"Proof that WWEs business model is money"
ReplyDeleteFixed that for you
What's not money is having the network website crash and be inaccessible when you're trying to process your payment for the freaking network, like right now.
ReplyDeleteCome on WWE, get your shit together.
I think the whole thing is broken ATM. Can't access anything on app either. I hope it's because they are loading even more content.
ReplyDeletePeople will twist anything to try and make it seem Daniel Bryan makes WWE money.
ReplyDeleteThis has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that US markets as a whole were up like 25% in 2013.
ReplyDeleteThe only people enjoying that page are the speculators and flippers who bought into WWE late last year... if that stock manages to stay above $20 through September, I'll be shocked. December? No Chance In Hell.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, when is the next stockholders meeting/conference call?
ReplyDeleteLol. Close...
ReplyDeleteVince: "Proof The Authority is money."
You're not getting two upvotes for the same post... ;)
ReplyDeleteProof Randy Orton vs. Batista is money...
ReplyDeleteHa. When I refreshed it kept disappearing and then reappearing.
ReplyDeleteDo any of you guys own any WWE stock? I thought about buying a few shares, just to say I have them. I'll probably wait until December though when they are back around $10/share.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you would think the assholes who created that new Netflix scam were behind this happening.
ReplyDeleteIt's fucking easier processing a Hulu payment (and anyone who's ever done that knows what a massive headache that is. Thank God for Microsoft Points and unlimited free trials) than it is to access the Network right now.
Best part: Steph cashed in millions of shares before the stock took off. Oopsies!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the emailer was being tongue-in-cheek, because the stock is doing well 1. because the markets are doing well and 2. Wall street seems pretty keen on the WWE Network. Now if they miss their target and benchmark signups are below forecast, the stock will come down.
I'm glad you concur.
ReplyDeleteThe stock is hot because of the insane forecasts some analysts have given on the Network. I read an article in Fortune where an analyst said that WWE was being conservative and they could get up to 8 million subscribers, which has to be the most insane thing I've ever read since that would be double Raw's audience.
ReplyDeleteThe WWE has done a great job of positioning the Network as they basically told investors last week, it's going to lose money through at least the end of the year as they said they want to hit the magic 1 million mark by December.
I saw a great post that made a really good point about the Network, namely, what will get people to sign up after the initial launch? Like if you don't feel the need to watch old wrestling now, why would you suddenly want to watch old wrestling in six months?
Long-winded way of saying they need a big face on top to get people interested in the PPVs again. They just need to go all-in on Daniel Bryan and see what happens. Enough is enough.
It's all Network-related. Their financial numbers are all down in the past two quarters. They lost a lot of money last quarter especially, but they said it was for the Network and investors like hearing that. They get aroused by phrases such as "new revenue streams"
ReplyDeleteown 25 shares my parents bought the day it opened (oops). Would have been nice to grab more when it was around $8 which seems roughly a week ago.
ReplyDeleteBecause the network isn't just old wrestling. You get PPVs as well and I'm pretty sure that in the near future they will start making some of their Youtube shows exclusive to the network.
ReplyDeleteSince Summerslam, HHH has been the main focus of the show. Clearly the investors love it.
ReplyDeleteTherefore, RAW will now be a 4-hour show, the first hour of which will be dedicated to HHH and HHH only.
