Network Update

Thanks to the sharp eye of fellow BoDer BretHart1987, I can confirm that Clash of the Champions XXII has been uploaded. Go to Search, type in Clash of the Champions, and at the bottom of Page 1, you will find it. I am unable to find where it is via any other method. The show has a one hour and forty five minute running time, so it should be the entire card. Check it out!

  1. So we have to play Where's Waldo to find shows? If so, I'm in!

It just may be....*may be*...a sign that more content is currently being uploaded.

    ReplyDelete
  3. So, now we're finally getting somewhere!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I do find it strange that Clash XXII would be the one to be uploaded first, if that's the case, but whatever. I'll take what I can get.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Wow. Hell of a find.

    ReplyDelete
  6. "This is Renegade's final appearance with the company. How in the world did he survive this long?"

    Um...

    ReplyDelete
  7. Tommy I don't feel like you get enough love on the blog. You do some great work.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Oh, Larry Zbysko and Erik Watts on screen together. Yikes.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I watched this show about a month ago. It's pretty good.

This was the Mick Foley push. Also, the debut of Chris Benoit and the Dragon Suplex.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm at the Too Cold Scorpio video. So awful. Love it,

    ReplyDelete
  13. Capetta doing a little jig with Scorpio when he comes out as well was also awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  14. He wouldn't survive much longer!

    ReplyDelete
  15. WCW-related, someone made a 40 minute recap of the Outsiders/Flair/Piper feud/heat on youtube. Interesting stuff and explains why Flair bashes the Outsiders any time someone gives him an opening like "Hi Ric, how's the weather?".

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm amazed that this is the first Clash uploaded because it was this very show that gave me my first glimpse of Benoit. I had never seen anything like the Dragon Suplex before and, combined with the mullet, I was totally hooked in on the guy.

  17. Minnesota ties it up!

TJ: The other day I picked up this portable game system called Sega Ultimate Portable Game Player. It had some great games installed in it I wanted to play, it has a decent size screen and it can hook up to the TV. But it wasn't till today that I realized how awesome this little thing is. It has an SD card slot. You can put ROM versions (in BIN file format) of Sega games on an SD card then plug the SD card into the handheld system. It's basically a portable emulator. It works great too. I've already put a bunch of games on the SD card. So, any suggestions for what I should download next?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Why doesn't the network have an actual search engine? Say I want Flair matches from 1982 against Jack Veneno...why can't I apply those filters? Midget cages matches? Diva Taipei Deathmatch?

    ReplyDelete
  20. The PS3 app search function doesn't work like that. You type in a search term, and unless there are matching key words that pop up, you can't actually do a search. For example, if I type in "Muta", I get nothing. If I type in "Clash", I get "Clash of the Titus" and nothing else.

    ReplyDelete
  21. And now I know what I'll be doing after hockey.

  22. Stranger in the AlpsApril 30, 2014 at 8:25 PM

If you try "Clash of the Champions", will that help?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Can't find it on my Roku or I Pad. When are we getting some Mid South, AWA, World Championship wrestling shows? It's seems like a slam dunk to show some old WCW Saturday Nights on the live feed at 5 on Saturdays. Don't get me wrong I'm still very happy with the Network but I was hoping for much more of the older stuff to be available. I would imagine that when the 6 month commitments are getting ready to expire you will see a lot more stuff added to keep people from dropping the Network.

  24. Starflight, rolling thunder 2, splatterhouse 3, toejam and earl, ristar, shinobi 3, streets of rage, streets of rage 2, gunstar hero

Trust me those games all rule

  25. Because he's a sad old man?

    ReplyDelete
  26. I found it using my laptop. Just curious if anyone else notices that certain shows only show up on certain devices. For example there are many episodes of Old School that I can access on my I Pad but not on my Roku player.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Stranger in the AlpsApril 30, 2014 at 8:48 PM

I know nothing of the PS3, Roku or Etc. interfaces. Sorry, dude. But it's THERE!

  28. Magoonie NOT Teddy BelmontApril 30, 2014 at 8:58 PM

Thanks man. The system came with the three streets of rage games so yesterday I beat the first one and today I beat the second one (playing as the pro wrestler character of course). I forgot how much fun those games were. The others aren't on there, already downloaded the three shinibi games as I've heard they good. Also downloaded earthworm Jim, I remember loving that game.

  29. I can't find it either, so I can only conclude that Stranger is a lying scumbag. It's like that feeling every guy gets, when you hire a hooker for the night and she tells you that she loves you and she's off drugs for good, but then steals your wallet and uses your credit card to buy crack from the dealer. And then she lies to you again when you hire her to get your wallet back and says that she used the money to buy school supplies for her son, jobber123, but you can feel the needle scratching against your leg and it's pretty suspicious. And then you're like "Jesus, do you have AIDS too?" and she lies about THAT and then steals your wallet again.

I think we've all been there before, and now we're all there again. Thanks a lot. I blame jobber123.

  30. What he said. Even though he should be banned for life for blatant sizeism.

    ReplyDelete
  31. To find Heroes of Wrestling, search for "minus five stars" and hold your PS4 controler in front of you like you're swinging your penis.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Watching Havoc 91 right now. Sorry, but im a total mark for the Chamber of Horrors match

    ReplyDelete
  33. Stranger in the AlpsApril 30, 2014 at 9:34 PM

    Not you too!

Of note: other search terms that may help: Shane Douglas or Thundercage.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm watching the exact same show! That bump was insane. This is a really good show. Eaton vs Taylor and Austin vs Dustin are awesome and Garvin vs mero is really good. I'm up to the van hammer match which is comically bad but overall I!m loving this show

    ReplyDelete
  35. You have gotten on the bad side of the Franchise Player and the Authority... your days are numbered.

    ReplyDelete
  36. They told me she was in Canada to help build a church, and she lost all that weight from working so hard!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hell yea. Eaton and Taylor is such a great match.

1991 WCW rocks (aside from Great American Bash of course)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Two years later, Foley actually tried to end his career at Halloween Havoc, but couldn't do it.

HIMYM told by Scott Keith. Better ending then the show too.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ok, so it shows up on my laptop, but not on Apple devices.

    I repeat: So very random.

  41. Stranger in the AlpsApril 30, 2014 at 9:47 PM

That's OK. I'll start my own blog by hooking up with this chick who's daddy is on the board of directors at this electric company.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Shows up on my tablet but not my ps3. Haven't checked my laptop yet.

Yeah, his body was just too absorbent. Reading that part of the book you feel bad for the guy. Just spinning his wheels, looking for a way out through really hurting himself bad. Thankfully he rejuvenated himself with ECW and Japan and was then able to break it big in the WWF.

  47. How is a match between Morton and Pillman not good?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'll jump ship right after I get wellness violated so long as 1)I only have to work once a week 2)I get paid through the electric company not the blog 3)I don't have to put over any of your home grown talent 4)you let me hire my friends 5)parallax1978 takes all my drug tests for me

  50. I wonder if I am missing out on an untapped revenue stream by not selling my piss...

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yea that match blew for some reason. Very boring

    ReplyDelete
  52. Skimming thru Bash 91, not surprised to see WWE black out the screen and put up the "technical difficulties" banner up, instead of airing Pillman's "Johnny B Gay" rant and him leading the crowd in a "faggot" chant at Badd

    ReplyDelete
  53. Great review, as I remember most of these old shows. Good job.

    ReplyDelete
  54. How on earth can a show be this awful with an overload of talent. Almost to the point where there should be no squash matches. I mean c'mon, the names at this show alone, in front of 33,000 on live tv during the Wars......
Hart, Flair, Luger, Nash, Goldberg, DDP, Giant, Poppa Pump, Jericho, Bigelow, Raven, Saturn, Booker T, Mysterio, Guerrero, Benoit, Malenko, Konan.
And look how many of these guys BLEW UP under Vince in the WWE. Shame.
    Damn you WCW.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I figure you got to say that 5 times last night

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm usually not a fan of censoring past shows (blood, missed spots, choking, etc.) but in this case I do support it. Simply not something that needs to be seen in today's world (and didn't back then but we weren't quite as evolved.)

I liked Vaders responce to that on Foley's newest DVD. Paraphrasing he said that Mick wasnt the first guy to try and end his career against him, but hes not sure if thats a great legacy to leave.

  66. AverageJoeEverymanMay 1, 2014 at 7:46 AM

Holy god that Hammer match! They blew every single move in that match.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I hated that Wrath lost to Nash, but I could see an argument for it, in that Goldberg's streak isn't as special if someone else is also doing the same kind of gimmick. However, Wrath needed to move up the ladder against higher talent and win a few matches for him to continue to matter. What they did made him look like a baseball player who gets called up to the majors, can't play well enough, and gets sent back to the minors.

At this point, Wrath needed to be in the TV title picture.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Eaton vs. Taylor is my all-time favorite match. An unknown ***** classic. That Hammer match is awful, but hilarious. It's like a grizzled veteran like Doug Sommers was intentionally botching moves to make Hammer look like a doofus, not that he needed much help. It was Paul Roma type sabotage, haha

    ReplyDelete
  69. I'm STILL bitter about Nash beating Wrath.

    ReplyDelete
  70. He was a sad old man back then to it seems - and a bit of a pussy.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I was there, and that also started my fandom of him. The only time I had previously seen him was in the Clash XIX NWA tag tourney.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I always thought he was just bouncing from Scorpio's somersault into the ring.
