 on the WWE Network. They actually edit out when Demolition pick their numbers out of the....thingy with like 100 numbers in it. It is supposed to be after Bad News Brown and before Jake the Snake. Did they think it would give away the beginning of the Rumble? I hate censorship but understand when they do it for licensing reasons or whatever, but this was edited out for no reason!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Stranger in the AlpsMarch 31, 2014 at 11:47 AM

I don't watch TNA, but has RVD ever main evented anything there? Even if it was multiple guys in the same match?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Good question. He did have the TNA belt for awhile so he must have.

Also rvd is in rare company having main evented a wwe and ecw ppv at the exact same time!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryMarch 31, 2014 at 11:51 AM

He started in WWA (pretty much a beta version of TNA) right after WCW folded. And there's never been any reason to bring Jarrett back, especially today. The guy has never been any kind of draw, and if he showed up on Raw half the people would think "Who?" and the other half would be thinking "Who gives a fuck?"

    ReplyDelete
  112. You're talking about someone who GREW UP in the business, whose dad has been a long-time promoter. While I'm willing to give Jarrett some benefit of the doubt... I can't agree with your last line.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Ah yes, the ill-fated WWA. Mostly memorable for the BAD decision to pipe the announcers over the PA. I think I still have a VHS of their two PPVs, but hell if I can lay a finger on it right now.

    ReplyDelete
  114. *Mike Graham side-to-side headshake*

    ReplyDelete
  115. If you see it on TV, it's a work of some kind, and I imagine that goes for VKM's comments on buying WCW, too. I won't go so far as saying he cleared the comments with Jarrett, but I would be surprised if they were meant to be anything more than a rib.

Nine times out of 10, we take these comments WAY more seriously than the people involved do.

    ReplyDelete
  116. That he didn't know what he was doing? He knew his contract was expiring, he already made his deal with WCW, he could have mentioned that it was expiring and dropped the title sooner but he likely knew the upper hand it would give him. Growing up in the business doesn't necessarily mean he's above that - Bret Hart grew up in the business and didn't see anything wrong with him handing over the title and sauntering off to WCW.

I'm like the Bond villain of the blog....always revealing too much information in a moment of exposition.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I doubt jeff Jarrett would have added anything to the WWE at the time.

Didn't he basically hold Vince up for more money than he would have otherwise have gotten from that ppv, because he was out of contract?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Keep in mind that a recurring theme I've heard from guys in books, interviews and shoots is that Jarrett is a good midcard guy who honestly believes he's on the same level of mega-stardom as Hogan and Flair. His reign as NWA champ in the first half-decade of TNA made HHH look humble when it came to spotlight hogging and keeping the belt, a push of ego that even Vince couldn't handle so not surprising he'd be wary of working with a guy who believed he should be automatically champ and star of the show.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I think he hasn't been in the WWF since 2001 because he pulled that stunt... and because he sucks and adds nothing to the show. I mean, what is JEFF JARRETT gonna add? Fans that remember his legendary run as a fake country music singer? The worst Horseman of all time (and that's INCLUDING Roma)? The guy who couldn't draw any real heat as a heel until he was keeping the fans from seeing Debra's brobdingnagian hooters?

    ReplyDelete
  128. Wrestlers (and the perpetually unhappy Jim Ross) bitch about this and that exposing the business, but brawling through the crowd is one of the worst offenders.

    ReplyDelete
  129. And I just realized I missed one word. I read it as "I don't think he knew what he was doing there."

Major screwup on my end, oops.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Jeff Jarrett couldn't draw flies with a mouthful of shit- that has to be a pretty big factor on his not being invited back to the company.
Once he started and headed up a rival promotion, that was just icing on the cake. A lot of wrestlers seem to dislike both Jeff and his father (Bob Holly points this out in his book), which can't help either.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Brawling through the crowd can work but it's been used way too much.

    ReplyDelete
  132. RVD main evented TNA ppvs in 2010, 2011 and in 2012

    ReplyDelete
  133. Rhino has as well.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I always loved the line Mike Graham had on the "Rise and Fall of WCW" set that in WCW Jarrett "broke 6000 guitars, never drew a dime."

    ReplyDelete
  135. I know it's been said enough times, but damn do Cena and Punk have wicked chemistry together.

  136. Last episode of HIMYM is on tonight. I'm sad but it's time for the show to end. I get what they were going for this past season but it didn't work. By the way, Ted tells his kids how much he nailed their Aunt Robin. How their Uncle Barny railed 200+ women through the years. But smoking weed needs to be edited to eating sandwiches. WTF?

  137. Oh I read The Hardcore Truth over the weekend. Really great book. It doesn't beat out Foleys first book but its up there.

  138. Lanny Poffo actually gave the reason; he said when Savage left the WWF, there was no heat; however, Savage convinced the Slim Jim people to come with him to WCW, and that's what caused the heat between him and Vince.

  139. I'm a bit torn on Jarrett's belt holding EARLY in TNA's existence. From 2002 to about 2004, I actually understand it. For one, he was a known name in a sea of relatively unknown talent (outside of Raven, and a few guys who popped in now and then and left just as quickly). More importantly, he was the owner of the company -- since they didn't have a great contract structure, he needed to have a few key guys in place that he could trust not to screw him. People like AJ who wouldn't disappear.

So, to that degree, I get it (which instantly makes him better than HHH in my book -- simply because he had a stake in this and HHH just wanted glory). However, after about 2 years in, when they were well-established, it stopped making sense.

  140. I'm confused -- wasn't the point of the whole Austin 3:16 thing is that it WAS blasphemous? It was started in response to Jake being religious in his angle. Were they hoping people would forget or something?

  141. Yeah, but they brought in other WCW guys who didn't draw, e.g. Buff Bagwell. That couldn't have been that big of a factor.

  142. I can't even pinpoint it, but I always like Jarrett, especially his WCW stuff near the end of their run. As a performer -- I can't say much about him running a company -- he seems like a guy who wants to steal the show (in a good way) whether he's in the midcard or if he's stuck in a flailing company or whatever. Like even if the fans didn't care about him, he busted his butt trying to make them care.

  146. When you think about it, Scooby-Doo!
WrestleMania Mystery is a pretty loose remake of the WCW film Ready to
    Rumble starring David Arquette.

Really, there's a lot of parallels between these two movies:

1.Two best friends who are huge wrestling marks.

2.Said best friends crash their vehicle.

3.One of the two best friends has a wrestling match in a dream sequence.

    4.The son/nephew becomes a wrestler despite his father/uncle's objections.

    5.Non-fans become wrestling fans.

6.The wrestling pay-per-view ends with a steel cage match.
