Scott,
Since the Raw after WrestleMania has taken on some serious significance, what would you think if the stipulation to Bryan vs. HHH is that if Bryan wins, he gets a shot at the title the next night on Raw? It seems backward since it's pay-per-view building towards television, but it would make that Raw even more insane than usual. Good idea? Bad idea? Somewhere in the middle?
Thanks
Bad idea. It would make Batista-Orton even more of a heatless foregone conclusion because everyone would just be waiting for RAW to see the Bryan payoff.
HHH is not going over. I'm not sure where this is even coming from.
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting on my refund too
ReplyDeleteMy Roku 3 works perfectly with the network app. Absolutely no complaints.
ReplyDeleteThe xbox issues are really starting to annoy the hell out of me. Where is my WCW?!
ReplyDeleteSting, Goldberg, and Warrior are all scheduled for the Raw after WM
ReplyDeleteWhy would anyone cancel the network? Imagine if NBC had an app like this, where you could watch any and all NBC programming on demand. (yes network TV rights are far different, but I'm dreaming damn it!) Friends, Seinfeld, ER, old SNLs....my god that would be great.
ReplyDeleteHHH/Bryan have their match. Bryan gets destroyed, but pulls out a victory. Come the main even 4-way (elimination for this to work) Bryan and HHH lay out Orton/Batista right quick. Then you have a pissed off HHH vs and injured DB for the WWE title on the line.
ReplyDeleteSo you're saying there's a CHANCE, though?
ReplyDeleteI hope sheamus and orton have another match that night.
ReplyDeleteI find the title win likely, but not enough to bet on it.
ReplyDeleteI'd put my house on HHH jobbing, though, and probably clean. The beatdown last night sealed the deal for me.
Savaging a handcuffed man is not what a dominant heel who feels he's in control does. That's what an unhinged and scared lunatic who fears he can't beat someone in a fair fight does.
all of this is irrelevant. we know who cranky vince is!
ReplyDeletehttp://dailywrestlingnews.com/jbl-behind-crankyvince-twitter-account/
No news today. This was the best i could do
ReplyDeleteOnly way this year's Raw after Mania lives up to the past few years is if Punk comes returns.
ReplyDeleteIf that's JBL, he's brilliant.
ReplyDeleteThe big angle post mania is probably gonna be Orton getting tossed out of the authority after losing the title, and being replaced by someone, probably Batista. Brock as the authority's ass kicker would be tremoundous tho
ReplyDeleteI read that 3 times and I didn't get your point at all. Just sounded like double-talk. I stick by my point.
ReplyDeleteNebbs pet rock or we riot!
ReplyDeleteI still get some hiccups with on demand content and the live feed still jumps
ReplyDeleteI am hoping I can be drunk enough by that point to give him a chance.
ReplyDeleteWill we ever see an era of wrestling without on screen authority figures again?
ReplyDeleteGood point on the Shield, I kind of thought that too when hearing the lack of crowd response.
ReplyDeleteMost really good face turns have a fairly obvious linear trend from start to finish. There might be a swerve or two in it, but they generally follow a good trend. This Shield face turn has been cool in that it's fairly organic, but there's still "doubt" in them actually being faces so it wasn't the blow the roof off the building moment it should be. Hopefully the next few weeks, they are clearly faces and that will give them momentum.
A bit off topic but the subject of the Stephanie/HHH wedding came up a few times on the thread last night. Now I always assumed that Stephanie was faking being drugged, and they were in cahoots the whole time but lets say she wasn't? Can you imagine how that conversation would have gone? "Umm Steph...Sorry I drugged you, married you, repeatedly consummated the marriage while you were unconscious, and ruined your wedding but...you want to team up to screw you dad over?"
ReplyDeleteHe was invited to appear for the RAW after BoD Mania but is price might be too high.
ReplyDeleteThe customer service dept stinks. I got charged twice. I need to devote an hour of my life to making one more attempt at fixing it before I call AMEX. Argh.
ReplyDeleteBut the network is awesome. I'm not cancelling- I just don't want to pay double.
Definitely looks like a fun shoot. Doesn't seem to hold any grudges either from what I can see in the trailer, but has a ton of stories.
ReplyDeleteSomeone in thread put it best last night when he asked if there was anyway HHH can get the title next week, make HHH and Bryan the main event and tell Orton and Batista to piss off.
ReplyDeleteit would be best for business.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair though, I get why people don't like Batista, (Hunter's hollywood movie star line put it best) but Orton has been busting ass just about every week since SummerSlam. I don't have a problem with seeing him in a main event spot at this point.
ReplyDeleteFinger poke of doom between HHH and Orton.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, HHH as champ vs Bryan is what they should have been building to all along.
BUDDY.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea you didn't own Apple TV. Go get one. They're not that pricy, *and* they are awesome. You will not regret it at all.
The problem is that after last night, make no mistake about it, Triple H and Bryan is the main event. The problem is because of the title stipulation there is no way it can go on last.
ReplyDeleteI think the idea would work really well if they didn't specify when Bryan would get his shot. If they were to do the Trips/Bryan match, with the stipulation being that "If Bryan wins, he gets a title shot", and then had him come out the very next night to issue the challenge and win, THAT would be a great "surprise" for the fans.
ReplyDeleteYou don't want to tell people that WM's main-event doesn't matter because the next chapter would be the following night, but if they left it open-ended, only to surprise the audience, I think it would be fantastic.
Undertaker on Main Event? Now I've seen everything.
ReplyDeleteOrton has been made to look like a chump is the problem. Sometimes he could do things on his own, other times he needed The Authority's help. Sometimes he was the chosen one, sometimes he was nothing with TA backing.
ReplyDeleteAny other year, this would be incredibly stupid. But since this is officially the first PPV that is no longer a "PPV" due to the WWE Network, it *MIGHT* make sense. But the match is already advertised for WM, so it's not happening.
ReplyDeleteSo... In other words, he was a heel??
ReplyDeleteThanks.
ReplyDeleteIf there is any news that breaks today, I will post an evening update too.
Not a well booked one.
ReplyDeleteAfter Orton lost to Bryan in the MOTYC, Triple H should have lost all faith in him and taken the belt for himself.
ReplyDeleteThe party on RAW capped off with Bryan the conquering hero is all you need
ReplyDeleteYeah, I am going to get that one.
ReplyDeleteAll of the strip club stories with Ravens Flock seem insane.
The story of him, Bagwell, and Alex Wright nailing chicks in the bathroom stall during the first Nitro at the Mall of America sounds hilarious
I'm not 100% certain on Bryan winning the title (I'm half-expecting Batista to win, as a way of trying to put heel heat on him), but there's not a doubt in my mind that Trips is tapping completely cleanly.
ReplyDeleteThen again, I do have a feeling that "The Shield" is being turned face specifically to help Bryan win the title. I fully expect Trips, Kane, and maybe Vince to once again interfere and cost Bryan the match, only for Shield to nullify them. It'd truly be "justice".
On screen authority figures aren't necessarily a bad thing. Slaughter was great during in 97, for instance. With few exceptions, the problem is when the authority figure becomes the storyline, rather than the catalyst for a story.
ReplyDeleteThe crowd is what makes the post-mania raw great though. Should be a similar makeup to last year, so it will still be highly amusing.
ReplyDeleteI had to go through paypal and cancel the agreement there to finally get it cancelled and get the refund for the month's fee they took off me during the "free week"
ReplyDeleteYou mean Sheamus and Christian.
ReplyDeletealso thanks for getting back to me about the BoD March Madness brackets. Hopefully Ill win the Billion Dollars. This is THAT online bracket contest right? The one started by Jimmy Buffett?
ReplyDeletei said it somewhere else, but it sucks that the only reason dbry
ReplyDeleteis getting his push is b/c A) the spot opened up with punk leaving and B)
the push really is as heavy as it is simply as a way to say "f you,
punk - this could have been your push"
is it possible that there was always a plan for punk to be in a triple threat at WM but they just never got around to telling him, and now everything is going exactly as it's been planned to go, except with dbry in punk's place?
it would be amusing on some level if punk simply didn't wait and see how it played out
It's kinda like Backlash 2000 where the stipulations for the Rock were ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI was waiting for them to come put and save Bryan at the end. The roof would have come off the place, imo.
ReplyDeleteTJJJJJJJJJJJJ: Anyone else listen to Nowinski on Jericho's podcast? It was really interesting.
ReplyDeleteI said it in another thread, but I'm guessing Bryan wins the belt at Mania and the show opens with a Bryan celebration. Triple H and Stephanie come and freak out about the "Yes Movement" screwing up "their" company... and that's when Vince comes back, strutting like he just shit his pants.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't every feud Sheamus is involved in generally have between 80-100% clean wins for the only guy who makes his opponents feel like less of a threat than Cena does?
ReplyDeleteNo, I mean sheamus and orton. Think about last year's post mania raw.
ReplyDeleteI can picture all situations with Riggs only while "American Males, American Males, American Males, American Males" is playing in the background. Both a drug run through the ghetto with that blasting on their car stereo and Brians post below with the bathroom Muzak being their theme song.
ReplyDeleteI went to RAW in December of 1997. UT wasnt live on the RAW show, but he did appear on the Shotgun Saturday Night taping beating Farooq I believe. Very odd.
ReplyDeleteBet girlfriends?
ReplyDeletei like to think that when batista was talking about "i didn't sign on for a triple threat" and "i came back to win the title," it was a classic case of "shoot comments that weren't meant to be shoot comments"
ReplyDelete"Orton has been busting ass just about every week since SummerSlam"
ReplyDeleteour little randy has made progress. now he's just busting ass instead of outright shitting
To anyone with Xbox issues, I don't feel bad for you. Especially when it works FLAWLESSLY on a PS3.
ReplyDeletethey have already done this in the past, as Lance Storm mentions in this past column of his:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.stormwrestling.com/100510.html
I would hold off, as awesome as they are, because it's widely expected that a new model will be out in the to next three months or so.
ReplyDeletethe curse of Triple H! if his match goes on last, hardly anyone really cares. if his match is hot, it's not ending Mania.
ReplyDeleteI'm still having huge problems using the ps3 though, which sucks. Works great on everything else.
ReplyDeletethe big angle for the post WM raw will be rooted in new orleans:
ReplyDeletea new stable of rodney mack, jazz will return, and lash leroux will close out the show standing tall!
hell yeah. especially if they would use that to get a Lesnar vs. Bryan ppv match out of it.
ReplyDelete"like" he just shit his pants?
ReplyDeletevince lives the gimmick, brother!
Why would you cancel the network and then plan on signing back up for wrestlemania? Just pay the 10 fucking dollars you cheapskate
ReplyDelete"my Roku HD isn't actually compatible with the Network"
ReplyDeleteif we get a roku, which version should we get? it looks like there are at least 3 versions, plus stuff like "roku mini" basically
"They altered the entire direction of their product to send a petty "fuck you" to punk."
ReplyDeleteftfy
So your argument is that I should have to dump even more money into this and buy a PS3 when I was promised that the Network would work on Xbox 360??
ReplyDeleteIt actually isn't JBL. Cranky Vince just copy and pasted JBL's tweet.
ReplyDeletethat's definitely not the ONLY reason why they changed plans. even if Punk is still around, I believe the WWE wouldn't have put Bryan in a midcard match after the reactions he got (especially at the Rumble and the "mainstream attention").
ReplyDeleteEspecially since to get Mania, you have to make a 6 month commitment and spend $60 anyway, why deal with all the hassle of calling customer service and getting the runaround to save $10?
ReplyDeleteI'd consider cancelling after my 6 months is up if the XBox problems continue. Worst case, I could probably complain to Microsoft and get a partial refund.
ReplyDeleteWell, he didn't no sell it. After the reveal of Steph being "married" to Triple H on the night of her bachelorette party, he tells her he needs space, and then she turns psycho bitch on him after she reveals that she really loved Triple H.
ReplyDeleteThere was plenty of times when the McMahon-Helmsley Era where Test was constantly booked in handicap matches.
Four of them belong to Riggs too
ReplyDeleteTurns out you should've bailed on the last 2 years of high school gyms there Stinger.
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone jobber, it works horribly on my ps3 up front and I have no idea why. It works great on my ps4 and it works great on the ps3 in the back room, which is actually the older model ps3. It just sucks on my newer model ps3
ReplyDeleteWorld Wrestling Entertainment
ReplyDeleteMaking It As Difficult To Quit the Network As It Is To Quit the Company
I'm the same way about Kane minus the X-Pac cage match.
ReplyDeleteWell the thing you have to consider is that Kayfabe came with a vengeance when they started and pulled the shoot biz from RF who had the lock for many many years.
ReplyDeleteIm sure Feinstein looked at his diminishing sales and said fuck it "more content" because while the youshoots arent the greatest thing ever its the presentation, the engaging host (when it comes to ECW/WWF performers rathe than WCW guys) the format, the different type of dvds (timeline is my favorite by far)
whereas RF just has Face off (which is hit or miss) Behind closed doors (which is another form of a shoot) and that crappy one that Maria did where SHE OF ALL PEOPLE EXPLAIN THE BUSINESS!!!
I mean really... Maria... explaining the wrestling biz.
o.O
The problem with the "who ran over Austin" storyline is that there was no logic behind the reveal. Who benefitted the most from Austin being run down? Big Show, since he got the title shot that night.
ReplyDeleteI still say Big Show would be less disappointing if he came out to the Unholy Alliance theme rather than "WEEEEELLLLLLLLL..."
ReplyDeleteI just don't care about Taker anymore. His promo is going to be about demons and soul reaping and getting to hell through going to heaven and all this other bullshit.
ReplyDeleteWHY CAN'T HE TALK LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!!!!!
ah...I fast forward through that
ReplyDeleteHow difficult is it to autograph bees?
ReplyDeleteIf you look at it like that, Austin only got his push because Triple H was being punished for the curtain call, Bret decided he wanted to work him rather than let a talented guy spin his wheels in the undercard, among other things.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the Maria Behind Closed Doors segment was a joke and no one gives a fuck about six hour long shoots from guys who are only known from CZW.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing too is that RF Video had already done shoots with most of the legends years ago. Who is really left for them to get as a big name? They have Hogan, Sting, and Austin for legends and those seem doubtful. Edge would be a nice addition and another Punk shoot will be huge for them, if he is done and agrees to do it again.
All they have left is for guys like Roma and Riggs who do not care about what they say and hoping another legend will agree to shoot with them. They got Ventura a year or two ago and that was a really fun shoot but besides that, who else have they gotten recently? The Timelines get the stars and those are really good shoots, and the YouShoot's are entertaining too. The only miss KC has are those terrible "Wrestling's Most......" shoots, which are fan voted and an absolute joke. Raven as the 5th best heel in wrestling history? Give me a break
No, just stop giving Microsoft money, they suck.
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone there, outside of the XBox problems when it works there it seems to work just fine, as compared to my PS3 where it just it can't decide on which video quality to stay at when it wants to work.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling Zack Ryder could get his $10 refund without issue.
ReplyDeleteDoes anybody know why some of the 1993 Raws are missing, specifically episodes 6, 11 and 14?
ReplyDeleteThey claimed on Facebook that there is no plan at the moment for content to rotate. As of now, once it's there it stays there unless they have some specific reason to pull it.
ReplyDeleteOf course, plans can change.
I sent a private facebook message to WWE Network about how I can't get the network to work on Google Chrome and they responded pretty quickly. Sure their advice didn't help but the timely response was nice.
ReplyDeleteDude, mine doesn't work well on chrome either. I have 0 idea why.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm happy I'm not the only one because everyone else seems to be having no problem with Chrome. I did everything that they suggested I do but it didn't work. Here, maybe you'll have more luck. Here's the two links they gave me on facebook with help information. They were no help to me...but maybe they will be to you.
ReplyDeletehttps://secure.net.wwe.com/account/help/help-center/?topic=subscribed/1/a_id/23/
https://secure.net.wwe.com/account/help/help-center/?topic=subscribed/1/a_id/24/
Just have AJ attack Stephanie, have Tamina turn on AJ.
ReplyDeleteBoom, problem solved.
I'm with ya. They should roll out an entire year of something. Raw...Nitro....whatever. Adding 1993 Raws every week or so isn't doing it for me.
ReplyDeleteAlright. Thanks. If i have any luck or figure something out I'll let you know
ReplyDeleteIt's got to be security settings. Nothing happens on Chrome for me, but it works perfectly with Firefox, which I don't use for anything else and have nothing other than factory settings.
ReplyDeleteSean Oliver is a great, engaging host. It's a shame he doesn't dig NWA/WCW as much as WWE or ECW. Cause I'd like to see more WCW content.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, on the Wrestling's Most being their weakest.
I also want to see Jesse's RF shoot, cause he's going to have a ton of stories, and just that voice and his cadence. It's like I said in an earlier post, I could listen to him and Gorilla on commentary all day.
Same here. I just recently made desktop shortcut for Firefox (which I never use either) specifically for this network.
ReplyDeleteit raises an interesting comparison b/w then and now. people have asked "what would have happened had hhh not been punished for the curtain call? there'd be no austin 3:16, and history might have been different"
ReplyDeletepeople have countered that with the notion that the cream rises to the top, that good talent is good talent, and they'd break through regardless, and that austin would have become a huge star despite the machine
counter that with today's world, where one might argue that dbry would make it despite the machine... but it's different b/c the machine is hellbent on keeping order and not letting anyone get too big unless it's already in their plans. don't forget that vince had to be convinced to end the wyatt/dbry angle early in order to move dbry onto different things
That's what I thought also. messed with the security settings but still couldn't get it to work correctly. Oh well, I'll try again.
ReplyDeleteIt's impossible, I tinkered with everything and couldn't figure out what was blocking the stream.
ReplyDeleteThat went right over my head :)
ReplyDeleteFor shame haha
Flair as the center of attention: Good, if you like Flair.
ReplyDeleteFlair as part of a "team": Uh-oh...
@Brian_Bayless @Jonathan Meisner
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking abt the Jesse shoot cuz it is great.
Its bullshit how he claims he was a SEAL, knowing damn well frogmen werent merged with SEALS until after he was discharged.
Other than that grade A shoot. His voice is really great and i never thought abt the cadence of him speaking, but thats a great point. I would have said, he got a speech guy running in politics, but he had that shit since the East-West Connection with the Adorable One. All them promos.
Then the announce booth
Then Acting...
by the time he ran for mayor first, all he needed was a speech writer and he was good.
Difference is, Hogan is the biggest name in the history of the business.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's how it should be. No reason for it to rotate.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you.
ReplyDeleteI know that I was able to find 14 using the search. They seem to appear then disappear and appear again. I'm watching episode 23 right now. Kamala versus Shawn is about what you would expect, but MAN was Shawn's heat nuclear.
ReplyDelete@Brian_Bayless in the future on slow news days such as this one you should just make up some shit or you could... speculate.
ReplyDeleteSpeculation is banned 'round these parts, sir
ReplyDeleteI am a rebel that plays by his own rules! If I don't go over at BoD 'Mania I will take my ball and go home.
ReplyDeleteBest part was when Feinstein asks him about the best "ribs" he had seen and Jesse shot him down, not knowing what he was talking about
ReplyDeleteI thought it was cool too. It's just odd that there was no mention from the Authority! of their hired henchman beating up their Director of Operations in front of God and everybody.
ReplyDeleteWe already have one "QotD" where someone makes a bunch of garbage up. Let Bayless maintain his hard news cred.
ReplyDeleteBiker Taker.
ReplyDeleteI really just wanted to see if he would scold me for "speculating"... I am also trying to cushion my lead over Farva before the weekend.
ReplyDeleteHe's too busy hanging out with Jimmy Hart at whatever man bar he hangs at.
ReplyDeleteIt's ok. Mine's only worthy of a Rhodes brothers preshow win anyways.
ReplyDeleteHow could you forget 'The Punisher' Andrew Martin?
ReplyDeleteI think he had one, maybe two, matches and he was gone.
Yeah the search feature has been wonky for me. Some stuff shows up on my phone but not computer, and vice versa. The search feature doesn't even work on the mobile app.
ReplyDeleteAll I want to do is watch old Raw chronologically!
I can sorta see Jesse's POV, where he was sort of a SEAL before the SEALS. Doesn't make it less silly. Plus, saying you're a former SEAL is going to be more badass than Frogman.
ReplyDeleteThat's the other thing. SEAL or no SEAL, and as much as I assume he's a nice guy if you get to know him, I wouldn't want to test him.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Sandow getting heavier? Unused a and uninspired.
ReplyDeleteMan does the finish to Great American Bash 88 suck balls. Not to beat this dead horse but I can understand holding off on lexs big win through some nefarious means but to put all the heat on the "Maryland State Athletic Commission" like that is fucking retarded because how could it ever pay off?
ReplyDeleteVery when they sting.
ReplyDeleteRollin Rollin.
ReplyDeleteIt works better on Internet Explorer than Chrome.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they'll turn, I just don't see a whole lot in interest, because they basically ran most of the angles worth mentioning before Bryan got the belt.
ReplyDeleteSee, they treated Bryan like the top face even though he wasn't the champion, which was just stupid.
Brock would be nice, but I don't know his date structure and how much he can work.
Just like the company, dead.
ReplyDeleteWWE isn't a company I want to be able to charge me automatically and trust nothing will go wrong.
ReplyDeleteJesse already did a RF video shit. It was meh.
ReplyDeleteToo Soon!
ReplyDeleteChris Hero was a huge get for them. First time ever getting dirt on NXT. It's a great shoot.
ReplyDeleteDunkin Donuts Guy has an opinion!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that'll be at "WM" - Bryan is about to win, some combo of Trips/Kane/Vince tries to interfere, "Shield" counters that interference.
ReplyDeleteFinished Mania 7 and on to Summerslam 91...man things were different back then. People today freak out for a few no one cares about going on for a month. Slaughter as the top heel bombed for the biggest show of the year so what do they do for summerslam? add Sheik and warrior and push the same Iraq angle thats even less in people's minds by the summer.
ReplyDeleteI have that and it was great. It lost on a poll I put up a month ago.
ReplyDeleteReally? Thought that was a really good shoot
ReplyDeleteWorks fine for me on Firefox. But I use Chrome. It's not a big deal at all though cause for the most part I watch it on my PS3. But sometimes I just want to watch a quick clip on my computer and would prefer to just open another Chrome tab.
ReplyDeleteWatching WrestleWar 1990, which opened with the best. rap. EVER. I may become a fan of the hip-hop.
ReplyDeleteWhile I wouldn't say that Show has had many "great" matches, I do like him a lot and really respect how hard he works to make other people look good - at his size and age, there's no reason that he should be taking flipping bumps off of knees to the gut, and yet he does just about every week. He also doesn't have an ego when it comes to selling for guys that are literally half of his size.
ReplyDeleteThat said, a few really good matches do come to mind: Brock/Angle/Show from "Vengeance, 2003" is one of my absolute favorite matches of all time. His matches with Sheamus in 2012 were damned good (specifically at "Hell In A Cell, 2012"), and I liked his series with Del Rio as well (especially their match on the 1/11/13 episode of "Smackdown"). His match with Henry at "Money In The Bank, 2011" was also pretty good.
Granted, that's only a handful of matches over a twenty-year career, and his best match did also happen to involve Brock and Angle, but I do think that he's underrated. Maybe his matches are usually around 2* or 3*, but he busts his ass in the ring and tries to make his opponents look good. Not a lot of guys his size would sell for Rey Mysterio or Daniel Bryan.
Christ. The fucking Dynamic Dudes were around much longer than I remember.
ReplyDeleteHey Homeboy...gather around some serious stuff is gonna go down
ReplyDeleteIf you did that from memory, well...that's a bit scary.
ReplyDelete...i looked it up to make sure I had it right.....is that any better? my favorite part is the beginning ...Flair manages to be rolling his eyes while lip synching to the rap.
ReplyDeleteThat WCW contract should have included a dental plan.
ReplyDeleteLISA NEEDS BRACES
ReplyDeleteYeah, because God knows the PS has a stellar reliability record.
ReplyDelete<^> (-.-) <^>
ReplyDeleteI made sure to use PayPal when I did the free trial (I've since cancelled). I knew I could just break the billing agreement if WWE screwed up or tried some billing shenanigans. Worst case scenario would be deleting my pay types from the account.
ReplyDeleteStill scary.
ReplyDeleteSo basically the TBS and TNT daytime lineups?
ReplyDeletecan'tw ait for tomorrows QotD where you ask "What is your best sex story" and you steal all of parallax's posts about banging married women and pass it off as your own.
ReplyDeleteHe's a great hand and works hard to make guys look good but I don't think it justifies the role he's had over the years.
ReplyDeleteTo have that many main events it shouldn't be that hard to say I remember that Big Show match against so-and-so that tore the house down or something to that affect. But nope, not one.
I've heard the story before.
ReplyDeleteIt's weird, because if you ask most women, Christian gets some pretty good reviews, if you catch my drift.
You want him speculate? Isn't it bad enough he posts all these subscription based websites copyrighted material on a daily basis?
ReplyDeleteI know, I remember being annoyed that it lost in the thread. And considering who the audience is, Hero discussing NXT is a way bigger deal than a Jesse shoot.
ReplyDeleteI am going to illegally download every movie. Ever. Just to piss you off.
ReplyDeleteI remember it seemed that Jesse was annoyed to be there.
ReplyDelete*consults schedule*
ReplyDeleteNah, tomorrow is....either "Best Wrestlemania Match Ever" sent in from a guy name Joe.
Or "If I were President" about what you'd do if you were commander-in-chief
A "brief history of your handle" which is about your screen name,
An old post about a sacred cows
Or a Kevin Smith Appreciation thread. We shall see. We shall seeeeeeeee
Watry? Is that you?
ReplyDeleteKeep it up and you will be demoted to the "Money on the Table" Preshow match
ReplyDeleteHe only seemed annoyed by Feinstein's moronic questions
ReplyDeleteWHERE'S MY BURRITO! WHERE'S MY BURRITO!
ReplyDeleteSame here.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing after the trial and Mania we'll get the full showing of what it should be. But as it stands, I'll stick to the hard drive if it doesn't change. Newer fans are probably loving the PPV's, but the hardcore fans are the people streaming the shows for free.
It's only $60 bucks and i'll get Mania, but this isn't what they advertised by any means. At the announcement event they falsely advertised in areas as well.
1. The entire home video catalog would be on demand.
2. Shows would be available to stream after first airing on the network stream. (Steph's wedding Raw and Ironman Smackdown still not in the library a week later).
The only stuff from the library is the "outside the ring" stuff and that's all available on Netflix anyway.
WILD THING!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy some shows down? Some wcw ones including chi town rumble.
ReplyDeleteThis update was. Tomorrow when you post all the notes from Mike Johnson's hotline won't be.
ReplyDeleteTrying to get this resolved. Half hour of my life gone already. First rep said, "Sure, everything's fine! I just need to transfer you." And he did. And second rep is confused as heck. But at least I heard the old Edge theme song "You Think You Know Me", along with Daniel Bryan's theme.
ReplyDeleteHow bout Sting on Raw after Mania? Book it. After reading about is Q & A in the UK, Hogan maybe greasing the wheels a little bit, and him now being booked in the hotel down the street from Vince during Mania week....we may actually have something here????
ReplyDeleteI think it would kick ass. But I've been around awhile, so Stinger still holds value in my eyes. A match vs Taker would be pretty awesome, or even Kane or Trips.
Fucking christ. Freebirds vs Tom Zenk and Pillman. Horrible.
ReplyDeleteI pay for porn. You'd be proud
ReplyDeleteI've been watching the genesis of the Von Erich-Freebirds feud. It's hilarious how the heels never bother to watch videotape that could easily clear up what caused the feud in the first place.
ReplyDeleteAll done. Only 37 minutes of my life gone. Yay!
ReplyDeleteWhy would Cena?
ReplyDeleteMy point is that main event faces don't run out to save people as a standard. Unless they're saving a wrestler from someone they, the main eventer, is feuding with.
There's no reason for Cena to save Daniel Bryan, the same way there's no reason for Daniel Bryan to save John Cena. WWE main eventers handle their own stuff; always have, always will. They take beatings like men.
Or, to put it another way, Green Lantern doesn't rush in to save Batman from Bane.
"Man bar" Lol
ReplyDeleteI would too, if I lived in myrtle beach
ReplyDeleteSick burn bro
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I could show you my SURPRISE LOOK at your contrarianism.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to think people viewed wrestling in the 1980s as a real sport, which isn't true. Then you said if the outcome was never in doubt, there would be less point in watching, which also isn't true. People watch real sporting events where the favorite is likely to win all the time.
Equating Hogan's run in the mid-1980s to the Undertaker's Streak is so stupid that it defies logic. Hogan was defending a belt and it was not assumed that he would triumph; Undertaker is defending a streak that we know isn't going to end. Your fellow contrarian, who is apparently a mark, said that he's buying Lesnar winning the match. Any functioning adult who has watched pro wrestling for more than two hours knows Lesnar isn't winning.
Not a fan I take it
ReplyDeleteOh hell yea, you're mad
ReplyDeleteSoon they'll be making thinly veiled juvenile pot shots on Raw aimed at anyone who quit the network
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was going to mention that as the point that Test was pretty much DOA in that angle. Your girlfriend gets drugged and unwittingly married to someone against her will and you...blame her for it? Makes you look like an asshole.
ReplyDeleteAnd why people continually pine for Test to this day I'm never going to get, other than as another piece of illogical Triple H hate I guess.
Having Test as the champ probably would have meant no Triple H/Foley match at RR 2000.
ReplyDeleteThey'll probably start reading users' credit card info on the air like Bischoff with old Raw spoilers.
ReplyDeleteDude, this isn't that complicated: Test sucked balls, WWF 2000 was awesome, and Triple H was God. Thank God they just left Test behind and didn't make a bigger deal out of that in place of the Triple H/Foley feud or something.
ReplyDeleteHe wouldn't have had it that long. HHH was getting that belt back. this we know.
ReplyDeleteXbox service is awful and their reps have zero answers. I've been on the phone and computer multiple times zero results. Complete bullshit with no daylight in sight.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Roku 3 is almost flawless with the Network. Second only to my PS3 slim top-loader.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that older PS3 models have more problems with the network, especially the "fat" models. I have the "super slim" top loader PS3 (which I bought after my old one got the YLOD) that came out last year, and it works great with the network.
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't think the guy should be a consistent main-eventer, I do think that he has a very important position in the company of helping give credibility to others. Whether it's allowing a smaller guy like Rey or Benoit to look good by showing that technique and tenacity can overcome sheer size, or allowing a bigger guy like Sheamus or Brock to show just how strong they are, it's important to have someone like that on the roster.
ReplyDeleteSure, he doesn't provide 5* matches, but he does help others get to the next level; Show himself isn't the biggest star on the roster, but he's certainly helped to create some of them (Cena and Brock, most notably).
What Scott said.
ReplyDeleteSave your "Cancelling the network" Emails. You are stupid anyway, to not jump in at 10 bucks, because this price is absolutely going up.
Layla is back!
ReplyDeleteNot to sound like a downer, but why is Triple H allowed to get away with stuff in his storylines but no one else is? Drowning a man, choking a man, chairshots to the head, etc. The same stuff would get everyone else on the roster fired. Heck, Bryan even got fired for the choking thing.
ReplyDeleteI'd reckon $13-14 bucks a month soon.
