  1. Here's the holy grail I want: Brock/Rock II from a house show in 2003...in Miami.

  2. WrestleMania 4 might be Hogan's most coked up promo.

  3. *imagining in Rachel Greene's voice*

With WWE, it's never off the table.

  4. You don't say!?! You should write a book, bro.

  5. Watching Bash '92 wishing that we could've seen a 1-on-1 Steamboat/Liger match.

Nah...I was just watching Wrestlemania I and was pondering the crappy match Andre and Studd had. I'm sure we can start and end the list with Uncle Elmer.

  7. Cool shirt. This guy gets it

    ReplyDelete
  8. So, I skipped the MSG house show last night, and apparently, it featured a main event tag team match (playa) between Cena/Batista and Wyatt/Orton. Batista gave Cena a Batista bomb while Wyatt gave Sister Abigail to Orton, leading to a Cena AA on Orton for the win.

Kind of annoyed I didn't go, honestly. But unless I get called to jury duty at the end of the month, I'm definitely going to the March 24th Raw in Brooklyn. I won't get this shirt, maybe a Daniel Bryan one. Or, if they're still selling Punk shirts at a discount...

    ReplyDelete
  9. Liger just hit Steamboat with the quickest, smoothest backslide I've ever seen.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Watching Uncensored 1995, yeah I know....

Anyways, how the hell did Warrior not sue the shit out of WCW for the whole Renegade thing? I mean there were other lawsuits later with the whole WWE suing WCW for Hall and Nash portraying the same characters and all.

renegade was such a cheap rip off.

  11. This is why his Michaels feud was so brilliant, because it played into Cena's usual ambivalence, as he not only anticipated the betrayal, but talked about it openly with Michaels before it happened. So, when it did, it wasn't about Cena fabricating some emotion or no-selling an unforeseen backstabbing from a dear friend, it was about two old gunslingers who both thought they were the best and the inevitability of that tearing apart their (fruitful) partnership. That it led to three awesome matches (two singles, plus my favorite 4-Way ever) was just gravy.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Part of that was Andre did NOT care for Studd...

    ReplyDelete
  13. Nah dude, you gotta make it all about yourself. Look out for number one. Fuck her doggy style and then point at yourself in the mirror like Patrick Bateman.

    ReplyDelete
  14. *ahem* Started watching when I was 7 and am still watching at 21.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Curious to the blog's opinion on this, and to see what I can sit through.... So....

What are the top 5 worst ppv main events available on the network?

    ReplyDelete
  16. It's going to get cheers from the people booing him now

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sure but it's even better if even Heenan, who has always hated Hogan's guts is cheering for him to take down Hall and Nash.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yeah, Brick killed a guy!

    Sting/Black Scorpion from Starrcade 90

    The Undertaker-Faarooq from KOTR 97
    Diesel-Mabel from Summerslam 95

  20. What about Hogan/Beefcake from Starrcade 94?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Stranger in the AlpsMarch 9, 2014 at 7:02 PM

Looks like I had blocked that one from my memory.

    ReplyDelete
  22. You're right...but that feud was seven years ago or so! We've had to endure so much apathetic Cena, it's insane! The dude's father gets beat up once a year and he still barely cares!

    ReplyDelete
  23. They're playing Wrestlemania 26 on the Network now. Holy shit, I forgot how awful Matt Striker was. Even if he just said "Hello" I'd be annoyed for some reason.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Bill Simmons trashing him on ESPN was so satisfying for me. I know Vince controls the announcers down to their breathing patterns but man that guy went from really solid announcer to horrible so quickly.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Royal Rumble 91...on the timeline, it says "The Mountie Gets His Man with a sidewalk slam." Nice touch.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Millions of other people weren't spoiled to it until then.

    ReplyDelete
  27. This Triple H/Sheamus match is strange. How are the announcers able to speak when they are so busy trying to shove Triple H's cock in each of their mouths?

    ReplyDelete
  28. And the vast majority still weren't spoiled until Hogan dropped the leg... Bobby was still a heel.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Probably the same way the announcers always talk:

    Out of their asses.

    ReplyDelete
  30. CENA'S FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Nash-Mabel Summerslam 95

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yea I love that he at least has a sense of humor about it, and NEVER let's a crowd get to him.

  33. You finally found the g spot??? Lol jk

  35. Not familiar with this story. ..

    ReplyDelete
  36. There was nothing more disappointing than seeing Bret coming out to fight in jean shorts.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I knew people HYPED for that match thanks to the matches Vince was in with Shane, Shawn, and Hogan. I actually had to say, outloud, to mark wrestling fans: "I don't think Bret can go like Hogan could".

I died a little that day.

    ReplyDelete
  38. How many nickels do I need to give you to start a "Blog Otters" chant at Raw!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Please, I'll be up in the Ueker seats with my people (other cheap bastards). I can try and start one if you'd like, though.

    ReplyDelete
  40. We need flyers!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Add on to the fact that everyone was forced to listen to the Hart Family heckling Vince at ringside.

And I just got a shot of Vince's yellow tongue.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I guess I'm in the minority. This is a must buy for me. They put a few segments with Jericho after the show on his DVD, and they were fantastic. I think they did a few on one of Stone Cold's DVDs as well. I love seeing the guys break character and goof off. To me these type are the type of out of the box things that will keep their DVD business going in spite of the network. At least for a little while.

    ReplyDelete
  43. So Jericho goes from wrestling as World Champ at 26, to wrestling the WWE Champ at 28, to wrestling Fandango at 29.

    Yeah.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I love this idea! One from each company!

    ReplyDelete
  45. You want to watch Starrcade 94 to watch Paul Levesque jobbed to Alex Wright.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ok, if that is the list, then I have seen all of those. I've even seen the Uncensored 1996 triple cage match. Ugh! Of course I'm a huge Hogan fan and Savage is freaking awesome too. Of that list though, I gotta go Undertaker vs Sid is the worst, Diesel vs Mabel is bad too. But even though I'm in the minority, I like the Black Scorpion, especially Starrcade 1990.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I watched that, not too long ago, and it sucked. Nash's story about that match on his shoot interview is really good, and funny.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Now that match sucked.

    ReplyDelete
  49. What about the extreme elimination chamber from December to dismember? Where does that rank on the crappy scale?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Watching WrestleMania 26 on the line feed, and Jericho's heel character was wasted. The suits. The promos. he should have been world champion for life based on that. Instead he got a weak match with overrated Edge and lost the World belt (I almost said IC belt) to JACK FUCKING SWAGGER OF ALL GODDAMNED PEOPLE two nights later.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Sadly, by the time there was a national stage for him, he was so far out of shape and living off his reputation. I've seen matches with him (like early, 70s shit with Hogan on Hogan's first DVD) and was amazed it was the same guy.

    ReplyDelete
  52. You're more obsessed with him than anyone employed at WWE. How do YOU so it?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Well he's got us there.

    ReplyDelete
  54. That game was really fucking hard.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Even you have to admit the verbal blow jobs they give this guy are ridiculous at times.

For crying out loud, they had a video package airing for weeks talking about how great his match with Undertaker was. You know who didn't need verbal blow jobs on commentary? Austin, Foley, and the Rock. Even John Cena doesn't get that much verbal love from the commentary team.

    ReplyDelete
  56. If you mean the Simmons thing, during one of the Wrestlemania diaries Simmons went out of his way to point out how insufferable Striker was being.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/100330

Apparently Striker took it personally and fired back on Smackdown after wrestlemania. Nobody cared though, Simmons won the feud pretty definitively and Striker deteriorated from that point on just making Simmons look more and more right as time went on.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I don't think I ever beat the game the legit way. Only way I could beat Puma was on countouts. I don't even know if it was possible to beat Puma without the countout.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I was there and it's nothing to write home about. Obviously better than plenty of TV matches we get, but you could tell they were really holding back.

    ReplyDelete
  59. And it means that he'll be holding it just long enough for John Cena to swing on over and Rise Above Hate for the hundredth time.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I gotta imagine the interns responsible for tagging those videos must get REALLY bored.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'm in Scotland, the weather is terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yeah, Triple H was in that...Also, The Unamericans came back out for this too....I have been wanting to see this again since 2002, and i'm so excited it will be included..Also, looking forward to The Rock Fan Smells It segment....It was the night of Goldberg's debut, and The Rock sold the spear for almost 20 minutes after during this segment...I love this stuff!!!
