For recommended viewing, last night's Warrior Week special "Warrior's Greatest Matches" can be found under Originals>Original Specials. I caught it on the live stream when it aired last night, and I thought it was very good. I have not seen the new Warrior DVD set, but I believe the Warrior speaking segments, and the match selection itself are from the new set. WWE has spliced in newly recorded segments just for this special, however, including an appearance by Sting. Two matches in particular stand out: one with Ted Dibiase in Tokyo and the match from SNME with Rick Rude, which I have only ever seen the one time it aired, and it was surprisngly good. Seek this show out.

It seems at the moment they are adding a RAW a day.
ReplyDeleteAre the 93 flashback Raws available in the vault? I can't seem to find them.
ReplyDeleteunder In Ring, then RAW
ReplyDeleteCheck them under In Ring>RAW Replays.
ReplyDeleteThat Dibiase match is brutal. It's five minutes of Ted getting clotheslined.
ReplyDeleteKid vs. Shawn is pretty good if I remember right. Is that the match where Shawn drops Ramon with a Razor's Edge on the floor after? Or did that come later?
ReplyDeleteYou guys are gods among men. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteBe warned by the time you get towards the end of 93 M.O.M. shows up and the J E double FF J a Double R e Double T vignettes start.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else Notice Sting on the Warrior Special last night? It was brief but the first sign that he did indeed sign a contract with the company
ReplyDeleteDon't forget about the Quebecers. Their entrance theme might just be the best worst thing that happened to WWE in the '90s.
ReplyDeleteWatching the new December RAW that was up today. Tatanka Vs. Borga. So tired of seeing that weird little guy in the yellow shirt scarfing down food in the front row on these Mid-Hudson Civic Center shows
ReplyDeletewhich sucks because i kind of liked the mountie's song
ReplyDeleteThis might be as good a time as ever to admit I'm on day 4 of an alcohol bender. Alice in chains "Dirt" album never sounded so good.
ReplyDeleteI approve of everything in this statement.
ReplyDeletePositively. Also, I approve of everything Warrior-related.
ReplyDeleteIve seen this Legends of Wrestling a couple times and every time I get upset that they either dont mention or quickly pass over the 3 best huge guys of my lifetime in Bam Bam, Vader, and Bossman.
ReplyDeleteAny big man discussions that leave out or gloss over Vader and/or Bigelow lose credibility in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteIf its the match I'm thinking of yeah it was pretty good. And Shawn nails Razor with a couple Razor's Edges on the floor afterward if I remember correctly. I was a huge Shawn fan around this time and loved seeing this.
ReplyDeleteThey need to add '2002' to the drop-down menu for Raw Replays, so you can pull up the Rock-Hogan episode they've aired already...especially since the search function is still fugazy.
ReplyDeleteI thought the Giants episode should have been a half hour..they ran out of steam fast and devolved into listing names...Hey remember this guy....and this guy...
ReplyDeleteIt is that match and it's good..other than Shawn laying Hall down gently with the Razor Edge
ReplyDeleteTime For WrestlingMania X in my chronological watching
ReplyDeleteI did notice that, and I'm kinda surprised a bigger deal hasn't been made out of it...but it technically doesn't mean he's signed a contract. They simply could have tracked him down to do a quick video for Warrior.
ReplyDeleteJust watched Summerslam 1991's "Match Made in Hell" and was ASTONISHED at how surprisingly fun it was.
ReplyDeleteTJ: been reading some Warrior stuff. Any truth that he was supposed to turn heel during the Savage WM match but he nixed the idea
ReplyDeleteThey need to add the Austin - Flair episode.
ReplyDeleteYea I have always wanted to hear more about this. I just don't see it working. IT seems like it should have been Savage. Maybe Warrior could have been a great crazy bad guy but I feel it would have come off half assed.
ReplyDeleteIf he turned heel to retire Savage, I could see him getting heel heat. I don't know how sustainable it would have been tho. He was still massively over as a face.
ReplyDelete"While you were making movies, Thunderlips, I was winning world titles."
ReplyDeleteOne of the best soundbites ever
