Recommended viewing: Battle Bowl '93. Just for curiosity's sake. Not a great show, really. But the concept was different, and it gave us the team of Ric Flair and Steve Austin. Besides, if you don't like it you could always watch Bash '89 or Wrestlemania X-7 to get your BoD street cred back.

  1. Boy, they really love that WM 28-29 combo, don't they? Why not throw some other random WM shows in there with a week to go?

  2. They started with 25 on the first Sunday night, and have gone to the next one each Sunday. This is the first time 29 has aired.

  6. I think all the faces won in Summerslam 92.

Even the heel/heel match ended in a DDQ.

  7. Nailz beat Virgil, which was definitely heel over a face.
There was also a Natural Disasters win over the Beverley Brothers, but I can't remember which was the face at that point.

  8. Armageddon 2000 came super close ....

    Radicals over Team Xtreme
    Regal over Hardcore Holly
    Val Venis (RTC) over Chyna
Chris Jericho over Kane (only face victory)
Edge and Christian win Tag Team Turmoil
Chris Benoit over The One Billy Gunn
    Ivory over Trish & Molly
Angle retains belt in HIAC 6-pack

  9. And even then, Hogan was assisted by a heel (Undertaker) in his victory.

  10. kind-of. the crowd definitely treated Michinoku like he was the babyface but afaik "officially" they hadn't established any form of character for him or Sasuke.

  11. The Disasters. Beau and Blake Beverly were never faces.

The shitty Armageddon 2003 came close, 5 out of 7, but all the championship matches went to the heels (Evolution won all the titles, and Molly Holly retained the women's title). As soon as Evo was a surprise entrant in the Tag Team Turmoil to win the tag titles after Orton won the IC title, it wasn't a big jump to know wHHHo was gonna win the world title match.
